Spin-off, now

Disney, please just give us the prequel spin-off, it’ll even fit “your branding”, each episode just being a different set of shenanigans with little overarching plot. Each flashback and reference to hexside days makes me want the spin-off so badly. I just want to see Lilith, Eda, and Raine back when things were happy, and know how Darius and Raine interacted at Hexside. And Alador and Darius.

I just watched the new episode…

Okay, the part where Luz tells King that weirdos have to stick together, reminds me of in the season 1 finale, when Luz tells Eda that. Both King and Eda in both cases were protecting her by leaving.

Also, Raine didn’t die, I don’t care what you say, they are alive. The spell uses the 9 witches to funnel the magic into the spell, so since the spell wasn’t over yet and all the magic hadn’t been drained yet, the coven heads aren’t dead, because they can’t die until after the spell ends, however all the coven heads are unconscious and really hurt.

The Collector has some cool theme music that works really well

Excited to see the season 3 intro, how it’ll be different with some characters in the human world.

With Luz and co in the human world, all plots in the demon realm are going to have King, Eda, and the CATs as the protagonists, so we’ll hopefully get more of the CATs.

Also, we now know what Dana’s tweet about Raeda in the finale animatic meant, she deleted the tweet a while ago, I wonder if it was to scare us more now that I think about it

If Raine is actually dead in season 3, I’m going to be really upset

Gays get plot armor, straight old christian white guy dies, happy ending for end of season 2, nothing bad will happen

Haven’t watched the new episode yet, but I have decided all the gay characters in the owl house have the opposite of burying the gays trope, they have plot armor. So Raine won’t die, Eda and King won’t seriously be hurt, and Luz won’t be possessed. Ok, IT IS ALL FINE I’M SURE IT IS!

Since many of you have already watched the episode, feel free to make fun of me and laugh hysterically while sobbing about the actual outcomes of the episode, I’m getting offline before I get any spoilers.

Yeah, I just watched Gravity Falls recently, and I would have loved it and went so much more crazy about it if I watched it while it was ongoing, I know because I’m watching Owl House right now each week. It definitely is a different experience.

Spent 10 minutes editing a few screen caps of Belos, has all of his scenes up until the end of Follies at the Coven Day Parade, except for two scenes with bad angles. 

First scene with Belos, takes place in Agony of a Witch when he talks to Lilith about capturing Eda.

End of Agony of a Witch, the change here isn’t much, should have made it longer.

The things are now as long as three of his masks!

 And finally I did the scene at the coven day parade, and at this point, his mask has reached the clouds!

also i gave them all codenames (raine's is canon, the others are mine. juggler from the bit in last ep when it looked like darius was juggling abomination balls, and claws because obvious). because when doing a heist you never use your real name.

Just thinking about what the coven heads were doing from the time they mistakenly sent the kids into Belos’s mind and when we see them in the woods

We know that Darius and Eberwolf immediately flee, Darius leaving behind the potion, something that Raine probably was not happy about. Raine uses their instrument so they can escape without being seen.

I think that Darius completely forgot that he left the potion at first, and didn’t want to get involved, but Raine insisted, and when they all realized they left the potion behind they all went towards the owl house, something Raine insisted on doing, because even if they don’t want Eda involved, they can’t just not tell her that her kid might be in serious danger. That’s when we get Darius holding Raine back, before realizing that Hunter was in Belos’s mind too.

Raine tells the others they know how to get past Hooty, and they seem to know Hooty’s weakness is romance, and Hooty built that tunnel of love really quickly so that leaves the implication that Hooty made it for 16 year old Raine and Eda 

Raine knows that Hooty could recognize them or Eda could recognize their handwriting, so they have Darius write and deliver the note, and Darius isn’t sure if Raine is just using Hooty’s weakness or if they just want to give Eda flowers.

Raine stays in the bushes a bit longer to make sure Eda got the spell, Darius and Eberwolf already left, so Raine was the figure Eda saw running.

And even though I would love to believe Hunter found Darius and the others and they all talked things out and everything is happy as can be in this situation, Darius, Raine, and Eberwolf don’t know what Hunter saw, so they don’t know if he is loyal or not, so painfully the same way Raine was upset about not being able to look back at Hunter for long in Any Sport in a Storm, they go straight back home, and never meet up with Hunter.

There will probably be a lot of miscommunication between Hunter and the rebel coven heads, Hunter thinking the coven heads are all loyal, and the coven head trio thinking Hunter is still loyal.

But if Hunter doesn’t go back, they would definitely worry then we could imagine that the next day they all go out and find Hunter and talk to him.

This episode: Accidentally sending Eda’s kid into an evil Empero’s mind, only furthering Eda’s connection to the events and getting her more involved

I don’t think Raine’s plans are working out to well for them so far…

I like how Eda reacts to Hunter’s panic attack

It works well since Eda knows that Hunter doesn’t want to be crowded, she has dealt with the owl beast and has triggers like those light things, she doesn’t want to stress him out. She reaches out to him, but doesn’t get too close so if he wants to go to her he can but if he wants space he can have that too.

Starting to think Raine has been acting and fooling us even longer than we think

Raine’s first attempt at a rebellion was SO BAD! It was so clear it was them, and we know they are intelligent, so surely smart enough to NOT fall for a fake raid, and they are a good actor, so they should have been smart enough to change outfits, right?! I know it is a stretch, but what if to get Raine closer to Terra and Belos, where all the information is, the BATTs was just a plan to get Raine caught, especially since Raine may have known that Terra would want to keep them around, and with the day of unity they are irreplaceable, guaranteeing their survival at the very least and at most full trust if they pretended to be brainwashed.

Before this episode, I was thinking about this, but wasn’t good with the idea, because we didn’t know how much self preservation Darius and Eberwolf had, but now we know that they were going to send themselves into Belos’s mind, where he would remember them and they would get caught.

Maybe Raine knew Darius and Eberwolf would be fine with dying, so they kept playing until they realized Eda had a family.  Darius was also pretty self defensive when Kikimora came, so something was going on.

Even if there wasn’t a rebellion with the trio yet, Darius had to at least let Raine escape in Eda’s Requiem, because we see Raine’s broken instrument, so Darius had to loosen the abomination’s grip on them.
