This was sooo good I loved it!!!! The dynamic between Puff and the Farmer is amazing. Also here is a mini comic of our Farmers being double the trouble for Lewis :D Of course they will be even worse now that there is two of them

Prolouge;

First Day on the farm.

Note:

This was written for my friend @ajdapigeon who has been very polite and patient waiting for me to get off my ass and write this fic.

The Farmers eyes slowly squinted open. They had a really rough time down in the mines, trying to get down to level fifty.

Had they gotten a few things that they could donate to the community center? Of course they could. But that didn’t mean they still weren’t tired.

They slowly pulled themselves out of bed. If they really wanted too, they could just. Sleep all day. But they didn’t have that option, because of the animals.

They glanced out the window. The fall weather was descending upon the valley as of recently, and they needed to water those pumpkins. If not, it wouldn’t kill them to not have been watered for a day.

But then who would upstage Pierre and give away pumpkins for free? The farmer lived on spite, and spite alone.

Before they even had the chance for a cup of coffee, they heard a rapid knock on the front door. Who the hell could be here at such an ungodly hour in the morning?

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK.

The farmer sighed under their breath, before they walked towards the door, their hair a mess, and their clothes covered in coal, and slime goo. Yes that was as disgusting as it sounded.

As the farmer opened the door, they were shocked to see Puff.

Who was Puff? Well. Back when they worked at Joja, they had befriended another worker. They had eaten lunch together, had dinner together, and hung out whenever they got the chance.

Slowly, their friendship blossomed..into best friendship.

Yeah. No. They didn’t like each other like that. Don’t be nasty. Puff was wearing bright yellow overalls, with a denim skirt, white overalls and some black shoes.

It took a few moments for it to really register into the farmers head, that their best friend was standing directly in front of them. But once it hit, it hit hard.

“Puff! Holy shit!.” The farmer yelled, before engulfing their friend into a hug.

“Dude what the Hell are you doing here??”

Puff laughed hugging back, squeezing onto them. “So uh. I wanted to maybe live with you on the farm? I kinda quit Joja..”

The farmer sat down on the steps, as Puff sat next to them, before the farmer glanced over tiredly at Puff.

“What did you do.” They demanded, raising an eyebrow.

Puff laughed sheepishly, rubbing the back of her neck, before she sighed and shut her eyes. Clearly, it was something traumatic, and something she didn’t want to talk about.

“It’s a long, very tragic, very upsetting-”

“Puffins, did you lose your temper?” The farmer interrupted, before Puff hung their hands in her hands.

“It wasn’t my fault this time!! This asshole demanded that I should’ve told them sooner about the new Joja flavor, and gotten coffee for his stupid meeting! So I poured coffee on his stupid head.”

..The farmer started to laugh.

“Was the coffee at least iced?!” They demanded laughing, as they nudged puff.

“No..” Puff whined. “It was boiling hot. They fired me on the spot, so I was kicked out by my roommates and now I’m homeless. Can you hire me? I work for literally nothing.”

The farmer smirked, glancing around the farm. “Maybe I can find you a few things to do. Cmon, I’ll introduce you to everyone in town, after watering these crops.”

“Oh I was here an hour ago. I already watered your crops!”

The farmer stood up, rather suddenly. “I want coffee. Cmon, you can have some breakfast, while I make coffee.”

“Or..Tea?”

“Coffee Puff.”

. . .

The two friends walked down the road together. Puff was happily looking around, crunching down on leaves.

“So then, I told him that if I saw him around my apartment again, I’d throw him out the window, and make him land in the trash!”

The farmer nodded. “Logical. That’s clearly the only solution that could be done. Oh, hey.! Shane!”

Shane groaned under his breath. Great. The farmer, early in the morning. Didn’t they have anything else to do?-

“This is Puff! She’s my friend from back home.” The farmer gently ushered Puff forwards, before Puff smiled weakly.

“Hiiiioooowdy.” She tried a good version between Hi and Howdy, but it just sounded like jumbled words.

Shane blinked. Looking between the farmer, and back to puff. Before he rubbed his eyes tiredly.

“I just. I can’t do it this early in the morning Farmer. I just can’t.” Shane muttered walking ahead.

Puff deflated. “It was the awkward transition wasn’t it?”

The farmer shook their head. “No no, Shane is always an asshole this early in the morning. He’s going to Jojamart.”

Puff exhaled, as they continued to walk around together. A few people they talked too were nice.!

Jodi was sweet, happily exclaiming that there were two new farmers.

Vincent, and Jas, both happily said good morning to the farmer, but Vincent was a bit more outgoing when saying good morning to Puff.

Penny happily wished her a good morning.

And soon, they were off towards Pierre’s. Puff was more of a baker, and with the new kitchen that The Farmer had just gotten installed by Robin.

As they stood in line, holding some of the flour, sugar, all that stuff, Harvey walked in, and smiled.

“Hey, Farmer.” Harvey began as he walked over, gently placing a hand on puffs shoulder. “You still need to come to my office for a check-up.”

Puff immediately spun around, and punched Harvey across the face, making his glasses fly off his face, before Puff slammed her hands over her mouth.

“OH MY YOBA OH MY YOBA OH MY YOBA!”

As Harvey’s ears rung, all he could hear was the sound of the Farmer Wheezing with laughter, as the farmers friend immediately moved to try and grab his glasses.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry I’m so so sorry!!” She shouted grabbing the glasses. “My instincts kicked in, I didn’t mean too!!!”

As the glasses slid back onto Harvey’s face, Harvey felt blood trickle from his mouth, as he made eye contact with..a really cute girl.

“H..i.” Harvey began slowly. But it almost didn’t matter, as Puff was immediately covering her face once more.

“I’m so sorry!!!”

The farmer laughed harder. “Oh my yoba, you totally cracked his Jaw! Hey Pierre does this place have a dentist!?”

“It’s not funny!!!” She shouted in horror, as Harvey stared at the both of them.

…Huh. There was a new farmer.

“I’m..Im fine.” Harvey stood up straight. “My name is Harvey, and I’m the town doctor. It’s really nice to meet you.”

“It is?” The farmer snickered, making Puff punch them roughly in the arm.

Introductions were had. More rapid apologies were made, and Puff and the Farmer were on their way. Harvey stared after them for a moment.

Soon, more interactions were had. More were made. And finally, at around four, Lewis’s front door was knocked on.

“Come in.!” Lewis called by his stove, making a cup of tea.

The two farmers walked inside, as The Farmer waved happily.

“Hey Mayor. This is my friend Puff, she’s gonna be working with me on the farm.”

Puff waved quietly. And Lewis immediately sighed in relief under his breath. The farmer themselves were not a bad farmer! Not a bad guy! But it seemed that the farmer really really enjoyed pranking Lewis.

Maybe this new friend would be a good influence on them, so that they’d finally stop.

“It’s really nice to meet you. But..what kind of name is Puff? Is that a nickname?”

Puff looked up. Before she blinked. “That’s just my name. It’s not a nickname. I prefer being called Puff.”

Lewis slowly blinked. “Okay..but is that what your parents named you?”

Puff frowned. “I dunno. Is Lewis what your parents named you?” She shot back.

Lewis frowned. But before he could respond, The farmer grabbed Puff by the wrist. “Cmon, I’ll introduce you to Willy and Elliott next! Maybe Elliott has some glasses for the wine I have!”

Puff nodded with a bright grin, as they bid their goodbyes to Lewis, and walked out of his house. As Lewis stared after them, a sigh escaped his lips.

“Oh Yoba..There’s two of them now.”

You have no idea how excited I am for the update, I've been ranting to a friend about it so much I'm surprised she hasn't blocked me lol.

Probably not, since the farmer I draw doesn't date anyone, sorry :(
