Sousou no Frieren typology
Frieren - INTP 5w6 sp/so Double Bird (the conflict between her and Serie is basically Ti-Te clash)
Fern - ISTJ 1w9 sp/so Lion-Bird
Stark - ESFP 6w7 so/sp Double Badger
Sein - ESTP 6w7 sp/so Badger-Lion
Heiter - ENTP 7w6 so/sp Double Snake (when he is older, he integrates to a good side of enneagram 1 and 5 and his Fe-Si also develops which is why Fern and Sein both see him as a healthy ESFJ of sort)
Eisen - ISTP 6w5 so/sp (his main drive is fear so he is e6. His function is less clear, however he does show a flit of Ni-insight into Frieren and he is ISTx, so ISTP is likely)
Serie - ENTJ 8w9 sp/so Double Lion (her view of magic is very utilitarian which is indicator of high Te. Respecting drive, ambition and ruthlessness is a sign of 8 but also has softer, more withdrawn side of 9 wing)
Denken - ESTJ 6w5 so/sp Snake-Badger
Himmel - ENFJ 3w2 so/sp Double Badger (this man is the man. This is the kind of man I want to be ... except the 'I'm handsome' part haha)
Flamme - ENFJ 1w2 sp/so Double Badger (her Ni is out of this world strong but Fe seems to be her main focus)

A little correction, she challenges Pakku a master Waterbender, not an Earthbender.
It is funny how she is softened a LOT in live action. In the OG she is this fiery, assertive ESFJ 1w2 so/sp who rages over pretty much everything. She literally broke Aang's iceberg by being incredibly angry at Sokka's misogyny and screaming her head off at him.
Avatar: The Last Airbender: Katara [ESFJ 2w1]
MBTI Type: ESFJ Katara is a very gentle, compassionate, and emotional girl, who makes decisions based on what is best for others rather than just for herself. She does not want to put others at risk with her talents, but also does not want to stand idly by and not be allowed to use those talents to protect people, so when she finds a society that won’t let women fight, she demands they change…

What are good journaling prompts to find your primary, in your opinion? What did you used?
For me, it's a simple 'sort me' post. Like the one you'd submit to @wisteria-lodge. If you have some rough idea about your primary, you'll know exactly which primary you are. I'd leave it a day or two before reading it again objectively.
I do feel 'Badger' and 'Snake' because I love my people. But all my motivations are driven by 'what hill to stand on' which isn't how Badger and Snake think. If someone I love do something I consider unforgivable, I'll cut them out without a second thought. Like how my friend called me a "f****t", I cut him out of my life right then and there. I love him and he is a very good friend to me. But the moment he uses this word, he violates my sacred rule. I will not allow anyone to pull this type of shit on anyone. If he does it, he doesn't deserve me, period.
Same goes for my goal and 'community'. It's a community of a likeminded people with shared purpose that I crave. That is essentially, yk, a Lion version of community. There are many more but ... if you read what you wrote with a clear mind, you'll see a lot of these hints and patterns. Then, you go for the simplest explanation.

Now I finally understand the meaning of 'gut energy' in 9w8.
Long story short, been contemplating whether to do something. Then my gut told me 'fuck that, this is the right call. Do it now'. And my body just moved on its own and I did it. Turns out my gut was right. It was the feeling 'you know yourself and the situation the best. There is no need to hesitate on anything'.
I understand what it means to be very certain about where I am going. I know that deep down I know all of this - people, situation, proper reaction, strategy - but I waste a lot of energy diffusing myself to people around me. The moment I start to look inward and lean into my self-trusting, calculated side (basically, 8-wing), I found a personal power I've never experienced my entire life.

I've noticed you're a Lion primary again, is there a reason you've circled back round?
Went around and did some journaling. You know, self-reflection.
I do love people. I do want community and I do want to have a family. A real family that I know won't throw me under the bus or keeping me as a sentient farming equipment (like my birth family). But in the end, if there is absolutely no one left in my life, my goal (military) will drive me forward. Not the people, not the community but the goal itself.
At the lowest point I, what drove me onward was 'Fuck them all. I will win. Even if I have to be alone'. Do I want people and community? Oh yes. Will I sacrifice my goal and value to be a part of them - never.
That is the reason, I think.

Hey, what made you change your mind about your primary, in shc way?
Because... my 'cause' oriented personality came from my primary being burned. I never have my community or family. I never have friends that lasts and my family sees me as sentient farm equipment. I never have someone I could be with. So, I cope with it by saying 'I don't any of those things. I'm better than them. I will chase my goal and focus on nothing else but that'.
But now ... I have a friend who sticks with me and actively pushing me to be better. I finally know what it's like to have a community. Then I realized that my 'goal' itself (to join USMC then MARSOC) isn't exactly because of some idealistic purposes. What I want is the community. I want the life of the military and the bond and community between someone who have been through shit together. Someone who has my back. I want 'my people' and I want to be good enough to protect what is mine.
Given the emphasis on 'my people' I have, I'm Snake primary.

Skyrim Typology - Windhelm
The worst city in all of Skyrim bars none.
***Only NPCs with enough depth are listed here
Ulfric Stormcloak
ENFJ 8w9 sp/so, Burnt Badger-Lion
He is a pitiful man. He is broken by his less than honorable surrender to Thalmor torturer. He is a gallant warrior and a highly dynamic man who care for people under him but guilt and anger made him into a warmonger he is now. He thinks the Empire abandoned him (who fought for the Empire his entire life) and worse, that they abandoned his people. He is angry at himself for giving into Thalmors manipulation but also at the Empire for failing him again and again. So he weaponizes his rage and construct the entire narrative about Skyrim's independence (which is a sign of high Ni - abstracting away from real event and make them into symbols). His entire narrative and decisions are made with people and emotions. It is all about 'people of Skyrim' which indicates Fe.
Nurelion
ISFP 4w5 sp/sx
This fucker is really annoying. At first he might look vaguely like a grumpy INTJ but when you look closer, he is high Se with piss poor Te. His body is frail, weak and he is incredibly sick but he still wants to go dungeon diving so he can put his hands on the White Phial. That shows his high Fi (I want this), high Se (I need to get my hands dirty and do it myself, now), semi-strong Ni (this is my life goal) and poor Te (ignoring the fact that he will surely die because he is incredibly weak and that he can better use his resource to strike a deal with someone so they could do it for him).
His poor Te shows again and again. All he cares about is his needs, he steamroll over his apprentice with Te sledgehammer (I want this now, and I expect it now! Ignoring the fact that he isn't the only thing that exists in the world). He offended LDB by giving him 5 gold after he brought the White Phial to him which is incredibly stupid move (thee man single-handedly killed an army of Draugar and came out unscathed) and has no sense of value of things.
Niranye
ESTP 6w7 sp/so
She is a smart woman. She knows how to make a deal and maneuver around the racism in Windhelm. She has strong sense of realism and detachment from emotions (Se-Ti), She knows she needs to bribe and endure some racist remarks but she is cool with it because it's just the way it works. She is also very charming and tries to appeal to people's emotions to get her way. Instead of negotiating a deal with LDB, she appeals to his sympathy instead (I could be killed!) this shows her Fe-tert. She also occasionally takes other's problem as her own to solve and tries to do right by people around her. She offers the priestess of Talos a way to escape the city in case the Thalmors break into the city. This shows her superego tendency to do things right (6) and her Fe. Her Ni is nonexistent.
Calixto Corrium
INFJ 9w8 sx/so
He is an odd one. On one hand, he is a narcissist who kill others without feeling an ounce of guilt, on the other, he is a broken soul who wants nothing more than seeing his sister (who he is very attached to - enneagram 9 trait) again. He constructs his grief into a vision (again, Ni-dom trait) and enacts it. He has no Te because his thinking is all about 'this is what I want to see, it must happen and I'll ignore everything outside because it makes sense to me) which shows Ni-Ti loop. He also has competent Fe - likable, diplomatic and knows how to appeal to people's emotions. His Se is horrible though, he doesn't know how to fight but still impulsively trying to fight someone much stronger in a desperate attempt to make his vision come true.

I'm curious how far along you are toward achieving your goals
Now, what I need most is time.
Training is good. Far from perfect but not bad. Body needs time to adapt and become stronger. Will go at it harder and more intense.
Study is probably my weakest priority right now. Will start studying in earnest after new year. For ASVAB, DLAB (I don't really need to study for this tbh, I'll ace DLAB anyway. Linguistics is my thing), military manuals and books on modern laws and of course, more languages (Chinese (easiest thing ever, given that my native tongue has 5 tones while Chinese has only 4), Arabic (moderate), Japanese (easy, really) French (quite chill) and German (pretty chill)).
Immigration is going at its own pace. Will be May next year before I can take other steps.
Now, I'm working on saving up. The job is shameful and I'm surrounded by idiots, weaklings and losers. But it pays. So I just swallow my anger and keep working to earn and save as much as I can to fund my immigration.
The long term plan to snatch a job to secure my immigration is coming along. The pieces aren't in alignment yet, what I need now is time.
The rest is up to fate. I believe in my fate that I will prevail.

Good Traits Gone Bad
Exploring good traits gone bad in a novel can add depth and complexity to your characters. Here are a few examples of good traits that can take a negative turn:
1. Empathy turning into manipulation: A character with a strong sense of empathy may use it to manipulate others' emotions and gain an advantage.
2. Confidence becoming arrogance: Excessive confidence can lead to arrogance, where a character belittles others and dismisses their opinions.
3. Ambition turning into obsession: A character's ambition can transform into an unhealthy obsession, causing them to prioritize success at any cost, including sacrificing relationships and moral values.
4. Loyalty becoming blind devotion: Initially loyal, a character may become blindly devoted to a cause or person, disregarding their own well-being and critical thinking.
5. Courage turning into recklessness: A character's courage can morph into reckless behavior, endangering themselves and others due to an overestimation of their abilities.
6. Determination becoming stubbornness: Excessive determination can lead to stubbornness, where a character refuses to consider alternative perspectives or change their course of action, even when it's detrimental.
7. Optimism becoming naivety: Unwavering optimism can transform into naivety, causing a character to overlook dangers or be easily deceived.
8. Protectiveness turning into possessiveness: A character's protective nature can evolve into possessiveness, where they become overly controlling and jealous in relationships.
9. Altruism becoming self-neglect: A character's selflessness may lead to neglecting their own needs and well-being, to the point of self-sacrifice and burnout.
10. Honesty becoming brutal bluntness: A character's commitment to honesty can turn into brutal bluntness, hurting others with harsh and tactless remarks.
These examples demonstrate how even admirable traits can have negative consequences when taken to extremes or used improperly. By exploring the complexities of these traits, you can create compelling and multi-dimensional characters in your novel.
Happy writing!

I have some absolutely fucking incredible news to share with you all.
My most recent YouTube video looked to address a right-wing conservative group called The Falkirk Center - based on the campus of Liberty University.
https://youtu.be/s71YVI8ul6Y
youtube
As someone who was born in the actual town of Falkirk, I took this as a personal slight. They were misrepresenting Scotland’s history and stole my town’s name to prop up their shitty politics and I wasn’t having any of it.
During my research I found they kept referring to “Judeo-Christian Values” - a term they use to, ironically, erase Judaism and make themselves sound more inclusive than they actually were.
After asking some of you for your thoughts, it was clear “Judeo-Christian values” wasn’t a highly regarded term within Jewish communities.
By the looks of things, someone from the Falkirk Center has seen my video - because the Falkirk Center no longer exists.
Not only have they dropped the name and any reference to Falkirk from their website - but they’ve also stopped using the term “Judeo-Christian” - because it’s a meaningless term.
They’ve since rebranded as the “Standing for Freedom Center” which is just a wanky but I still think we did a good thing.
We fucking won.

Ki Seung Nyang Typings
Ki Seung Nyang / Ki Yang
ENTJ 8w9 so/sp Snake-Lion (862)
A testament that an 8 doesn't have to be a villain or amoral character. She has very strong moral center and is a good person, but she is not a 1 because she lacks the superego (should and must) element of a 1. Enneagram 1 is like Wang Yu, always condemning himself and pushing himself toward unrealistic standard of what is 'right'.
Ki Yang is a lot more free with her anger and power. She isn't afraid to use underhanded tactics so long as she wins. She also has no mercy to her enemy. She is very, VERY vengeful and will not going to let a chance to inflict excessive force if she could do it. She doesn't have to let Danashiri be humiliated by killing her in the market, but she did it anyway because she wanted to 'even the score'. That's an 8 line of thinking - You hurt me so I will give it back to you tenfold. I will destroy everything you stand for so you experience pain worse than death before you die. Which as an 8w9 myself I totally understand that.
But she also uses her strength and power to protect those weaker than herself. That is the calling of social 8 - to dominate the social circle and focusing on what is 'hers'. It's not superego 'should and must' that drives her to fight, but a desire to protect her people, her country, her family and her cause. That's the difference between an 8 and a 6. (My friend is a 6w5 so/sp and our dynamic is like that, he attaches himself to the 'right' thing and I (8w9 so/sp) fight to protect what is mine and fuck the right thing.)

King's War MBTI
Liu Bang - ENTP 6w7 sp/so
This guy is a fox. Nice to see a good representation of an ETP leader once in a while. His strength lies in his adaptability and ability to appeal to just about everyone.
Xiang Yu - ESFP 8w7 sx/so
Ugh! so emotional and impulsive. I do not understand a single one of his decision and everything he does feel so out of place like wtf?
Lü Zhi - ESFJ 3w2 sp/so
She is an intelligent woman who knows when to assert herself and when not to. She can be pretty ruthless though. But in general, she is a confident woman who knows her worth and knows what she wants. She always put her family's wellbeing before herself (though isn't above taking revenge when she can).
Xiang Liang - ENTJ 3w2 so/sp
Much smarter than his son and a much better king.
Fan Zeng - INTJ 3w2 sp/so
No comment here, but I just like him. He is an old fox but also a pragmatic strategist. Sad that he was stuck with the impetuous fool Xiang Yu though.
Xiao He - ISFJ 9w1 sp/so
Another great representation of ISFJ 9w1. Sure, ISFJ 9w1 are soft and malleable but they are also very capable to hold their own and being talented. Xiao He embodies every good quality of ISFJ 9w1 - amicable, personable, empathic, meticulous and understanding. But he is also very capable of holding his own opinion and assert himself (in a nice way). My favorite character in the show.
Zhang Liang - ESFJ 9w1 sp/so
Another great representation of Fe + 9. He is always soft and polite but also assertive in his own way. He can get pretty much everyone to like him and find a way to get people to work together.
Han Xin - ISTP 5w6 so/sp
He is a talented strategist with near nil understanding of how people work. His strategy is Ti-based (making his own system, do what he believes is logical without thinking about how to communicate it to other people) but his Fe is really bad. He doesn't know how to win himself favor or recognizing social dynamic. And he is narrow-minded in a way Se-Ni users usually are. Being too focused on one outcome that he ignores other possibilities.

Typology - Gangubai Kathiawadi (from Netflix)
Tumblr media
MBTI: ENTJ (a great potrayal of Te-dom and Ni user)
Enneagram: 8w9 so/sp (836)
Sorting: Double Lion
First, I really admire this character. I will not comment on the real person because I do not know enough about her. But as it stands, I admire this character.
I can relate to her in so many aspect. I respect how she turns her pain into strength. And how she fights not just for herself but for 4,000 women of Kamathipura who depend on her. She is a selfless idealist who fights for her people when the world want to tear them down. I cannot respect this enough. If you ask me what kind of person I want to be, it's someone like her (as a character). And she reignites the flame in my heart as well.
But enough conjectures.
Gangubai is a Te-dom. She is a no-nonsense business woman who focuses on the bottom line and profit. She is a very kind and empathic woman but also a ruthlessly pragmatic and logical one. She never let her personal sentiment standing in the way of what needs to be done. She sacrificed her lover to save a young girl from prostitution and further her standing in Kamathipura politics. She bravely got into a room with a sadistic rapist who 'bought' her so she could bring him to justice. While she doesn't talk much about her feelings, she show it through her action. She is one of those 'enough emotions' people. Since her Fi is inferior, she rarely indulges in it. Instead, she prefers to problem solve and get things done for people she loves. She shows how she cares by being of service to her people and uphold her values through actions. But on a rare occasion, we get to see how much pain she has inside of herself such as when she called her mother... That was a sad scene.
But she is also highly abstract and symbolic. She ruminated on cremating 'Ganga' because now she is 'Gangu'. She stated to her madam that she will 'become queen of Kamathipura'. Then she went on to talk about different shade of white in a highly abstract way to infer her meaning. Her speech is often straightforward, but also subversive in that she finds a way of thinking no one thinks about (A brothel is a bad influence for the school. Wouldn't a school be good influence for a brothel?) All this point to strong intuition. And her intuition is a focused, single-minded, narrowing everything down kind of intuition, which is Ni. She also shows strong but underutilized Se. She enjoys good time and sensory thing but also not very active and impulsive in her decision making.
Her enneagram is also very simple. She is an 8w9 - fearless and calm in every situation. She doesn't charm people so much as strong arming them and demonstrate her power so she can come out on top. (The scene when she sat on a missionary is hilarious, what a power move). When she wants something, she just marches in and expects it to be done. And if they don't comply, she just put more and more pressures on them until they cave. (And as a 9w8, man I wish I could do this more, it's refreshing!) She is so/sp. Her focus is on larger society first before her own needs. She identifies with the group and takes on a role of 'mama bear' and protect them, fight for them. Which is also why I relate to her so much, as an so/sp with strong 8 wing...
And she is double Lion. Ganguji is fiery, assertive and fearless. She knows her values and isn't afraid to stand up against anyone for what she believes is right. She champions the right of her people, not out of a sense of duty or obligations, but out of genuine belief in the rightness of her cause and dignity of her profession. While she can be subtle, her go to method is usually 'do this, or else'. Which demonstrates exactly what a cunning and intelligent Lion secondary would look like. She is planful, cunning and very pragmatic. But she is also ... honest. She is very honest and straightforward in everything she does.
She doesn't beat around the bush and manipulate. She simply states it as it is 'if you value your life, you better do as I say'. And she is an improvisational secondary to the core. When she had to deliver a speech, instead of using a pre-prepped one. She just tore it and said what's in her heart. And it got people rolling.\
All in all, a compelling character and someone I respect.

I was sorted as lion primary a few times by people and the quiz, but I have such an irrational hate to that answer, it comes near to saying I hate myself and that part of me that makes everyone say that. Kind of a lion response probably. Maybe it's the way I thought the lion should work, and where it should lead me in the end, and that not working out, I'm not sure. There's a lot of other houses in me, and I could theoretically claim any and live there comfortably, but that wouldn't be the truth. I might stl be a lion, maybe not in the best shape even, and that thought would never abandon me. I have little hope that my reaction is fair and I'm not actually a lion, so is there anything you would think I could do to lessen this reaction and try to appreciate this primary? Sorry for this ramble, ignore this if needed. Thank you for your time.
There is the only way, from my experience.
Go out and live. Questioning this, obsessing over it won't give you any satisfaction. Go out and experience thing. Find a cause to fight for whether that's your ambition, your self-improvement, your dream job, your journey, whatever that is. Go out there, fall in love, get your heart broken, meet more people and befriend them. Get yourself out there and meet the hardship of life, the bitter sweet taste of failure and learn from it. From every moment of life.
There is no shortcut to any of these problems. The only way you can know yourself is by living a full life. And a full life isn't to live in a dank cellar pondering on question like this. It is to go out there and experience what life has to offer, good and bad. That's how you'll learn to know yourself and maybe love yourself.
There is no magic pill that will make you love yourself more or tell you who you are. Only your courage to live and learn from life will open the way for you.
@wisteria-lodge I can't think of other Lion Primary, do you have any advice for this anon?
