Reblogging this who haven't seen it already.
My dear Lions,
I regret to inform you all that I won’t be returning to the Academy in the fall. While I enjoyed my time there immensely and it breaks my heart to not be able to return, life occasionally makes those decisions for us. I may be passing this blog along to someone I trust or I may delete it. I have yet to decide that. If I do decide to delete the blog I will most certainly give you lot an update before I do.
I would have said something about all this sooner, but I’m currently undergoing chemotherapy for a condition called Apathic Anemia and I have been for a good portion of the summer. I haven’t quite been myself of late due to the medication.
I wish you all the best in your endeavors.

What can you tell me about advertising and the advertising students who go to AAU?
Mmn.. not much, I'm afraid. I don't actually know any advertising students myself.Anyone else care to fill in?

is there any "paintballers" or anyone who plays paintball who go to AAU? or events that students hold?
I'm sure there are, but I've never heard of any events. That might be something to suggest to Campus Rec.

I'm currently a junior in high school and will be attending AAU's summer program this year after hearing about it from my cousin who went last year. I haven't even been to San Francisco yet but I'm more than excited for the opportunity. I've always been into art but I'm not the best artist and feel like I have a lot to learn compared to other art students my age. I guess what I'm asking is, do you think I'll struggle to keep up with the curriculum? Is a lot expected right away from the students?
I can't say I really know a whole lot about the high school program, but I think so long as you actually try even the regular curriculum isn't that heard. Just keep up, don't fall behind, and do the work. Don't wait till the last minute and you should be fine.

Fashion merchandising from what I understand is basically the people who buy for department stores, they do styling, uh.. stuff like that. I am not the person to ask about it, to be honest.
Anyone have a better answer?

so I had this idea
Since this blog needs to be spread around more so people will start submitting things again I thought it would be cool to put up flyers about it in various campus buildings.
But then I would have to be all stealthy about it and shit otherwise this wouldn't be very anonymous anymore
so I said fuck that
anyone have any other ideas?

I'm moving to SF (I'm from South America) and attending AAU in the fall semester, for advertising. I was basically just wondering if it's worth it, if I'm gonna have a good time or not haha. Tough question, huh. I'm just sorta anxious and scared!
It's definitely worth it! Put you're mind to it and do the work and you get so much out of it. The school is really good at creating a great work atmosphere. It's natural to feel nervous and scared, but so long as you're doing what you really want and you put effort into it, you'll be happy.

Okay, Co-ed dorm! What about events? What's one thing that I should experience or see while i'm attending AAU? :D
Oooh... that's a tough one.. are you talking about school events or just events in the city?

I'v been trying to decide on: co-ed dorm or all girl dorm. I'm trying to get a feel for each, but there's really nothing online that's on a "personal experience" level. Do you have any advise, personal experiences, know, heard or have any stories? Any info would help. D:
Personally I can't say I've ever even been in an all girls dorm. Co-ed though, I enjoy. I think you get a better feel for the people you're surrounded by. Girl's dorms I would imagine are probably a little closer knit, just from the fact that it's all girls. It always seems like girls are closer when there aren't any guys around.
But personally, I quite like the co-ed.

what are the general opinions of student athletes?
I've heard mixed things, but from the majority of the ones I've met they're quite nice.

blessekum replied to your post: I wanted to ask this to see if you knew or not. Does the school offer health insurance to students? I can’t help but say I read somewhere that they did… but I can’t find it anymore. I may have it confused with something else. Thanks in advance!
It’s actually pretty expensive. The summer health insurance alone can be between 300-500 dollars, if I remember correctly. :/
For health insurance though, that's not all that terrible.

There is a program they offer, but it's not through the school. They just give you information on it. If you're going into the dorms and you don't have health insurance they give you the info packet and stuff for the company they have a contract with or whatever it may be.
I've heard it's not terrible, I can't recall the company's name though. I'm sure you can call the housing department and ask or it may very well be on the school's website.

Are there any good looking guys (preferable blond, that's just my taste) at AAU? What field of study do you feel has the most?
Well, actually to be quite honest I don't see very many blonde men around school. That however has many varying factors. As for which major, I'm not even going to try and answer that. Though if I had to pick one I could just be stereotypical and say Acting.
