As soon as I can hopefully!! I had second thoughts about the 4th chapter as I was writing it - it was going to be a pool party + plot chapter because I'm a sucker for the pool party fics BUT I had a thought about Steve's pool and the history behind it. I want to kind of add it into chapter 4 so I'm re-working it a bit. There's still going to be a pool party, though likely not at Steve's pool

I like the idea that post-every Upside Down encounter, the gang goes through a period of time where they have to consider whether or not their outfit is battle-proof. Nancy stops wearing heeled shoes, Steve always wears sturdy jeans, Dustin keeps his pack with him at all times, Eddie carries a knife hidden in one of his pockets and goes light on the accessories, Max always has her hair up and out of her face. It’s a super small detail, maybe not even something they notice about themselves or each other, but it’s a constant subconscious thought for them: today might be the day, gotta be ready.

Okay if Eddie doesn’t come back (and he will but ANYWAYS) I want it to be canon that Steve and Robin start a gay bar in hawkins called the Hellfire Nightclub in Eddie’s honor and they take care of all the lost and lonely baby gays in hawkins.
