Electric Love Part 11 (FINAL PART) | Luca Balsa x Reader Fanfic
You pass out, wake up in the same place as last time and the announcer explains the rules like last time. You start to realize the pattern and unlike last time, now you know what to do and who to avoid. You quickly go to a cipher, start decoding it and halfway, your heart starts beating fast. From the last game you remember what this meant and quickly hid in the locker. You realize that since you're the survivor, he must be the hunter, as if it wasn't obvious at this point. The hunter seems to be looking around, he may have heard the sound of you decoding the cipher. It looks like he walked away so you get out of the locker and get back to decoding. Once you decoded the cipher completely, you feel your heart beating again and you start running away. You knew that the same trick wouldn't work twice in a row. The hunter sees you and starts chasing you. You go to the central building and hop over the wall, look back and realize that the hunter is very slow when vaulting over these tight spaces. You use this to your advantage and find as many crowded places as you can. You get extremely lucky because most of the passageways have pallets leaning against the walls, almost like they were set there before the game. You seem to be doing well distracting the hunter and suddenly you hear the alarm go off. From the last game you remember that this meant all the ciphers had been decoded, so you start making your way towards the exit gate. All seems to be going well but you don't see any pallets, nor walls to vault over and the hunter's catching up to you. You see the gate and become hopeful, but all of a sudden the hunter hits you with the sword, wounding you heavily. You start panicking, but you try your best to run towards the exit gate. The hunter is again right behind you and you know you wouldn't make it in time. You pray for a miracle to happen but nothing seems to work. You can hear the hunter's footsteps very close and all of a sudden, there is a spark of light and the hunter seems to be electrocuted. You suddenly see Luca and he grabs your hand and you both start running towards the gate. Thanks to Luca, you both make it to the gate and you see the Doctor and the Gardener waiting for you two. All of you get out of the factory and are once again taken back to the manor.
Back at the manor the other survivors thank you for distracting the hunter. They saw you running away from it for quite a while.
"Luca, can I ask.. what the hell was the thing you did!" You ask, amazed.
"I.. don't know? I noticed that I was able to do it when decoding a cipher. It just.. came to me!" He tells you. You look at him with stars in your eyes. All of you celebrate the fact that everyone made it out alive and you throw a little party. You wonder how many games it will take for you to get home. Maybe this is better than home. Maybe you don't want to go back anymore. Maybe this is just where you belong now.

"I saw Luca entering your room last night! Did you two fight? I heard the bed creaking and it sounded like you guys were screaming or something!" She tells you, being absolutely clueless.
"Oh! Uhm, yeah we had a small argument but all is settled!" You try to cover it up, acting like nothing else happened. She congratulates you two for settling your disagreements and smiles. She sits down, grabs a pear, peels off the skin and starts eating it. You hear the door open once more and you see Luca almost limping out of your room.
"Luca are you alright!? How physical did the fight get?!?" She asks, worried.
"Uhh, it's nothing to worry about!" Luca answers. You all chat for a while about yesterday and wonder what happened to Andrew. Not long and you hear another door open, but there shouldn't be anyone else. In the room walks a woman, dressed in a doctor's clothing and you realize that she is the replacement for Andrew. You greet her and ask for her name.
"The name's Emily Dyer! And you?" She responds.
"My name's [Y/N], this is Luca, and this is Emma! Glad too meet you Emily!" You answer. You all exchange reasons with her on why you're here and she seems to have a similar reason. Emma explains to her what happened to the person she was replacing and she seems to be saddened by this. After a little chit chat session the woman in the maid dress walks in the room and announces that the next game is about to start. You wonder how many games there are going to be until you receive the prize but decide not to question her, since it's probably classified as well. Like last time she takes you to the same room where you were knocked out last time, and explain to the Doctor what's about to happen. You brace yourself for the gas and once again after the woman walks away, the gas starts flowing in.

You wonder if Andrew really died or if it was some sort of show. All this stress is making your head hurt and you wish you hadn't signed up for this. You hear a knock on the door and tell the person to come in, assuming it's the woman from last time. The door opens and to your surprise, in comes Luca.

You roam around the factory and eventually stumble into him, but he's strapped onto some kind of chair with rockets attached to it. All of you run towards him and help him get out of it. He gives you the last part of the password and you patch him up with the Gardener and Luca. He thanks you and you start heading towards the exit gates. All is going well until the Grave Keeper suddenly lets out a groan. You look behind you and you see the Grave Keeper on the ground, bleeding out. You see the person from earlier standing behind him, eyes glowing red. Before you can react, the bad guy grabs Andrew and walks back towards the chair you got him off of earlier. You want to help him but you know you are no match to the big person with the sword. You, Gardener and Luca look at Andrew being strapped to the chair and this time, the chair suddenly launches to the sky and blows up, most likely killing Andrew in the process. You stand there, awestruck, filled with sorrow. Suddenly your heart starts beating quick and you realize the person is coming for you now. You grab Luca's hand and you all start running towards the exit gate on the other side of the factory. After a good while you make your way to the exit gate and start typing in the password. You try to be fast but also try not to mess up. You manage to type in the password and the gate opens, but you feel your heart beating almost so fast it jumps out of your chest and at this point you already know why that is. You run through the exit gate and all the 3 of you manage to leave the factory safely. You get in some sort of wagon and you're brought back to the manor you were in earlier.

"What's up [Y/N]..?" He asks you.
"Y-you smell really nice.. and you're… very-" And before you can finish, the "someone" comes around the corner, you see it's huge sword in the other hand and realize that he's up to no good. You grab Luca's hand and start running. You feel your heart beating really fast and don't dare to look behind you. You see some pallets leaning against the walls of these narrow passageways. You pass the pallet and decide to pull it down to slow down the person chasing you. You're still holding Luca's hand and make it inside of this big building.
"That was close, like, really close!" You tell Luca, while completely out of breath.
"It sure was! If it wasn't for you I don't think I would've noticed him!" He says while gesturing a sign of appreciation. You look into his eyes and tilt your head.
"Y-you sure like h-holding my hand, h-huh [Y/N]?" He stutters. You see him looking away and taking his hand out of yours and hiding his face.
"Oh sorry! You've just caught my attention and I really think you're cute.." You speak again without thinking twice. Luca pulls his shirt over his head and tries his best to hide his adorable face that's completely red now, thanks to your compliments. You just cannot help but to smile at how cute he acts. You give your hand to him and instruct to keep moving so you can get out of this cursed place. You return to the cipher you were at earlier and cannot see the person anywhere so you continue decoding it. You manage to fully decode it and decide to try and find the other survivors. You and Luca keep walking around, trying to find either the Gardener or the Grave Keeper. You almost give up but then you see a person in a florist apron and straw hat and realize it's the Gardener. You wave at her and both you and Luca run up to her.
"Have you or the Grave Keeper decoded any of the ciphers yet?" You ask her.
"I decoded one, and while we were decoding one together he told me he would go look for another cipher to decode. I came here right after the decoding thinking he'd be somewhere around here, but I assume you guys haven't seen him either?" She tells you.
"Oh no, we haven't seen him. Me and Luca decoded one cipher and based on the results we need to decode 5 of them in total, meaning that once the Grave Keeper decodes that one cipher we'll have one left!" You inform her. She nods and all of you start running around, trying to find the last cipher. You follow the yellow light attached to the tall pole and get to it after a while. All of you start working on the decoding and manage to crack the last cipher. To get the final part of the password you go look for the Grave Keeper.

You wake up in a factory-looking environment with broken walls everywhere. Suddenly you hear a voice speak through a bunch of speakers built all around the place.
"Welcome Survivors! I'm sorry we have to knock you out every time we take you somewhere, but we have to keep everything a secret! Anyways, the game is about to start and I will now explain the instructions. Your goal is to escape this factory, and to do that you need the password for both of the exit gates! To find it out, you need to decode all the ciphers located around the place. If you fail to escape… Nevermind, just focus on the game! Good luck Survivors, and have fun!" The voice announces. You get worried about what the announcer said at the end, but it just motivates you further to escape. You see this yellow light attached to some kind of tall pole and decide to head towards it. You see some kind of machine, assume that it's the cipher and immediately get to work.
While you're decoding the cipher you hear someone running towards you and quickly hide. You see a man in prison clothing and realize that it's Luca. You come out of your hiding place and wave at him.
"Oh hi [Y/N]! Glad to see you here, I was just being chased by the someone and looks like they lost me!" He said while panting.
"Chased by.. someone?" You ask trying not to sound scared.
"Yeah it looked like a big fellow! It must be the bad guy preventing us from escaping!" He told you, with a smug on his face like he just figured out the whole game. You advice him to help you decode the cipher and you both get to work. You look over at Luca and he looks so cute when he's focusing on something. Despite his almost-torn clothes and the fact that he looks like a homeless person, he smells very nice. You completely forget to keep working on the cipher and you tap Luca on the shoulder.

"The name's Luca, Luca Balsa! And you?" He almost yelled, filled with this odd joy-like energy.
"T-the name's [Y/N].. Nice to meet you Luca!" You responded. He looked at you up and down and looked like he was pondering something.
"What's up…?" You ask.
"I'm trying to wonder, what is your role here? I've noticed that both of these fellows are dressed in clothing that gives it away immediately, but yours I can't make out!" He states, slightly confused.
"I'm a [Your role of choice]!" You answered after a bit of thinking, not almost realizing it at first.
"Ohhhh!!! Yeah I see it now!" He reacts, with an adorable surprised-ish realization look in his eyes. You almost get lost in his eyes but the gardener speaks out;
"W-would you like me to do introduce myself as well..?" She mutters out. You nod.
"My name is Emma W-woods! I'm the Gardener as you probably already n-noticed, nice to m-meet you [Y/N]!" She says. The slender, grave keeper goes after her;
"My name is Andrew Kreiss, I am, as you also probably noticed, the Grave Keeper." He says in an almost monotone voice. You shake both of their hands and you grab an orange off the basket on the table.
"Sooooo… what brought you here..?" Luca speaks out to you, almost surprising you. You explain to him your situation on how you need to quickly get money or you're screwed.
"Ahh I see, so all of us are here because of the huge money prize? Well, not surprising since it is quite a lot of money haha!" He voices. You can't get your eyes off him, and you just keep staring at him. He looks at you and tilts his head.
"Is there something on my face? Are you alright? Am I alright? Are we alright?" He blabbers and laughs a bit. You jump up a slight bit, coming back to reality and think about what the hell you're doing right now.
"Ahh my apologies, I didn't mean to stare. You just have really nice eyes." You say without thinking. He smiles wide and energetically responds;
"AWWW! You really think so!?" He loudly asks, flattered and almost tearing up. You realize what you said to him and wonder what's wrong with you. You awkwardly nod and continue eating. You know you just met this man but you feel so attracted to him you cannot stop bothering him. Before you can finish eating the orange, the same woman from earlier instructs all of you to follow her so the game can start. All of you get up and follow her to an empty room and get confused. You start asking questions from the woman but she leaves the room, locks the door and walks away. You all start panicking and suddenly you see some sort of gas being pumped in the room. You try to not inhale it but end up doing it anyways. Everything goes black once again.

This letter raised more questions than it answered. You shrugged it off because who are you going to ask anyways, it's not like there was anyone with you. Until, a person knocked on the door, asking to come in. You gave permission and they open the door. In came a young woman with dark brown hair, hazel eyes and a maid dress.
"You seem to be awake Survivor!" The woman stated.
"Yes, where exactly am I…?" You asked her.
"That information is not something for me to give to you!" She said with a smile.
"Alright well, can I ask what kind of game is this?" You query her.
"The instructions are going to be told before the game starts!" She happily answered.
"Uhhuh… do you have something to ask me or why are you here?" You try to ask without sounding rude.
"Just wanted to make sure you're awake. You should go eat breakfast with the other survivors!" She instructed you. You were excited to meet the people you were playing with, so you quickly walked down the hallway, into the biggest room which you assumed was the dining room. In front of you there was a long table, and on it was all kinds of food, varying from sandwiches and fruits to full blown 5 star dishes. Sitting around the table were 3 people, 2 men and 1 woman. The woman looked like a gardener, with a straw hat and a florist apron. She had brown hair and green eyes, she looked pretty young, not too young but around your age. Then the other man looked somewhat like a grave keeper, long black clothes and a depressing vibe. He had long blonde hair, a very slender face and slightly red eyes, which you were confused about since you'd never seen that colour in someone's eyes before. And the last person sitting on the table was a man dressed in prison clothes. You started to see a pattern here, everyone seemed to have a specific role. A gardener, a grave keeper and a prisoner. You looked at the prisoner and the more you looked, the more you fell in love with how he looked. He had beautiful long brown hair, depressing but attractive eyes and the expression on his face.. it was kind of smug but also very cute at the same time. He had this uneven, jutting-out fang and it was just so… adorable to you for some reason you could not stop staring at him. He gazed at you, smiled and waved. You noticed this and immediately looked away, shook your head and waved back, slightly embarrassed realizing how long you must've been looking at him for him to notice this. You sat beside him on the table and asked his name.

[The instructions given on the letter]
"Meet me behind the market today before the bell strikes, we will take it from there. :)"
You get a little suspicious on why it has to be at night, but the money comes to mind and your mind goes blank, only focusing on the money. You write a letter for your landlord so he won't be confused on why you're not answering the door. Time goes by and it's ten minutes until midnight, before the clock strikes. You put on your shoes and rush to the market. You arrive there, out of breath, looking for the person who wrote the instructions on the letter. You go behind the market and still nobody. You start thinking it was all a prank and that it's some stupid kid joking around, until you see black and realize someone has put a bag over your head. You feel 2 people grabbing you from the sides and carrying you somewhere. You try to fight back but to no avail. They are way stronger than you, a weak, poor student. You feel a needle in your neck, and stop the person from hurting you further but suddenly all goes to black and you pass out.
You wake up in a strange room, a room you've never seen ever before in your life. It has a wooden texture all around and it's very fancy. You wonder where the hell you are and the only thing you can think of is that it's the location for the game. You investigate the room thoroughly and find a letter on a desk, reading;
"Hello Survivor [Y/N], I apologize if my guys were too rough with you, they're very aggressive guys. Anyways, you might be wondering 'Where the hell am I!?', and I will explain everything. You are in… my manor! And uhm.. I don't have anything else to say other than, good luck for the games! :)"

You're being chased by a creature you have never heard of or even seen with your own eyes. You keep running and running but there seems to be no escape. Suddenly you see tall buildings and realize you are in a city. Taxis driving by and people walking past you. You wonder how they do not see the monster… the "creature" following you. You keep looking behind you to see if it's still there and every time you do so, it's there, menacingly just walking behind you, if you can even call it walking. Suddenly you unknowingly walk into an alleyway and it seems to be a dead end. You run as far as you can and try to look for ladders to climb or any kind of exit but… you realize there are none. You look at the creature, not sure what you're seeing, the only thing you know is that it's intentions are not good. You face the corner, curl into a ball and close your eyes. Seconds pass by, you wonder why nothing has happened.
You open your eyes and you see a white roof, you look around and you realize you woke up in your bed and that it was just a nightmare. You let out a loud sigh of relief. You look at the time and it's half past five in the morning, and you need to wake up at quarter till seven for school. You try very hard but cannot fall asleep so you get up and make yourself 2 cups of coffee, a sandwich and look out the window, at the dead silent, dark street. You down the 2nd cup of coffee while watching television. You're watching rich people doing rich people stuff and wished you had that kind of money as well, but it hurts to even look at your wallet, let alone your rent that's due. You're thinking about either taking up selling drugs on the street or ending it all, until you see an advertisement on the tv about a game with a prize so big you couldn't even imagine what you'd do with the money. At the end of the ad the narrator of it instructs you to call a phone number if interested, and you quickly take down the number. You call the number and look at your phone, hands shaking, sweat rolling down your forehead and your body trembling. You don't know why but something about it seems sketchy. A few seconds pass and someone picks up the phone. You hear a light, raspy voice.
"So you're interested in the game, huh?" The person on the phone asks.
"Y-yeah, I am!" You answer trying not to sound awkward.
"I see… This game.. it's very dangerous, you do know that, right?" The raspy voiced person further questions you.
"I don't really mind, I really, really, really need this money! How do I sign up?" You respond without thinking about it further.
Inaudible mumbling and pencil writing noises
A few seconds pass
"Got it. Survivor [Y/N], I will be in touch with you shortly." He says and hangs up. You look at your phone, confused how he knew your name but decide to not further investigate it. You really do need the money after all. You pack all your things and head to school. You learn history, mathematics and biology that day in school.
You come home at quarter over four in the afternoon, dead tired and you lie down on the sofa and let out a sigh. If you don't win the game you're going to fail school, lose all your belongings and be a nobody. Even more of a nobody than you currently are. You lie there for a while until there's a knock at your door. You get up, go to the door and open it, only to see nobody there. You look at the ground and realize there's a letter. You go inside, open it and realize there's directions to somewhere in it. You look at it confused, scratch your head and think who may it be, until you read it till the end and see "We will be waiting for you, Survivor [Y/N]." and you realize it's the game you were trying to attend. You jump around in joy, thinking you're going to win and be rich for the rest of your life. You look at the directions carefully.
