Even though I love kdramas I wouldn't say there are a lot of romcoms that have been done well BUT when I say Wedding Impossible has truly been romcoming real hard I'm not lying

mike flanagan simply cannot make anything without it saying "the horror is a love story. it was hideous and awful and people died and suffered without reason but it came from love, and the love was still good and pure and right for being there. the love created this monster and the cruelty will try to take the love with it too. but it never does, because love always outlives the pain, because it has to, because it's what it was all for."

my issue with mike flanagan's shows is that when i finish them i'll have Thoughts™ and i won't stop having Thoughts™ and i won't be able to sleep, 'cause i'm having too many Thoughts™ and i also need to rewatch every single piece of work he has done. that fucking genius.

i really like mike flanagan's work bc he's just like what if everyone's a bit deranged, a little gay and spooky stuff happened and we get masterpieces it's crazy

Marriane had the sense that her real life was happening somewhere very far away, happening without her, and she didn’t know if she would ever find out where it was and become part of it.

See You in My 19th Life had me fully invested, even though i'm not big on romance, probably because it's so soft and sincere and thoughtful. it's a collection of love stories woven together throughout nineteen lives. it's one love story spanning a thousand years. it's so many kinds of love that can be found even in one life: Aegyong making Jieum her family, Jieum forming a sisterly bond with Chowon, Seoha and Doyoon's brotherhood, Chowon and Doyoon cutely and tentatively pining for each other, and of course the quietly passionate love between Jieum and Seoha.
See You in My 19th Life, at its core, is a story about love: loving people and loving life so intensely you leave no room for hatred, rage, or spite. there's no unnecessary drama. the show's not perfect: there are a couple of loose ends in the plot, but still, it's enjoyable and it made my weekends. oh, and the music is also top-tier 🥰

if i had a nickel every time shin hye-sun played a vaguely genderqueer character in a reincarnation k-drama that my sister forced me to watch with her, i'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but its weird that it happened twice

Seoha getting flustered and denying the kiss by arguing that it was a peck instead and jieum agreeing with him then showing him what a proper kiss is IS THE CONTENT I WANT FROM KDRAMAS

It will never cease to crack me up that Tantai Jin took over the Jing country cause the demon mask voice thing in his head convinced him to, it's your birthright etc etc. - so he arguably took it over for Evil Reasons™ and then Tantai Jin proceeded to use his newfound power to -
Be an amazing fucking ruler. Like, he did an entire hostile takeover thing with his emo gremlin magic, and instead of being a tyrant tHE FUCKING COUNTRY IMPROVED FOR THE BETTER. That's absolutely hysterical to me.

Why are you here? Laundromats are dangerous.
I’m at the laundromat. This is the closest place and nicest, you know? But last week and the week before that too, some guy stole my underwear. They haven’t caught him yet so I can’t leave it here while it’s washing.
