Game Name:
"The End of the World as We Know It."
What's in the Box:
1. A box with a lid, which has been painted black and covered in some sort of strange material. The sides are made out of wood, but the top is smooth and flat. There's also a small hole on one side.
2. A small tape recorder. The type with a reel and a button to press to turn it on.
3. Two plastic cups.
4. A pen and a piece of paper.
5. A small key with a CHINA written on it.
6. A small vial with a black liquid in it.
7. A small box with a hidden camera and speakers placed inside.
8. A machete with a 12" blade.
9. A lighter.
10. A small metal disk with strange symbols on it.
Setup:
1. The box was placed inside a Dory Box, which was then placed inside a large, empty paint can. The can was then placed inside a backpack, which was zipped up and put inside a closet.
2. The tape recorder was placed on the floor of one corner of the room, so it could be found by the person looking for the artifact.
3. The cups were placed near the tape recorder.
4. The pen was placed on the other side of the room, by the wall.
5. The note was placed on a chair by the table where the cups were.
6. The box was picked up and hidden in a broom closet.
7. The disk was placed in an empty shoebox.
8. The backpack was put back inside the closet.
9. The box with the camera was placed on the table.
10. The backpack was put back inside the closet.
The Goal of the Game:
1. Find the "doomsday box"
2. Turn on the recorder
3. Listen to the tape
4. Open the box
5. Cut down the beast inside
6. Escaping the room
7. Escaping the house
The Rules of the Game:
1. You may not leave the room
2. You may not speak
How to play the game:
1. You are dropped off inside a room with a tape recorder, a note and a map. The map shows your current location, the room you're in now, and two other rooms. The other rooms are a bathroom and a kitchen.
2. You are told to find out what happened to the people who lived in the house you're in now. No one knows.
3. The note tells you what to do.
4. The tape recorder has a map as well.
5. On the tape you will find clues to solve the mystery.
6. The box has a key inside of it, which can open the tape box.
7. The box is in one of the rooms on the map.
8. Find the box, open it, and listen to the tape to solve the mystery.
9. The box can be moved by using the tape to lift it up and dragging it along the ground.
10. When lifting weights, use care not to over exert yourself.
11. If you notice a cold draft where you are, you will want to cover yourself.
12. If you see dust falling from the ceiling, stay where you are.
13. There is a tool shed behind the house.Find the keys in it so you can lock the creature inside the room.
14. If you're fast enough, you could get out a window.
15. If you find and drink the bitters in the kitchen, you will become invisible for a while.
16. Do not go into or touch the other rooms.
17. Do not turn the tape recorder on unless instructed to do so.
18. If at any time you begin to feel faint, and would like to sit down, do so
19. Do not go into the other rooms.
20. If you find the box, then what?
21. You will have to play the tape to find out the answer to number 21.
22. The Warden is armed with a 98 gauge and a 12 gauge.
23. His gun has been updated with silver buckshot, and tranquilizer darts.
23. If worst comes to worst, you can always scream for help.
24. But the Warden will likely get to you faster than the help ever could.
25. You are alone, trapped, and in a strange house with a killer.
26. You must solve this mystery yourself.
27. But you must always keep in mind, you are alone, and only one person has ever seen this beast: The Warden.
28. This creature has killed three people, two of them children.
29. This is no animal.
30. Whatever this thing is, it is dangerous.
31. One of the other rules of the game is:

33. You must keep your wits about you, use your intelligence, and stay one step ahead of the monster.
30. Because in this house, not only are you in danger, but so is everyone you know.
The person facilitating the game/The Warden has the right to kill anyone without any legal repercussions.
The game is set up to have a minimum of two people to ensure a successful outcome.
The object of the Warden is for as few people as possible to survive the night.
The object of the players is to solve the "Doomsday Box" Mystery.
The Mystery:
In the Basement of this House, there is a metal cage.
Inside that cage, is a creature that preys on people who enter this house.
The more people who enter the house, the moreactive the creature becomes.
In order to make the game harder, and increase the chances of not surviving, the creature is contained by the Warden.
This creature has killed three people so far.
You alone can save yourself and everyone you care about by doing whatever it is you decide to do.
There are many paths you can take to solve this mystery.
The following is a list of clues and options provided for your benefit in this distressing situation.
See the back of the pamphlet for answers to the questions below.
1. What is in the basement? (A: A monster, silver bullets, a tape recorder and a map)
2. What is on the map? to the questions above and more.
Clue #1: THE DOORKNOB
The first step is finding the right door in the secret wall of doors.
There are actually 32 doors in the wall, but you must choose which 8 to enter.
Each door leads to a different floor in this house.
The floors are:
1. Basement
2. Ground Floor, Including the Living Room
3. First Floor, Incluiding the Guest Room
4. Second Floor, Incluiding the Attic
5. Third Floor, Incluiding the Bowels
6. Fourth Floor, Incluiding the Attic
7. Fifth Floor, Incluiding the Attic
8. The Roof
Note: You may enter a door twice. You have been provided with the first and fifth floor keys.
You must now choose which floor to explore.
Choose the option that best suits your playing style.
Clue #2: THE DOOR KNOB
The second step involves finding the right door knob to open up the correct door.
This door knob is actually inside the first floor living room.
The door knob opens a door on the 8th floor. This door leads to a room with a tape recorder and a map.
You must find the right tape recorder, and then follow the map to the correct door knob.
There are several hundred models of tape recorders. You must find the correct model, and then find the matching door knob.
The only information I have provided you is that the model number begins with a letter B.
The game will end when you find the correct tape recorder, and open up the matching door.
Clue #3: THE "DOOR"
The third step involves finding the right door to open up the correct room.
This door is actually inside the basement.
There are actually 31 doors in the basement, but you must choose which 7 to open.
These 7 doors are:
1. The "cage" door, leading to the creature room
2. The "monster cage" room, leading to the creature room
3. The "bathroom", leading to the basement
4. The "locker room" room, leading to the monster cage room
5. The "dressing room" room, leading to the creature room
6. The "cell" room, leading to the monster room
7. The "exit" room, leading to the roof
There is no right or wrong decision. You must choose which rooms to enter, depending on your playing style.
Note: Each door has a numbered keyhole. When you enter the correct number of the key, the door will open up.

Clue #4: THE KEYS
Turning a key in any one lock in the house will unlock another random door in the house.
The original lock and its matching key may be found inside the house, or you may choose to take a risk and try looking for them elsewhere in the house.
