Heckin’ Retail
@advxjaehyung
It had been the literal worst shift of Wonho’s life. It was meant to be a slow afternoon shift, so he was alone when the pc room was swarmed by middle schoolers trying to play Overwatch. Have you ever tried to id 30+ middle school kids to make sure they were the legal age to play a game? No? It’s not fucking fun. By the time his co-worker had arrived, he had just left, not bothering to change. He was supposed to meet Jaehyung anyways.
He rushed through the streets, people dodging out of his way as they looked at his face. When he entered the Ediya, the barista actually jumped back a bit, and Wonho tried to calm his face. If he could’ve gotten away with throwing those kids off the balcony....... He shook his head to himself and politely ordered a coffee.
The barista handed him his change and buzzer a bit timidly, and he turned to look for Jae. It didn’t seem like he was here yet.... and then Wonho spotted him in the back corner. Wonho walked over and plopped down in the seat across from Jae.
“You will not believe the hell that I went through today at work.”

Fae-struck// closed Wonho self para
The first time he had seen her, he thought she was beautiful. She was the beauty of their department, the kind of person that just seemed to have effortless grace. And yet now.... Now he looked at her and he didn’t see beauty. He saw a twisted hunger and an emptiness that he could never hope to fill. What made it worse was that he knew he had done this. He had destroyed her, driven her mad.
They had first met at the department dinner, one year ago. All of the freshman had gathered together to eat, drink, and make new friends. Objectively, Wonho knew he was attractive, but he never thought that the beautiful student council member would seriously take an interest in him. During the drinking game that night, he became her white knight. For ever shot of soju he took in her place, she owed him a favor. He jokingly asked her for a date and was shocked when she agreed.
One date turned to many and they were soon a famous “campus couple” For 6 months, they were happy. 6 months of paradise for Wonho, who had been so lonely, so starved of love, since he had left home. And just one night ruined it all.
They had been drinking with friends, and Ji Hye had missed the subway home.... So... Wonho invited her to stay over. He had meant it innocently enough at the time but things got hot and heavy. He wasn’t used to it and his glamour fell... and that was all it took.
Ji Hye had gasped, her hand touching his face softly.
“Beautiful.” she had uttered. The word still gave him shivers when he heard it. She had leaned up, hand in his hair and kissed him. “I love you Wonho. I promise I will always love you.”
The promise had hit him so hard that he had tried to pull away, but she wouldn’t let go of him. She was pressed against him and he felt trapped. This was never what he had wanted.
Even when his glamour was back in place, her clinginess seemed to just get worse and worse. She stopped attending class, or going home. She followed him everywhere, waiting outside of his house, his job, his classes, even the toilet. He was suffocated, he couldn’t take it anymore. And as he drew back from her, she only got worse, until it got to the point where she wouldn’t even eat.
And that’s how he had ended up in the cafe, seated across from her. Her parents were waiting nearby, he had called them out as well, although she didn’t know it.
“Ji Hye.. I...” He couldn’t look at her, so he stared into his coffee instead. “I can’t see you anymore. It’s over... We’re over.”
The sound she made was an unearthly shriek, and Wonho’s head jerked up, startled. She didn’t look human anymore. She looked like a rabid dog that had been kicked.
“NO! YOU ARE MINE! YOU BELONG TO ME! YOU’RE MINE!” She was rounding the table and Wonho was frozen in shock when her father finally grabbed her. Wonho watched, eyes wide, as her father struggled to drag her outside, to the car that was waiting. She was small but she put up a hell of a struggle. His eyes met her mothers.
“We’re sending her to Ireland to finish her university. We ask that you not contact her again.” She said softly, before walking out the door. She didn’t wait for a reply, because she didn’t need one. She knew Wonho would stay away.
And he would. He would never allow anyone to get close again. Not when he could cause them such pain. It was better if he was alone. This could never happen again.

Jaehwan
He stretches a bit, leaning back against the relatively unoccupied wall he’s chosen – he pulls out his phone and fiddles with it a bit, glancing over his text conversation with Wonho indicating the location and timing of their arrangement. Jaehwan is always early to his appointments – rather by a silly amount, even, but that’s militaristic upbringing for you – so he doesn’t really expect his friend to arrive until about 15:00 on the dot, maybe even a bit later. With one earbud in his ear and the other dangling into space, he can easily kill time with a rhythm game on his phone – better than being caught playing My Horse Prince, which he’ll be damned if he admits he’s been playing just to see how ridiculous it gets.
Wonho didn’t want to be late, so he had arrived early. He stood awkwardly outside of the pc room for a moment, before deciding to go ahead and go inside. He could just reserve two seats for them and wait for Jaewhan.
He was excited. As long as he had lived in Incheon, he had been a bit separate from others, what with his.... abilities. And Jaehwan had been a really fun online friend. So finding out they lived nearby each other was like a ray of sunshine.
“I’m here a bit early, so I will find two computers to reserve for us!” He sent the text and headed inside. He waited for the elevator to come down, and looked at his Kakao again, to see if Jaehwan had checked it yet. He was unbelievably nervous suddenly. Sure, they were friends online... but what if they didn’t get along well offline? Wonho fidgeted impatiently, waiting for the response as he got into the elevator, eyes glued to his cell.

Hansol~
“Come. We can get out of here.” He pulls slightly, but not hard- just enough to get Wonho to follow. He drops a bit of money on both tables as he goes- enough to pay for what they ordered. He doesn’t really mind paying for Wonho- won’t ask for payment back. When they’re both outside he finally glances back at Wonho.
“You can lead the way!” There’s another soft laugh. “Ah… But… I’m curious about your… glamour? Is there a problem with it dropping? I mean, other than people staring…” He mumbles a little more now. “I… Sort of thought it was beautiful.”
Wonho is almost dazed as he follows Hansol out of the resturant. It’s been so long, so very very long since he’s been touched by anyone, and his heart is pounding as Hansol firmly holds his hand.
“Ah... no... glamour is...” He stammers, unsure of how to explain what he can do. He’s never told anyone really, so he isn’t sure...
“What you saw... that’s my true form.. This, right now, this is glamour... Making the food in their look and taste and feel different... that was glamour...” He doesn’t know what else to say as he leads the way towards his apartment, hand still clutching tightly with Hansols. They’re almost there, in the staircase already when Hansol calls his true form beautiful. And reality slams into him again, and he jerks his hand out of Hansol’s violently. That word... that word means trouble.... He thinks of JiHye and tries to put distance between himself and Hansol. He won’t hurt him like that, he won’t be the cause of that again.
“I’m sorry! I.... That form... it’s... it’s dangerous...” He opens the door to the apartment, and motions Hansol to go first before he follows, suddenly aware of every inch between them. He leans against the closed door of the apartment.
“You.. you are the second person to see that form... And the last time... I was younger... I didn’t know and....” The memory is still fresh, still painful. It was just two years ago... He trembles slightly at the memory of JiHye, her body wasting away as she refused to eat.
He moves to sit at his desk, so that Hansol doesn’t feel trapped when he tells him this. He doesn’t know if Hansol will run, he hopes he won’t but he would understand if he did. After all, Wonho is dangerous, so who would stay?
He hugs his knees as he starts to tell the story.
“When I came  to Seoul... I started dating this girl in my university... It was starting to get serious and then one day, she stayed over.... During the night.. my glamour broke and she saw. She said the same thing you did... That I was beautiful. I was happy at first because I thought no one would accept that part of me. But soon, it was like she was obsessed. She only wanted to be around me, she would cry if I even left her alone in the room. So I... broke up with her. She was... She stopped eating, sleeping... She would follow me everywhere, begging me to change my mind or....” He trailed off, looking up at Hansol. “Her parents sent her abroad, Ireland. I heard she’s getting better but because of me....”
He waited a second more, trying to gauge Hansol’s reaction. “She was normal I guess... not like us... Mutants, right? But... if I could do that to her, just by looking at me, by touching me... Then I don’t know if you are safe... Even holding my hand... It’s dangerous... I can’t let anyone touch me or get close to me.... I...” He blushed and broke eye contact. “Of course I want to... be close with someone but... a...a  THING like me.... I should be locked up so I can’t hurt anyone... Beautiful? No.. I’m.. a monster.... I know this, I know all of this but I still want...”

“your apartment…?” she’s a beacon of disbelief, even as she eyes the folder he has. this could be a trap─ she’s not a stranger to being suspicious of simple things like that. “if every burglar told the authorities such a thing, none of them would be caught!” she huffs, looking from him to the folder and back again as she tries to decide her course of action. innocent until proven guilty─ he’s already guilty in her eyes, but─ call it sympathy, call it foolish─ she holds out her empty hand.
“let me see.”
He very carefully and slowly hands the folder with the contract to her, as well as his national id card and student id. He shuffles back a little bit while she looks, because honestly she looks kind of like she’d sock him in the face and he really would rather not be punched in the nose today.
Actually, he feels almost a bit irritated, just because it’s been a bad day and now Sailor Moon here wants to call the police on him or something. She means well, he supposes but still why /him/ of all people? It’s his apartment so was he really doing anything wrong? He sighs agitatedly to himself. Of course she wouldn’t know it’s his apartment. How on earth could she? She was simply doing what any good citizen would do.
So he waited patiently as she went over the documents and just prayed to whoever was listening that he wasn’t about to be beaten up by this tiny girl.

Law Abiding Citizen
@advdean
Wonho had decided he was going to practice his glamour. With all the things that had happened recently, it was time to start making himself stronger, in any way he could. Now he had someone to protect, after all. So of course, this was the logical next step. He had searched the city for places that were isolated, empty, and most importantly, large. And earlier that day he had come upon this abandoned warehouse. It was perfect, although a bit creepy. But it didn’t matter, he knew he could change it to look nicer if that’s what he wanted. He wanted to see how much he could push himself. So he started small, glamouring the area around him into a small meadow. Slowly, he began to build on the illusion, pushing out into the corners of the warehouse.
A stream, trees, a couple of birds in the trees.... He turned in circles, surveying his work, looking for any imperfection that would make the illusion break. Suddenly he heard a noise behind him, one that wasn’t part of his glamour illusion. The glamour disappeared in an instant, and Wonho whirled towards the sound, heart pounding, ready to try to try to intimidate who ever had caught him. But as his eyes landed on where the sound had come from, he froze. He knew, instinctively, that this person couldn’t be intimidated by illusions.
Recently, Wonho had made a ton of mistakes. But this.... this one was the worst. The man in front of him now shook him to his core. This person was dangerous, a single look at him and Wonho knew without a doubt that he had to tread carefully. Especially in an area as remote as this.  He tried to hold his ground but....
“By any chance, could we just forget this happened? Could you maybe just let me go?”

hansoladv:
And suddenly, Hansol finds himself unable to look away. The illusion snaps and, if only for a split second, Hansol sees the truth. A slight gasp escapes his throat despite how strongly he’s been working to hide his emotions. This stranger is beautiful. There’s nothing Hansol could even begin to deny about that. Hansol himself is an ugly demon when he uncovers his eyes and fangs, but this man is truly a piece of art. Hansol would be willing to say those things too, but he’s good enough about biting his tongue. If the stranger feels a need to hide then surely there’s a reason for it. He won’t comment on the appearance, no. He won’t say a word. He drops his glance for a moment- letting out a breath he was very unaware he was holding. Some mutations just aren’t fair.
“Shin.. Shin Ho Seok... But you can call me Wonho.” He had heard the slight gasp when his glamour had failed, and his heart raced for some reason. He tried to calm himself. He had already scared this guy, this Hansol. And right now, the last thing he wanted was for Hansol to leave.
He watched as Hansol moved towards the sink he was leaning on. He wasn’t sure if he could hold himself up yet, his energy was low enough that he wondered if he could make the walk home. So he watched as Hansol removed the lenses he wore, and tried to suppress a gasp of his own. Maybe it was because Wonho’s own eyes were strangely colored and shaped, but Hansol’s eyes were mesmerizing to him for some reason. It felt hard to look away, and he wondered why as Hansol reached out to him.
It took him a moment to realize what Hansol was saying, and then the words tumbled from his lips before he could think more of it.
“Yes, of course I’ll agree to trust you.” The words brought a strange sense of calm to Wonho and he reached out to take Hansol’s hand. “I don’t think I should be in public for much longer, or my glamour will drop again. If you know a better place to talk where we won’t be seen... I’ll follow you... or... I have an apartment nearby...” He trailed off, his thoughts jumbled If this person was like him, did the same rules apply? If they were similar, then... was he immune to the harm Wonho could cause? It felt like Wonho was hoping for too much, and the thought that he could somehow be dangerous to Hansol was concerning. He needed to tell Hansol before his glamour dropped again. But what would he do if Hansol ran? Right now, in this state, he couldn’t chase him. In the end, of course, he would trust Hansol.
“I’ll follow you where ever it is that you want to go.”

but trouble always lurks once the sun goes down.
the noise catches her attention first. then it’s the shadow in the space beside the building. when she casts the light down towards the abnormality, naeun isn’t caught by a spark of fear or anything of the sort. what she feels is the need to step in and stop the crime before it could escalate further.
“hey! step away from that window or i’ll call the cops!”
Wonho was halfway in his window already, legs flailing out over the second floor balcony as he heard the shouts. It was two late to really do much anyway, so he pulled himself inside. At least if he could change the batteries or... find his house contract... or just... if he was inside he could prove it was his house!
Or so he hoped. He tumbled onto the floor and stood up quickly. He rushed towards the door to change the batteries, and then grabbed his file folder that had the contract in it, before going downstairs.
He tentatively peered out of the apartment, towards the area that he had heard the shouts. To Wonho’s surprise, it was a girl. She was a bit shorter than him, rather petite, but he honestly didn’t want to see what she was capable of if she got angry. He slowly stepped towards her, his hands raised.
“Look, I can explain about the window. Its my apartment, I promise. I have all the details in this folder, so just... calm down please. You really don’t need to call the cops.”

The Risk I Took was Calculated, But...
@advxnaeun
It had been the longest week of his life. And now, it was even worse. After a really bad shift, he had come home to find out that the electronic door to his apartment was out of battery. It was too late to call a locksmith, and that would be expensive anyways as the locksmith would simply replace the entire lock.
So here he was, standing outside and staring up at his second floor balcony window. If he could get inside, he could just change the batteries and avoid a lot of problems. Or at least, he hoped so. He glanced around the apartment complex and was happy to see that no one was out this late. It was 3 am, after all, and this was a sleepy part of the city. So he started climbing up the side of the building. He managed to get onto the small ledge beneath his window when he realized the window was slightly jammed. He began trying to jiggle it loose, and was making pretty good progress when he heard what sounded like a twig snap below. He stopped for a moment, and then realized how this must look to someone else. He quickly pushed the window open a bit more and began to climb in. He was halfway inside, his feet still dangling outside the window, when he heard a shout.
“Ah crap This is not going to end well.”

Just Bro Things
@advkeybum
Wonho slumped down in the chair behind the counter. Work had been a pain today and he was so ready to go home. From customers spilling soda on the expensive keyboards, to high school students that wouldn’t get out after curfew, Wonho had dealt with too much bs that day. The door dinged and he stood up to welcome another customer, his retail smile plastered on his face.
Instead he saw Key, his friend and coworker. His smile changed to a real one in an instant.
“I’m so glad to see you. The afternoon shift was hell!” He whispered as soon as Key was behind the counter. “Some kid spilled a soda on one of the new keyboards, and it’s totally ruined. The boss is going to be so mad about that. Then at 10, when I was checking ids, some high school kid refused to leave for around 15 minutes. I thought I was going to have to physically throw him out the door. He tried to pick a fight with me like it’s my fault that the government set a curfew for high school kids! Can you believe it?!”
After he finished his mini rant, he flopped down into the chair and looked up at Key. “But aren’t you early today? My shift still has like an hour left. Why so early?”

“Oh shit,” She whispered before going on her knees beside him. “I am so sorry you had to see any of that. I honestly thought no would go this way but I guess I was wrong.”
She honestly felt bad for the guy and the comment made her laugh but she covered her mouth to stop the sound from coming out. Obviously she failed miserably at it but it only confirmed that he saw her in her cat form after all, and got a show in the process. She always thought most men would enjoy it but here was prime example that not everyone would enjoy it. To each its own she guessed.
“Let me help you up,” She stood up again and held out her hand for him to take.
He wasn’t sure if he should take her hand, as he was in fact, scared out of his mind. But she seemed nice enough... even if he had just watched her turn from a panther into a naked woman. She was clothed now, at least. He shakily stood up, backing away a few steps in the process.
“W..What are you?” He asked tentatively. He wondered if he should reveal himself to her as well. He decided to hold that information off, unless she tried to attack him. Revealing his own powers that quickly seemed like a bad idea, the more people that knew about him, the greater the chances were that something would go wrong for him.
He wondered how he appeared to her in this moment. Shocked? Curious? Scared? He supposed he was a bit of all of them. The past few weeks, strange things had been happening, but if you had told him that he would see an animal turn into a woman in the streets of Incheon, he wouldn’t have believed it. He wasn’t sure he believed it now

to be honest, he had assumed he was at the main entrance, but now he found it increasingly more complex than he had expected. at a loss of words, he lets out a soft laugh, and meets the friendly student’s eyes.
“yes, i’m minhyung!” he continues, slipping the map back into his pocket, “i’m not particularly sure why i was told to come here, actually…i might just be on the wrong side, for all i know.”
mark trails off lightly, looking at his surroundings. it was a pretty huge establishment, so it did seem relatively plausible that he had entered the wrong way.
“thank you for taking the time to be a guide, though!” he flashes a nervous smile, gaze wavering.
“Ah, no, you’re at the right gate. The professor said main gate, and this is it. But when you attend classes, it’s probably faster to come in from the side gate.” Wonho thought for a moment before continuing. “They probably told you main gate this time so that you could see all of campus first. This is where most tours start anyways.”
He waved Minhyung towards him as he started walking back through the gate. “Follow me, and I’ll give you the campus tour. It’s my first time doing this, so if I go too fast or you get confused, just stop me.”
He tried to walk slowly, weaving in and out of the students rushing around. He pointed to a building on the right of the main gate. “That’s the gymnasium, and the sports field. Be mindful if you walk close to the field, cause sometimes there are stray soccer balls, and being hit in the face isn’t great when you’ve got a class directly after.”
After a few more minutes of walking, he pointed out three buildings together. “Those are the main library, the student union and the information center. There are cafes in the student union.... Our buildings are just ahead.”
Once he reached the humanities buildings, he pointed to the right. “Down there are some auditoriums and lecture halls, which you may have to go to. And that way,” he pointed straight ahead,”is the side gate. There are also dormitories down there, if you plan to live on campus.”
He turned to look back at Minhyung. “I think I’m meant to take you to see the professor now, so we should go inside now, unless you have any question?”
