like on one hand i do sort of want to argue with that person on the "character death is like child abuse" post because no of course commonality doesn't equal goodness. but when a theme is overwhelmingly common in art, it's stupid to treat it like it's inherently meaningless or frivolous or done without thought to "maximize pain". loss is common in art because loss is universal in life. it's cathartic. it models emotions. it lets us see ourselves in the grief of characters. it moves narratives. it characterizes the living. it gives reason to action and stakes to a narrative. it enhances emotional connectivity and provides commentary on life. it is the end of all arcs and the start of new ones

on the other hand. um. they like to post about avatar the last airbender pederasty . so i think they're probably a lost cause not worth engaging with

i don't actually really love vaguing random tumblr users it makes me feel a little bit ill and dirty and stuff but i saw a post that talks about antisemitism @ palestinian rallies and the clip of "antisemitism" they posted was protesters chanting about stolen land and saying they honor all the dead gazans... how fucking evil do you have to be to frame that as antisemitism... and the person in question was a convert bragging about how they were writing gay protest fanfiction too like actually i think you need sit down and leave us alone lol
