Finally I'm back! I can't believe it took 5 months for me to answer another ask on my blog T_T I'm trying to work on more asks I hope people don't mind the new art style I know a lot of people were attached to the old one and I really appreciate that, but it turned into a fairly time inefficient thing and I got so stuck using certain brushes I felt quite limited from improving

But I am really glad to be back (✿◠‿◠) so if anyone wants to add more asks to the pile I'd appreciate it!

apologies for not doing asks for ages again. I'm in a bit of a rut.

Basically, when i started this blog, I wanted it to have a distinct look but also not be so time intensive as my regular digital paintings. Kinda how badlydrawnronpa is super recognisable + expressive but made in mspaint and the characters exist in a white void.

My problem came from being greedy and wanting to have full colour art + backgrounds (at least part of this is that my sketchy style isn't very readable so I couldn't really just use that).

So now i'm in an awkward spot with this blog: If I have motivation for art, I'm probably working on a full digital painting. If I don't have motivation/time, I won't have enough to make the art for this blog.

I also became dissatisfied with the style I chose. I made such an effort to keep everything (down to the grain-texture) consistent that changing anything feels like it'd be too much of a deviation and I don't want to make too big a change.

I want to keep making stuff here, I'm so happy to see people enjoying what i make and i do have comic ideas. But I want to know my followers opinion: should I try using new art styles? I know that's a faux pas for ask blogs, but I feel like I could make art that is both better and more efficient if I get experimental for a while...

Also since I started this blog, MiniGRAM became a thing and i now have to contend with the fact that I will never draw a character as cute as blob Amane /half joking

The latest Minigram was so cute! It really forced my hand to finally draw Jackalope (though I should say real rabbits can't drink milk, cow or soy, but i suppose jackalopes must be a bit different)
