tbh we're not even used to them talking about buddie like that, a year ago Kristen Reidel and FOX were actively trying to destroy the relationship between them and make the show as heteronormative as possible, it genuinely feels like there was a shift in the timeline after ABC took over

I think what is weirding out people with the way the cast and the showrunner are talking about buddie, is that they're talking about it like it's any other "will they won't they" storyline.
