Ibn al-Qayyim says:
If your hearts is at peace, your status will rise, and if you know yourself, what people say about you will not harm you.
Do not carry the worry of the world, for it belongs to God.
Do not carry the worry of sustenance, for it is from God
Do not carry the worry of the future, for it is in the hands of God.
Carry only one concern,
How to please God, because if you please God, He will be pleased with you, please you, suffice you, and enrich you.
Do not despair of a life that makes your heart cry.
Say, “O God, reward me with something good in this world and the hereafter.
Sadness leaves with prostration, and joy comes with a supplication.
God will not forget the good you have presented,
The worry you got rid of,
The eyes that almost cried!
Live your life on the principle of being charitable even if you do not receive charity, not for the sake of the people but because of God. He loves those who help others.
Loosen the grip of your hand with charity, and the ropes of misfortune will be loosened from your shoulders, and know that your need to offer charity is greater than the need of the person to whom you give charity.

عش حياتك على مبدأ;

A beautiful gift from a child to his parents.
Accountability begins when the child reaches puberty and Allah doesn't hold the parents responsible for the actions of their child. Any sin or action the child commits thereafter, the parents aren't responsible.
But,
no matter how old the child grows, for any good deed the child performs, the parents are rewarded and these good deeds are added up in their scales.
In the Hadith where our beloved prophet mentions the three acts that continue to benefit a deceased, our beloved prophet mentions, “A Pious Child that makes Dua for the deceased.”
Any bad act you commit won't harm your parents but any good act you perform will benefit them. Isn't it a beautiful way to be dutiful to our parents and express our love for them by increasingly adding good deeds to the scales!

Women Scholars in Islam
A couple of months ago when I was distributing away books in Indonesia on behalf of my University, I got to meet some amazing people and teachers and exchange some thoughts and words. One of the teachers I met was Ustadh al Baidawi who teaches at an institution where they've both male and female students. I asked him if the boys study well or the girls. He began laughing and said, “Of course it's the girls!!”
We bought laughed in mutual agreement because that's one undeniable truth.
It's our society where for some reasons we've  have come to believe that only men can become learned scholars of this Ummah.
There can be and have been Women Scholars in Islam. In fact the women went an extra mile in not just becoming great scholars themselves but they went on to give birth to, groom, nurture and guide the lil kids who became amongst the greatest scholars of Islam.
The story and legacy of Imam Ash Shafiee might be known to us but how many are aware that it was his mother who prepared him to travel to Madinah to meet Imam Malik and seek knowledge from him. She taught him the basics incase Imam Malik questions him, he should be able to reply. Imam Malik was known for his rigid nature and Ash Shafiee was a lil boy. He didn't accept Ash Shafiee as a student at first but when he tested Ash Shafiee, he accepted him and would make Ash Shafiee sit close to him. This was the wonder of the mother of Idris Ash Shafiee that turned him into whom the world remembers as 'Imam Ash Shafiee'.
The story and legacy of Imam al Bukhari might be known to us but how many are aware of his mother's tireless efforts and sleepless nights to groom her son Ismaeel al Bukhari into Imam al Bukhari whom the Ummah refers to as 'The leader of the believers in Hadith'.
The story of Imam Ahmed bin Hanbal and his legacy might be known to us but how many are aware of his mother who'd wake up in the cold chilling nights to warm up the water for Ahmed so that he does Wudhu for Fajr and sit in the gatherings of his teachers and turn into whom the world shall remember as 'Imam Ahmed bin Hanbal' who stood in the face of the tyrants all alone so that Islam wouldn't be altered.
The legacy of Sufyan ath Thawree might be known to those who are fond of reading Ahadith but how many are aware that it was his mother who encouraged him to gain knowledge by saying, “My beloved son! Focus on learning knowledge for I shall support you by weaving clothes.” Today Imam Sufyan ath Thawree is considered amongst the most authentic scholars of Hadeeth.

If you find that one friend who reminds you of Allah, never let them go and if you find that one unique friend who helps you leave sinning, consider yourself blessed because you're gonna come across people who'll point out your sins and belittle you but you'll rarely find a friend who'll accept you for who you're and helps you fight off the sins.

There's a sick person wishing for the sound health you possess.
There's an imprisoned person wishing for the freedom you own.
There's a childless person wishing for the children you're blessed with.
There's a jobless person wishing for the job you have.
There's a poor person wishing for the money you own.
There's a dead person wishing for the time you have.
Be grateful for what you own and look at those below you and not those above you so you realise the amount of blessings you open your eyes in.
You shall be questioned about these blessings.

Before you question a girl....
Before you question a girl, what are you gonna do after studying so much look at the Mother of the believers Aishah. She was the teacher of 350 greatest Scholars of Islam which included many Sahabah.
Before you question a girl, what are you gonna do after studying so much look at Fatimah al Fihriyyah who founded University of al-Qarawiyyin which is the oldest functioning University in the world standing since 1165 years.
Before you question a girl, what are you gonna do after studying so much look at what Napoleon had said, “Give me good mothers and I shall give you a great nation.”
Before you question a girl, what are you gonna do after studying so much look at what Malcolm X had said,
“The mother is the first teacher of the child. The message she gives that child, that child gives to the world.”
Before you question a girl, what are you gonna do after studying so much know that she is the foundation of a sound nation.

1.Malcolm Little just gave it a try and he became Malik el Shabazz (Malcolm X).
2.Cassius Clay Jr. just gave it a try and he became Muhammad Ali.
3.Banke Raam just gave it a try and he became Shaykh Zia ur Rahman Azmi.
4.Dennis Bradley Phillips just gave it a try and he became Dr. Bilal Phillips.
5.Joseph Estes just gave it a try and he became Yusuf Estes.
6.A man gave it a try and he became Shaykh Hussain Yee.
7.A man gave it a try and he became Ustadh Muhammad Tim Humble.
8.Cat Stevens just gave it a try and he became Yusuf Islam.
These are some of the most influential Muslims we are aware of in this era and they weren't born as Muslims. All they did was to give it a try and see what Islam spoke about. They did not blindly accept the biased information that was being spread.
Just give it a try and see why do you choose to follow Islam. You have freedom of choice to pick up your own destiny but you chose Islam. Why?
Did you think for a moment,
What makes me different from the rest of the people who don't follow Islam?
If no, then you aren't late.
May Allah bless you my dear brother/sister.
Aameen

The twelve months of the year are like the twelve sons of Prophet Ya'qub.
Prophet Yusuf was the most beloved to Ya'qub among his 12 sons and so is the month of Ramadan is the most beloved to Allah among the 12 months.
Allah forgave the 11 brothers by the Dua of one son, Yusuf. Similarly, He can forgive your sins of 11 months of sins by your Dua in Ramadan.

Rebecca: Islam's deaf preacher.
We've heard of Helen Keller. A famous American author who could speak, read and write despite the fact that she could not see or listen anything as she was blind and deaf.
Here, sister Rebecca reads Surah al Ikhlaas despite the fact that she cannot hear and speak and 9 people have accepted Islam through her efforts.
