“I’ve been clean from smoking for a while now, but… not for as long as everyone else thinks. They think I quit smoking shortly after I passed out and ended up in the hospital a couple years ago. But the truth is, I just couldn’t stop. I came face-to-face with what those things were doing to me, but for months, I just kept doing it.

Eventually I did manage to stop. But my official ‘quit date’ is much later than I say it is. Annie, Hex, the little man and his girlfriend— they were all just so happy and relieved when I’d told them I’d quit. I guess I just didn’t want to take that from them just because I couldn’t put the damn pack down.”

“When we went to McDonald’s, I think I connected to the WiFi with my mind. So I guess that’s one thing.”

Garcello brought it up like just an amusing thing that happened, but Hex, on the other hand, looked positively horrified.

“Garcy! Please don’t just connect to public networks like that, it could be dangerous!”

“Dangerous? How?”

“Public WiFi networks can be incredibly insecure, someone could’ve hacked into you! And please believe me, it’s even worse as a robot..”

Garcello just was just kinda stunned. The fact his mind could just be broken into at some point— it was. Sure something. An uncomfortable something.

“Uh. Well then. To answer your question again, I’m sure there is. But for now, I think I should just try and be cautious until all this blows over.”

Hex I am GOING to buy u mcdonalds right now beacuse i adore you and i also like chicken nuggets so it'll probably be the closest thing to heaven i'll ever go to

And so, the swapped robot-human duo went out and got a mcchicken meal, with sweet tea, and a large fries. Or rather, Hex did. As Garcello couldn’t eat anything at the moment.

But either way, once hex got a bite of that sandwich?

“I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on this my whole life!”

Dang, the only other person who’s ever been this enthusiastic about something from McDonald’s is probably Garcello. Guess getting food from there was a good call.
