#this is so fucking true #i did not know a SINGLE openly lgbt person in all my school years bc it was too dangerous #1 trans person came out to me in hs only bc we were dating. #and they couldn't do anything/present as their gender even in private bc it was too risky #they only started having pride celebrations there 3 years ago. 3 fucking years. and it's super small and risky to go to #also the docs and therapists having loose lips is so fucking true. even the supportive ones might out u #not even to try and fix you but bc they're gossips or don't understand the risk #but yeah. i literally can't look for therapy rn bc it's WAY too likely i would be 1. outed #2. ppl trying to convince me to get pregnant and married or blab if i try to get sterilized #probably both #and i know this bc my abusive family member went to college here to become a therapist. i know the ppl they knew who were also therapists #they were all genuinely wretched #fun fact everyone in my family agrees they'd be the worst therapist ever. it's like high school bullies becoming cops & nurses #thankfully they decided to stick to retail after graduaying bc I QUOTE 'they didn't want to listen to ppls problems all day' ☠️ #but yea queer rural is hell esp when you can't just move #the only reason i didn't get the shit beat out of me or my lawn set on fire #was bc i was straight passing and looked fairly feminine #so they assumed i was just too shy/autistic/late bloomer to flirt with boys lmao #i hated it so much but at least being underestimated/babied worked in my favor in that one aspect 🥲 #not omo

I think some people need to understand that someone being aro/ace doesn't necessarily reflect what media they like to create/consume. I like to draw nsfw, I love raunchy romcom, I like to revolve fictional relationships in my head. Do I want to be put in that situation?
