I wanted to take today to focus on Trans Black Lives. I hope that at least some of you have heard about Tony McDade a Black Trans Man who was shot and killed by the police just two days before George Floyd. The intersection between Pride this Month and the Black Lives Matter Movement is significant. We can trace its steps back to Marsha P. Johnson an outspoken advocate for gay rights and one of the prominent figures in the Stonewall uprising of 1969. @blackvisionscollective is a great place to start if you’re looking to advocate for Black Trans Lives. Last year, I wrote an article on the realities of navigating the vintage community as a black woman for @thevintagewomanmagazine . I’ve had the honor of working on a little project with these lovely and diverse group of girls. We wanted to create and image that stands for unity between women of color in the pinup community ... so often we are underrepresented, silenced and alienated so we wanted to create something for ourselves together. Today it feels like this message has an added layer of importance with the events that transpired yesterday in regards to George Floyd. The black community cannot undo systematic racism alone we need our allies to stand up and speak up with us. FOR MY FELLOW GERMAPHOBES & ESSENTIAL WORKERS! 

Now I’m no Howie Mandel, but being someone who is a little OCD and slightly germaphobic considering our current situation, this product right here is a blessing in disguise. I’m an essential worker (courier) so I still have to go out in the world and open doors, push buttons, etc. to deliver packages. It fits in my pocket for easy access and the coolest part is it has sponges on the inside that you put sanitizer on so that the parts touching the buttons/door handles stay clean!
