when SOPHIE passed, i started this for a friend, and finally finished it today. it’s her existing logo but with candy striping and a bit of shading, and the whole thing is in the trans flag colors. this really tested my shaky painting skills but i’m pleased with the outcome. here’s some process shots, from concept all the way to the final step.

everything past the flat white was done with no guide or stencil. acrylic fabric paints on denim. i might make more of these in single flat colors but this particular paint job is one and done.

i made this little Katt figurine as a request from my GF. it’s 100% sculpey except i used a real chain for the necklace. it’s not perfect but i find the little DIY flaws to overall be really charming! it’s a bit bigger than an amiibo, and will get a little taller even once i add a base. really happy with how she turned out.

i reshaped an amyl and the sniffers logo patch as a request for an oddly shaped spot on a denim jacket. freehand(no stencil/screen) with fabric markers on red denim. not perfect but i think i find it quite charmingly DIY-looking. (i also made the WAAX patch below it, a fellow group of rowdy aussie rockers!)

here’s some shots of freshly finished&in-progress patches, a round of UK artists this time. sewn on patches, references used for the logos i recreated. Jungle and Little Simz were(mostly) stencils, while Kano, Stormzy are freehanded.

the stormzy/friends crossosver is my original idea/design, all others are recreations in this round. i use a mix of acrylic leather paints, fabric paints, screen printing ink, and fabric markers for all of my patches. all on denim except stormzy is on canvas.

The Internet patch on my GF’s jacket, one more I made to gift a friend, the original sketch used to make the stencil, and the paint-stained stencil used to make the patch. It’s gunmetal on off-white canvas for hers and white on black for my pal’s.

i think it was in adventure time that i saw this terrifying smoke with teeth monster. it affected me so deeply i had to draw its horrifying visage.

i wrote a guide to winter bike commuting and made a zine so the huge infodump was more digestible. 

all done by hand wth a micron pen, some highlighter/prismacolor markers, and a glue stick!
