Trans guys if you get an anon claiming to be a trans women that says rude/bigoted shit, don’t believe them. Transphobes have admitted to pretending to be trans women and sending bigoted asks to trans men.

If you get an anon ask saying weird shit claiming to be from a trans women - always remember anons can lie about who they are! 9 times out of 10 it’s just some cis person lying to paint trans women as evil bigots.

And everytime I see a trans man fall for the bait and start saying transmisogynistic shit I just sigh.

im begging y'all to just let people be bad at things, especially in fandom spaces. no, it is not such a terrible thing that u read a fic with bad characterization. yes, obviously, complain about it if u want, u can do whatever you want on ur page. but leave the creator alone.

the amount of young artists online i see getting bullied out of doing something they love is actually ridiculous, all because they haven't had the time to develop a good artstyle or the skills to correctly write whatever they want. not even that, half the time they get torn apart in the comments bc their artstyle just doesnt look the way the people watching the video would prefer.

but like? too bad?? they don't have to change how they create to suit your preferences. if you personally don't like what they make, then stop looking at their posts, it's really not that difficult. block the creator if how their art looks hurts you that badly. but honestly, if you're genuinely that bothered by a random fic or art piece online i think there might be deeper issues that u should consider looking at

Mspec lesbians and mspec gays are not your enemy!! They are not Ruining the Sanctity of lesbianism or gayness. They are not the reason why cis men are lesbophobic, and they are not why bigots can't take gay people seriously

They are NOT a community that uses a label made to describe a lesbian who is attracted to trans women. It was not made by terfs. It is a label that is largely used by queer people with a beautifully complex sense of sexuality, and/or oftentimes gender identity/identities

Mspec lesbians and mspec gays are simply a subset of the lesbian and gay community, much like the asexual lesbians, or aromantic gays, or the trans* lesbians or the non-he/him gays. These are diverse communities, and have been for decades, even centuries.

No one in the mspec lesbian and mspec gay communities are demanding anyone to do anything, especially in regards to a stranger's own sexuality. All they ask for and want is understanding, respect, and care. Just like the rest of us - just like you.

Mspec lesbians and mspec gays are people who have probably gone through a lot of inner reflection on who they are and what label they want. As you most likely have, as well, and so have I.

We all start off with the same question - "what am I?" - it's just that we all end up with our own answers, each one similar and different to each other.

We are a community. A family. Having a kneejerk "but!! My feelings!" is inevitable, especially with the more complex or obscure things, but that is something that should be temporary and then let go.

Do not let that hook of fear dig into you, because it won't lead you toward the bright future you want.

Fight it, open your mind, and listen to us

My philosophy for queer labels goes like this

1. Anyone who in good faith uses a label is fine to use it for themselves

2. There is no way to always tell who is using it in good faith

3. Act like everyone is using it in good faith.

4. …including assholes clearly IDing to be an ass. Treating them like they mean it is a quick way to make an asshole get yuckied out and knock it off. If they seem to be committed to the bit, maybe they really mean it

one thing i have been thinking about nonstop is how israel's violence in gaza will have everlasting effects - the malnourished children with stunted growth for life, the amputees, the trauma..

but i have also been thinking about how israel had destroyed the fabric of Gazan society, very possibly beyond repair.

not only has israel annihilated entire bloodlines, destroying family traditions and oral histories passed down through generations, it has also removed people from the lands they have lived on and toiled for generations, forcibly uprooting them from their towns, tearing up entire communities and perpetually dismantling the societal makeup

even when gaza is rebuilt, looking at aerial footage of how neighbourhoods and entire towns have been razed by israel, it's very easy to see israel's intention of destroying culture as an integral part of its ongoing genocide in gaza
