Starting tomorrow evening I will be going live (5pm. EST.) each Monday here on Instagram. Aside from keeping you ghouls updated on what’s ahead (as well as happening) on the ACWNN timeline, I’ll be playing (among some selected covers) songs ranging from my solo material all the way back to the deepest depths of the Blitzkid catalog. There’s quite an assembly of origins, inspirations and back stories lurking behind those creaking, rusted gates! All that being said- these weekly gatherings aren’t intended to be (nor will they become) a static platform for me to play host to my own little world. Id much rather give you guys the keys to the hearse, take your questions, and be a guest in YOUR world’s during those times assembled. What was my first instrument you ask? What horror kept me out of my attic as a kid, you say? Want to challenge me to write a song about the Loveland frogman right there on the spot (warts and all)? Who knows?! And should you want to join the discussion-I’ll end each week with a shout out to a horror movie on my personal favorite list whose merits or deficits we can talk about the following week. One thing this lockdown has enabled me to do is start mapping out ideas for more musical scores. Today marks the 100th anniversary release of the silver screen's quintessential adaptation of Dr. Jekyll and Mister Hyde, and in honor of that- @officialblitzkid are continuing our series of silent screen homages with this exclusive Mr. Hyde/Blitzbat mashup shirt- complete with potion bottle lettering (brewing with Jekyll's mysterious purple formula), a nod to Hyde's hideous green skin, as well as the notorious film villain's trademark shaggy locks and dark slouch hat. The back design features our LONG LIVE THE HORROR mantra in period Victorian lettering, as well as a titlecard themed print tag saluting its original 1920 release date. We’re sorry to announce that due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, and moreover the growing restrictions placed by the federal government upon events and gatherings, @officialblitzkid are left with no choice but to reschedule our Escape The Grave Tour dates which were scheduled to begin next month. BUT FEAR NOT, TRUE BELIEVERS! We have already begin the process of moving the entire tour into the fall, and most of the dates are near confirmed! As it stands, very little will change in relation to our routing and the cities/venues in which we were scheduled to appear. We are also extending the tour to now include dates in the Pacific Northwest! We hope to have the rescheduled dates ready to announce within the next 2 weeks, but hopefully sooner. All existing ticket and VIP holders will be honored so hang onto them! We’re really sorry to have to postpone like this. We held out as long as we could- but even if federal mandated were not preventing us from giving it a shot,we could not in good conscience risk exposing our fans and friends to any potential harm. And if catching Blitzkid on a cool autumn night isn’t already a step up, wait until you see the rad hoodies we can now bring! For now- be safe out there. Take care of yourselves.
