I’m struggling to get better pics of this with my camera since the painting is light and soft. The camera keeps wanting to make it darker. I might try again tomorrow.

Anyway, I finally was able to get a painting done. Took longer than I thought since the background got messed up with paint that got on my hand, so I gave it a new background with a little help ✂️

Of course, I wanted to paint Merlin. Some details hard to see in the pics is that there is a shooting star tear made from metallic paints and a little star on his forehead.

The background got messed up because I didn’t notice that yellow paint got on my hand and ended up where where the white was gonna go. Trying to make sense of it, I kept messing with it and making it look sloppy.

Ended up doing something I did once for a painting that I had liked and hated the background which involves grabbing the scissors. There was an extra detail, a halo/planetary ring going around his head, that ended up going cut off, but I salvaged the painting lol

If anything, the drawing had a different vibe than the painting since I did originally have line art in mind and the final painting came out soft looking.

I like it a lot better than the last painting that I did and didn’t share lol. I was trying to remember how to use gouache as practice, and I just really don’t like how it came out

Managed to get the drawing done. I'm gonna take a break because the event in the one game I play is ending soon, and I really need to grind the last levels, but I'm going to paint it after since I like it. Was actually tempted to do a drawing that I wanted to ink with pens before painting, but I can't practice on this lol

I’m finally able to do art since I’m in the mood and have time, but of course, I keep getting prevented. I even said I just want to draw right now and have been for over an hour and a half and finally was able to be home with my sketchbook, but all I’ve managed to get done is the basic shape of a nose.

I just put on the Watcher leaving YouTube video. (I was hanging out with my cats, so I didn’t see it when it went up.) I see they used the clip from Cleveland that you can see my Mom and me in it. That’s funny.

#though also like I haven’t gotten to them talking about the site yet #but I am seeing all the comments #but I was seeing people say that the plan atm is to put their content on YouTube behind membership and I just don’t get it #and agree with what im seeing people saying #like the comparison I was seeing makes sense with DropOut #since like I’ve been meaning to check out theirs since I watch everything they do have on YouTune when it comes up #them and one person I follow on here is how I found out about them #des says stuff
