I can’t tell you how many times I have watched the Armageddon 1999 match between Kane and X-Pac. Leading up to the match, there was weeks! of Kane losing and getting tricked by DX and just getting absolutely slammed (if I remember correctly). This match though is so fantastic. I eat it up every time.

I am going to point out some notable/interesting things that happen below.

Kane checking the fence and just yanking (lol) on that crap in the before the match starts.

Jerry reiterating the many inappropriate things that X-Pac supposedly said about Kane's personal anatomy..... if you know you know.....💀

Kane's reverse attire in general.

"JR YOU SAID P3NIS!"

The handcuffs that DX threw in the ring and Jerry's claim that Tori threw them in there bc she gets a little freaky.

Kane subsequently breaking through the cuffs.

A while back, @mary-aisha reminded me of the doomsday outfit that Glenn Jacobs wore back in 1997 when he was with the USWA for a couple months post diesel and before Kane.

In case you didn't know, Glenn Jacobs wrestled as "Doomsday" back when he was first starting out, then he wrestled under "Unabom" in the 1995 in SMW. Then he got recruited to WWF and played Isaac Yankem and then Diesel II. Since he had an open contract, he went back to USWA before they went under and fought as Doomsday again, but this time he had the gear from the Unabom days. This included his mask from Unabom's entrance... and his harness....

Yeah, so instead of wrestling in just the trunks, boots, and gloves of Unabom he wore that as well as the body harness, neckpiece and painted hockey mask in the ring, along with the long dark hair of Diesel II. The only thing he took off was the cape when he fought.

So the mask was probably there so that nobody would be like omg Yankem or Fake Diesel !

Anyways, there was a few plot points in the USWA where his mask would be removed and he would get mad, but you can't see his face very well (😭).

That being said, holy mountain of a man. Jacobs was HUGE during this time. I am still in shock when I watch a match (example).

Also..... I think that Jacobs knew of Kane somewhat into his run as Doomsday because if you watch his matches it is like he was practicing the part.

Also I can't help but think of how in Jacob's book Mayor Kane that he discussed how when Kane was first being created that he said Vince had him fly to NY so he would try on the Doomsday outfit for him and talk character development for early Kane... You can't tell me that Vince didn't really like it , and then get inspiration for Kane. Thinking of that .... I wonder what other ideas McMahon originally had for Kane.....

Also , I am thinking of making a master list of all Doomsday videos on here.... stay tuned.

For the past 6 months ish, I've been attempting to watch all of the Glenn Jacobs character matches on big TV, so IY, Diesel II, and Kane. I've seen all of IY, and Diesel II, but I am in early 2002 for the Kane matches.

When I make posts sometimes it's when I watch the matches, as I am going through them chronologically. There is just so many details that you would miss if you don't go through it chronologically. Sometimes there is a little tidbit here and there, a little 10 second BTS shot of Kane that is so cute, and I don't want to miss it. Ever since I started in WWE stuff back in 2019, I always wanted to watch most/all of Kane's matches that I could. Now I am living out my dreams since I have a Peacock subscription now lmao.

In case you did not know, the Undertaker made a song in the early 1990s for the WWF album that was released, and it is one of my most favorite things ever. It is called Man in Black, and it is so camp. Hidden gem if you didn't know... now go and listen :)))))

There is this one promo pic that was taken the night of when Kane unmasked and It gets me every time. I found it once, then couldn't find it after, until recently....

I don't know what it is about this pic that gets me. His smug look? The fact he still had his eyebrows and we could see what facial hair he had before he unmasked, and he has no makeup smudged like in the show. The way his hands are positioned?

I know people have thoughts about the "hairline from hell" but this pic is just perfect to me 😚

Anyways, my sibling and I call his haircut the coin toss, bc it's 50% bald and 50% hair.

For some reason, I have been having really weird Kane/Glenn Jacobs/Isaac Yankem conglomeration dreams for the past 2-3 months. I don't get them every night, but I do most nights and remember a good portion.

I know I post a lot ( I do a lot of posts at once when I think about ideas), but I really don't spend ALL DAY looking at Kane etc videos. I have a life I swear and some days I might spend only like 20 minutes looking at content... DREAMS STILL PERSIST.

Anyways, after it started happening more than twice, I started writing down my dreams in the morning and I have more than 20 entries that I could get my thoughts together to write down something about the dreams. Sometimes the dreams are so insignificant that its just a flash or image of him, so I don't write that down.

Anyways... I do not remember writing down the content of the dreams so when I periodically check my notes app I am graced with many an entry such as :

Isaac Yankem dream involving a documentary where it said he wasn't created by WWE.

glenn jacobs would appear at the show here but we couldn't figure out why he did it as IY

These made me laugh so bad retyping these out from my notes.
