The Chromatic Legacy Challenge: 3 Year Anniversary Edition

Sul Sul! 🌺🍋🍒 ☔ 💝🫐🍫🍇🏁🍀🌹🎮🍊💎🌲

I’ve been revisiting this challenge every year since it’s creation (2020), and I’m back again with a slightly modified version of CLC. While playing some old challenges like Not So Berry, I realized that I have some ideas for a challenge myself. That’s how I came to create The Chromatic Legacy Challenge, and I’m excited to share it with everyone! This is a VERY colorful challenge that’s updated to March of 2023. This challenge is designed to get the very best out of the Sims 4, and I hope you like it! There are 15 generations with certain unique requirements to complete their generation! It’s always interesting to see how long it takes you to complete all the generations. Tag me at or @maximum.sims to share your beautiful creations with me! ALL GENERATIONS: RULES

-Like other colorful challenges, it is suggested that the hair, makeup, clothes, and house of your heirs ARE the color of the generation (which is listed in the rules of each generation).

Money cheats are not allowed! Promotion or skill cheats are also not allowed. The only kinds of cheats that are allowed are cheats that influence a babies gender/number and (if you wish) or need cheats.

-Normal lifespan is recommended

-At the end of the day, do what you want. If you don’t like a requirement, don’t have a pack, you don’t have to do it. This is designed for you to have fun, so do what you want! <3

Without further to do…

1 ~ Bubblegum🌺

You grew up in a humble home with your parents, searching your couch cushions for money. After your parents die, you have nowhere left to go but a small lot next to your old family home. Your parent’s old home where you learned to train and take care of animals was bulldozed in a unexpected event, and now all you can hope is that you can build a veterinary clinic on top of the foundation of the remains of your childhood home.

- Vegetarian, gloomy and the dog or cat lover trait

- Must complete the friend of the animals and soulmate aspirations

- Starts life in an empty lot without any more than 20k simoleons.

-Adopt at least one stray cat and one stray dog

- Max out the pet training, herbalism, and veterinary skills

- Run your own veterinary clinic. Build your house inside the clinic. Get it to 4 or 5 stars

- marry a sim who has the opposite animal lover trait (if your a cat lover, marry a dog lover and visa versa.

2 ~ Lemonade 🍋

You grew up with a loving family, and never had any reason to doubt yourself. You respect your family’s vet business but strive for something else. You’ve always been good at using technology and getting along with others, and you are so excited for your future and can’t wait to become a parent. Your parents lend you some money- and off you go to start a new life in the real world. But things didn’t exactly go as planned. Your home is smaller than it looked on the housing website, and your hopes are skyrocketing down. When you’re about ready to give up, you get an opportunity to be a secret agent for the type of company you only heard about in movies.

-self assured, family orientated, squeamish traits

-must complete the computer whiz and super parent aspirations. Cheat the tech guru part of the Computer Whiz aspiration, as this sim is not in the tech guru career.

-reach level 10 of the secret agent career (diamond agent branch)

- max out the programming and parenting skills

-Start as a YA in a one bedroom tiny home or one bedroom apartment. You may only move/expand when you become an adult

3 ~ Cherry🍒

You can’t remember a time in your life without someone by your side. Ever since you were a child, you knew that forever you and your best friend would stick together for your whole lifetime. But you are an aspiring actor, and a wonderful comedian - and your best friend… is not. You set off to Del Sol Valley the moment you turn 21 to pursue an acting career, leaving your friends and family behind. As you navigate celebrity life, you act, you flirt… but no relationships stick. That is, until reuniting with your childhood best friend…

-goofball, outgoing, romantic

-must complete the master actor and joke star aspirations. Cheat the entertainer part of the Joke Star aspiration, as this sim is not in the entertainer career.

-Be best friends with someone during childhood and teenhood. Grow apart during your young adulthood, and marry them in your adulthood

-Move to Del Sol Valley when you age up into a young adult

-Flirt with many sims, but do not commit to an official partner until you get with your childhood friend.

-Max out the comedy skill

-Reach level 10 of the acting career and max the skill

-Become a world famous celebrity and place your celebrity tile down

4 ~ Periwinkle☔

You have always been proud of your parent, a successful actor who taught you to be the best you that you can be. You had always wanted to follow in their footsteps, but after seeing them in a musical, you couldn’t stray your thoughts away from the idea of being a big music star. Since childhood, you’ve been playing all the instruments and making music. You struggle with love, and you just want to meet your special someone. Playing music for money outside of your home, you start your path to becoming a famous musician.

-Music Lover, Snob, Dance Machine

-Complete the Musical Genius and admired Icon aspirations

-Play music in the city during your young adulthood

-Max the dance skill + three of the following skills: singing, guitar, violin, piano, or DJ mixing, pipe organ

-Reach level 10 of the Social Media career

-Make at least two Trendi looks a week

-Get signed by a record label, win an award for your music, or place down a celebrity tile next to your parent’s.

- Be in five or more relationships throughout your life, at least 4 ending on bad terms.

5 ~ Rosegold🏵️

Unlike the rest of your family, who all aspire to be in the spotlight, you are unsure of what you want to do with your life. Being a barista and taking care of your chickens is the only thing you can think to do to support yourself. You always had a knack for the creative arts and seem to get along really well with llamas and bunnies, but never knew how to put that into a job. Finally, after long days of research, you decide to open your own retail store to sell your works- with a farm to support you at home.

-Animal Enthusiast, creative and cheerful

-Max out either the knitting or handiness skill (or both!) and the cross-stitching skill

-Max out the barista career, mixology skill, and finish the Master Mixologist Aspiration

- Run a retail business to sell woodworking or knitted clothing and own a farm.

-Have a chicken coop in your parent’s backyard as a child

-Do at least one task for Henford on Bagely residents a week

- After completing the barista career quit your job to be a full time retail business owner and farmer

-Have exactly three children, and they must be triplets you may cheat this

6 ~ Blueberry 🫐

You’ve never been afraid of anything. The world looked different in your eyes, and you always saw everything as an opportunity. While the other triplets play games outside on the farm, you spent your childhood days afterschool watching the news. That’s when you realized how broken and messed up the world was, and you soon realize that you want to help. Instead of becoming a detective or police officer, you decide to become a lawyer to defend the innocent, and you write books on your achievements. But every hero has their flaws, and yours is you’re too busy helping the world to watch your children grow.

-Ambitious, Perfectionist, Good

-Complete the Friend of the World aspiration and the Bestselling Author Aspiration

-Watch the news after school as a kid

-Max out the research and debate and writing skills

-Take in a stray cat or dog

7 ~ Bronze 🍫

You love plants. Your very blue parent is always busy with helping other people that they never spent much time helping you. As a result, you spent the entirety of your childhood in your room, growing plants, doing homework and making things. When you become a young adult, you move to a new place where you are all on your own. You love gardening, but your passion for robotics gets you into the engineer career.

-Be a high school and elementary school A student

-Move into a world away from your family when aging up into a YA

-Have a fully functional garden

-Max out the robotics, flower arranging and gardening skills

-Have your child complete all infant milestones and finish a child aspiration

-Have just one kid and be best friends with them

-Obtain the super green thumb trait and early bird trait from the rewards store

-Join the Engineer career and reach level 10

-Optional: Unlock the outdoorsy lifestyle

8 ~ Violet 🍇

Your parent clinged to you since you were a child. You know that they just want to make you feel loved, but you can’t help but feel smothered a bit by their love. You adore them, too, but you do wish you had a bit more independence. You spend lots of your time playing soccer with your parents (even though it isn’t their strong suit) and dreaming of one day climbing Mount Komorebi with all of your friends by your side. Luckily, your parents are receptive to your wishes for independence and want to help you in any way you can, sending you out with hopes and lots of love for a safe journey up the mountain.

-Complete the extreme sports enthusiast and bodybuilder aspiration

-Max out the fitness and rock climbing skills. Max out either the snowboarding or skiing in addition

Rock Climbing? Check. Karaoke? Check. Swimming? Check. Your parents prepared you for everything by reading you stories every night of what you can be. Everything sounds so interesting, from meeting mermaids to spying on your noisy apartment neighbors. When you were a kid, you couldn’t wait to grow up! You can’t wait to try and cook all sorts of foods and drinks, and throw all sorts of crazy parties. Now that you’re an adult, there is so much to see and do… and you’re going to do it all!

-Work in the salary person career in order to fund your travels

-Every house you live in must be a tiny home (any tier)

10 ~ Mint 🌿

While your parents were out partying and adventuring, you read every single book in your bookcase. You have fantasized about beaches with clear and blue waters- but Sulani isn’t exactly like the stories. There’s a lot of garbage in the water, and the water is murky green. You make the decision to start an organization to help Sulani flourish once again. That’s why you absolutely hate litterbugs- well, until you meet a special litterbug… which makes you more determined than ever to convince this person to listen to your passion. It’s a tough job, especially for someone who can’t even order a drink at a restaurant, but you find yourself enchanted with them- almost as much as the ocean you love.

11 ~ Velvet 🌹

You grew up with one central rule in your home; Stay clean, stay green, and stay safe. Of course, You decided to be magenta instead of green, but you still abide by the rules. While helping your family rescue turtles and remove trash from the beautiful blue waters, you were inspired to draw them all. Every second of your life you were thinking about how beautiful everything you saw would look if you had created it by hand. What a beautiful world you live in, and you just must capture its beauty. You work hard to learn your craft, working as a painter for your livelihood. But once you get to the top of the career, you realize that life working on art every day all day was causing you to lose the passion for art that you always had as a child. So… You quit. Your new life is ahead of you, and you want to spend it with your family, and doing the occasional side gig.

Your family tells you that you’re the next person in a long line of successful people, but you don’t really understand. You want to be a gamer… or maybe a simtuber? Or maybe you should have settled for making grilled cheese in your parents’ basement. You can’t see yourself being an important name on simtube, especially with all of the enemies you’ve made. Your twin wants to help you, and soon you find yourself behind the camera, starting to record your first ever video.

-Upload at least two videos a week using the video studio

You were born into fame, and you love the attention. You’ve always loved pranking your parents and friends at school, and you also love photography. You like taking pictures of your world, inspired by your grandparent’s artistic talent. You don’t spend very much time with your parents, but you don’t really mind, because you enjoy spending time with your friends. You’re a photographer and mischievous partier, but you try to keep your persona clean as you head into your job as a doctor after graduating from college. But during college… you go wild. Parties, keg stands, woohoo galore.

Your family was always very important to you, so when your parents slipped up one day and told you, in fact, that you do have a grandparent who’ve you never met. But whenever you ask about them, your family refuses to answer. As a teenager, you do some digging, and you find the address of your grandparents, and you end up at their doorstep with questions. You look to them for guidance, leaving your parents behind you. But things don’t go as planned, and soon you have to be a young parent, too. You fall in love with your child at first glance and you want the best for them, but you still don’t know what life you want, so you find a job as a food critic thanks to your grandparent. But your struggles aren’t over, because when your grandparent dies, you get fired from your job, and you are left without a job. So, without anyone else to go to, you resort to taking up an offer to put your thieving skills to work as a criminal…

While you adore your parent, you can’t help but want to steer clear of their criminal lifestyle. Your family easily provides you with science sets and miniature explosives that they directly told you NOT to blow up your siblings with, and you’re ready to go to space and meet some aliens. You also love to bake, because you love to eat (a little too much). Once you become a teenager, your parent ran into the cops and had to leave your home to go live somewhere else. That somewhere else… was Evergreen Harbor. It was quite not-green (unlike yourself) and you couldn’t help but want to help people fix up their beloved, once flourishing town. And as much as you love Sixam, you love your own planet, too. So you get to work.
