Dark Gathering starts as relatively light "scary anime". Yeah, it has ghosts and their backstories can be dark and violent, but it also has cute girls and while people get attacked by ghosts in pretty scary ways it always ends up fine. So lured into sense of security I continued watching and BOY the list of content warnings alone is really uncomfortable as it contains: curses, gore, suicide, cannibalism, body horror, rape, incest and demonic pregnancy. At the same time, the characters are very "anime". I also dislike a bit, that the show has very episodic structure, from one ghost to another.

Cap and the whole crew are interesting and good team for adventure

The enemy team is actually competent
