wanna know something kind of sad?

i've had glasses since i was six years old, and i've worn them every day since i got them. but i'm digging through photos from high school for a project and i'm just... not wearing my glasses in almost any of them. ironically, i was specifically trying to remember what my glasses from back then looked like, but even if i weren't it would be sad to look back on SO many photos without them.

they're part of my face! they've always been part of my face. but i have so many pictures where i'm not wearing them, not just because i wouldn't wear them for plays (which i remembered) but also because i'd take them off for selfies. because i didn't wear them to events. i didn't wear them to a single dance in high school, not even prom, not even the ones that didn't matter. i didn't wear them for concerts or to parties or on dates.

and i'm glad that i grew out of that, but it's sad. it's sad and i didn't even remember that it was something i had to grow out of until i started looking back at photos from high school.

#the happy ending to this is that i wore them in my wedding photos until i absolutely had to take them off (it was sprinkling) #finn talks #i genuinely didn't remember that this was something i did! #but i'm feeling kind of melancholy over it now; over all the little self image issues i've grown out of but can see looking back

is it embarrassing to admit that i've lost track of the petnames i have been having a pair of characters use consistently for FOUR YEARS? perhaps. has it happened anyway? perhaps.

Reading Fic Pre-Posting: No typos whatsoever. Reads well. Flows beautifully. I have definitely found all possible spelling and grammar errors.

Reading Fic After Posting: A typo every three lines. Ten grammatical errors. Switches tense twice. POV changes for no discernible reason. Uses the word “look” five times in one sentence.

Lilo & Stitch is a great example of a story that has no villains. It has antagonists, sure, but most of them are well-meaning. The worst person in the film is that little shit Myrtle, but she’s not in the film that much anyway.

when is comes to asexuality and aromanticism you have to be okay with contradiction. one ace person will say asexuality is about not experiencing attraction, another will say it’s about not caring to act on attraction, another will say it’s not experiencing arousal. one aromantic will consider themself queer, one won’t. two people with seemingly identical experiences will use two different labels. aro people will be in romantic relationships, ace people will have sex. you get it.
