The latest chapter was so good! I have no words asdfghjkl the letters, Shadow’s strong reactions, Amy’s new family. All of it was just amazing🥲🫶

GAH, that's so kind. When I tell you that this chapter and I were beefing... Man, I fought hard for this one. Pulled it together in the minutes I had between meetings, and really had to do some puzzling out to get all the moments to work. So it makes me so thankful that you left this message and that people have loved this one! There's a lot of work I'm proud of in this chapter - Shadow and his dramatic dialogue, Amy's letter, I even LOVE the little Knux and Rouge banter, Rouge's bits of wisdom, and the Tails and Amy moments. I don't know why, but when I write Tails and Amy it just devolves into tenderness. They are such a sweet pair. Someone draw me that cheek kiss, it's just so cute!!!

For real though, thank you. To know that the hard chapters are still beloved makes the work feel so rewarding. The support is insanely touching and so, so special!!!

This story still has me in a chokehold and I have come to the conclusion that it is the best fictional love story I've ever consumed in any form of media so there

Amy is an absolute QUEEN in it btw (I mean she's a queen in canon too but I especially love her in WWS). The song "Speechless" from the live action Aladdin fits her really well in this context, and that was the inspiration to actually make this. 🌹✨

(EDIT: seems like her hammer looks more like an axe so I'm going to edit the drawing a tad till it looks more like a hammer and then edit this again with the improved drawing, will leave another edited note when that's done 😂

In WWS, does Amy's hammer look the same as it does in the games? Or it it more, well, medieval looking? Like made of stone and wood or something?

Hmmm, I think it’s still made of steel or metal mostly, but it definitely is also more medieval looking! Perhaps the colors are deeper, more golden and wine red. And maybe the designs are also more intricate - some kind of filigree or emblem of the Rose Kingdom in ornamental places like on the grip or hammer head? Generally, when it comes to design I like to keep it open - artists have free rein over how they’d like to interpret things. I love to see the creativity of each reader and what they imagine in their head! Thank you for the question💙

Holy shit. I was doing a little AO3 wrapped for fun, and I realized that in the Sonic the Hedgehog - All Media tab, What Was Stolen is the 15th highest fic based on number of hits for any rating of fic, and the 5th highest fic for teen rated fics. That’s INSANE. I am delighted and shocked to realize just how many words I have written and published this year, and just how many people even tried to read them. If you are even one of those hits, thanks for making it a wonderful year for thievery, flirting, heartache, yearning, and knight training. I love writing my dramatic ass story, and I can’t wait to bring it to its end in the new year.

So good and sweet!!

Being a Sonamy trashcan and seeing all the incredible art, fanfiction witting and general community is always inspiring.

Being someone that could not really contribute as I wasn't an artist or a writer made me feel I HAD to change that.

So, I picked up some tools to try my hand at art. 1 Week in I am loving falling into the zone getting those lines and colors right. I am having a blast!

I am VERY fortunate to have the amazing @misstangshan95 on my side giving me tips and advice.

No previews from me (you can see some promotional stuff and project updates over @PS_ThreadsofFate on Twitter!) BUT I can say that our first animatic has just come together, and it’s truly magical what this community of Sonic and Sonamy lovers have put together in only months. We truly have the Avengers of Sonamy artists gathered for this, and the final product is going to be such a joyous, warm thing. I am astounded by the talent and generosity of the team we have put together for this project, and oh man are we all in for a treat when it’s done!!!

Friend of the fic @kazziemuse commissioned the incredibly talented @nintendoni-art to make this for me and the fic while I was (and am) going through a really hard time, which is unfathomably kind of both of them, and has lifted my spirits so immensely. neither “that’s not canon” nor “fuck canon we made this all up” but a secret third thing (canon shouldn’t be taken as gospel but is useful as a reference point for building upon and recontextualizing characters and details. if you worship the source material as unchangeable then fandom in general probably isn’t for you. if you have complete disdain for the source material you would probably enjoy yourself more in a different fandom)

I’m going to do #sonictober this year and this is my entry for 10/2, “RAIN.” @e-vay and @beeextraordinary123 enjoying some ramen and chatting about WWS while waiting for the rain to pass.

When I was a teenager I gave up on art (and writing) because a close friend told me I had no talent. I’ve been trying to get back into it and maybe work out my own style. Sonictober’s exercise in pursuit of that, and it’s one I owe so, SO much thanks to @ratrrriot for. They’ve been so patient and helpful in looking over my work and trying to help me improve, and the gift of their time and friendship means something to me that can’t be contained within measurement.
