People had trouble believing that Silva and Kikyo doesn't love each other, but like, they had 5 kids??? Even if they were only banging to produce The Heir, that means at least Alluka and Kalluto are made for fun.

I love everything about this prediction, the moment I heard about Shalnark and Kortopi's death, I immediately thought about the fortunes and how it become true at the end. My theory is, the fortunes itself only delay the inevitable, not cancel the entire event, so it will come true at some point. OR it could also because of Chrollo's actions in breaking Lovely Ghostwriter's rules. Neon herself said that the fortunes is meant to help the fortune receiver, and that it will become accurate when the teller doesn't know the content. But Chrollo not only reads the fortunes content, but he actively discuss the it with the troupe. If the fortune goal is to help the receiver by giving them a chance to avoid their fates, maybe bcs Chrollo broke the rules, he didn't cancel it, just delaying the prediction.
My two cents about the theory:
I don't think Illumi and Hisoka are in cahoots to take down the Phantom Troupe. Illumi seems incapable of acting on a role, especially one as convoluted as double crossing someone. He's painfully awkward and weird, that's kinda his thing.
If the frost moon truly referring to Illumi (not just Uvogin), then maybe the reason Kurapika is pleased bcs it means he can manipulate the situation using Illumi? I mean, the Zoldycks are asassins, it's possible for Kurapika to hire Illumi/Kalluto for something. I don't know what their policy about taking on double jobs, but with the right circumstances, it could probably happened. Or maybe Kurapika will use his connection to Killua to make them do something. For example, he could offer to bring Kalluto to Killua in exchange for Kalluto and Illumi's help. It could be the perfect transition to the next arc too. Say Kurapika and the Zoldycks survived, then their agreement will bring Killua back to the plot to continue his storyline without Gon.
A Possible Future Based On Hisoka's Fortune - HxH Predictions
Tumblr media
Hunter x Hunter Chapter 105 (Raw)
"A red-eyed customer will visit your store. Half of them is angel, and the other is the god of death. Presumably they are hoping that you will sell the moon's secrets to them. They ought to be especially pleased about that of the frost moon.
On a hot day, with the mediation of the said customer, the two of you, the man of a reversed cross and you, are probably to be left alone together. The false fourth moon will be torn away from the calendar. With this, those that remain will become 6."
Tumblr media
I'm gonna put it here to remind us all of Hisoka's real fortune.
We all know how Shalnark ended up dead according to the fortune he received back in Yorknew arc. Now everyone is paying attention at Shizuku's fortune and making predictions. One of the most popular of these theories is how Shizuku will die around merchandise covered in black, which are brought by the Kakin mafia or one of the princes, if I remember correctly.
So now, I shall make my own predictions on what will happen in the future HxH chapters. But this time it will be based on Hisoka's real fortune.
WARNING: IF YOU HAVEN'T READ HUNTER x HUNTER CHAPTERS 349 TO 400, ESPECIALLY 391 TO 400, DO NOT INTERACT OR READ FURTHER. Keep in mind that this is unedited, and you are bound to read some cringey parts at some point.
Tumblr media
First Stanza:
"A red-eyed customer will visit your store. Half of them is angel, and the other is the god of death."
As Hisoka accepted Hinrigh's offer of going to VVIP room at tier 1, he's currently on his way there. The only one there who is described as a "red-eyed customer will visit your store. Half of them is angel, and the other is the god of death" is Kurapika, who is, at present, the bodyguard of 14th Prince Woble and Queen Oito.
At some point, they will meet again. They have to. There is no way that Hisoka will not go to the next banquet nor snoop around and find out what's up in the said tier. He will be there and his encounter with Kurapika for the first time since Yorknew arc is inevitable.
"Presumably they are hoping that you will sell the moon's secrets to them."
With Hisoka's presence in tier 1, Kurapika won't be able to help but wonder what happened to the Phantom Troupe, especially Chrollo, after Kurapika and the main gang left Chrollo, Hisoka and Pakunoda on top of the cliff/mountain (pls my brain isn't cooperating right now, somebody remind me), in the middle of nowhere.
Kurapika will definitely ask Hisoka about the Phantom Troupe. Presently, he wants to know about them and, obviously, he will get curious whether they are in the Black Whale or not. Remember, the Phantom Troupe is also his target, but obviously more secondary as 4th Prince Tserriednich is his first and foremost target as of this arc.
Kurapika will definitely find out that they are onboard the ship, and in all probability, Hisoka will let him know about it. After all, wouldn't Hisoka want to form an alliance again with Kurapika?
"They ought to be especially pleased about that of the frost moon."
I believe Hisoka will reveal something about the frost moon with Kurapika.
As you know, the frost moon refers to #11 of the Phantom Troupe. Back in Yorknew arc, they were referring to Uvogin. But he died. He even got a tombstone-less tomb and a requiem on the night of the underground auction. So, how is frost moon still relevant to this arc?
Well, sucks for you, but the one who replaced Uvogin is none other than this man:
Tumblr media
Hunter x Hunter Chapter 377 (Official English Translation)
Illumi Zoldyck.
With the way he is acting at the moment and how he divulged his assassination deal with Hisoka is making him super suspicious. There has been so many theories about him being Hisoka and so on because of how sus he is at the moment.
Though the theory about him being Hisoka has been debunked as of the current available chapters, you cannot deny that this is not merely just a "kill me and my engagement ring to or prenup with you is that you get paid". There's something more going on here.
I predict that he and Hisoka are on cahoots with each other. Surely, Hisoka had a deal with him, but I think it's more of helping him destroy the Spiders from the inside and so Illumi can save Kalluto from Hisoka's murder plan.
If it is true that Hisoka and Illumi are working together because Hisoka asked him to just like in Yorknew and Illumi can save his younger sibling, then Kurapika will be pleased. Because that's less spiders he has to worry with, considering that he also has to get closer to Prince Tserriednich to take back the remaining scarlet eyes, while also helping Queen Oito and Prince Woble survive the succession war.
(At this point, you may take a break. Resume reading once you are ready.)
Tumblr media
Second Stanza:
"On a hot day, with the mediation of the said customer, the two of you, the man of a reversed cross and you, are probably to be left alone together. "
I am mostly onboard with the prediction that Kurapika and Hisoka will come up with some sort of agreement regarding the Troupe. Kurapika already has too many things in his plate regarding the succession war with the remaining princes and how he will get close in contact with Prince Tserriednich. It won't come into surprise if Kurapika asks Hisoka for a helping hand or accept Hisoka's offer of his own kind of alliance, which I think he would do just like in Yorknew. But I think this time Hisoka will warn him not to remove Chrollo's nen. xD
Hisoka will perhaps help him take out some of the members. I feel that he will go for Shizuku and/or Bonolenov first. They are currently with Chrollo, so perhaps with Kurapika's help or someone's help, Chrollo can get separated from them, and then he can kill Shizuku and Bonolenov right then and there.
But we can also take into account that the closes Spiders to Hisoka right now are Nobunaga, Phinks, Feitan, and most likely Franklin and Machi. He can go for one of them first, as well. But I really feel like Shizuku and Bonolenov will die and I'll explain why in a short bit.
And of course, the one I'm most excited about is the showdown between Hisoka and Machi. I'm so ready to witness the best tragic romance of all times
Later on, Kurapika will maybe help him get another chance to be alone with Chrollo in return of him getting rid of some of the Troupe members. The ship is on the way to the false Dark Continent right now, so maybe he can set up a place there where Hisoka and Chrollo can face off. And it will be hot on that place on that day.
But it can also be that because of Kurapika, Hisoka and Chrollo will be alone together in the Black Whale ship, whether intentional or not. But how can it be a hot day in a ship, especially later when they can no longer go out of the premises due to the unpredictable travel conditions?
When the whole ship is in chaos and on fire. Now that will be wild, but not impossible.
"The false fourth moon will be torn away from the calendar."
In Yorknew arc, the false fourth moon was Hisoka, the former #4 of the Spiders. His allegiance to the spider was never true and he was willing for the existence of the Spider to perish.
But the one to replace him was Kalluto Zoldyck, the youngest member of the famous Zoldyck family.
As of now, it looks like he is getting along with them, and based on chapter 377 and 380, he has found some sort of comfort with them.
I mean look at Kalluto sitting near Machi, whom I previously analyzed based off of her speech language as someone considerate to kids.
Tumblr media
Hunter x Hunter Chapter 377 (Official English Translation)
And how she is reacting when Illumi revealed to Mizai about everyone in the Phantom Troupe onboard the ship.
Tumblr media
Hunter x Hunter Chapter 380 (Official English Translation)
Even so, how can Kalluto be a false fourth moon?
Because he is a Zoldyck.
At some point in the current arc, he will have to choose between the Zoldyck family and the Spiders, considering the fact that Illumi is most likely in cahoots with Hisoka, who is trying to kill the Spiders and have a rematch with Chrollo, perhaps.
And he will definitely choose the family. Because before he is a Phantom Troupe member, he is a Zoldyck. Knowing the dynamics of the family and all of that, I think he will have no choice but to choose his own biological family over the one he found some comfort with. Thus, he has always been a false fourth moon, just like Hisoka.
"With this, those that remain will become 6."
Whether this happens before, during, or after the Hisoka and Chrollo being alone together on a hot day, it doesn't matter. I predict that there will be six members of the Phantom Troupe left, including Chrollo.
And you know what's funny, I think the ones who will have to die are Shizuku and Bonolenov, as I stated previously.
Because:
Tumblr media
Hunter x Hunter Chapter 397 (Unofficial English Translations)
The ones who will be left will be the original Phantom Troupe members.
Originally, there are nine members. But three of them are already dead: Pakunoda, Uvogin and Shalnark.
When Shizuku and Bonolenov dies, the ones who will be left will be Nobunaga, Phinks, Feitan, Franklin, Machi, and Chrollo.
The original six.
I really think that if this will be the case, then we have a big potential or two when it comes to exploring the dynamics and relationships between the founding members. We have already witnessed the tension and conflict between the founding members when Chrollo was kidnapped by Kurapika back in Yorknew.
So this time it'll be interesting if we see it once again. And it'll be better if six of them are alive, but Chrollo is alone with Hisoka and they are far away from the other five. It'll be another dilemma for them once again. Do you save Chrollo or do you live on and keep the Spider alive?
And it'll be more interesting if the other people's predictions that the Hei-Ly family had something to do with Sarasa's death and the six founding members finds out about this and ends up being face to face with the benefactor.
These two events can tie into the Spiders' backstory a lot with the former possibly igniting or making them recollect the strong bonds that existed back on that day in the forest and the latter resolving the grudge and guilt they have been carrying since childhood.
Also, having the six founding members dying at the same time or together can be melancholic and sorrowful. A tragic and sad ending, but which provided them resolution and catharsis.
Tumblr media
And that's about it. I hope you enjoyed reading my predictions. This post has been in my drafts since the day before my birthday last year and I just completed it in one sitting. Finally, I posted something decent after a long time.
Anyways, I'll go to sleep now. It's like 2 or 3 am here right now.
Until then.

For Kurapika, Neon staying in YorkNew City would be the best way for him to achieve his goal in pursuing the phantom troupe because he needs Nostrade connections, but he disregard all of that because "Her safety comes first and foremost"
Even Neon's father is reluctant to prioritize her safety, but Kurapika does it without any thoughts

I find it interesting that when coercing Kurapika to team up with him, Hisoka said "It's not like we're getting married"
Tumblr media
On the other hand, him and Illumi straight up calls their teamwork an "engagement" with a prenup.

Ran inspire Shinichi
Tumblr media
I think this moment is often forgotten a lot in shinran fandom because Ran isn't even present in the case, but look at it! We have so many instances of Shinichi inspiring others, but Shinichi himself is pretty steadfast on his own moral and values, he rarely take inspiration from others. If he quotes someone or remember someone else's wisdom, it's usually from Sherlock Holmes, but at this instance, he remembers Ran's words!! These two truly inspire one another to be better.

You seem to have non-biased opinions about the matters in DCMK and I would love to hear a non-biased pinion about which of the two works best ShinRan/CoAi (or Shinichi/Shiho)? (Because the shippers of these 2 will always be biased no matter how deeply they analyze imo)
Well, even a non-biased opinion would be looking at it just based on the series, where it’s clear that Gosho was always intending to make it clear Shinichi and Ran are romantically interested in each other, while the only relationship with Haibara is one-sided, and I’ve stated once before that I don’t even fully see her feelings as romantic. But for a full look…
Shin/Ran would still work best by default. The simple truth of that is because of emotions. People could argue that they’re only friends, but Shinichi was shown to want a full future with Ran from the very first chapter. He himself was on the immature side in the early chapters, so that could have been wishful thinking, but his feelings throughout the series have been clear. He wants to be with Ran, and he’d like to keep her as happy as he’s able to with his current situation.
Ran’s emotions and actions when it comes to concern for Shinchi could come from the fact that her parents are separated. She might be able to see her mother when she really needs to, but I doubt Eri leaving left Ran ‘okay’ with the idea of other people leaving her, which is why she’s so emotionally compromised when Shinichi seemed to have disappeared without a word. Unlike with Shinichi, she doesn’t have wild fantasies about marrying him, though to be fair, we don’t see that from Haibara either. Or really from much of any female character outside of Sonoko when it comes to any fantasies. Hers is a more general caring about his well being and happiness, but we do get signs from early on that she’s more self conscious about him (whenever he’s the topic of discussion in regards to her), and it’s not the sort of ‘stop saying that you know that’s silly’ and more of a ‘don’t bring that up’ that indicates a leaning past the ‘just friends’ role.
I’ve also said this before, but the biggest thing that makes their relationship believable is that they respect each other. They admire the other’s strengths, there’s no criticism aimed at weaknesses (except maybe teasingly but I can’t think of a time at the moment), and they support each other when the other needs it. It’s not just a ‘we’re friends but now I want to kiss too’, they admire traits in each other, already know each others flaws, and still show the signs of wanting to be with the other in the long term.
Co/Ai is a one-sided interest, or more realistically, fan admiration. Most of the times we’ve seen Haibara show feelings of possible attraction towards Conan, it was during, and a bit after, the Vermouth arc, when she was the most vulnerable and scared of the world. Conan had been very blunt about not approving of her the first time she fully introduced herself, and only accepted that she was a person in need of help after she broke down, he realized she’d been Akemi’s sister, and that she really wasn’t okay after saving herself by sheer accident when she’d meant to kill herself. She slowly developed an admiration of him, but he’s never felt the same in return. Even beyond first impressions, they just didn’t see eye to eye when it came to people. A lot of people like this as a ship based on their chemistry, but the only time they’re ever in sync with each other is in having the unique shared experience of being shrunken teenagers. He can push her to do things she’s not comfortable with, and give her some amount of courage…. but again, it’s not something reciprocated. The only thing Haibara can give Conan in return is plot information, paranoid advice, and hope for a cure. Conan impresses her. More than once, he’s been a hero. But there’s nothing emotionally that he’s gained from her, aside from maybe that being with a criminal organization doesn’t mean you would be a bad person. But he technically learned that from her sister, so. *shrugs* Sassy comments and snarky comebacks to not make romantic chemistry, even if they can work for a fine friendship. There needs to be more genuine give and take for anything truly supportive to form.
I will never be able to see Haibara’s feelings as anything more than her being a fan. Nowadays, we can see she forms that sort of attachment to people and things. She’s the biggest fan of Higo after getting attracted to his story and success, to a point people are also shipping her with him. She’s always been a fan of designer items, notably Fusae’s brand (even if she’s unaware that she met the creator of the brand). And she’d gotten attached to Yoko and her music, but that one hit trouble because being a small fan of Yoko doesn’t outweigh being a fan of Higo. So with the behavior we see now, I can’t see her attraction to Conan/Shinichi as anything but admiration as a fan. Just back then, she’d been cynical of the world and wasn’t opening up to other people, so her showing feelings for anyone had more impact, and the one who surprised her and made her drop her guard most often was Shinichi.
There’s also an issue that he flat out doesn’t trust her. He’s protective, but since she openly said that she’s only a child because she’d tried to kill herself and it failed from her being ‘lucky’ enough to survive the APTX, I should hope he would be. Moonlight Sonota made him never want to see even a genuine serial killer kill themselves, much less a scientist who hadn’t meant for what they’d been working on to be used to kill people and feel internally beat themselves up about it. He never keeps her informed on how BO progress is going, he doesn’t want her involved. If I consider Haibara’s feelings are those of an admiring fan, than Shinichi’s are just those of a detective. I wouldn’t go so far as to say Haibara would only be a client, since she is a bit closer than that, but it’s more clear he’s helping out someone who desperately needs protection. When Haibara acts odd, he doesn’t consider anything wrong with her emotionally, nor does he even try and figure out what’s going on with her. He’s more likely to just ask ‘what’s wrong with you/what’s with your attitude‘, which isn’t as personal and pretty rude. [ Going by his attitude towards her when she kept accidentally shocking herself because she’d been wearing the wrong fabrics. ] ( Especially when he goes into a tizzy trying to figure out what could possibly be going on with Ran whenever anything seems out of place in the slightest. )

Kalluto wants to become the next Zoldyck family leader
Remember this panel?
Tumblr media
When Kalluto said this, Alluka is still at home and had never left. Most likely he's talking about Killua.
But how does joining the spider helps bring back Killua exactly?
Well, this is probably Kalluto's train of thoughts:
Killua made it no secret that the reason he left is because he doesn't want to be the next family leader.
So, what would be the best way to bring Killua back? By taking on the responsibility himself!
My guess is, Kalluto wants to quickly rise in ranks within Phantom Troupe (who Silva acknowledge as powerful) and prove to Silva that he was just as capable of Killua to become the family leader.
Tumblr media
That way, Silva will choose Kalluto as the heir and Killua would be willing to come back home.
The plan seems so simple, but keep in mind the boy is only like, 10 years old.
This theory makes me really sad to be honest, it seems Kalluto loves Killua unconditionally but Killua didn't even notice him. I mean, just look at the relationship chart, there wasn't even a line between Kalluto and Killua.
Tumblr media
I hope they interact soon.

SHINICHI KUDO IS TOO MUCH
guys, i'm currently working on the "reasons why shinran is one of the most brilliantly written romances of all time" masterlist and i came across this part of the manga:
chapter 44
Tumblr media
AND I AM LAUGHING MY ASS OFF
Tumblr media
shinichi is absolutely RUTHLESS in this chapter. correct me if i'm wrong, but this has to be his angriest moment throughout the entire series? i don't remember him acting this way in any other chapter 😂 like... shinichi is the type of guy who saves murderers from suicide, it's a well known fact that he values human life more than anything, HE'S A DEEPLY IDEALISTIC PERSON, YALL, THAT'S THE MAIN TRAIT THAT DEFINES HIM AS A PERSON and he straight up tells this dude (whos about to slit his own throat btw) TO GO AHEAD AND KILL HIMSELF
Tumblr media
this is the most unhinged i've ever seen him 😂
now, let me be serious for a second. obviously, shinichi strongly suspected that the culprit wouldnt go through with it - he spent the entire case trying to cover up his murder after all, that's not something a suicidal person does. still though. the fact that shinichi was willing to risk it says so much about his love for ran. cause that's what his rant is about. the culprit tried to kill ran on multiple occasions and almost succeeded a couple of times. if there's one thing that shinichi can not handle, it's ran being in danger. he'll lose his composure every single time and he will lash out, even at innocent people who are just trying to help:
chapter 640
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
this man is so devoted to ran, it hurts.
that's why im so shocked everytime the fandom implies that ran is an irrelevant character who doesnt contribute anything to the story. if (for whatever reason) ran stopped being in the picture, the story would end right then and there.
people seem to forget that shinichi has prioritized ran over cases on numerous occasions (that aspect of their relationship deserves its own post tbh, i'll hopefully get to it in the future), he completely loses his mind everytime there's even the slightest risk that she might get hurt and this case right here? chapter 44? that's the wildest shit shinichi has ever said 😂 the part about justice was spot on and very in character for him, but the rest? it was brutal... and very unlike him. which is shocking, considering that ran was completely unharmed. do me a favor and let that sink in: the end of chapter 44 was merely his reaction to the thought of losing ran - he completely lost his shit. now, if ran actually stopped being in his life? shinichi wouldn't just lose his temper, he'd lose himself.
for the record, this isnt me implying that he would go rogue or whatever. the reason why shinichi is so angry in chapter 44 is because ran is okay and tangible, so he still has something to lose. but if she was gone? if she stopped being his life? he wouldn't be angry, he'd be inconsolable. if the level of anger displayed in chapter 44 and 640 is what we get when shinichi simply worries about ran's safety, just imagine the level of heartbreak that we would witness if he genuinely lost her.
shinichi loves and needs ran so much, it's unfathomable for most people, including me. everytime i think i cracked the case and finally figured out how much shinichi loves ran, he proves me wrong. and while i think that most cold cases are a tragedy, i think im coming to terms with leaving this one unresolved. after all, love is the most mysterious force in the universe. and always will be.

I've read the D ending for HxH on twitter, (@cocogum made a good summary about the post )
While the idea is scrapped, I find it interesting that Togashi even considers it in the first place, and offer it to us as consolation prize if he didn't manage to finish HxH.
What I find most interesting is the fact that Gon's son and his granddaughter refuse to partake in the tradition started by Ging to catch the Lake Lord and went off to become a Hunter. In the manga universe, people always kinda admired Gon for his determination and goal-focus mind, people always help Gon to reach his goal (Killua is the most notable, but also that One guy in YorkNew who literally went in debt to help Gon), and it was always portrayed as a good thing. An inspiring quality.
But the manga (particularly in Chimera Ant) subverse this particular shounen trope hard by basically saying: ACTUALLY It's not a good thing!!! What Gon did is selfish and hurting the poeple who care about him.
The scrapped ending basically reinforce this message by having Gon's descendants break the cycle of heartbreak and devote themselves to their family and friends instead of searching some adventures elsewhere.
A lot of people are upset because the ending seems so generic, but I truly think this comes from Togashi himself because it really in line with what the manga had been saying all along, not to mention, it subverts the shounen's most prominent trope: always look for adventures.
I think the ending is scrapped because the possibility of Gon gaining back nen and become a famous Hunter is small, not just because Gon lost his nen, but also because Gon at this point in manga is not likely to do something so selfish again after Chimera Ant arc. But the general message is there.
P.S. This ending also reinforce my believe that Killua will be the head of his family someday and break the assasin cycle.
