a lot of the time, sometimes it’s the customers that make the job harder. while not a barista, sua has had her fair share of having to deal with annoying people apart of her job. “customer service is the worst area to work, i think.” sua says mildly. or she guesses it’s not for everyone. but even the best customer service job has to get grating at times, to even a saint.
“probably.” sua shrugs. she slept most of the time in class, and the other half was doodling in her notebook or staring at the window at the ocean. “it just…sounds weird to me. it has to exist if that customer wanted it though.” she learns something new everyday, even if it’s something she wasn’t really wanting to know, anyway.
“kinda. drawing– more like digital media.” she clarifies, shifting in her seat. at the mention of songwriting, she perks up a bit, curious. she gives a little hum, tapping the side of her cup with her palm. “you never know. you could catch the right eye of someone and blow them away.” lyric writing does seem hard, though. the few times that sua even attempted scribbling something down, she was quick to crumble it up and throw it away.
“it is luck, but not always. luck and…” sua trails off, thinking. “patience, probably. it doesn’t happen overnight, but if you like it enough– well.” she shrugs. “that should be a good thing, right?”
bexsua
“that’s weird,” sua mumbles, just picturing it. it sounds like a waste of time– why be a bother to other people that are forced deal with it? can’t they just order a normal drink and move on with their life? they’d probably like it a lot better. or maybe they are just some person with utterly weird tastes. if that’s the case, they’re better off just making it at home. “maybe it’s a social experiment. seeing how people react to weird shit or something.”  sua’s brow furrow. “giraffe’s milk?” she asks, a little off put. “do…do they have milk?” she’ll have to check that. that’s a thought sua didn’t think she’d ever think about, that’s for sure.  sua hums, glancing down at her drink. “maybe. could be just a rough day, but…” one shoulder shrugs, and she takes another sip of her drink, nose scrunching up, but pushing past it.  seira brings up futures, which gets sua thinking a bit. “not sure,” she mutters, shifting as her eyes drop to the table. “probably something with art, hopefully. i’ve got a few applications i can send but…” the chances of her getting in feel pretty slim; or the tuition is going to be something crazy expensive. “i’ll cross that road when i get there.” her eyes flicker back up to the other girl. “is there anything you’ve been itching to try?”
“i always thought being a barista would be an easy job, but it’s far more difficult than i had imagined… learning how to make coffee and tea and such was easy enough, but then there’s the costumers they’ll get angry if we don’t have what they have, or they order super complicated drinks that are almost impossible to not mess up, or they come and ask stupid questions like sheep milk” she lets a laugh escape her lips. “it’s definitely not my dream job, but it’s okay for the time being” she shrugs.
“aren’t all mammals capable of producing milk?” seira tilts her head, she was never the best in school, she missed a lot of school because of being an idol, and she never pursued more school when her high school days ended. seira wonders if she should attempt university, if that’s the path she should go down now, but what would she study?
“art, as in paintings?” seira takes another sip of her tea, though it isn’t very good, she is thirsty. “i was thinking of giving songwriting an attempt but… it’s a difficult path, lots of people who write songs, not a lot who become successful”. she shrugs “i feel like i used all of my luck when i became an idol, i don’t think i have any left for becoming a songwriter so… it would be difficult”.

frogger. feat. @behyejin
sua kicks one foot out on the bench, a spoon digging into her ice cream as she chances a glance around the park. the weather’s nice– it’s getting hotter out, though. it feels nice to not be shivering for once, and besides– the trees give a nice layer of shade.
attention returning back to her ice cream, sua sticks her spoon into it, then chances a glance over at hyejin. it’s been a while since she’s last had time to see the other girl. for a moment, it had felt awkward, but hyejin’s sweet. it’s hard not to kinda melt in her vicinity; and she’s pretty. sua won’t deny she’s weak for a pretty girl.
“wanna bite of mine?” she asks, lifting her ice cream towards the other girl. as she does so, something moves out of her peripheral. pausing, she turns her head to see it– but it’s gone. probably just hair, or something. weird. her eyes flicker back to hyejin, dismissing it for the moment. “i got cookie dough in mine.”

“i’d be nothing without my mods, honestly.” sua agrees, giving a little sigh. the amount of times she’s been saved by not having to manually time out or ban someone– or worse, when she just lets her mouth run when she sees it’s still sitting in chat or the person’s still yapping away. sua’s been doing this a while, but she still struggles with just ignoring certain things and letting things go. sometimes people are so stupid in chat. she can’t help it. she has to say something.
“long time viewers know what’s coming, what to expect.” she lists off. and he’s right– usually, it’s the newcomers that tend to get mouthy or start going off for xyz. they’re also more likely to backseat, which is definitely something sua doesn’t hesitate to ban if it’s a repeat offender. “i’ll just focus on art this week. if there aren’t any weirdos in chat maybe, i’ll squeeze in a game at the end of the week.” she’s mostly just saying it outloud for herself. “that sounds good. maybe i won’t even facecam either.” it’s an experiment she’ll have to make. see what changes in her streaming schedule and type she’ll have to make. maybe nothing will change at all– maybe it’s just the culture of streaming in general.
sua hums, leaning back a bit. her gaze drops down to her tablet, then back up to him. “it’s going okay,” to be honest, she’s messed up a little, too lost in her venting. it’s nothing she can’t fix and clean up, though. “wanna see?”
“backseating is a no-no in my streams unless i ask,” sua mumbles. she learned that the hard way starting out. heechul is right– some viewers love to speak nonsense in the chat and backseat just because they can. it still happens, but it’s also an easy time out or a ban for repeat offenders. “it’s very annoying. like, i get that they’re excited and want to talk about it or it’s their favorite thing or whatever, but like–ugh.” she sighs, irritation radiating off of her.
sua is sure she’s go insane without her mods. or most of her streams would just be reacting to chat and banning anyone who pissed her off; which…might be fun, maybe. but she doesn’t want to do that all the time. she wants to talk about things she likes and have fun with her viewers without the need to have to defend every decision she makes or be criticized for everything. she’s playing games or drawing half the time.
“they really like to see what they can get away with.” her stylus slides across her tablet with ease, practiced and patient despite the ire in her tone. “if it didn’t annoy me as much, i’d almost be impressed but…” one shoulder lifts in a shrug. it’s possible she just isn’t patient enough, or her skin isn’t as thick as she thought. “maybe i should just stick with art streams for a week, or something. try and weed out the weirdos.” she doesn’t think it’s a catch all end all, but it might get some of them out of there.
sua glances up from her own work, to heechul’s– squinting as if she could see it from here. “how’s that going?” she asks, curious.

sua frowns, gives a little huff, but says nothing in response to being too critical. she knows that, unfortunately. “i am having fun,” she says– even if her expression seems like she isn’t. bada isn’t wrong– sua is overly critical. especially now, when she’s been applying for art schools and getting nothing in return. it’s gotta be her, then? she’s the issue?
it’s frustrating. heugh.
sua closes her eyes, counts to three and then exhales. her shoulders droop, then straighten back up after. sua hums at bada’s advice, eyes going to the tube of paint she hands over. taking it from her, sua gives a little smile at the other before doing as instructed.
“thanks,” she says, after she’s lightened up the area, and she’s moved onto something else. it does look better– eyecatching, but not in a way that makes her second-guess. blended it better, now as more of an accent piece than an eyesore. “you’re right. i’m just overthinking it.”
sua’s tongue clicks. “i just wish there was an undo button in real life. that’d be cool, no?”
bada's mouth forms a frown as she realizes her partner isn't as impressed with her own painting as she is. "hey," she nudges sua with her elbow, soft smile forming once again. "has anyone told you that you're too critical of yourself? this is supposed to be fun, remember?" she tilts her head, trying to remind the other that this activity wasn't the end all be all of things.
a thought crosses her mind to tell sua to relax, but bada knows that's harder than it's made out to be. instead, she keeps her mouth shut, eyes trailing over the painting as the other points out its so-called flaws.
bada's eyes gravitate towards the shade of yellow and nods, seeing the problem. "maybe it's a bit too dark for what you're trying to achieve," she says, grabbing a tube of white paint and handing it over. "mix a little bit of the white in to the yellow paint, then go over it again. we can see how it looks once you're done, but either way your painting is great, sua," she reassures the other once again, eyes shining brightly up at the other girl.

reunited. feat. @eunaebe
sua stares, frowning in thought mindlessly at the wall as she waits for her drinks. she’s got so much sitting in her email, open in tabs back at home. so many applications and little to no motivation to do it; she’s already gotten one denial letter– now she’s hesitant to send the next one. so much to do, so much to think about but sua wants nothing to do with it. not right now. order up! sua’s mouth curves into a small smile on instinct, taking the drinks with thanks before going back to her table with eunae. setting down the other’s first, she slides into her own seat and tugs her beverage closer to her. “you’re a busy person,” she notes off-handedly. sua doesn’t really care either way, busy with her own things. but now that sua has had a plethora of free time lately, she finds that a lot of her friends have been swamped. schedules are hard to find overlapping free time. “thanks for penciling me in,” she jokes, a crooked grin tugging at her features. “i come bearing news. well– kinda,” she tacks on. “dunno. think you might be proud of me though.”

in response to chance token here.
sua loves free things. when the flier from the spa practically drops in her lap-- who is she to deny it? every girl loves a pampering session, and sua is no better. and what? all they ask is a review and to spread the word? easy! sua can do that.
everything is pretty easy, all the way up until the day of her appointment. everyone she's talked to has been nice and pleasant, which only adds more positivity to the experience. even day of, at the place itself-- sua doesn't feel awkward walking in, nor does she have a bad experience with anyone working there.
easy, breeze, beautiful. which basically feels like the tagline for this moment.
overall, it's a wonderful experience. sua hasn't been to a spa in quite a long time, so this feels like a nice reprieve; it's also been nice to get out and do something a little different. something to up her spirits a little bit. it's something that sua tacks on in her head to get a little more into. or at least make a late new years resolution to follow through with a skin care routine.
( review: wonderful service! incredible staff, very cozy and comfortable. had a lovely time and will definitely consider returning in the future! review sent! ) - legendofsua

congratulations!
the flier might look a little suspicious at first, clearly not very professionally designed with obviously cheap clipart, yet printed on rather nice pale blue paper. it was shoved under your doorknob, impossible to miss when you came home. you might usually just throw these sorts of ads away, but this one caught your eye for some reason.
healing touch massage & day spa has just opened up in your neighborhood. we’ve randomly selected some of our new neighbors for a FREE facial and hour-long relaxing massage.
come experience the benefit of pampering yourself. you’ll feel better, brighter, and more beautiful after working with our experienced massage and skincare professionals. after a brief consultation about your skin type, stress, and specific problem areas, the spa package is tailored to your unique needs.
there has to be some sort of catch, right? but if you look up the business, you’ll find that they’re genuine, a legitimate brand new spa trying to get their name out among the hundreds of other competing businesses in seoul.
the fine print on the flier clarifies that in order to receive the free massage and facial, you’re required to become a sort of unofficial brand ambassador for the business. they ask that you check in on social media and leave a review of the experience as well as personally recommend the place to your fellow neighbors, family, and friends. they must be confident in their therapists’ skills to give away such a great package for free!
you call to make an appointment and the receptionist on the phone speaks in a calm, soothing voice. she seems excited to get you in to experience healing touch massage & day spa’s amenities, and an appointment is scheduled within a week. on the day of the appointment itself, you’re pleased to see that the spa is clean, albeit on the simpler side, with friendly staff who look like they are passionate for their work. always a good sign!

elegant entrance. feat. @kouxbe
sua yawns, hand slapping over her mouth as she speed walks down the sidewalk. checking her phone for the time, she grimaces, increasing her speed a bit. she’s a little late, her shift having to run over a little longer because of last minute schedule changes. she sends a quick message to kou with the words almost there sry before she shoves her phone in her pocket and continues forward.
once she arrives, sua’s eyes are darting over the restaurant for kou– perking up when she takes sight of him. beelining right for him, sua’s already slipping her bag off her shoulder so it can hang in the crook of her elbow instead. once close enough, she drops her hands on his shoulders suddenly, a cheeky little boo! leaving her with a laugh as she crashes down into the seat across for him. “hi, sorry.” sua’s smile is more of a smirk, getting herself comfortable in the seat. “work ran over late. did you order without me?” her eyes do a quick sweep over the table, then back to kou. there’s not a plethora of food, so maybe she isn’t as late as she thought. or they haven’t come yet and she’s about to be in for a rude awakening.

when haein invites her out, sua doesn't hesitate to jump at the chance. she feels like she's been working more lately, with the sudden influx of her friends being busy. days she'd spend tuning her guitar for band practice is spent sitting on her couch wasting away. she's so bored lately.
"sure thing," she mumbles, leaning her head against haein's when she tucks it against her shoulder. "i wasn't doing anything." i haven't been doing anything, she doesn't say. art school applications have drained her motivation, and everytime she plays a game her eyes glaze over. mind too preoccupied with other things.
sua blinks at the question. "i've been to arcades before, but..." she trails off, glancing around. she works across the street from one, and that one is a bit more...updated, she guesses. smaller too, with only the most popular choices rotating in and out. "not like this."
she can't help the snort that leaves her at the mention of whack-a-mole. that sounds fun. "i like throwing the baseballs at the clowns." she remembers, cracking a smile. "though if you need to let out some steam, i'd be happy to watch you knock the lights out of a mole or two."
˙ ˖ ✧ — @bexsua
"thanks for joining me. i really needed this day off."
with that, haein let out a sigh before slightly leaning her head onto the other's shoulder. ever since she had become a trainee, haein found herself lost in her own thoughts. while she was one step toward her goal, she also found herself feeling sort of stuck. this time around felt a lot different from her last time as a trainee.
maybe it was the mere fact that she was indeed training at a different company, or maybe it was because, this time around, it was pretty apparent that she wasn't the most skilled trainee, but something felt a little suffocating. so when she had asked sua to join her on this sunday outing, she couldn't help but feel relieved when sua had said yes.
"have you ever been to an arcade like this before? there's so much to do, and it's really good for relieving your stress. i don't know how many times i've played wack-a-mole!" haein had suggested the arcade first, and while she did think sua would have fun at the place, it was also because she knew she'd be able to let loose and have fun herself.

it would be nice to live a life all play no work– as unrealistic as it is. she’d never be bored, that’s for sure. sua lets out an interested ooh. “really?” her brows raise. it might not be something she’s super interested in– but…it might be cool to peek at. get a glimpse of what it’s like. expand her experiences a little. “i mean, if you’re offering…” her mouth slides into a small smirk. “i won’t say no.”
pretty privilege– it is real. sua can attest to that; it’s how she’s acquired her own drinks tonight, most of them at least.
when jae agrees to dance, sua grins around her straw. “cool~” she sings, proceeding to knock back the rest of her drink. it goes easily, the burn familiar, and she sets the cup down on the counter with a little ah~ “let’s get going then!” she urges, reaching out to tug at jae’s arm gently.
if he hadn't enjoyed his job or his major in university, he was sure he would have changed a lot about his life by now. he liked makeup as well as doing hair so he felt like he wasn't really working when he was hired for a job. plus he got to meet interesting people and even ones that were pretty famous. "of course! if you wanted, you could easily come to one of the shoots sometime to see it all." he smiles, knowing whoever hired him wouldn't mind. "wouldn't that be a dream? i'd love doing that all the time." sure he can't due to bills and having to feed himself. it was nice to dream though.
"you aren't wrong. feel my face lets me get away with a lot," he giggles, not ashamed at all that he used something for his advantage. "i could and i'm not writing it off completely." he's dealt with a few different bartenders due to his love of clubs and he's glad he hasn't dealt with one that kept trying to get a bigger tip out of him.
he sips his own drink before glancing at the dance floor again. "i wouldn't mind." it was better than staying at the bar plus he was always up for a bit of dancing. he can't help but smile more at sua. "let's go then. both of us need to get moving."
