My love of a Thousands {final part 4}
Tumblr media
Part One, Two ,Three
DNI/BYF
It had been roughly two weeks. And things had been. Normal enough. Sure there was that lingering tension between you and Rotxo. And yet it felt a little normal too. Perhaps there was always a tension there? You didn’t Know.
But you wanted things to go back to being normal. And yet they weren’t
You had let it go. Letting it settle in the back of your mind just in case but you really did see how Rotxo did in fact Grovel. You watched the way he stood or spoke to you and it was getting under your skin.
You wanted badly to just snap him out of it. And tell him that you have forgiven him to the extent that you could. In some way those words would always stay with you but he has shown to be kind and to really regret what he’s said.
So that’s where its lead you. You had asked Ao’nung to go, that you had something to talk to Rotxo about. Reluctantly Ao’nung did, shooting his friend a ‘Good luck’ before leaving.
Rotxo Stood there nervously under your gaze. Hands rubbing together as he tried to look you in the eye and yet. It felt like he was about to get some bad news.
“What is it that you want to talk to me about”
“Rotxo it’s okay. You don’t have to be nervous.”
“But you make me nervous,” Rotxo began. “Your very waking presence makes me shutter with uneasiness. And its cause i like you so”
You definitely didn’t expect that. Your heart beating a little as you watched as he began to back out. Like a little boy that didn’t want ot admit to something he had done.
“I mean i-”
“ I like you too”
There it was. That defining moment that felt like a thousand needles and thorns shot up into Rotxo’s heart.
“What?”
“I like you. I like you a lot and its a little bit unbearable to not go back to how we once were. I don’t think what you said about me will ever leave. Its not something to easily forgive. But. I want to go back to liking you for this”
You place a hand on his chest. Watching as his gaze fell in embarrassment. And maybe something more.
“You are kind. You are wonderful, and i want to like this part of you. I know what you said before and whilst ill never forget it i can forgive you because you showed me that you are willing to put in an effort for me. I like you Romantically. And”
You couldn’t help but duck your head down. Avoiding his gaze. God this was much more scary than almost falling to your death when you tamed an ikran.
This was far worse.
“I have already forgiven you. But can you forgive yourself?”
You watched as his gaze faltered. He did everything but look at you eye to eye and it made you a little less hopeful.
But seeing how your figure faltered. How you shrunk in yourself he knew he had to speak. For once he had to no longer be that quiet polite man. But he had to speak. Or else this will seal his fate.
“I Admire you!” He yelled, pulling your hands closer to him. Bringing his face closer to yours. Eyes staring at each other. “I Like You!” Hand on your back now. Pulling your bodies closer. God was it always this hot this close to the water?
“I love you”
You knew that. You did, You knew in the way he would look at you after your time in the forest over a week ago. And it didn’t make your heart beat any less than now.
“I like looking at you. I like looking forward to you every time. And I want to spend my waking moments with you and every dream seems empty without you”
You couldn’t help the smile that you held. IT was nice to feel wanted. But quickly it faltered as you watched how his expression fell
“But im scared”
“Scared? Scared of what?”
“Im scared that im going to hurt you again.”
You smiled gently. How thoughtful he had always been. You placed a hand on his cheek making him turn to you.
You would not let it linger any longer.
“Don’t worry Ma Rotxo, I’ll beat you into a pulp if you ever do”
There was his laugh. How hearty it was. Joyus and it was nice to hear it again in full force. How long had it been since you heard it? Far too long. Far too damn long. You missed it. You missed him.
“Im serious. I’ll tell you when you overstep my bounds. Ill let you know if you upset me. I’ll tell you my deepest insecurities. But you also have to do that with me. If you want us, to be
 us”
Rotxo let himself smile. Arms wrapping around you in a warm hug before resting foreheads together. Your breathing evened out with each other and you could feel your hearts dance as one.
This was what you had hoped. For this sweet gentle cooling of the mind when you two would be together. And yes there was no name to it. You weren’t mates but you could only hope that if things were this great now. Maybe in a distant future you could put a name to it too.
“I do want to be an Us. I want to have this work and ill tell you everything about me too. But are you sure its me that you want?”
You held his head. Now sealing your promises with a kiss. And it felt great. The tingling sensation building up and really this was what you had always wanted.
You didn’t care if this was so public. No doubt Ao’nung, Tsireya and possibly your siblings looking in awe too. But that didn’t matter. Not right now.
“I’ve never been more sure about this than now.”
Wrapping arms around each other you let yourself sway with the beat of the water. The wind carried your tune and this was perfect.
This was perfect. And you two had many years to make each other understand that.
-----------------------------------------
You two had finished your coming of age Long ago and it really made you think
What the fuck was Taking so long for You two To becomes mates.
It wasn’t a secret that you two had chosen each other. Sure you technically didn’t stake claim on one another but still.
You would have hoped that by now there would at least be talk about said topic.
But nope! Nothing and it was making you anxious. Sure You could go ahead and Ask him yourself.
But In the moments you two had of dancing around each other and courting each other. You had come to realize that. Yes there was a stark difference in how things are ran here. And maybe that’s how it was? Maybe itll be a while until you two could call each other mates.
But damn was it getting under your skin.
“What is wrongYawntutsyip” Your eldest brother said. Patting the top of your head as he saw your growing frown.
“I am worried”
“About?”
“A lot i suppose”
Neteyam nodded. Looking out to the water Before looking back at you.
“Rotxo’s gonna ask you tonight”
“What?”
“Cmon now. I know that worried look in your eyes. I dont know anything else. And i'm sorry for ruining the surprise for you. But i know when you overly worry”
You couldn’t help but laugh a bit.
“I dont mind it at all”
At least now your terrified heart could ease.
Perhaps now you could finally put a name to this ever growing love.

My love of a thousands [Part 3]
Tumblr media
DNI/BYF
Part One And Two
Synopsis: Its better to talk. And its better to forgive.
Hurt. That's all you felt. That's the festering feeling deep in your core. The Deep rooted hatred for something you could never quiet put your thoughts too.
Was it for you? Was it for Rotxo? Perhaps for Ao’nung?
You were hating something and it couldn’t have a name.
Ao’nung had unfortunately confided in you that Rotxo had also hurt his feelings. And Really you felt bad for him too. But there wasn’t much you could do. What was there to do? So reluctantly you let your life continue.
It was like that for a week. Peace and yet utter hatred. You had distanced yourself from Ao’nung and by default Tsireya. You had isolated yourself and that was fine for a while. You did miss hanging out all together. But you just couldn’t bring yourself To be around anyone right now.
And then you saw how Rotxo suddenly had begun to hang out with Ao’nung again. Safe to say there was a bit of tension yes. But they acted as if nothing has happened. And you watched with envy.
Rotxo hadn’t hurt Ao’nung like you. And when they turned to look at you. You closed your arms around you. Face turning up in hatred as you turned your head as you heard Rotxo try to chase after you.
“Y/n!” He called and yet it fell on ears that didn’t want to hear.
Suddenly you had begun to run. Run fast and far where he could never find you. Up high. You heard him hot on your trail and yet you knew he could never catch up to you. No matter how much you longed to hear what words he may say. To see those eyes. You knew you were utterly weak for him.
He kept calling to you. Feeling branches hit him, rocks that stabbed his feet and yet he didn’t seem to care he just needed you to hear. And as you swung in the trees. Suddenly he had lost sight of you. But he didn’t hear anything move. Chirps and cries of animals but he couldn’t hear your thumping of feet or how your hands made a ‘thunk’ when they hit the trunks of trees.
He tried to catch his breath, Looking at the trees and he still couldn’t see you.But you could see him. You had hid. Eyes tearing a bit as all you could think was what he told you. You two were far from the reef and you knew that and it made you kinda happy to know he had followed you this far.
 Heaving he let out a cough.
“Y/n! Y/n? Please. I wish i could.. If there was a way.” He said through tears as he kept looking up to the trees. For any sign that you were there. And maybe this is why you had darker skin cause he couldn’t find you. “ I’m sorry”
He sat down under a tree. Yelling for that is all he could hope for. Hope that you had heard him
“Im sorry for ever even saying anything than what i truly feel. I'm sorry I'm such a coward to not tell you face to face. How my feelings shouldn’t have clouded my judgment. Because i think of you as something extraordinary” He calls out to the sky again.
When nothing happens he lets it go. Arms resting at his sides. His hands were messing with his necklace as he just sat there and began to think. How utterly stupid.
You watched from the trees. Watched and heard all that Rotxo said. And you were happy that he had said sorry. But you weren’t about to forgive him. So you waited. You decided to wait for him to leave. And yet he didn’t
He just sat there. Occasionally looking back to the trees. So you waited and waited and it came to you that he would not leave. Not unless he would see you. And you knew that. And yet you were stubborn too. You would keep him waiting. For you were hurt. Pissed. Anything and everything all at once
So you decided to just sit there. Decided to pass time and cool off for a bit before you could even head home. To even face him.
For now you just carved little things out of the branches of the wood. And that's how time went by so fast. You Only noticed when the light of the sun had faded and it took you a bit to see what you had carved.
Without much thought you headed down. And came face to face with a sleeping Rotxo.
‘Shit. Was he here this whole time?’
It had been hours. The entire day had gone by and he was here.
You sighed. You couldn’t let him sleep here. Not in good conscience. Hesitantly you woke him up. “Rotxo. Hey. Wake up you gotta head home”
“Y/n?”
“Hey cmon. I cant leave you out here you know. Even if you aren’t forgiven”
You watched him. As he stretched and then stood up. Face frowning as he followed behind you. Your words linger in his mind as he just continues to follow you. Hatred.
He didn’t know why but he hated himself so much in this moment. And he wanted to cry. To beg to grovel anything to make you see how utterly sorry he was. And yet the little love he had for himself in this moment knew enough to keep his mouth shut.
He adored you. He wanted you to be happy.
He watched as your tail stood still. No longer moving or wagging around him. How utterly stupid he was. How could he have been so stupid to not see how you adored him as much as he adored you.
How your ears didn’t twitch or how the light in your eyes seemed to flicker. Teetering on the edge of something he could never know.
“I..”
It was silent. And thats when you realized how far you had ran. God you didn’t want to have this conversation. It was far too perfect and yet it hurt so much.
“Im sorry”
“I know”
“I really care about you”
“I know”
Rotxo bit his lip. He didn’t know how to get more out of you. So he held onto your wrist. You two are so close to the clan. And he knew his family probably was worried sick. Such as yours but he needed to.
“I am so terribly sorry for telling. No. Saying that you would so much as throw yourself at anyone. For implying so much and im so terribly sorry for hurting you the way i have”
You waited. You watched continuously. As his eyes began to tear. And god you hated how the night, how the light of the darkness made him ever more so breathtaking. Eywa would make you forgive him. Or your hatred will leave you cold in your grave.
“Rotxo its alright”
“No its not!”
“No. It isn’t, But i cannot hate you. I want to. I do. I want to wipe the floor with you for, ever even implying of slutting myself out. I want to hate you and i want to forgive you. But i cant. I cant right now. I cannot right now.”
Rotxo’s ears lowered. His hands are big compared to yours. And he couldn’t help but rub his thumb over the back of your hand.
“I can’t Not right now but i love you. I want to be with you. And if You ever are so kind to show me that, that isn’t what you think of me. That what you said isn’t what you harbor in your heart. Than i am willing to be there for you to show me”
Rotxo couldn’t believe it. You were willing to give it another try.
And he couldn’t help but kiss your hands and promise you that he would do just that. But letting you go
He didn’t really have words for his parents. His happy smile was enough to know what you  were the reason.
And they were glad. They were so glad about it too.

I ran to tumblr when I thought of this! So , the Avatar franchise is set in the 2100s right? Can I request Fem!Sully! reader (Neteyam's Twin) and their siblings with Ao'nung, Rotxo, and Tsireya watching a 'vintage' film (movies from now, like The Book Of Life, Lilo and Stitch, Toy Story) from Norm's laptop that Kiri and the reader 'borrowed' (took from Norm while they were in a meeting with Jake) With a little bit of Ao'nung x reader (maybe they watch a sad movie and the reader cries and Ao'nung subtly comforts them with head kisses and stuff<333) and also, I love your work!!!! Keep doing it, I love uđŸ«¶đŸŒđŸ«¶đŸŒđŸ«¶đŸŒ

Runaway {Final Part}
Tumblr media
Runaway Masterlist
DNI/BYF
Synopsis:A new Life begins for you and Ao'nung. Things are perfect
Please read the end note
youtube
Pain. It probably hurt worse than getting shot near your heart. No. Actually It was exactly worse.
You had been dining with Tsireya and Lo’ak. The Problem of Olo’eyktan having been settled on Lo’ak. Ao’nung seeing as he had abandoned his people thought it was right to let Lo’ak Be olo’eyktan. You Two were just Having diner after moving your stuff out to a Pod That Ao’nung had made Specifically with you.
Seeing as now that Ronal and Tonowari would have this one Along with Ateyo and they would have the Tsahik and Olo’eyktan pod. The dinner was most appreciated.
Until your water broke.
Now You had thought Maybe You would scream out of panic. Or maybe even Ao’nung. Nope The only way Your families even knew, Maybe even all of pandora, Was the fact that Lo’ak Screamed Bloody murder.
You wanted to laugh really. Cause it was funny to hear the sudden shrill scream of panic from your little brother.
But you couldn’t. You wanted to Murder Ao’nung for doing this to you. Because Holy fuck was it painful. But then again maybe it was the emotions running wild. All you knew is that You wanted to cry out of anger and happiness for it finally happening.
Ronal Beside you guiding you on breathing. While Letting Tsireya do what she was always trained to do.
Tsireya and yourself now testing the waters. You, a mother and Tsireya Tsahik. A Test of Patience and of strength
Ao’nung came back with the last bowl of water as was required While Kiri was setting up the cleaning pot.
Tsireya checking in on you. Luckily enough you were doing great. Minus the swears that you were spewing in english.
‘Motherfucker’ you would mutter. Your parents right outside your pod rubbing their temples as the eyes of the people waited.
“Fuck” You spoke standing up now hands resting on your knees as you felt yourself push. Contractions were hell. Your legs were shaking and Thank Ao’nung and Ronal who held you up.
Tsireya coming to you. Kiri at her side as she brought the basket and the pot.
You felt hot and then cold. Your legs jelly. As you laid your head on Ao’nung’s chest.
“May i?” Tsireya asked and you nodded.
Her hand now feeling your stomach before going to your bottom. Feeling the baby Crown. She looked at everyone and then at you. “It’s time” She whispered.
While you wanted to have strength to hold yourself up. You didnt. You silently thank Ronal and Ao’nung for holding you. Her hand is touching you. And while it felt wrong you knew you needed the help.
“Breathe Ma Y/n” Ao’nung whispered as you did.
“Okay now ill push along with you. But tell me when to stop” Tsireya said
Gulping down your breath.  You nodded before beginning to push. You knew Metkayina people were bigger And given your genes. Well you weren’t exactly tall either. Only smaller than your mother. And you knew this was going to happen.
You knew and yet it didnt fucking hurt any less.
“Stop, stop” you repeated. Feeling yourself cry. Arms shaking as you found his arms to grip. Nails digging into his skin. “ I can’t do this”
“Mawey ma Y/n” Ao’nung spoke now turning to the people in the Marui. Signaling them to leave that he has this under control.
Reluctantly They did. Tsireya signaling she’ll be in the pod over ready. He nodded Thumping his tail on the floor as a single ok.
Now it was you two alone. Shaking in his arms as you continued to cry. Scared. Thats the only thing you feel right now. Scared. Terrified, This was the moment. You could feel them running down your core and yet. Yet you didnt want to go through with it anymore.
“Dance with me?”
“Ao’nung-”
“Please just to help you”
Biting your lip you sighed. Maybe taking your thoughts away from this pain was what you needed. Holding his hand and one resting on his shoulder. He took a hold of your waist. Humming. A tune you didn’t know perhaps you never will.
Resting your head on his shoulder. Letting him ease you. The pain now but a minor pinch and while it didn’t bug you. You felt yourself sway with him.
Like the breeze. The waves of an ocean. Perhaps the wind when it is kind on one self. A sway that only ever told one story. There’s Love in trust.
You felt how his hand kept itself steady at your waist. How his humming didn’t falter as you two continued to dance. You didn’t hear the thump. You didnt hear Tsireya walk in. Really you were so lost in thought that you didn’t notice that you two stopped moving in a little circle and now swayed back and forth in one spot.
To focused on his humming. You didn’t even notice that you had begun to push. Didn’t feel the pain. Didn’t feel anything but absolute content. Peace in the arms of your love.
“You did well my love”
Ao’nung whispered. Now looking at the small bundle that Tsireya had taken the liberty of cleaning.
The water is now dripping over the small babe. Its fussing and its moving Squirming as the water probably feels unwelcoming. Its little legs kick out and arms scrunch up together. He’s not far from them. But he feels so light on his feet. Two feet.perfect little Toes. Small thin Tail. Small thin arms. Chubby arms and body. Four little fingers.
The babe has your Features along with his. He can see the wide face and cheeks he’s known to the metkayina. But has your small eyes as part from your father no doubt. They’re chubby, They are Small yes. But Its a little impressive and kinda horrifying you pushed out such a big baby given your smaller stature than himself and Tsireya.
Closing his eyes kissing your cheek as he just continues to stare at the babe.
 “You did well”
The little thing cries. Finally testing its lungs and it screams like any babe would. Alerting not only Yourself out of your daze. But the Rest of the family outside the pod. The Clan waits with bated breaths. Waiting for any sign of what’s to come.
No doubt Festives to come as is always tradition when a new member of the clan grows. And maybe its morbid curiosity You didn’t look it. You looked like a pure Navi as many would say. So it really was morbid curiosity. How Would a babe Born out of the Forest Navi and Metkayina Look like.
Could the Demon blood run through them?
Waiting. Never blinking all were.
Tsireya now hands you the babe Asking you if she’s okay to clean you and looking down at your Daughter you let her so. You couldn’t help the tears.
Ao’nung found it a little funny how you managed to not only push this chunky child, But carry it to term. And never has he ever made one swift thanks to eywa in his life. One arm on your waist The other at your shoulder as he stared down at his daughter.
A perfect Combination of you two. Your Three fingered hand caressing her face her little four fingered hand now grabbing your finger and you couldn’t help the small sob of happiness that seemed to escape you. Her Eyes were Like Ao’nung, The same blue all Metkayina had. Round cheeks and the perfect set of eyes and nose.
Ao’nung began to cry when he saw her give out the faintest Gummy smile. Kissing your Temple as he gave you thanks too.
It Had been Exactly and Hour. Jake was glad  That all seemed to have been going well. But not seeing or not even hearing anything coming from the pod. Well safe to say he’s been impatient. Had something happened to you?
“Welcome my dearest pain” You said, kissing her head as you could only admire her.
Tumblr media
“Be Calm Ma Jake”
“But what if”
Sushing Everyone turned to look at the pod. Tsireya in her Tsahik outfit smiling . In her arms a babe. Your Family is staring now. Eyes looking at the new addition to their Family clan. Ronal Held onto Tonowari’s arms as they too waited.
“Eywa Has Blessed us! My people welcome our newest warrior Nixty" Tsireya speaks proudly now presenting the babe to her people.
To say your family cried was an understatement. Neytiri watched in awe at her first granddaughter. Her little face scrunched up at the new light of the world and jumping a little as she suddenly heard all the cheers.
"We are uncles bro!" Lo'ak said now staring proudly at the new babe that he would bless as the new Olo'eyktan.
Neteyam laughed a little, staring at the little thing before agreeing. Kiri Jumping for Joy before hugging Spider. Elated were they.
“y/n is she?” Jake began looking at Tsireya for answer. Her smile never faltered.
“She did wonderful, She’s still with Ao’nung”
Jake nodded relieved that things had gone so smoothly. Now staring at his Granddaughter. He couldn’t believe it. Really there was so much he couldn’t believe.
“She looks just like Ao’nung” He smiled looking down at the human boy. He couldn’t believe it really. And now looking at his family he really couldn’t
“Real shame”
“Spider!” Kiri shouted gently, tapping at his head.
Jake couldn’t help but laugh however. Patting Spider on the head as he looked back at the babe. “Yeah real shame”
—-----------------------------------
“Nixty! Let go of Spider!” You yelled now pulling harshly at your toddler who was sinking her little fangs on Spider’s arm.
You had invited The family over. Decided that you wanted to see the family together again. All full of life.
It would be a While for your parents to get here. All four of them were probably making dishes to bring to dinner. Kiri, Rotxo and Spider being the first to arrive, And Given Spider’s odd look. Your poor friend had to suffer the little toddler.
“Ow. Damn bro She’s getting sharper teeth by the day” Spider said
You apologized profusely to him. Seeing as Rotxo took his arm and washing it with what water he had.
“Cmon wipe that off. Kid has rabies”
“My Daughter Doesn’t have Rabies Rotxo!” You heard Ao’nung say from your little kitchen.
“She’s your Daughter of course she has Rabies!”
Turning you saw Lo’ak Come in with Tsireya and Tuk. Tuk Greeting you before taking a hold of her niece. It amazed you how it didn't seem that long ago that you had Tuk’s eight birthday and now here she was holding onto your little one her bow left abandoned.
“Do not! Lo’ak” Tsireya said. Greeting you as well as she set her dish down with Kiri’s
You looked at her. She had been your greatest friend. Now looking at her stomach. The faintest of bump now showing. And you knew. No doubt everyone knew too.
You let her go ahead and sit now preparing the dishes as best you could. Now bumping shoulders with your mate, smiling at him. How perfect.
“Ah there she is!” you didn’t need to turn. No doubt your parents are coming in. Ao’nung turned to see his Parents and Ateyo coming in. Ronal picks up Nixty and kisses her cheek.
Your little one giggling and hissing at the sudden attack.
“Seems  the whole family is here” Tonowari let out a boisterous laugh.
Neteyam heading over to help with the bowls of food they had brought. Asking you where to place such a feast. And you just tell him to let you handle it.
The Whole Family was there. Tsireya and Kiri now coming to help you set up the portions on leaves and Rotxo now going to split the fruit that he and Spider had gathered.
Your Marui pod had never sounded so loud. And it was so nice to hear it this way. Asking Ao’nung to help serve as you could only carry so much before asking Tuk if she could Rangle your little one.
It took a bit but finally your whole family clan was set with dishes and a nice balance of meats and fruits. You're helping Nixty eat. Her little Face messy with the spices of the food. Ao’nung taking his cloth and whipping her face.
“This is nice” Ao’nung commented. Now cooing at your Daughter as if she was still a babe who could barely walk.
“It is nice My son. Any special occasion you have brought our family here?” Ronal said eating from the Omatikayan dishes. She hated to admit to it but the spices were really good.
“I thought it may be nice to have the family all together again. Without threat of Sky people” Ao’nung commented. Watching as his Daughter started playing with his brother.
“Yes that is nice isn’t it?” Jake spoke
“Good thing much sightings of Sky people have lessened over the years” Neytiri now spoke up. Keeping Tabs on her mother were great. It had seemed that for now things had settled down greatly.
“Yes how wonderful it is- Nixty! What have i said about leaving Spider alone!” You now yelled going to chase your toddler who was laughing giggling as she ran away from you.
Little Laughs fell on them. Spider looking at Rotxo and then at Kiri. “And then you two are all like i want one! Get a pet instead its the same thing”
“Oh Don’t mind her spider. She’s teething. And plus your more squishy” Kiri said poking his arm which was covered in little teething marks.
“Nixty! Behave yourself!” Ao’nung said jumping in and grabbing her. Picking her up as her little legs and arms wiggling and moving. “Let me go Dad!”
“You know better young lady now apologize”
 Biting down her hiss. As was usual with her little tantrums “Sorry uncle Spider”
Spider smiled, nodding and patting her head. “Its okay kiddo”
“I cant wait for our spirit brother’s and sister’s to return” Tsireya spoke up now. Her plate now empty as she often found herself so hungry now that she is with child.
“They should be arriving soon, I would hope!” You said hanging Nixty over to your mother. She is now playing with the little one.
How lovely was it. To have it all come together so perfectly. Your little one Playing with your mother. You looked at everyone in the pod. All laughing and talking in peace. It felt right. How perfect it was.
“Something on your mind my love?”
You turned to look at Ao’nung. Finally he looked strong, mighty as he did when you fell in love with him. No longer weak, no longer in danger. You smile at him and then looking at your little one.
“ I guess i am just happy”
“I am too”
“I cant wait to present Nixty to Umiri!”
“Hey maybe you and her can work something out to have our next bundle of joy”
“Ao’nung!” You slapped his hand off your naval. Now looking back at your family. What a precious bond, What a precious life this is.
Leaning yourself down to Ao’nung Resting with him, Your hearts beating together as one now resting on hand on your naval and looking at your family clans. Peace and love is all you could describe it as.
“Besides I think it may be just a little late for that” You spoke looking at your Three year old.
How perfect. How utterly perfect.

“Mother, wait!”
Your voice breaks out of the tense between Ronal and Neytiri. The crowd began to split and you walked between them. At a glance, you looked like the other Metkayina girl. But as soon as you walk, it is clear that you have several physical differences.
Your skin color is turquoise, but it appears lighter than the other. Instead of black, your long wavy hair is filled with dark brown, with the half top braided and the rest just hanging effortlessly. A dark green tattoo is located outside your outer eye and your forehead. Big dark blue pendant hanging between your collarbone, connected to your shell-like top, and a tiny pocket tied to your hips.
It is clear that you radiate a different aura from the other Metkayina. The clan has its eyes glued on your presence, and the Sully family is not an excuse.
Especially the oldest Sully son, Neteyam. He noticed directly that you are alluring and his heart fluttered at that moment. You smiled at the Sully family, and Jake greets you. His family followed him and you returned their greetings. You walk straight to your parents, Ronal and Tonowari.
“What is it, Y/N?” Your mom asked.
“Mom, I saw them, when I was praying to Eywa,”
“What did you see?”
“Their arrival. Besides, it’s the tradition to preserve uturu,”
“Are you sure?” Tsahik seems in disbelief.
“Never been so sure before,” You answered clearly, there was no doubt in your voice, and your eyes radiate honesty. As the first Olo’eyktan’s child, you have an important position in the clan and sure your words can’t be ignored.
Tsahik's eyes shifted to Olo’eyktan. They looked at each other and finally made a decision.
“The Sully family will stay with us. They will be like babies, so teach them the way of the ocean, to prevent them from being useless,”
A relieved feeling appear on Jake’s face, as he said “Thank you.”
Olo’eyktan continued his speech as he points at you, Aonung, and Tsireya.
“This is my children. Y/N, Ao’nung, and Tsireya. They will show your children what to do.”
Ao’nung confronted his father while Tsireya greeted the Sullys. You, however, still in your position, smiled at the Sully family as your gaze meet them one by one.
As the Sully family passes by, you look at your father and asked, “Dad, what about tomorrow’s plan? Will the celebration still be held?”
“Of course,” Tonowari answered and his body shifted into yours. “Tomorrow, you must spread the invitation to all the people. For today, prepared the equipment,”
“Okay, dad,” you replied, and went back to your pod.
As you walked, you can see that Sully family's arrival created a new atmosphere at Awa’atlu. Children began to approach Tuk, but their mom pull them back. The adults murmured, and many eyes observed the way forest Navi looks, especially with their dark blue skin and a small tail. You walk past those people and enter your pod.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Sully’s stick together,”
You can hear their voice, and as you want to enter Sully’s pod, you seek permission.
“Excuse me, am I bothering you? I want to deliver the news, from the Olo’eyktan,”
When you said that, six pairs of yellow eyes shifted their glance at you.
Jake said, “Not at all, Y/N. What is the news?”
“Tonight, we will have a celebration. A tradition, actually. And as you are all now part of Metkayina, so you all are invited. Olo’eyktan will be happy if you all come.”
“Of course, thank you for your invitation. My family and I will attend,” Jake replied with a smile on his face.
“Where is the location, of this celebration?” A deep voice breaks the silence. On the right side of Jake, it is Neteyam, the older son who is asking. He is the tallest child for sure, with long braided hair and a broad figure. His head tilted when he looked at you, like studying your expressions.
“At the Hope Cove. It's where we usually held a party. Also, there will be some traditions too. Our sacred tales. And you can taste our finest food.” You answered him with a slight smile, then he said thank you. You look at the rest of the family, but it seems like no one wants to speak again. So you take a step back.
“Okay, pardon me, I have to leave. There are still plenty of people to be told.” You smiled and wave to them goodbye as you leave their pod.
Jake then went with Neytiri, while Tuk and Kiri followed them. So it remained Lo’ak and Neteyam alone. Lo’ak then looked at his brother.
Several minutes ago, it is Neteyam who teased Lo’ak about how he must behave at this new home. But now he found Neteyam's eyes glued to you, how your body walks, your hair swings, and how you smile when you spread the news to other people. His gaze never left your figure. Lo’ak raised his eyebrow upon noticing his brother's new attitude.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That night, Hope Cave was filled with decorations. The celebrations started, and everybody sat in a circle, including the Sully family, who was trying to blend in with the locals. In the middle of the circle is the Olo’eyktan family. People chatted with each other. The Olo’eyktan himself, Tonowari, cleared his throat and then his voice echoed in the cave, silencing everyone.
“Tonight, we celebrate the birth of Y/N. My eldest daughter, a gift from Eywa to Metkayina. Years ago, when I and Ronal haven’t been blessed with children, we prayed to Eywa, seeking a way out to save an heir to this clan. Months passed, and the Great Mother finally showed us Her Greatness.
When our Tsahik is praying in her pod, suddenly a baby arose from the sea, a beautiful baby girl. Eywa gave her several physical differences, but I bear no mind. Her birth remarks a new hope and grace for Metkayina. As long as we have her, our clan is safe for sure. She is a miracle, the goddess incarnation, one that cares deeply for others!”
You walked in from behind the circle, and a blush appeared on your cheek. Your father always says the sweetest thing. Your body is decorated with beautiful jewels. Thousands of pairs of eyes looking at you while your feet stepped toward him, and he held your hand.
“Let’s pray for Eywa for the peace and prosperity She has bestowed upon our clan!”
Tsahik then stood up and sing a tune, a hymn of worship to Eywa. The crowd followed her, and the cave then slowly filled with a bioluminescent glow, shone from the dome and ground. The glow then faded away as the hymn stopped.
“This is amazing,” Lo’ak who is sitting next to Neteyam, chuckled in amazement.
“Yes,” Neteyam agreed.
“She is amazing, I think?” Lo’ak pointed with his eyes, to the person who Neteyam laid his eyes on. He couldn’t get his eyes off you, who is now sitting beside Olo’eyktan in the middle of the circle. Your brown hair seems to glow in the dark and radiates warmness, looks so different from another. Lo’ak smirked, he catches his brother looking at you, again.
“Seems like the mighty warrior has a crush on someone,”
“Lo’ak,” Neteyam warned in a deep tone. “Don’t tease me now,”
“Oh, I won’t. Besides, I agree with you. The girls here are gorgeous, bro,” Lo’ak whispered, and he then smiled at the other girl. Tsireya, the other chief’s daughter. She lowered her head, blushing shyly after seeing Lo’ak.
Neteyam rolled his eyes. His brother is such a rizz master.
Olo’eyktan raised his hands as he spoke again, continuing the traditions.
“Now, let my daughter bless us with the blessed water. Come, Y/N,”
You step forward, and you bring an antique bottle in your hand, filled with water that was blessed before by Tsahik. As usual, your job is to sprinkle the water on everyone's face, say their name, and a short prayer to Eywa. Starting from your family, then the rest of the clan. As now the Sullys are part of the clan, so you did the same to them, making a way toward them slowly.
“Bro, she’s coming. Get ready,” Lo’ak elbowed his brother.
“Ssh,” Neteyam mumbled.
You finally stand in front of the Sullys. Jake is the first, he says thank you, while Neytiri nodded in response. Neteyam is next, as he is the older child. He gulped nervously, feeling butterflies in his stomach. You stand in front of him, and he feels his legs weakened like turned into jelly.
“What is your name?” Your soft voice sounds like a melody to him.
“Neteyam,” He answered. His eyes sparkled when he look at you.
“Neteyam,” You repeat his name, then sprinkled the sacred water into his face and said the prayer. Neteyam wants to respond so badly, but his tongue like tied inside. Instead of thank you, he slipped out some gibberish sound. You raised your eyebrow, but then you chuckled. He shook his head helplessly and finally found his voice, “T-thank you, Y/N,”
Lo’ak instantly laughed but he covers his mouth when he saw Neytiri glare at him. But she can see that something is happening with Neteyam, and she shared a knowing look with Jake. Kiri rolled her eyes and Tuk seems smitten by you also. You smiled at Neteyam, then passes to bless the other siblings. Tuk is happy, she giggled when the water sprinkled into her face. When the ritual finished, you walked back to your father. Then Olo’eyktan declared, “Now it’s time for dancing and feast! Enjoy, everybody!”
The crowd stood up, and some of them walked in pairs, ready for dancing, as the music started to play. While the others approached the food served on top of the longleaf.
“Bro, what was that?” Now Lo’ak finally can laugh out loud, shooking his head in disbelief. Neteyam didn’t respond anything, his hand rubbed the back of his neck as he lowered his blushed face, feeling completely shy and idiot.
“You like her, don’t you?” Lo’ak asked him again.
“Stop it, skxawng,” his brother grumbled, but Lo’ak keep talking. “You know, you should ask her for a dance. Make a move, bro!” Lo’ak hand patted Neteyam's arm, trying to give him some courage. Then he saw Tsireya, and he approached her in a glance, talking with her, completely forgetting about his brother.
Neteyam shook his head, realizing how different is Lo’ak from himself. But a slight smile curled on his lips then. Maybe he can approach you and talk to you? His eyes trying to find you. But it’s hard, with all the people moving and talking.
Finally, he saw you, sitting on a rock alone. He walked to you, but then a man approached you first, his hands reaching yours. That man looks fine with toned body and tattoo around his arm, clearly one of the Metkayina’s warriors. You accepted his offer, and dance with him. Neteyam sighed. He waited for you to finish your dance with the man, but then another man also approached you again.
Neteyam frowned, he finally gets back to his family, while Kiri and Tuk are trying some food. He sat beside them, but sometimes he steal a glance in your direction. He feels so insecure inside. Who is he, thinking to be able to dance with the prettiest girl in Metkayina? He even couldn’t talk clearly to you. He is not a Metkayina warrior, he is just a newcomer. You’re out of his league. Maybe he has to bury his feeling inside.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Neteyam grumbled as he took a step outside his family’s pod. His lips are bleeding, and his elbow and knuckles are injured due to his previous fight with Ao’nung and his skxawng bunch. But the physical pain remains nothing to a thing deeper inside. He feels tired and exhausted.
Since he was born, there are so many things that he has to carry on his shoulder. He remembers he trained hard to be the future Oloyektan with his father, and then suddenly his family have to move to this reef clan. Neteyam feels puzzled when he left the forest, as he loves it dearly. He loves to hunt with his bow, climb the trees, and fly with his ikran.
Honestly, he finds the sea nauseating. Everything is so different, and he always prefers to ride an ikran rather than ilu or tsurak. Flying is his favorite thing to do, not swimming. But the sad truth is, being the oldest son, Neteyam must always put the other's needs above his. He always covers all his feeling deep inside. Kiri and Tuk already showed some dislike for the sea and Neteyam could not burden his parents by showing that he hates the sea too. Lo’ak always makes trouble, and it frustrated him.
Metkayina people are always either judging, mocking, or bullying his family. Neteyam walked fast between the villages, his shoulder is tense and there is a crease on his forehead. People looked at him but he didn’t pay any attention. He keeps walking until reaches the end of the Awa’atlu village. It is a beautiful coast actually, with the sun meeting the sea and palm tree leaves waves. But Neteyam’s mood is still ruined, and he shoves a stone into the sea in anger.
“Ow!” The stone hit somebody who is swimming down the sea, and Neteyam began to panic. He dipped his feet into the water and reached the sound. You emerged from the water right in front of him, with an annoyed face and your hand rubbing the back of your head.
Neteyam's eyes widened, he never thought that he will hit you, his crush. Actually, the only thing about the reef people that he finds amusing is you, but with you busy with Tsahik training with Ronal makes he rarely sees you. To meet you in this condition is kinda embarrassing for him.
“I’m sorry, Y/N. I shoved the stone recklessly, and I don’t know you were swimming down there. Is it hurt?” Neteyam asked softly and came to you.
You scowled and sighed. “Luckily for you, the stone didn't hit my head directly. It just went through the back of my head.”
“Let me check your head,” Neteyam walked passes you, and now he is behind you. He places his hand gently at the back of your head then he sighed in relief. “There is no injury,”
“Yes,” You responded, and turn around, now facing Neteyam.
You are not annoyed anymore. Honestly, you were quite touched by how responsible and gentle he was. You can feel that he completely feels sorry. Then your eyes saw his lips, the bleed was still there. Also, his elbow and knuckles are wounded.
“Actually, it is you that injured. What happened?” Your brow furrowed at the sight of the blood on his lips and you held his fingers closely, examining the wound at his knuckles.
Neteyam pulled his fingers from yours as he spoke, “It’s okay. Nothing to worry about,”
“Neteyam, I am tsakarem, Tsahik in training, a healer. I will clean and take care of your wound,” you replied.
“No, truly. I will take care of myself,” Neteyam wears a slight smile on his face.
You shook your head. “No. A healer doesn't leave without healing an injured person. Come with me.”
Your hand grips his fingers tightly. Neteyam couldn’t move at your action, so he followed you to the beach and you both sit facing each other. You began to wash the wound on his knuckles and elbow, and put some paste on it. The paste is always there, inside a little pocket hanging on your waist. And for Neteyam’s lips, you washed them with a small cloth. Then you pat the cloth gently to get rid of the blood.
Without your knowledge, Neteyam feels very nervous yet happy, very different from the moments before when he was angry. Now here is he, sitting at the beach with you taking care of his wounds. His eyes follow your movement, as they can’t hide the admiration he feels for you. Relax man, he whispers to himself.
“Done,” You finished your job, but you are still curious. “So, how did you get hurt?”
Neteyam cleared his throat. If he tells you the truth, will you believe him? Especially about Ao’nung behavior. “It’s nothing. I slipped on the edge of slippery rock,”
You chuckled. “Don’t lie to me. This kind of wound is caused by either fighting or collision.”
Neteyam sighed in defeat. “Sorry. Actually, I was fighting with some Metkayina boys. They mocked Kiri. I tried to break them up, but Lo’ak is still angry so he punched the boys.” He shrugs. “So I don't have any other chance than to join the fight. Until my father came,”
You realize that he didn’t mention the doer. “Who were the boys?”
He looked at you as he try to gather all the courage inside him. He wants to lie, knowing that you are Ao’nung’s older sister and he doesn’t want to make the conditions worsened. It's already worse with Lo’ak attacked on Ao’nung.
But when he saw your eyes, he couldn't do anything. It's like all his strength weakened when he saw your light blue eyes, similar to the ocean. He knows it's not wise to leave himself so open, but he is hopeless anyway. Finally, he began to talk, “Ao’nung, and some of his friends. But I didn’t know all their name.”
You took a deep breath. “It’s okay. Ao’nung could be reckless sometimes. I’m sorry for his bad behavior,”
“I’m sorry for Lo’ak’s behavior too. He gets angry easily,”  Neteyam reciprocated.
Unexpectedly to him, you laughed. The confusion spread on his face as you talked, “Look at us. Older siblings always have to take the blame. You know, Ao’nung is such a mischievous boy. He once took all the strings and needles from my mom’s room, as he want to make a necklace. Then he created a necklace similar to mine and put it on my mom’s table along with the stuff he stole before, so she thought it was me who was guilty. She scolded me, but Eywa blessed me as Ao’nung’s short hair was left in the needle. Then he gets his punishment, not to touch strings and needles for a month.”
Neteyam rejoiced and was no longer nervous, he laughed at your story. “Similar to mine. Lo’ak want to go in the middle of war while we were instructed just to be a spotter above. I took the blame, but my dad still banned him from flying on his ikran. Poor Lo’ak, he cried almost every night,”
You giggled. “Our brothers are stupid, yes. But I think we will still love them, are we?”
“Yes,” Neteyem nodded. A warm feeling entered his chest. Moments ago, he feel that no one will ever relate to his condition. But now he found someone who is sharing the same burden, at least to one similar condition, older siblings who always have to put an eye on their reckless younger brother. His lips curled in a smile, he was no longer feeling pain.
“By the way. I want to cook some meals. Would you care to join me? You must be hungry after fighting” You offered him.
Neteyam shook his head. But then a growling sound came from his stomach. You burst into a laugh again, “You are hungry indeed,” and Neteyam accepted your invitation, with a sheepish smile on his face.
It seems that Eywa always makes him look embarrassed in front of you. Or, maybe this is his destiny indeed? Neteyam thought that as you both went to your pod.
You entered your pod. It was small but cozy, connected with a larger pod on the right, your family pod, the largest in the village, consisting of all the Tsahik and Oloyektan pieces of equipment.
But your own is filled with your belongings only, some healer's stuff, a bed, and a small kitchen. Neteyam also notices a bottle full of gold liquid, sealed in a box, which looks like it’s important stuff. You see his face filled with curiosity when he saw the bottles, so you approached him.
“It’s our sacred water, called tsarki. Very powerful, it can heal any person whatever their conditions are. It’s very rare to get, and my mother always reminds me to use it in a crucial moments only. So, I keep it safe in my box,” you explained to him, as he nodded.
You went to the kitchen as he sat on the carpet. You bring the food, the grilled fish. Both of you eat, and he praises your cooking. After eating, suddenly a woman appears in your pod, with a baby in her arms. Panic can be seen on her face.
“Y/N, can you help me? My son, Ihaka, is ill. He has trouble breathing. I tried to go to Tsahik, but Olo’eyktan said that she is still on the ocean, and ordered me to go to you instead,”
“Of course,” you smiled, trying to calm her, as you carried the baby, “Let me see him,”
At a glance, Ihaka seems like a normal baby, but if you observe the way he is breathing, it’s clear that he has a problem there. You lay down Ihaka and took some massage oil. You start to massage his upper body, with your hands on his shoulders, making gentle strokes towards his chest. He is still coughing, but the pain seemed to have lessened. You bring him close to your chest. His eyes finally closed in sleep, and you put him again on the bed.
“There he is,” you smiled at his mother, and continue your words, “I’ll give you some potions, and he must drink it every day, to help cure his problem,” His mother nodded in pleasure. But when you step towards your medicine stuff, Ihaka is awake again. You reach him again, but Neteyam asked, “Can I help? I know some tricks to keep baby asleep,”
Ihaka’s mother seems hesitant, but you were curious. You nodded and give him permission. Neteyam carried Ihaka's tiny body in his arms, as his hands caress his cheek gently. Neteyam then sang a song, that seems like a lullaby tune. He sang it slowly, brushing the hair on Ihaka's forehead and gently swinging him. You never heard the lullaby before, but it seems to work on Ihaka. He closed his eyes again, sleeping soundly, even snoring softly.
You raised your eyebrow, “Seems like you are an expert with babies,”
Neteyam grinned, as he speak in a low voice, avoiding waking Ihaka, “I have 3 siblings, what do you expect?” then he put Ihaka back again on his mother’s arm. You gave her Ihaka’s medicines, and she expresses her gratitude by saying lots of thank you, bowed for you and Neteyam, and leaving your pod.
“It was beautiful, the lullaby you sang before,” you now speak to Neteyam, as a new feeling crawls inside you, impressed by him.
Neteyam chuckled, “My mom always sings that song when she put her children to sleep. As I’m the oldest, she taught me a lot about handling babies, so I can help her just in case,”
“That’s very nice,” you replied. “You’re a good big bro for sure,”
Neteyam blushed hearing your compliments, feels like he is on cloud nine. He couldn’t believe that his crush is saying sweet things to him! He couldn’t stop smiling when he walked back home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tomorrow, he came again to your pod. You both are sitting face to face. It is afternoon time, the sun shone lazily and the wind blows gently into your room, making your room curtains made of seashells rub against each other and create a melodious sound.
"Tell me a story about your parents," You asked Neteyam, as you grip his hands. You spend this day with Neteyam listening to your story about how your day went with the Tsahik training. So in exchange, you want him to tell the stories about his people.
Neteyam quirked his eyebrow.
"My parents? The Toruk Makto thing? I think you already know it,"
You rolled your eyes. He noticed a few of your hair strands fell on your face as you did that.
"Not the Toruk Makto stuff. Tell me their story far before it, right from when your dad visited Pandora for the first time."
"Ow." Neteyam realized as he questioned, "You sure? It's quite a long story,"
You nodded, and then he started talking again.
"When I was still a kid, my family always gathered in our hammock and embraced each other. I remember my mom telling a story about when she first met my father. He is still a dream walker, spending his last hour trying to run away from thanator with his shirt ripped, and a few scratches on his body.
On the opposite, mom is ready to shoot him with her arrow. Nevertheless, a sign of Atokirina landing at her bow prevented her. Later, when he is attacked by viper-wolfes, mom saved him, although she is still displeased with his presence. But father said that it’s love at the first sight," Neteyam stopped, a big grin created on his face. "Such a dad joke. Little does he know, that Eywa destined them to be together, right from their first meeting."
And so, Neteyam tells the whole story of the dynamics of his parent's relationship, which seems like enemies to lovers' journey. Jake faces many difficulties and choices, which side is he on? But sure Eywa gave her a path, as Jake decided to lead the war against RDA, and return with victory. In the end, Jake is converted into his Navi body and started a family with Neytiri, the woman that he truly loves.
You sighed. "It's a beautiful story."
"Thank you," Neteyam responded. "I always think that my dad is a lover, he is willing to risk everything to be with my mom. While my mom is a fighter, she fought against his parent's view to be with him, and also fight to protect the clan,"
"No," You cut him. He seems confused, and then you spoke again. "You can't separate a lover and a fighter. If you're a lover, you have to be a fighter. Because if you don't fight for your love, what kind of love do you have?"
Neteyam doesn't say a word in response, but you feel his eyes fixated on yours. As you tilt your head and try to question him, you realized that his eyes are shining, with a yellow and green glow with a gentle look. You can't help yourself as you drown in his eyes and keep staring back at him, as he gives you a smile.
"You're right." Finally, he breaks the silence, but his gaze still fell on your face as he spoke again. "A lover must fight for who they love."

Soft as Clouds
Neteyam x F!Reader
Summary: You weren't well known in the clan, and when you become friends with Tuk, no one believes her.
Warning: Straight up Flufff
Tumblr media
When you were growing up, you found yourself wanting to linger in the background more than insert yourself into the everyday activities of those your age. Like now, you were currently lounging in a tree, eyes facing up at the clouds as they moved by at their own pace.
You were a gatherer for the clan, not that anyone knew. You would rise before the sun to go out and gather the sweetest, most bountiful food your clan had ever tasted, leaving it in the baskets by the main fire circle. The fruits were always plump and juicy, herbs and spices nicely placed in pouches for easy access.
You wanted to begin early to end early, opting to stay out of sight of others. Now, some knew of you, the elders for example always took a small notice on how you were much more reserved than others your age. Your parents of course knew you, but you were a failure of a child in their eyes. At your age you should've been chosen for a mate, or made a mark on the clan in some positive way, but you didn't, so they turned their attention to your more 'promising' younger siblings.
You never cared, preferring your more modest lifestyle of peaceful serenity.
"Whoa! What are you doing up there?"
But Great Mother had other plans for you.
You gazed over the side of the branch you were currently laying on, brushing your hair that had fallen into your eyes away, spotting a young girl in the forest floor below you.
This was not just any girl, oh no, this was Tuktirey, Toruk Maktos youngest child.
You let a small smile slip on your face as you slowly began a decent, swift and agile, like that of a cat.
You knelt infront of her, your eyes meeting hers that were still so full of child like wonder, "what are you doing here small one?" Tuk giggled, looking side to side as if looking for something, or someone.
"I was following my brothers, but I guess I got lost," Extending a hand to Tuk, "Well, let us get you home then," her small fingers wrapped around yours and you both began your walk, going back down the path you had made from the times you ventured out here.
Tuk couldn't help but wonder why she had never seen you before, yet she thought you were very beautiful. The aura that surrounded you was so soft and peaceful, it made her feel instantly safe.
"Why do you come out here, it's very far from home? Are you a hunter or a gatherer? Your hair is very pretty, can you do mine like that? Wait! What's your name?" Tuk rambled out, skipping beside you. A chuckle escaped your lips, you liked Tuk, she was very silly.
You stopped and knelt down beside her, her yellow eyes stared into your soft green eyes and she couldn't help but think you held the forest in your eyes, "My name is (Y/n), I much prefer to gather, and I think your hair is fine just the way it is, simply because it's yours,"
You couldn't help but boop her nose, her nose scrunched as she let out a laugh. You smiled, "now, what is your name?" Tuk felt like you already knew, but she puffed out her chest proud, "My name is Tuktirey, but you can call me Tuk!"
"Such a pretty name," you gasped, standing up and resuming your walk to the village. Tuk swung your intertwined hands back and forth, both of you finding comfort in eachother.
When you had finally happened upon the village, you could hear everyone in a state of panic. Tuk groaned, her ears pinned back, "I think they realized I was gone," you knelt beside her, both of you hidden just out of sight with the plants, "then maybe you should appear,"
Tuk hugged you, you wrapped your arms around her to return the embrace. "Will I see you again?" She asked, pulling away enough to see your face.
"Of course, I quite like you," you smiled, slowly giving her a nudge to the panicked clan members.
When Tuk had emerged out of the brush, the panicked cries turned into one's of relief and joy. Many ran over to embrace her, but by this point you had already vanished without a trace.
"Tuk! Where were you, we were worried sick!" Jake exclaimed, sweeping his youngest into his arms and giving her a extra tight hug. "I tried to follow Neteyam and Lo'ak but I got lost, but it's okay!" Tuk laughed, "I found (Y/n) and she helped me get home!"
Jake and Neytiri exchanged a look, as did some of the other clan members. Your name was no familiar, almost positive there was no one in the village who has that name.
"Tuk, what are you talking about?" Neytiri wondered, taking her child from her mate and settling her on the ground in front of her, "There is no one named (Y/n) in the village," Neytiri began to examine Tuk for a head injury, but Tuk pulled her head away in annoyance, "I know what happened, (Y/n) helped me, she's right,"
But when Tuk turned around to where you had been, you were gone, "she was right here," Tuk cried, but her parents chalked it up to fatigue from being lost all day.
"Come, you must eat and rest," Neytiri pulled Tuk along by the hand, which Tuk did almost sulkly, glancing back one more time to see you emerge and give her a wink before disappearing behind everyone's backs. Tuk grinned, now happily walking with her Mom.
~.~
Weeks had passed and Tuk now snuck off any chance she had to find you, sometimes waking up early to join you on your gathering. You were like another big sister to her, you were so soft and gentle with her, it almost reminded her of her own mother. You would show her the best places to gather fruit and herbs, show her how to move silently through the forest so not to disturb it.
In return, Tuk gave you simple companionship. You always thought it was fun being alone, but Tuk gave you a shining light of what having someone around could be like.
When Tuk would return from wherever you two had disappeared to, she would tell her family all about it, now causing Jake and Neytiri to worry that she was making up stories to make herself feel important like her siblings.
"Ma Jake, I'm beginning to worry about Tuk," Neytiri spoke one day when she watched her youngest venture off into the brush before she could stop her, "it is not safe out there but yet she continues to go, we must stop her," Jake could only hum in agreement.
"What's the name of the person she speaks of? (Y/n)? Are we sure she's not a person in the clan?" Jake questioned, Neytiri feeling her shoulders sag in exhaustion cause she had asked any gatherer, hunter or healer she could think of and no one knew about you.
"Maybe we should send Neteyam with her one day? Make sure she's really safe? See what he can find out?" Neytiri fired off question after question, Jake taking her hands into his as he calmed her down, "That's sounds like a great idea, if there's anyone who can find out it's him, come, let's find him,"
They both set off to find their eldest, who they were sure was going to throw a fit hearing about their plan.
~.~
Tuk panted, running up to a clearing where she saw you relaxing by a small pond, toes and feet floating in the clear water. "I'm here! What are we going to do today?" Tuk skipped over, taking a seat next to you as your turned your gaze to her, a smile coating your face.
"What would you like to do?" You asked, Tuks face scrunched up in thought before asking you, "Could we go for a swim next to the waterfall?" You thought about it, before nodding. It was very close to the village, but you were looking forward to spending time with Tuk.
"Awesome!" She cheered, pulling you up off the ground and began the walk, with you giggling behind her.
The water had been very liberating of any stress or thoughts that plagued you. You sighed in bliss, leaning back to float in the water as your eyes gazed up at the clouds, the soft white making you forget everything.
Tuk had jumped in, splashing you and causing a laugh to erupt from your stomach as you flipped over, watching the young girl giggle and continue to splash you with water.
You began a water assault back, both of you not even paying attention to how loud you were being which caught the attention of Neteyam nearby who had been searching for Tuk under the instructions of their parents.
"Tuk!" He called, walking into the rocky terrain that held the waterfall where he saw Tuk soaked and wading waist deep in the water, her breath heavy as though she ran for miles, yet a smile plastered her lips.
You were no where to be seen, ducking under the water to find a rock that had caught your eye.
"Tuk, it's time to come home, let's go," he helped her out of the water, not noticing you surface up to your shoulders in the shade of a tree that grew on the nearby bank.
Your hair had rested on your face a little and your shoulders, the shade making your eyes almost glow as you analyzed Neteyam. He was your age, currently training to be the next clan leader and yet here he was, fetching his sister.
Tuk through a glance over her shoulder to see you in the shade, throwing up a quick wave goodbye and taking off in front of her brother.
Neteyam had caught her look and couldn't help but turn back, catching a quick sight of you.
A beautiful, young woman who was lounging in the water covered by shade. Your eyes are what caught his attention the most, but just as quick as he'd seen you, the next second he blinked in shock before opening them to find you gone, the water only rippling from where he saw you, well, where he thought he saw you.
Neteyam was now becoming a quick believer of Tuk's stories.
~.~
Now that Neteyam had caught a glimpse of you, he started to see you everywhere. Although, it was out of the corner of his eyes, because when he would turn to see you, your figure was gone, the place he had seen you now empty or void of anyone or anything.
He had told his parents that he didn't see anyone with Tuk, but that was only because he feared how crazy he would sound. Seeing someone who wasn't entirely there and then them being gone the next second. They'd send him straight to the Sky People for evaluation.
Neteyam had followed Tuk out of the hut one late afternoon, Tuk turning to him confused since he has never followed her before, "What are you doing?" Neteyam just smiled, playing an act to follow his parents instructions, "Well, I've missed hanging out with my favorite littlest sister," he roughed up Tuks hair, causing her to hiss and push his hand away, "so I figured we could spend the rest of the day together,"
Tuk glanced sideways towards the path, a bit unsure about how you'd reac to Neteyam coming along, "I don't know, you probably wouldn't be up for it," Neteyam raised an eyebrow, his thoughts consumed on what a child would be doing that he himself couldn't or wouldn't wanna do, especially so late in the afternoon.
"Well, if you're sure," Tuk grinned, taking off down the path faster than Neteyam had expected, "Tuk! Wait for me!"
~.~
You had been lounging in a tree again, this time basking in the setting sun's glow. You felt so warm, the lights rays bringing a sense of belonging to your being.
"(Y/n)!" Tuk exclaimed, running into sight as you glanced down at her, your lips showing your usual soft smile that you saved for her.
"Neteyam is following me, come on let's hurry!" Tuk tried to rush you, but you only laughed, "Why are we hiding from your brother?" Tuk felt her cheeks puff up in annoyance, "Come on (Y/n)! I don't want him to find you!" It wasn't often Tuk would throw a childish fit with you, so you knew this must be important to her.
You quickly climbed down, taking her hand and pulling her out of sight just in time for Neteyam to come around the corner. He stopped and took a quick look around, running a hand through his braids aggravated. "Come on Tuk! Mom and Dad don't want you out here by yourself,"
Neteyam continued on through, running right past where you two hid in a flower bush before emerging a minute after he disappeared.
Tuk laughed but quickly stopped when she saw your disappointed face, "I'm sorry," she mumbled, kicking the dirt with her ears pinned down.
"Let's walk and talk," you took her by the shoulder softly, "Is there a reason you keep running away from your family? I understand you want to be friends, but surely I'm not worth worrying your family over?"
You led her down a path as Eclipse began to set in, the forest coming to life with lights and sounds. "Well, I thought you might want to be kept alone, like how you were before we became friends," Tuk answered, but you knew better, "but?" You pushed, Tuk groaning before replying.
"Well, Neteyam has his hunting parties and future clan leader responsibilities, Kiri has healing and grandma, Lo'ak and Spuder go on treks through the forest, I just wanted something that was mine for a while," while a bit childish, you could see what she meant. It was nice to have something all your own, even if it wasn't necessarily yours to keep or own.
Tuk kept her eyes trained on the ground in front of her, hands rubbing together embarrassed. Tuk thought that you would be upset with her, but she was shocked when she felt your hand rub soothing circles on her back as you continued to walk together.
"Do not feel bad, sometimes we wish for things that cannot always be, but if it makes you feel better, you will always be my first and best friend," Tuk felt giddy knowing that you felt the same as she did. You truly were a big sister to her.
"I think it's time we returned for the night," you told her, Tuk nodded, feeling a little tired. "Come," you picked her up, her arms wrapped around your neck and head rested on her shoulder.
You smelled of flowers and mist, a calming scent that soon had Tuk drift off to sleep. Which means she couldn't return to her parents on her own, meaning you had to face the leaders of the clan.
Entering the village, you took notice that many had already gone to dinner, leaving a clear path straight to the leaders tent, where you could hear inside Jake Sully, the Olo'eyktan and Neytri, his mate and Tuks mother frantically asking Neteyam where Tuk was.
You held Tuk up with one arm, softly clearing your throat to make your presence known as you lift the drape, all three coming to a freeze as they saw you, a stranger, with Tuk fast asleep in your arms.
You dipped your head in greeting, eyes over looking the two males and straight to the female who quickly walked to you with fear and concern for her baby. "She is alright, just sleeping," you whispered, not wanting to wake up Tuk as Neytiri gently slipped her from you.
Neytiri nodded a head in thanks, though her eyes held confusion. Your eyes slipped over Jake Sullys form, a small gesture of hello from another head nod before you allowed your eyes to stay trained on Neteyams shocked yellow.
'She is real,' is all Neteyam could think as you both played a stare game, you breaking it off with a soft smile before disappearing. He found the sudden ability to move, dashing to the drape only to pull it back and find you gone, like a phantom.
"I think, that's (Y/n)" Jake mumbled, his mind wracking to find any sense of familiarity of you, but found none. Neytiri felt a small rumble from Tuk, glancing down at the small girl to find her awake and giggling softly, "Told you she was real,"
~.~
Neteyam couldn't get you out of his head, now actively looking for you, but you weren't anywhere to be found. Tuk had told him all about you, and this time he listened, but she wouldn't tell him where you go.
"(Y/n) doesn't like to be sought after, you can only find her when she wants you to find her," Tuk laughed like it was the most simplest thing in the world, but it just made Neteyam frustrated.
He knew so little about you but felt a strange need to be near you, hear your soft voice again and find out more. Call it a crush, infatuation or even obsession, he just wanted to see you again, even if for a last time.
It was only when he took a stroll through the brush on a warm afternoon, that he found you. Only you were laying patch off soft moss, eye shut as you looked at piece with the world.
The world itself seemed to be happening around you, each breath you took was like a breeze from Eywa herself. Insects and small animals passed you by, as if you were just one with them.
Neteyam had approached you slowly, footsteps light as he observed your face. It was beautiful in his eyes, your soft lashes caressing your cheeks, lips parted ever so slightly with each breath you took in. Your hair seemed to flow around you in the vast green foliage.
He was too lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice you open your eyes and look back at him. Your green eyes traced his features as well, taking in the rough yet handsome face he was gifted with. He truly was his mother's child.
When he saw your green eyes staring back at him, he fell back from his squat in shock. You softly hummed, a smile so small but just for him.
"What are you looking at?" He coughed, his face feeling warm from your stare.
You sat up slowly, his eyes glancing at how your body was bending, hair falling over your cheeks to frame your face.
Eywa help his sinful thoughts.
"Oh you know," you drawled, "The clouds,"

Runaway {Part 14}
Tumblr media
Runaway Masterlist
DNI/BYF
Synopsis: It seems all that praying has worked. Everything is alright
Warm. That's what he felt and it was a good type of warmth. It had been so long since he’s felt this way. And it was honestly welcomed.
It was like a nice dream. A nice illusion and yet he knew it was never his to begin with.
He felt your breath, the beat of your heart and then he felt that warmth that was no doubt your babe. Sure he would never be able to feel it the way you do. He would never know the feeling but this was close enough.
He felt you with him and he was almost sure you could feel him too.
He felt you breathe, he felt you dream, felt your babe and felt your heart. But he felt no pain. He felt nothing wrong
So in his thoughts and in his heart he called to you. Awaiting any sign from you that if you were still there. You’d give him something back.
He waited. And waited, counting the seconds as he hoped.
And there it is, there’s that feeling in his heart. You called him. You felt him and you replied.
And he kept calling again, and again. And you kept calling back.
Be still his heart when he wishes to hold and hear you again, Be still his mind as he can only think of you. By the mind of his great desires there you were again.
‘Please awaken with me’
He thinks out loud feeling his heart race.
‘I promise to kiss you as soon as you wake’
‘I promise to always protect you two’
‘I promise to fight for us if you ever are so kind to wake up for me’
‘Please its all i ask’
He got nothing back. But he felt the pang at his heart double. He felt you, felt that aching feeling of loss.
And as he predicted he woke up from his slumber. No longer feeling you. His mother is now staring down at him. Glaring daggers as she hissed at him. “Are you an ignorant boy?”
“Mother” he tried to reason. Both your Queues in her hands.
“I pray for the resilience to not twist a knot in your tail”
“I was doing fine”
“You do not know what she’s ill with! I know she is your mate as are you but”
A stir. The groan and then followed by your voice “Ma Ao’nung”
It felt like he had died. The gentle tune of the beat of your voice. To hear you. To see you stir awake. Both of their attention to you.
You gulped. The dryness in your mouth was unwelcomed. You felt like a ton of rocks had fallen on you before you could even open your eyes.
Ao’nung and Ronal. Both eyes staring deep into your soul.
“Ma Eywa thank you thank you thank you!” You heard Ronal pray and then felt Ao’nung throw himself at you. Making you cough at the roughness.
“Ao’nung! Careful with her. Go quickly Fetch Jakesully”
“But”
“Go!”
He didn’t argue seeing your figure before taking off.
You sat there now staring into her eyes. That same fear you felt a long time ago now in the back of your throat. You looked at her and she at you. Her eyes filled with tears, with a relief only she would know.
“Thank you Ma Eywa” She whispered, wrapping her arms around you.
You were confused. Startled at feeling her gently hug you. “Tsahik?”
“I am beyond words happy as you have awoken child”
“But. I thought”
“Do not. I was..I was wrong” It hurt her pride really. But she’s had years to Admit to it now. “I am so sorry”
Feeling her hug you. It felt. Right but also wrong and then it hit you that you had something in between the two of you. You looked down. Your now very prominent belly showing and it took you a while to remember that you had wanted to tell Ao’nung that you were expecting. You couldn’t help but smile however to know that you hadn’t lost this blessing. Hearing the door to the room open and then being manhandled to the arms of your father and mother.
“Oh Y/n! Oh my sweet child!” your mother said through tears as all she could do was hold you alongside jake. Your eyes looking ahead at your siblings who couldn’t believe it. You opened your arms as best as you could before they all went ahead and came around you to hug you.
“Hey everyone!” You said chuckling as you could only do that. “You all act like i died”
“Just happy to see you baby girl” your father said, making you laugh a little. You couldn’t help it but you let out a purr.
“Don't worry sempul A bullet hadn’t killed me and neither is anything else”
“I dont think this is the time for jokes” You heard Lo’ak say besides you but you couldn’t help but laugh.
Turning to look at the only person in the doorway. Was your mate. Staring at you as if blinking would cause you to disappear. Your tail wagging a little subconsciously as you continued to stare. And it wasn’t long until you two were left alone.
You had been safe, vitals checked out and it was all good though you still had to stay for one more night. Which you didn’t mind.
Face to face. Staring at you, before you opened your arms and let him tackle you. Your arms wrapping around him. Finally together finally full.
His sobs broke your heart and you felt so absolutely horrible for letting him wait for you to wake up. His trembling form now holding onto you and it felt like holding a small child. You continued to shush him. Telling him it was all alright. That it will be okay.
“Ma Y/n! I cant believe you’re really awake”
“I am my love”
“It felts like it has been a lifetime since i seen or heard you. Felt you and it feels likes is some sick dream you have it all come true. No greater pain has known my heart since the day you gone my dearest heart”
Hearing those words again felt so utterly heartbreaking and yet made your heart soar.
“Be still my Ao’nung it’s alright. We are alright”
And you let him cry. Let him continue to sob in your arms as all you could do was reassure him that things would be alright. That things would be okay.
Tumblr media
By morning. You were let go. And that left the Question
Where exactly would you be staying? And that was the puzzling problem for the rest of your Family.
You two were mated. No longer kids that had to share a pod with your family. And yes Given other circumstances you would have a pod next to Ao’nung’s family. But being away for so long you wanted something more secluded?
There really was no pod the same distance apart from your parents that was unoccupied. Given that Lo’ak and Ao’nung had to talk about who of them would be okay to take up the role of Olo’eyktan You really didn't have an option on either taking the pod next to the Leaders of the clan. Least not yet.
So there was a big dilemma.
“Ao’nung really We should take that pod. And if Lo’ak does decide to take the role with you agreeing.  We can then move”
“Ma Y/n Really its no problem We can probably have a pod closer inland.
“I think your being stubborn”
“I'm stubborn?”
“Oh for. You both are stubborn” Neteyam butt in as he had been hearing this conversation go on for an hour too long. “Look just take the pod. Im sure either way after its decided you two or whoever it is can make a pod how you like it if the conditions are right”
You couldn’t believe how easily Ao’nung settled for that. And now here you are moving a few things from your old home. Well Lo’ak and Neteyam had gone and found it.
It was a little bittersweet to see all the things you had made from scratch. “Im a little Homesick i’ll admit” You said out loud to the rest of the family who was helping organize the place.
“Yeah? What do you miss?” Asked Ao’nung
“I guess i miss the trees? I miss sleeping up near the sky and being able to see the bottom of the lake. Which by the way we never did go see what was in that cave” You admitted moving what you could to make things more homely.
“Oh i guess not”
“It’s alright. Its nice to have you not look like a dried fish”
“Oh gee, Thanks”
Ronal couldn’t help but let out a small laugh. It was nice to hear and see her son again. But it was nice to see this. And in some way it reminded her of her love with Tonowari. Looking at them and your growing bump. She knew everything would be alright.

Tumblr media
Warnings: Obv birth, Some tear kinda gore? Graphic for sure.
Ao'nung (22) Reader (21)
Thank you for the request Anon! Sorry it took me a while since i dont typically write Smut i tried making it up with it some more with the rest of the story (Also i was lowkey coughing up my lungs so excuse my tardiness i hope this was okay!)
Finally. was all you can think about as you felt the stinging pain of the tattoo now being painted over your skin. Sure You dint really need to do this Given your darker complexion and the fact that well you weren't really metkayina well... But that didn't matter. You had stated this is what you wanted for you. For him.
"Almost done don't worry"
Truth be told this was only one Tattoo of many you were sure to have. One of your spirit sister, No doubt later came the mate tattoo.
Just the thought sent shivers down your spine. You had never thought this would happen. That you would be Mated to Ao'nung. Truly no you didn't see this coming.
Had you told yourself when you arrived and hated the poor man's guts. Well You'd probably ask you to drown. However now it was different. He had changed along side you.
Tumblr media
"How gorgeous you are"
"Oh stop that i just came to show you" You said slapping his hand off of your hip. No doubt some time later you'd see your spirit sister with one too.
"And yet you take my breath away anytime i see you"
"Oh hush. Do you like it or not?" You asked moving your loincloth just a little bit more to show him fully the full thing.
Feeling his hand stroke your inner thigh and beginning to whisper in your ear. "I do"
"Stop that" You spoke slapping his hand feeling the other now rest on your back and pull you into him.
Now you were not much shorter than him. Not by a lot but right now you felt so utterly small, and in a good way too. Feeling him rub against you, the loincloth now rubbing right above your own.
"Ao'nung stop we cant stop once we start"
"Who said i want to stop" He whispered again now pushing you two down at full force. Him atop you feeling you and you in turn him.
It honestly felt like a bunch of little things were crawling on you with the excitement that you felt.
You two never done anything more than hug or kiss. Never taking it too far. You two knew better than doing anything before mating. But maybe it was time to try something new.
"Ao'nung seriously! Your mother and my father will kill us if we do anything right now"
"Its a good thing your worth it then" He spoke. Kissing your neck and lowering dangerously. Feeling his hand messing with your top.
Jake was a very strict father, It was a blessing he even gave Ao'nung the blessing of courting you. But if this went on any more you were sure you'd lose your mate before he even officially became your mate.
You may as well go out together, you thought now pulling him closer to you. You were thankful that right now it was well past eclipse and no doubt everyone was asleep. So if anyone were to see anything, well it was really their fault.
"It seems even you want this my love"
"Oh shut up"
Almost like messy teens trying to get something from each other. You two messed around with the knot of each other's loincloth. before Finally being expose to one another.
You couldn't help but avade looking at him. Before he placed a hand on your cheek making you turn to him. "Look at me my dear"
Taking in a gulp the air now thick with a tension you had only ever heard of. Looking at him fully. His tattoo on his shoulder wrapping around to his back and little over his peck.
"No need to hide now, dont you think"
You smiled letting him feel you. And you in turn touching him.
"May i ?" He asked looking down to your core. If you weren't high on the emotions you were sure you would have slapped him away to not look. But right now you didn't care.
You chuckled now going to sit at his lap. You wetting him and him in turn causing a friction you so desperately wanted right now. Kissing him. So desperate and yet so gentle.
Both your breathes becoming labored as you smelled each other. Kissing his head and then his collarbone before looking into his eyes.
"Take me as you see me"
He took in a gulp. Feeling you. Seeing you and tasting you. It was all he ever had dreamed of.
And with a prayer on his lips he guided himself to your core. The feeling engulfing you two as he bit your shoulder to hold back a growl that he had been holding.
Tumblr media
Now exactly nine months later here you were standing and waiting for Ao'nung to return. Just like you had predicted Your parent's weren't pleased to know you two had laid with each other. Not that you had admitted to.
Actually you had a whole four months to prepare for your ceremonial bond. But Ronal wasn't stupid neither was your mother. Neytiri was talking to jake when the suspension came on. You had been eating too much and so she asked Tsahik to make sure of it.
Sure enough your parents. Especially Jake was beyond furious. And by default you two had your ceremony much sooner than expected.
Now To say Jake and Ronal were the only ones who were furious was an understatement. It really felt that Tonowari, Tuk and Tsireya were the only ones that were happy.
Bless Ao'nung for handling your family.
Unfortunately that short lived bliss of being mates was interrupted. Roa had been found dead with her calf. Now you all stood watching as your father told them to warn the Tulkun. You couldn't move. You weren't allowed.
You just waited watching as Lo'ak and Neteyam were now arguing.
It all happened in a flash. You were in the arms of Ao'nung, and then the next you were asking him to be safe in bringing your brother's back.
Taking yourself into your pod.
You prayed. The pit in your stomach now hurting as you felt your breath hitch. You still had a few months to go. But it felt painful suddenly.
"Eywa please please let this fear leave me" you begged. Hand on your stomach as you couldn't even hear the horns sound.
War didn't just hurt those to went to it. Soldiers bled but the innocent stay and suffer that pain.
The silence of the village was what alarmed you. You were completely alone. Perhaps the stress? The emptiness of it all but you felt your water break.
Panic seeped into your heart. It was far too early. Too dangerously early and you were alone. Nobody in sight. Without even thinking you let out a cry unbeknownst to you calling your Ikran 'Ana.
You didn't even know what to do. All you remembered was what little you had learned from Ronal and your mother. You thanked 'Ana for being ever so patient as you pulled at her face and held her there while you went into the water.
Let Gravity help
That's all you were told was your best of friends. And so you did. Feeling 'Ana Grumble and growl along side you. Perhaps too she was scared of what was happening.
You felt the sting. And then the shooting pain. You began to push on instinct too But that sharp burning pain didnt stop. Looking down at the water you saw red.
Blood. A lot of Blood
'help'
it was the only thing on your mind as you finally felt the relieve of the growing tension ease.
But that wasn't the end of it. Yours lungs ached and the bleeding was getting so much worse. Looking at 'Ana you looked at her finally.
"Please..get mom"
That's all you wanted letting her fly off. You looked down again. Placing your hand down to feel. An open wound. And the head of your babe poking out.
Screaming again as you began to push. Feeling yourself get lightheaded. You looked to the open sea. Cries. War. And you were all alone delivering your babe by yourself.
Begging, Silently praying to Eywa as you felt your legs shake.
Ao'nung along side Tsireya was now dragging back a wounded Neteyam. He made a promise to bring your brother's back. Jake Had told him to take him back to shore and that's what he did.
His people Some wounded and some not so much. Some being dragged. To the safety of his mother's healing pod.
And that's when he saw you. He was so sure he didn't let you anywhere NEAR the battle. He was so sure he didn't see you there. But there you were.
He was one of the very first few people back. And there you were laying on the shore. The water around you red.
"Ao'nung!" Tsireya yelled now taking Neteyam in her arms as she saw him run to you.
So much blood. So much blood. Dragging you he saw the cord that now left your legs and he began to search the water. Scared. Terribly scared, frightened to his core to think that something happened to you or the babe.
And then he brought the small thing up. Its movement now erratic before he let out a shrill cry. He wanted to be happy. He wanted to be so happy
But this babe was so so small. So terribly tiny. And you were bleeding.
"Go take her to the pod! Go" Tsireya yelled again struggling to drag ao'nung but noticing some people coming back.
Ao'nung didn't think he just picked you up and placed the babe in your arms as he took you to his mom's pod.
Now he was no healer. But his mom had taught him how to stop the bleeding So while she would take a while to get here He could do what was the best for the meantime.
Jake now stood in front of the pod where you were being taken care of along side Neteyam. He was both thankful and yet Furious with himself that he let this happen.
He looked at his son in law. his face a distant memory of when he let home tree fall. A loss and yet being so lost in thought.
"kid?"
He didnt respond possibly to shell shocked as he waited
"Hey it'll be alright okay?"
"Will she be alright?" He asked like a little kid. Looking at his family and then Tonowari both parents dealing with having to protect their kids.
Before he could speak. Ronal opened the veil of the pod looking at all of them and then her son. "she's alright"
"and Neteyam?"
"He's alright as well. Hasn't woken up yet but is stable. Come" She said stepping aside and letting them all in.
You kept looking at the ceiling. As you had been the entire time you were conscious. Ronal having to stitch you up and while painful it wasn't as traumatizing and enduring labor alone.
You saw Ao'nung and then your father. And that's when you began to cry. You had been so scared and you were terrified as Ronal had not said a word about your baby.
"Shh its okay. Its okay sweet girl" Your father said stroking your head as you couldn't help but cry.
Ao'nung holding your hand before he felt his mother tap him on the shoulder. A small bundle. Barely the size of a healthy babe in her arms.
"He is tiny. Premature. But he is healthy" She spoke watching as all your family now surrounded her and watched.
She was right. Such a tiny little thing.
Ao'nung smiled. Kissing your head as he just held you. "healthy my love healthy"
You couldn't help but laugh a little through your sobs as you felt ronal lay the small thing on your chest. Sure now came the path of having to care for such a premature babe. But you were just glad all that pain. All that panic was worth it. Because as you two stared at your little son. It made it all worth it.
"Welcome to the family little one" You heard Neteyam say next to you. and Oh Eywa. Was it the thing you wanted to hear after hearing your babe cry too.

I think maybe once I finish Runaway. Maybe I'll move the blog over?
Like okay I'll have this blog still up right. But I'll make an actual primary avatar blog. Cause I'd actually like to reply to the comments I get y'know? So if not too much trouble I'll do that after Runaway is over and continue posting over there.
