I know mumbo sleepwa during the day and Grian at night.

Hi! Just to let you know, I have moved blogs to @atherix but I wanna answer this anyway <3

And you are absolutely right, I slow burned the slow burn jjkfdjksjk

So! Their sleeping schedules! Mumbo of course sleeps during the day, generally from sunrise to sunset or approximately 8 AM until 6 or 7 PM at the earliest. Sometimes he'll stay up later or wake up earlier, since his manor is completely blocked from the light, but Vampires naturally tend to sleep during the sunlight hours <3 (Ye, Vampires are naturally nocturnal. Vampires living in the Human world can struggle with this at the start of their Active periods)

Grian will generally stay up until about 3 AM and then sleep until about 11 AM, give or take on either side. Of course, now that he no longer works at the Boatem Antiques shop, literally the only thing keeping him from fully transitioning to a nocturnal schedule/Mumbo's sleep schedule (or as close as a non-Vampire can get while still being healthy with sleep) is Scar and Tubbo, so he can visit them during the day (especially Scar).

Scar, like he mentions in fic, sleeps roughly every five days or when he's magically exhausted or severely wounded, as magic will regenerate faster when the person is unconscious (which... will be explained... soon) and healing is easier when you're, well, asleep- especially if your magic is lending itself to your healing. He generally sleeps at night, like Tubbo, so that he can run his shop and be awake when Tubbo's awake; when he sleeps he usually sleeps at 11 PM/midnight until 6 AM, so he can get up and make breakfast for Tubbo and open the shop at 7. Later on, after Tubbo moves to L'Manberg, his schedule might start shifting as well :)

Soo... Mumbo's not a heavy sleeper, but he didn't notice Grian waking up in Aqua Town while they were both sleeping in Scar's bed??? 👀 Also Mumbo deciding to renovate the sunroom for Scar's plants I'm 😭😭😭. He loves them both so much, calling them both "love" hahoiwe I am so fond of them,.,. Also I am so totally normal about the Midnight Series you will not believe it. It is not like I regularly check my phone and email for updates absolutely not (ok love you bye!! 👋)

hullo, greenhouse anon again, i’ve reread midnight dreams as a whole and wish to say more! :3

i don’t think i’ve properly described how the three of them sharing a bed has affected me. they’re domesticated, laying in each other’s space when they’re the most vulnerable yet feel the safest. they’re finally all together and don’t have to worry about one another because they’re finally in one bed.

it’s such a large dose of serotonin in a little scene that i doubt we’ll experience often (given scar’s sleeping schedule), but the moment has finally arrived. unfortunate that it had to come from grian’s expense but i can’t deny how much more it adds when mumbo and scar aren’t far or hesitant to stay <3

i never considered how difficult it would’ve first been for mumbo to share a bed with someone again and to think at how it brings him protective joy that scar lays alongside grian—

they all aid each other unintentionally through every struggle, traumatic past, or sacrificial thought by simply loving one another, i can’t. loving someone can be a vulnerability yet they’re all such strong individuals alone, survivors, and it gives them something to fight for ahhhhhhh

also also he called them both his mates!!! yess, they are yours and you are theirs, the acceptance and free use of the official title from mumbo’s vampire instincts and nature gives me life.

(lowkey though, i don’t think we’ve addressed enough how traumatized mumbo must be from grian’s multiple kidnappings. both have happened when he’s asleep and the fact that his late wife was murdered in bed before he was forced turned and pushed into hundreds of years of solitude— my guy has some serious trauma from waking to horrendous events involving his lovers, no wonder he’s such a light sleeper. i’m surprised he’s not even more reluctant to sleep given that he can’t be with his lovers when they’re active and alone without him watching [ik they don’t need his constant protection but instinct wise, yknow?]. i think it genuinely just adds to scar sleeping in their bed for the first time too)

the pain in knowing that they’re closer than they’ve ever been before and that shines light onto scar’s constant struggle is bittersweet. mumbo and grian finally know how bad it can/it’s getting to be; they can be there to comfort but they can’t take his pain away (at least not now, i hope).

the even bigger pain that grian has begun to think of what will happen if/when they all potentially pass because of his nightmare. they deserve peace and happiness after all the fighting and running each of them has done from their past, yet i assume it’ll be a bit before then (not that i’m complaining, i love angst and even more when it’s your writing).

to think that grian would be physically alone in the natural world if mumbo and scar passed is so cruel yet tragically intriguing. that through all the struggles they’ve faced alone and together, they would never get to rest in peace alongside each other after conflict or mortal ties. i refuse to believe that will be the case, however, given how powerful grian has been hinted to be beyond looks (now when will they all realize is the real question).

they’ve finally realized how in love they all are with each other after +140k words, i wonder how long it’ll take for them to realize how op they are power and ally wise (they’re beautiful, but they’re still men, afterall)

anyway, it’s 2 am and i have to wake early, ty for feeding me content <33

jkgfdklgfdjk after decades/centuries of sleeping alone it's definitely quite a difference sleeping with someone next to you. But he's definitely not complaining, getting to see them there, in his bed, where he can see them and protect them and just hjfjkdsjk <3

YESSSS that is my favorite thing with relationships, how simply LOVING someone can be so powerful <3 of course relationships need more than simply love or attraction, it still takes work, but it comes so naturally for them <3 ghhghjgf-

YES he's finally begun to embrace his more Vampiric instincts <3 It probably helps with how subtly encouraging both Grian and Scar are, small assurances that his instincts are not bad as long as he doesn't take them to extremes and they're part of who he is hflds <3

(hahahahahahahahahaha :) :) Yeah bad shit happens while Mumbo sleeps jkfdksjfg it definitely makes him anxious, I'm sure the fact that Scar sleeping occasionally has the side effect of a painful core restabilization, of which the aftermath would show itself after Mumbo has gone to bed, won't add to this anxiety- BUT YEAH everything would be solved (not really but you know) if they all had the same sleeping schedule haha :) )

i was already excited with the idea of mumbo gifting scar a greenhouse since the first time grian and him saw his flat, but to see how much the story has progressed with their relationship and the added layer of what scar’s plants mean/do for him—

i’m in love with your writing and even more so with how well you map a story out. just the fact that something so old and forgotten has the potential to be something new as a show of love is everything to me. it also adds so much that the sunroom was introduced as part reason to why mumbo returned to boatem and stayed in his manor (more specifically adopted it as his own again).

side note, something about knowing mumbo trained professionally as a doctor rather just offhandedly having first aid knowledge is a beautiful visual, it’s giving carlisle from twilight but a sexy british man. with so much time on his hands, why wouldn’t he train in a difficult profession in order to help other people without recognition or a need of money, the selfless bastard (affectionate)

but ahhhhhhhh! the sunroom reflected a time of war and pain, a time when mumbo came back to help others in times of need. the sunroom was something luxurious and beautiful, yet it was sacrificed to the cost of war. THE FACT THAT IT’LL BE REMADE IN THE NAME OF LOVE AFTER ALL THIS TIME OF NEGLECT??

it’s an addition to the manor that will truly show how important scar is to their lives; from being a hated stranger to a beloved partner, in this essay i will—

nothing will ever not be enough for mumbo’s partners and it’s so beautiful to note how much effort he’s willing to put into his manor so it’s theirs as well (he owned a house and they’re making it a homeeeee).

i’m basking in the fluffiness yet am also excited to what the future may hold for our lovers. the set up of scar leaving for the first time since their establishment has so much potential for angst or as a testament to their love, i can’t wait to see what comes from it.

it builds when mumbo also considers how unnecessarily selfless scar can be. it was a small observation at the end but i can’t help but recognize how little scar prioritizes his wants/needs beyond balancing his magic because he’s been told all his life how little time he has. it’s one thing to know of your limited time, it’s another when you’ve been consistently reminded how fragile and limited you are because of things “destined” to happen. my traumatized elf :(

scar deserves his happiness with his lovers and i can’t wait to read when he sees it for himself. they potentially symbolize something worth living for outside of sacrificing time for others (the moment scar confines in them of his wants might be the day i die because it’s a level of trust, it’s a huge step in their relationship, it’s wHEN HE GIVES IN TO HIS NEEDS AND PLEASURE—). his possessive lovers love him because he is worth being loved, regardless of the impact one could make on such restricted time. our scar deserves to be selfish, i refuse to believe otherwise *^*

i want to apologize for ranting so much yet i can’t, knowing it’s a result from the genius that is your talent and craftsmanship. i just, i appreciate you so much. thank you for taking the time to share your work with us readers. it’s semi silly to think i’m hyperfixating on minecraft fanfiction, but you continuously make it worth getting excited over.

Ok that first chapter absolutely shattered me. Please please I am begging you, please don’t let grian be any sort of godling person who is able to see pontial visions of the future. I couldn’t bear it. (although it was specatularly written, you had me almost in tears and that rarely happens when I read)

And scar just immediatly being there after being woken in the middle of the night and all of them cuddling was just <3<3

But yeah, ouch these chapters made me sad and nervous because I just want them to be happy and have some time to be in love before anything bad happens (because I know there will be a large share of bad things) but AAAHHH I want them to live together happily for a long long time and all this talk about death is making me Nervous
