07. A trip to the mall | < Previous | Next >
Your much too large house felt empty as you sat at your dining table, chin resting atop your hand as you stared at the laptop screen before you. You were glad you'd agreed to go to the mall with Sammy and their friends, even if you'd been reluctant to do so in the beginning. It was hard, moving from place to place, each new destination meaning you'd have to start over time and time again. Some people might've thought it a blessing to get to see the world as you did, but you were beginning to feel as if it were a burden.
This wasn't a new thought, not even slightly. You'd resented the idea of moving for some time now, ever since you'd had to leave Deagu and with it the boy you thought you loved. Hwang Hyunjin, that was his name. You'd only been in high school then, getting through the last of your exams and looking forward to the day you'd get to enrol in the university of your dreams. But, of course, that didn't happen. Otherwise, you wouldn't be here. You'd be with him - like you sometimes still wished you were.
You'd tried long-distance, the both of you promising to stay as close as you could despite the miles and miles between you. Evidently, that never occurred, though. He quickly realised that not seeing you until you were both done with uni and able to fend for yourselves just wasn't an option. You'd thought the same deep down, but you truly believed you loved him enough for none of that to matter.
He'd been your first everything, first kiss, first love, first heartbreak and just as the songs and poems professed, that never did go away. It was the foolishness that you'd felt afterwards that stung the most, though. You'd known this would happen, you'd known you'd have to move away, and yet you'd not let it stop you from falling. How stupid you had been to think you'd ever be able to retain a relationship when you were both worlds away.
Releasing a sigh, you paused the song you were listening to, removing the pink headphones from your head and placing them aside. Silence settled as soon as you'd done so, the only salvation from the white noise the soft pitter-patter of pawed feet. Your cat, a primarily white feline with smudges of beige and brown, was the only company you had on most days. She'd been a gift from your father, one of the many apologies he'd given you in the form of materialistic goods.
You wondered briefly if she was bored of moving too, only just getting enough time to settle before all three of you were packing up and commencing off in the direction of another place to call home for only mere moments.
The sound of your phone chiming pulled your attention from the kitty, your gaze falling upon the lit-up screen. A notification from Sammy greeted you as you reached to open your device, a smile tugging at your lips as you read 'outside!' and typed out a quick response. Slipping on your shoes, you collected your things, shoving them all into a tote bag as you left.
The walk to the end of your drive was a little longer than most, the overgrown grass making it hard to journey across the cobalt path. Cracks and crevises were filled with weeds and infestive greenery, your footing uneven as you pushed open the metal gate of your home. It creaked as you did so, alerting the familiar faces of your new friends from their place in the car.
"Heya, new girl." Sammy smiled, sticking a hand out the open window to wave you over. "You got a nice place." They commented, grin ever-present as they got out of their vehicle to open up the back door for you.
"Thanks." You laughed half-heartedly, returning the enthusiastic wave Mia gave you from her place in the passenger seat. There were notably fewer people than you'd expected, the only other person being Seungmin.
You couldn't lie, you'd hesitated to get in once you'd seen him cooped up in the backseat, legs extended across the area you'd soon be occupying. You'd not had the best first impression of the man, that was indisputable. His attitude left a slightly bitter taste in your mouth, but you weren't going to let a first opinion get in the way of your new forming friendships; even if you were reluctant to make them in the first place.
A smile lit up his delicate features once he'd detected you, body shifting rather quickly to give you room. You offered him a half-smile in response, ducking to get into the car and yielding Sammy a thank you once they'd shut the door behind you.
It was a little cramped, the vehicle being that of a vintage model you didn't know the name of, but you liked it; it had its charms. The inside was a mustard brown, the leather seating rasping mutedly beneath the weight of your body. The steering wheel was the thin kind, perfectly round and joined in the middle by three metal links.
You were surprised to find that it had a radio too, something which appeared to be a custom fit; speakers suitably placed along with it. CD's were crammed into every available space, artists you didn't recognise spread across the covers. A few were obviously mixtapes, the blank discs visible through the transparent plastic covering and the presence of black sharpie pen that scribbled hangul across the fronts.
"Excuse Sammy's music taste. They're going through a phase." Mia chuckled, eyeing you momentarily through the rearview mirror while Sammy got back into the driver's seat.
"Are you talking shit about my music again?" The blonde-haired driver enquired, sending the female a playful glare as they turned the key in the ignition. As they did so, the loud music started up once again, a mix between heavy metal and electronic exuding from the brassy speakers.
"She was." Seungmin chimed in from beside you, voice competing with the volume of the alternative music.
"I don't think it's all that bad." You shrugged, foot-tapping along to the beat of the song as you buckled up your seatbelt. You were an advocate for all types of music, enjoying the production more than the genre itself. Music told stories, the lyrics were the tales, and the tune was the atmospheric resonance that brought the story to life.
"Thank you! See, someone gets it." Sammy grinned, offering Mia a smirk. The girl stuck her tongue out in response, earning a laugh from everyone but Sammy as they shook their head. Turning the steering wheel and pressing their foot down against the accelerator, the four of you sped off in the direction of your destination, the open window sending a breeze through your hair.
Tumblr media
The car came to a creaking halt outside the large shopping mall, the four of you exiting the vehicle with an excited demeanour. You were particularly looking forward to the trip, knowing you'd soon be in the company of your favourite things; tubes of paint and other such art supplies. It was almost pitiful how quickly your day could be turned around by such a simple notion, but art stores felt more like home than any of the houses your father had ever afforded you.
"Everyone else is waiting for us inside," Sammy exclaimed, throwing their key's into their zip-up bag while their other hand pointed a finger in the direction of the front entrance. You nodded, trailing behind everyone else as you took in your new surroundings.
The building was expectantly large, plots of closed-off land homing tall trees to give the place a breath of life. Other such natural elements were also strewn across the concrete, flower beds and shrubbery attempting to distract from the vast industrial building that lay ahead. Its exterior was mainly glass, and the few walls that weren't had immense tv screens pressed against them, different commercials cycling the fronts of the construction.
"Never been to a mall before?" A male's voice asked from beside you, your head turning in the direction it came from. Seungmin had fallen a few steps behind, his feet moving in time with your own as he looked at you expectantly.
"Of course, I've been to a mall before." You quipped back, refraining from using a bitter tone as the four of you entered the building. Your gaze left Seungmin to once again inspect the impressive interior, tall ceilings opened up the room to give it an almost paradisiacal appeal. Natural light poured in from the glass roof, sending a golden hue across the reflective surfaces.
"Could've fooled me." He chortled, nudging you with a broad shoulder. You put some distance between the two of you, rolling your eyes at his following comment. "Hey, I don't bite, you know?"
"Could've fooled me." You mimicked his tone, eventually deciding just to quicken your steps as you caught up with the other two. Despite having agreed to be friends with Seungmin, it was blatantly apparent that he wanted to be anything but. What was even more evident to you, if anything could be more so, was that he wasn't your type.
You weren't the kind of person to think you could change someone, to believe that with a little bit of love, you could transform him into a soft-hearted romantic. Movies weren't reality, and tv shows weren't a reflection of life. You'd seen that first hand, the years and years of fighting between your parents as your mother fought for your father's attention, her greatest competitor; his job.
Even when she left, his focus never wavered. People didn't change, not unless they wanted to, and you had a suspicion that Seungmin had no intention of doing so.
That wasn't to say it mattered, though; you knew better now than to start relationships with people who were temporary fixtures in your life. It wasn't worth the eventual heartbreak.
"You hungry? We're gonna grab something to eat before we start looking around." Mia smiled, linking her arm with yours as you made your way through the malls ground floor.
Shops aligned each side of the walkway, wide entrances inviting passersby in with their loud music and array of carefully constructed window displays. People dipped in and out of the stores, paper bags hanging from each of their arms as they spent their time laughing and talking with the people that accompanied them.
"I could definitely eat something." You returned her smile, the distant aroma of various cuisines growing the further you walked. You began to differentiate between them the closer you got, a large hanging sign signalling the arrival of the food court.
The hustle and bustle grew with it as you entered its expanse, the large number of tables taken up by families and groups of teens. The tables were laid out in a sort of circle, with different restaurants and diners surrounding the collective of people in a fragrant grasp. You knew a few of the venues, though some remained unfamiliar.
"They do the best burgers here." Sammy chimed in, their hands clapping excitedly as they led you towards a far table. It was rather difficult to weave your way through them, the loud chatter reminding you of a high school cafeteria as you twisted through the maze-like arrangement. Familiar faces homed the benched table, their hands waving in your direction as soon as their heads lifted to spot you.
"About time you guys turned up." Minho rolled his eyes, hands clutching a menu as he shifted aside, making room for the new arrivals.
"Quit your yapping." Sammy flicked his forehead, ignoring the glare he sent in their direction. You released a soft giggle at their antics, taking a seat beside a beaming Felix, his expression ostensibly, permanently fixed with that of a wide grin. It was contagious, the happiness that seemed to radiate from him like the warmth that was emitted from the sun.
"Hey." He waved, picking up a menu from the sticky surface of the table. "You hungry?" He questioned, positioning it between you so you could see it.
You'd come to like Felix quite a lot, it was hard not to after all, but he also held a child-like ignorance to things. Perhaps the best way to explain him was not the smartest, but what he lacked in mental brightness he made up for with that radiant smile.
"A little." You nodded, fingers raising to tuck your hair behind your ear. "Do you have any recommendations?" You raised a brow, gaze leaving his face to survey the different food items. You quickly deducted it was a pretty standard burger joint, the American-style menu homing items such as shakes and varying sizes of burgers and hotdogs. Beneath each pictured item read a brief description, your attention fixing upon them for only a moment before moving onto the next.
"Can't go wrong with the chicken supreme." He pointed in the direction of said menu item, your gaze following suit.
"Don't listen to him; the bacon cheeseburger is way better." Seungmin chimed in from across the table, earning a hum of agreement from Mia and Sammy.
"That one is super good," Mia added, finger tapping her chin in thought as her eyes narrowed at the laminated menu. "Better than the double whopper, though? Not so sure."
"You guys are all freaks; the hotdogs are the best." Jisung scoffed, his arms crossed over his chest, and his menu placed aside in decision.
"Who chooses a hotdog over a burger?" Minho mumbled in complaint, shaking his head at his friend's comment, his stare not lifting from the menu in front of him.
"Yeah, you're weird." Seungmin mimicked the olders mannerisms, his eyes subconsciously travelling from Jisung to settle upon your features. You weren't paying attention, too busy engrossed in the formerly mentioned males defensive ramblings.
If he'd been listening, he might've laughed at how hot-headed he became over something so trivial, but instead, he was counting the lashes that kissed your cheeks every time your eyes lowered to the menu - your attention shifting back and forth as conversation flowed. He did it so thoughtlessly, simply taking in every little detail of your face as you laughed. The way your lips quirked upwards made him wish he could kiss them; the manner in which your fingers raised to tuck your hair behind your ear made him crave to take your place.
He wanted to be the one shifting your stray strands, wanted to feel your fingertips against his as he moved to intertwine your fingers. It was stupid; he knew that. To allow himself to feel this strongly about someone he barely knew was near insanity, but he wanted to change that. He longed to find out all the small things that made you, you. So far, he knew only frivolous facts, your favourite colour, your major, the shows you watched, but he wanted to know more than what lay upon the surface.
"All I'm saying is burgers are overrated, everything you can do with a burger you can do with a-" Jisung's explanation was cut short the moment Soojun reached up, fingers gently tugging at the male's chin to turn his face. Leaning in, he pressed a rushed kiss to his lips, rendering his boyfriend speechless - an action that earned a chorus of thankful cheers.
"Finally. I've never seen someone so passionate about a fucking hotdog." Minho scoffed, placing his menu aside with a shake of his head.
"What was that for?" Jisung mumbled sheepishly, looking up at Soojun with pink-tinted cheeks.
"You were rambling again, my love." He smiled, pressing a kiss to his cheek, further causing the blood in Jisung's face to rise. Grabbing the menu he'd placed aside, he hid behind the plastic-coated paper attempting to find solace behind its laminated defences.
Jisung and Soojun were also two people you'd come to like the more you'd spoken with them. The latter was similar to Felix in that he never stopped smiling, though you were positive that had more to do with Jisung than it did his happy disposition. The former was high-energy. That was the kindest way you could explain his constant rants about everything and nothing all at once. He had a lot to say, and he said it all with a dramatic tone and a passionate expression.
The friend group had a melodic dynamic, each personality seemingly fitting well with the next. Minho was a man of few words, his rare statements usually accompanied by a snappy tone and a curse word or two. He found the strangest things funny, too, laughing at all the wrong times and joking about things you probably weren't supposed to jest about.
Mia matched his temperament well, putting him in his place where she saw fit. She had an attitude about her, but it wasn't the kind you'd come to dislike in most people; she was still kind and held a sweet smile on her lips whenever she said something that might've been perceived as rude if it were anyone else.
Sammy, although not as strong in their presence, still had leadership qualities that would lead anyone to the assumption that they were just that. They had a welcoming demeanour, one that had made it difficult for you to brush them away as you'd wanted to. It was apparent they were very much a people person, wanting everyone to feel comfortable.
Lastly, of course, was Seungmin, but you'd done enough cross-examining on him. He was cocky and held an entitlement that you just couldn't shake. Though, all at the same time, he seemed to have a story of his own behind those brown eyes, which, upon inspection, you were surprised to find were glancing in your direction.
He blinked when your gazes met, his attention shifting back to the menu in his grasp as if it were suddenly rather interesting.
"What's everyone getting, then?" Sammy broke through the hum of chatter, standing with their wallet in hand and phone in the other.
Tumblr media
Sipping your cola through the straw, you listened to the conversation that flowed between the group. Lunch had been as delicious as they promised; the food you'd ordered resulted down to the paper packaging it arrived in - its containment a crumpled pile beside you.
"That reminds me, you wanna come to our party next week, new girl?" Sammy smiled, to which you briefly contemplated the offer. You'd not been to a party before. When it came to your previous friends, they tended to be the type that resided in libraries and coffee shops rather than homes swarming with drunken young adults.
"Come on, you gotta!" Soojun chimed in, fingers plucking up some of the fries on Jisung's plate before dipping them in some ketchup and placing them in his mouth. His boyfriend shot him a playful glare, hand moving the paper plate away from him protectively.
"Ah, sure, why not." You laughed softly, fingers raising to tuck your hair behind your ear as you sucked the last of your cola up through your straw, discarding it in the bin along with the rest of your litter.
"Perfect." Sammy clapped their hands together, briefly checking the time on their phone before nudging Mia. "Ready to hit hot topic?" They gleamed, causing the girl to nod her head, an excited grin crossing her features.
"Sure, you guys coming?" Mia addressed everyone else, standing from the table. You mirrored her actions, sliding the tote bag back up your arm to rest it against your shoulder.
"I figured I'd show y/n to the art store before it closes," Felix responded, picking up his rubbish and discarding it.
"I'll come." Minho shrugged, placing his rucksack over his back as he stood.
"Aright, cool, what about you three." Mia enquired, looking between Soojun, Seungmin and Jisung.
"Soo and I are watching a movie." Jisung grinned.
"Oh nice, what you watching?" Felix questioned, face lighting up at the pair's plans.
"Venom two," Jisung spoke, his hand reaching out for his boyfriends in a manner that appeared subconscious.
"You're watching venom two!" The Aussie protested, mouth ajar and eyes wide as he slowly turned to you. His expression changed to that of a child about to ask their parent for another piece of candy, his gaze twinkling with a childish hope mixed with an apologetic mien.
"Go ahead. I'm sure I can find my way around." You spoke right away, a giggle passing your lips. You didn't want to keep Felix away from the movie he so clearly wanted to watch, you weren't about to be the person who swept that warm smile from his lips, not even for a moment.
"I can take you; I was gonna check out the music store anyway. It's right next door." The voice that spoke had you turning in their direction, your brows raising when your stare fell upon Seungmin.
If you were being honest, you'd rather find your own way, allowing yourself to spend as long as you wanted within the walls of the art store but there was something about his giddy grin and willingness to help that had you nodding in defeat. "Oh, I mean, yeah, sure, that's fine." You gave him a tight-lipped smile in response, fingers clutching the straps of your tote bag a little tighter.
"Meet you guys back at the car?" Sammy questioned, already making their way back through the sea of dining tables.
"See you later." You nodded affirmatively.
Tumblr media
Your eyes were filled with wonder, fingers running across the shelves of art supplies as you took in the varying brands of watercolours. You knew each of them well. There were the tubes of paint; better for larger pieces of work and refilling pans in dire situations. The half pans were your favourites, they were easier to control the amount of paint that filled the paper. Watercolour pencils and pastels were the next things that came into view, their neat boxes in stacks. They were a good cheat method, for those who weren't yet comfortable with the steadiness of their hand and you'd used them on many occasions when you didn't feel like spending too long on a piece.
"Found what you're looking for?" Seungmin's voice broke you from your browsing, smile faltering as you looked over at him dubiously. You'd forgotten he'd even accompanied you, your attention solely on the supplies that surrounded you.
The shop was quaintly sized, shelves aligning the interior walls and extending upwards towards the low ceiling. Each shelf was full of different products, arranged in such a way that made it easy to find what you needed and if it wasn't upon one of the positioned shelves then it was surely presented upon one of the centred stands.
There was that all too familiar smell of paint and chalk in the air, it was bitter but not unpleasant and it reminded you of the dimly lit art studios your new university homed. The shop owner had clearly attempted to cover the armour, though, as flowers sat strewn in various corners of the shop, wherever there was a space, a vase would settle.
"Are you ignoring me?" He whined, earning a blink of surprise from you as you turned away from the store to face him again.
"And why would I be ignoring you?" You addressed him quizically.
"I don't know cause you think I'm annoying?" He shrugged, and you couldn't help but feel a little bad when a disappointed expression crossed his face. It was only for a moment and if you weren't paying attention you might've missed it but you didn't, you saw it in the way his lips downturned at the corners before moving upwards into a half-smile.
"Well you are annoying but that's no reason to ignore you." You giggled, nudging him gently before directing your attention back towards the shelves of paints. "I just need some watercolours." You motioned, gaze sauntering over the different brands and types in search of one in particular.
"Ah, that's what those are." He said in what you guessed what realisation. "What do they... do?" Seungmin asked, a hand tucking into his jean pocket as he leaned against the shelf beside you.
"What- they're paints, you use them to paint." You laughed, almost in disbelief at his question.
"And that one?" He questioned, pointing towards the half pans.
"Also paint." You shook your head, refraining from rolling your eyes as you picked up one of the boxes and inspected it to make sure it was the right one.
"Which ones are your favourite?" Seungmin enquired and you had to wonder where all of these questions were coming from, was he genuinely curious? Or was this another of his attempts to get into your pants as soon as the opportunity arose?
"Out of the watercolours this one." You raised the box in your hand, showing it to him momentarily before you began to head towards the counter, stopping off at the brushes along the way.
"And overall?" He spoke once more, following after you as if you were bound together by an invisible thread.
"The gouache. Those ones." You pointed in the direction of the paints, their positioning closest to the till.
"Oh, cool. Why are they are your favourites?" His questions would be becoming somewhat exhausting if it wasn't for the topic. You could never tire of discussing various hues of product or the varying types at that.
"Well, watercolours are great but sometimes the colouring isn't as strong and I prefer something closer to acrylic, but the problem with normal acrylics is they can dry with texture and I'm not a huge fan of that so gouache is a good medium between both- what? Am I rambling?" You laughed, watching as his expression turned from interested to slightly lost.
"A little but it's cute." He winked, his hand falling to the small of your back to guide you towards the cash register.
"Whatever." You rolled your eyes, ignoring the slight blush that crept upon your cheeks at his comment. It was one thing to be bombarded with pick-up lines and flirtatious attempts in your dm's but it was another to hear him say it in person.
You listened to the beep of the scanner as your watercolours were placed through the system, the two brushes you'd picked up following suit. With a smile, you thanked the cashier, going into your tote bag to reach for your purse. You were quickly beaten to it, however, by an extended hand, a card that wasn't yours being pressed atop the machine.
"What are you doing?" You asked the man, who looked at you slightly wide-eyed.
"Nothing! Just making up for being annoying." He smiled, one that suited him far better than the smirk he often wore.
"You didn't have to!" You objected, placing the purchased items safely into your bag.
"Yeah, I know. I wanted to though." He chuckled, his hand falling back at the small of your back as he led you out of the store. You allowed him to do so, caught up in the melodic chiming of whatever song it was that came and went as you exited the art store and took exactly four steps in the direction of the music shop. "The music stores just here, let me know if it's too boring," Seungmin added with a chuckle, to which you offered him a smile.
"No that's okay, I love music." You shrugged, walking beside him as you stepped into the small store. You were instantly hit with the muted aroma of aged record sleeves and something akin to the scent that lingered in old libraries.
On one side, the store was covered with different music books, those that taught the individual in just about any area of music from brass to string instruments. You noted that they all looked second hand, it gave the expanse a retro appeal, the manuals looking to be dated. Away from the walls, boxes upon boxes filled the left side of the store, records homing each of the containments. From what you could see, the edges were frayed, the covers creased and deteriorated from their years of use.
It was a much nicer environment than that of the music stores you'd been in before, their merchandise crisp and clean; as good as new and without signs of love or use.
"You do? I've got something to show you then." His smile widened, your brows raising suspiciously at whatever it was he was suggesting.
"What is it?" You spoke dubiously, allowing him to lead you with a tug of your sleeve. Rearing right, you wove your way through the stands of cd's and towards the far corner of the store.
"You'll see." He responded in a sing-song voice, pointing towards a somewhat hidden area of the room. Although not completely out of view, its position behind stands of CD's meant that people's view of it was obscured. The light was duller here too, shadows casting across the poster-covered walls. Various bands covered the surface, ranging from the 90s to the 60s, their appearance damaged and warped. "Know what it is?" He questioned, redirecting your attention.
His finger was pointed in the direction of two pairs of headphones, the bridges that sat atop ones head positioned on a hook. Above them, a screen was stuck to the wall, various artists and songs cycling its front. "I don't think so." You laughed softly, although you could make a few guesses.
"It's a silent disco." He grinned, removing the nearest headphones and lifting them to place them gently over your ears. You continued to look at him sceptically, watching as he browsed through the songs; finger swiping across the tablet. Pressing play on a band called day6 you listened as the song began, your face lighting up subconsciously as the loud music reverberated around your ears, stilling your thoughts and replacing it with the melody.
"This is good!" You spoke a little too loudly, unable to determine the volume of your voice. Seungmin laughed at this, wide smile still pressed against his lips and you couldn't help but think that this side of him was far easier to bear.
"Wait! We have to listen together." He urged, pressing pause on the song before loading up the same one on the second screen, placing the spare headphones atop his head he found the same song. You dragged the little indicator towards the start of the song with a keen smile. "Okay ready? 3... 2... 1... Go!" He articulated enthusiastically, the two of you pressing play on the song in unison.
Bobbing your head to the beat of the song you watched with a smile as he did a mindless dance, his eyes fluttering shut as his mouth moved along with the lyrics of the song. Curiously, you slowly removed the headphones and sure enough, he was singing along, soft voice causing your heart to skip a beat. You couldn't help but grin at him as he sang, hitting every note in succession as he continued to dance along to the beat.
"You were pretty, your eyes that looked at me, your voice that called out to me." He sang, tone undertaking a hint of sadness that you easily deducted as him getting invested in the emotions of the song. You were about to place your headphones back on your head, when his eyes opened once again, gaze slowly travelling to you with a hint of a smile.
"Hey! You weren't listening?" He objected when he noticed you staring at him and Seungmin felt his heart flutter. You were looking at him with such a softness, your pretty eyes dancing with something he couldn't quite place. He wished he knew what it was, he wasn't the certainty of knowing how you felt, something he always knew how to find in other girls.
It was obvious, blatantly so, how other girls felt about him. He could see it in their smiles, could hear it in their overly feminine giggles as they attempted to catch his attention. You, however, were not like everyone else, and although that was cliche it wasn't for the reasons they wrote about in love stories. He just couldn't read you. Couldn't tell what you were thinking, couldn't begin to distinguish your smiles.
"I was listening to something better." You beamed, placing the headphones back on the hook.
"Ya, now who's flirting?" He laughed, ignoring the heat that rose in his cheeks as he shook his head, mirroring your actions.
"That's not flirting!" You protested, nudging him in slight annoyance as he chuckled some more.
"Sounds like flirting to me." Seungmin teased, nudging you back.
"Oh please." You scoffed, turning to head back in favour of browsing the different second-hand merchandise. As you did so, Seungmin followed after you, an unmistakable and unwavering grin atop his lips as he found himself concluding that perhaps friends wasn't so bad after all.
This thought continued as he stood beside you, your fingers flicking through the different records and where he would ordinarily be doing the same, he instead stared in silent adoration as you skimmed through each one. If it meant that he got to see you smile, this close, this near, if it meant he got to hear you laugh; to be the reason for it all then friends was fine. Friends was great.

Sitting in front of your vanity, you released a frustrated sigh, the eyeliner you'd attempted not working entirely the way you'd planned to, but what was new? You ended up settling with what you had, the left a little higher than the right, but the two looking close enough to one another to be considered acceptable.
If it were anyone else, you might've tried a little harder, but Changbin, a friend who'd begun to show interest in you, was still just that. You'd known each other for long enough now; you were sure he'd seen you in worse states than the one you were currently in. Perhaps that was a tell-tale sign that you were maybe not as interested in him as he was you. After all, he'd made a considerable effort today, and you... well, you'd woken up only a few minutes previously from a nap that went on a little too long for your liking.
Smoothing down the clothing you'd decided to wear, you stepped away from your vanity, humming a song as your Spotify playlist chimed quietly in the background of your thoughts. It was when you had begun to consider where it was the man might be taking you that you heard what sounded like a knock at the door.
You paused your music, listening again to make sure you hadn't just heard an instrument that sounded uncannily like your front door.
Knock knock
There it was again, undeniably so, and with a scowl, you looked back down at your phone, confirming that he was thirty minutes ahead of schedule. Shaking your head, you released a soft huff, a little annoyed he hadn't sent you a text to let you know he was on his way. Descending the steps and walking the short distance to your front door, you opened it with haste, eyes expecting to settle upon the familiarly sharp features of Changbin's stoic expression.
You paused. Blinking in slight surprise when you realised that the man before you, although familiar, was not Seo Changbin.
"Chan." You spoke aloud, tone doubtful as if you disbelieved your own eyes.
"Wow, don't look so happy to see me, jeez." He chuckled, arms weighed down by the heavy plastic bags in his firm grasp. You looked down at the white and blue, stripy carriers, eyes widening when you noted the large quantities of alcohol within them.
Confusion washed over you as the male stepped into your home, placing the bags down in the kitchen with a relieved sigh as he stretched his cramped up arms. You followed after him, the front door closing with a muted thud as you looked at him quizically.
"What?" He looked at you, arms crossing over his chest as he leaned against your kitchen counter.
"Wha- why are you here?" You spoke in exasperation, your own arms crossing over your chest in an unintentional mimic.
"It's Friday." Chan shrugged, seemingly not noticing the way you copied his mannerisms, his own attention far too busy on the clothes that hugged your figure, his expression turning slightly suspicious.
"Yes, it is." You retorted, eyes narrowing in slight annoyance towards his stupid answer. You made no move to challenge his suddenly dubious appearance., instead, checking your phone for any message you might've missed that would indicate why Chan was standing here in your kitchen.
Nothing, no surprise there.
"We always hang out on Friday's." He spoke matter-a-factly, that dimpled smile he wore oh so well returning to his fair features.
"We haven't done that in months." You reminded him, something you hadn't been able to forget as he clearly had. You and Chan had once upon a time been inseparable, best friends for as long as either of you could remember, but as friends often did, he'd gotten caught up in his new and exciting relationship with a girl he'd been crushing on since high school.
Sally, that was her name, a pretty bright-eyed girl that caught everyone's attention with her gorgeous features and kept them interested with her tender heart and sumptuous smile.
"All the more reason to hang out." He reasoned, beginning to unpack the bottles upon bottles of alcohol he'd brought with him. Your eyes narrowed again, this time with suspicion, as you watched each alcoholic drink leave the bag. Chan didn't drink, not often anyway, he had a few beers at parties, but he didn't touch the hard stuff. Didn't care for it, and neither did you; it was one of the many reason's you'd gotten so close. You were the only two at parties who managed to survive the entire night without vomiting or breaking something that didn't belong to you.
"Okay, what's wrong?" You finally said, hoping he'd give up whatever act it was he was putting on to hide his true intentions. It had been at least three months since your regular hangouts. There had to be a reason he was turning up out of the blue with arms full of alcohol and a cheery disposition that you were sure didn't quite meet his eyes.
"What? Nothing sweetheart." He dismissed you rather quickly, causing you to raise your brows. He noticed this, actions stilling as he looked back at you with a somewhat challenging gaze. Chan never spoke about his problems; that much was widely known among your friends. Instead, he preferred to keep them in his busy head, thinking it was easier to ignore them if fewer people knew of their existence.
You weren't quite so easy to shake off, though, you'd find out one way or another, and he knew that. His shoulders seemed to slouch in defeat as he understood this to be so, his body nearing yours as he engulfed you in a hug. "I missed you." He spoke quietly, admitting his faults as if he were a child being scolded.
You thought his answer to be strange; it didn't explain the large quantities of liquor on your countertops nor the hastiness of his invitation to your house. You accepted it, nevertheless, his warm hold causing you to instantly melt into his embrace. You'd readdress the matter at a later date, for now, though, for now, you'd enjoy the familiar comfort of his affections.
"I missed you too, Channie." You laughed softly, hugging him back. "I can't stay, though. I have a date." You sighed, remembering quickly that Changbin would be arriving to pick you up shortly.
"You have a date with Changbin?" Chan backed away from you rather suddenly, his brows raised and eyes wide as he searched your expression for any signs of jest.
"Yeah, what's so weird about that?" You scoffed, arms back to crossing themselves over your chest defensively.
"I don't know... It's Changbin." He scrunched his face up in slight disgrace, something you couldn't understand. The two were close friends; why wouldn't Chan be supportive of your decision? "Do you like him?"
"I'm going on a date with him." You rolled your eyes, not answering his question directly as you turned away, beginning to busy yourself with mindlessly packing his things back into the plastic carrier bags.
"Oh my god, you don't even like him!" The male saw right through you, and you were surprised to find a grin on his features. Why was he so happy about this revelation?
"Not true!" You objected, cheeks beginning to heat up the longer he stared at you with a knowing look. Damn him and his ability to see through you like glass. "Now, can you get out of my house? I have a date to get ready for."
"Cancel it," Chan spoke decisively, causing your head to whip around in denial.
"What?" You responded, glaring at him in a manner he knew all too well. You weren't mad, not yet anyway, your cheeks weren't red enough, and your eyes hadn't yet formed angry tears that threatened to spill.
"You heard me." He chuckled, nearing you once more, this time to pluck the alcohol from your hands and lay them back down upon the counter.
"I'm not cancelling it." You retorted, grabbing the bottles and putting them back in the bag as if to prove a point. Chan's eyes narrowed at you, a smile still playing across his plump lips as he reached his hand out to unpack the bottle for the third time, an action you quickly put a stop to. Smacking his hand away, you smirked at the momentarily pained expression that traversed his features.
"Ow- Please? We haven't seen each other in ages." Chan pouted, nursing his hand with the other.
"Who's fault is that?" You scolded him, cheeks reddening with an oncoming annoyance that the male quickly picked up on. He softened, both of his hands meeting with your shoulders as he pulled you in for another hug. You weren't sure where this clingy imposter had come from, but you weren't complaining, not when his warm embrace was this affable.
"I know, and I'm sorry, but I'm here now, so can we please hang out? I miss my bestie." He spoke with that same pout, this time with a much more delicate tone, his eyes shimmering with a hopefulness that had your heart melting and your prior convictions lifting.
"... fine."

Soju bottles and beer cans were strewn across the surface of your coffee table, a movie playing absentmindedly in the background as you and Chan cycled through the various drinking games you knew. Ring of fire had been first; it was almost tradition among your friends to begin with that particular game, creating a circle of cards around an awful mix of alcoholic drinks. Granted, the game wasn't as much fun between two people, and so it hadn't been long until you were moving onto something else.
Next had been never have I ever, the two of you attempting to catch each other out with things you knew the other had done. It had gotten boring quickly, though. After all, there had been no surprises or revelations like the game had surely intended. You knew each other too well, far too well perhaps, and the number of consumed drinks was a testament to that.
"Okay, what about truth or dare?" Chan suggested as you both battled to think of something to play. How cliche, you thought, as you sipped your peach soju, the sweetness causing your face to scrunch up in slight disdain.
"Sure." You quipped, far too drunk to care what it was you were doing as long as you were doing something. You had to admit you were having a good time, a much better time than you were sure you'd have with Changbin as much as you hated to confess such a thing. There was nothing wrong with Changbin, nothing at all, but he wasn't Chan.
Oh god, there came the drunk revelation one you knew all too much about but chose to ignore. Ignore, ignore and keep ignoring until you no longer felt its sharp sting.
"Truth or dare?" Chan slurred, dimples pressed into his skin as his body leaned closer to yours. On the very few occasions you'd seen the male beside you somewhere close to drunk, you'd noted that he became an even clingier person the more alcohol he consumed. It was what made parties, so fun, watching people on the sidelines as the two of you drank at a respectable pace, and during those rare instants, Chan would lean in real close, speaking in a low voice about the drunken antics going on in front of you.
You'd take it, in turn, doing commentaries, laughter spilling from your lips as you both came up with funny dialogue for an otherwise mundane scene. You realised now that you'd missed him terribly since he'd started dating Sally, the two of you rarely getting a moment to speak to one another without her getting in between the two of you - not that you blamed her.
"Hmm, dare." You spoke, tone slightly hesitant as you looked at him with a merciful expression, hoping like all hell he'd not make you do anything too embarrassing.
"Okay... I dare you to... take your top off." A smirk crossed his features, brown eyes darkening momentarily as his gaze left yours to travel down towards your chest.
"What!" You objected, thumping him on the shoulder with fierce force and an even fiercer gaze.
"I'm kidding, I'm kidding." He laughed at this, hand releasing his can of beer down atop the table in favour of rubbing the place you'd smacked him. He continued to chuckle for a moment, head falling back against the sofa as you continued to glare at him, seemingly unable to contain his giggles.
You found it all rather amusing the way in which he couldn't contain his laughter, his eyes scrunched up at the corners as his free hand rested at his chest. His adams apple looked all the more prominent from his leant back position, and you hated to admit that your mouth salivated at the sight of his exposed neck. You wondered how it would feel to bury your face in its crook, mind pondering how soft the skin would be captured between your teeth.
You knew it was down to intoxication, these thoughts, sober you would never think of Chan in such a manner, but fuck, it was hard not to when he looked so damn delectable. He was dressed casually in a pair of tight black jeans, rips sitting at each of the knees in a way you were sure he'd not done himself. His shirt was a striped button-up, which looked far too informal to be worn in any other setting than this one.
He looked good, and the worst part is he didn't even know it, his modest, charismatic self only adding to the fire that was beginning to ember in the pit of your stomach.
"Are you listening to me, sweetheart?" Chan questioned, the corners of his lips turned upwards in a half-smirk.
"Wha- what was the question." You blinked, his voice drawing you back to reality.
"Jeez, how drunk are you? I told you to finish your drink." He laughed softly, eyeing you with a jestful judgement. It was a good thing, to say the least, that Chan wasn't the most observant when it came to people showing him interest; after all, it had taken him a good two years to figure out Sally had feelings for him.
"Oh right... why?" You babbled, still attempting to pick up the fragments of reality as your mind continued to race, focusing on anything else other than what was currently going on around you. Unless that thing was Chan, then it was all you could think about from the small amount of chest that you could see beneath his unbuttoned shirt or the subtle flex of his upper arm as he shifted his position.
"We're playing truth or dare... you chose dare- are you okay, is baby girl a little wasted?" He teased, the nickname causing your stomach to do a flip. That was new; he'd never called you that before.
"Ya, don't call me that." You scolded him, raising your hand to thump him again, though this time, he was quick to catch it, his fingers curling around your wrist gently.
"Yeah, yeah, quit stalling, baby." Chan's smirk returned, his gaze fixed on your slightly distant expression - something he easily put down to the amount of alcohol coursing through your veins.
Without further delay, you raised your soju to your lips, eyes narrowing for the umpteenth time as you finished the last of the sweet liquid. Your face screwed up in slight disgust, an involuntary burp following the sickly, sugary beverage. "See wasn't so hard, was it?" He added, cocking a brow.
"Whatever, your turn. Truth or dare?" You sigh, shaking your head at his cheeky antics.
"Dare." He smiled, his grin wide enough to have those familiar dimples denting his plump cheeks. You couldn't help but have a ghost of a smile tug at your own lips at the deep crescents, your heart beginning to thump a little harder in your chest.
Shaking off the euphoric haze that threatened to consume you, you finally spoke, a mimicking smirk on your lips. "I dare you to take your shirt off." You cocked a brow, showing no signs of jest as he previously had.
For a moment, he laughed, the melodic sound meeting your ears and settling into the confines of your mind. It was the kind of soft chime that you always seemed to commit to memory, recalling it in your dreams or times of sadness when all you needed was him to cheer you up.
"You serious?" He looked at you in disbelief when you wore no signs of playfulness, an earnest expression dressing your pretty features.
"Yep. Take it off." You grinned, leaning over to crack another soju open.
"Fine..." He mumbled, a slight pout playing across his lips as he placed his beer can aside and raised his long fingers to the buttons of his shirt.
Turning to make sure he was complying with the dare, you felt your smile drop when your gaze fell upon his slim digits slowly working each of the buttons. With each circular disk his fingers unclasped, the more of his toned stomach was revealed, the thin fabric of his shirt slipping away until it fell completely open. You swallowed the lump that formed in your throat the moment his abs came into view, each of his chiselled muscles mindlessly flexing as he removed the garment entirely from his body.
"Your turn, sweetheart," Chan spoke, snapping you out of your daydream again, though this time he wore an expression that told you he wasn't as oblivious to your stares this time as he had been before.
"Dare." You spoke in a hesitant tone. "Wait, no truth."
"You already picked dare." He pointed a finger at you matter-a-factly, your hand reaching out to grab it in annoyance.
"There are no rules!" You objected, pulling him towards you as he fought to pry his finger from your grip, his free hand prodding at your side in an attempt to tickle you.
"It's too late; take your shirt off." He retorted, finally able to retrieve his second hand, allowing it to instantly settle at your side as both hands began to tickle you relentlessly. You let out an involuntary noise as you started to squirm beneath him, head thrown back in fits of giggles as he continued his torturous actions.
"Chan!" You squealed, hands pushing up against his bare chest in an attempt to force him away. He took it as his queue to stop, a grin on his lips as he ceased his actions, not yet making a move to return to his previous sitting position. Instead, his hands remained at your hips, body slightly towered over your own.
"It's only fair." He made one last attempt at getting you to comply with his dare, his gaze catching your own dubious one. He challenged you with one last narrow of his eyes, his brown irises testing yours for any sign of defeat. There, of course, was none, though. You were stubborn, very stubborn, and no amount of intoxication was going to shift that.
"Fine, you're so difficult." He complained, one of his hands shifting to trace patterns against your clothed skin. You might not have noticed this action if it weren't for the burning feeling his hand left behind, the searing, scolding sensation refuelling the fire in the pit of your stomach. "Do you... do you like Changbin?"
His serious tone caught you off guard; any signs of his previously playful nature now replaced with an unreadable expression. You knew him well and prided yourself on picking up the subtle changes of one emotion to another, but this time, you couldn't read whatever it was he was feeling. Not even the look in his eyes gave him away as he waited for your response.
"I choose dare." You changed your mind, not liking the sudden seriousness of your conversation.
"Oi. You can't do that." He chuckled, the sound not familiar with his usual cheery laugh. "You do, don't you?" Chan queried, taking your unwillingness to respond as something it wasn't. In truth, you just didn't want to talk about this with him, not because you didn't trust him but because the whole reason you were even going on a date was because of him.
You'd been in denial for so long; god, you had really tried to pretend that you didn't have feelings for your best friend. But now you knew that the motive behind going on a date in the first place was because Chan had someone else. He still did, he had a girlfriend, and here you were trying to tell yourself that you were the most important girl in his life simply because he'd bothered to come and see you once again. It was pitiful, really, and you hated how it choked at your throat until you wanted to scream and sob.
"No... I don't think I do." You finally responded, gaze averting from his face. It was hard to look at him when the man staring back was someone you were struggling to recognise. Why did he even care whether you liked Changbin? You didn't have the answer to that, especially not in the solemn context that he was placing it upon, but you still put it down to him being a quizzical best friend.
"That's go- I mean, I knew it. Why bother even going on a date with him?" Chan half-rambled, his hand shifting to sit mindlessly atop your thigh, his patterns continuing.
"Sorry, but I don't remember it being my turn." You spoke cheekily, choosing to push the moment aside and continue with your drinking games. You weren't used to this kind of atmosphere when it came to him, and you weren't sure you liked it all that much; it left too much uncertainty hanging in the air like a grey cloud waiting to storm. "Truth or dare?"
"Wow, fine, truth." Chan grinned, leaning over you to grab his beer from the table, and as he did so, you could easily smell the muskiness of his cologne. It was almost as intoxicating as the alcohol you'd drank in excess, the mix of something spicy and fresh causing your heart to race.
"Okay, why are you here, what happened?" You raised your brows at him as he leaned back to his original position, his hands tugging your legs over his lap. He released a sigh at your question as if he'd known it would come up eventually, and he'd just hoped it hadn't been so soon.
"I'm guessing I can't change my mind and choose dare?" He spoke, knowing it would be no use.
"Your rules, not mine." You shook your head, a sarcastic smile on your lips as you waited for him to answer the question.
"Fine... Sally and I broke up." Chan confessed, a second sigh slipping from his plump lips as he looked away from you, head bowing as he stared down at his digits as they caressed your clothed skin. You instantly felt bad for asking, eyes widening as you sat up, pulling your legs from his lap and positioning yourself closer to him, ready to comfort him as soon as the tears began.
They never did come, though, something that caught you off guard as you attempted to meet his gaze. "Chan, I'm so sorry."
Now the drinking made sense.
"Don't be. I broke up with her." He shrugged, looking up at you at last with a half-smile. All you could do was stare back in confusion, however, your face contorting into that of disbelief as you attempted to wrack your brain for some kind of explanation as to why he'd do such a thing.
"What! You- you idiot, you were waiting so long for her-" Your mind finally began to form words as you verbalised your confusion, your ramblings cut short by his explanation.
"I realised I was in love with you, y/n," Chan stated, so calmly yet sincerely that you were almost positive you'd entered some kind of dream state. There was no way, no way in hell or heaven that your best friend just confessed his feelings for you - right?
"What?" You babbled, needing to hear it just once more to believe it.
You weren't gifted that, just as he hadn't been gifted mercy earlier, your heart racing beyond what should be considered healthy as he spoke again, "Truth or dare?"
"Ya, you can't just do that!" You protested, your cheeks flushed, skin alight with a fire he'd started and eyes wide with a mixture of scepticism and hope.
"Your rules, not mine." He mimicked you, causing you to glare despite the overwhelming feeling that coursed through you at his previous revelation.
".... Truth." You said after a beat in time, suddenly hating this game a whole lot. You needed to hear him say it again, needed to know that he wasn't winding you up, and yet deep down, you knew he meant it. Perhaps it was just denial, denial that this whole time he could've felt the same way, and you hadn't known it. That you'd both been attempting to chase away your feelings for one another only to discover you'd been wasting time.
"Why did you agree to go on a date with Changbin?" He questioned once again, eager to hear your answer as he waited patiently for you to muster up the nerve to recuperate his confession.
Liquid courage was a wonderful thing.
"To get over you." You responded after a beat in time, watching as he became a reflection of your previous self, his eyes widening, his coffee irises mixing with disbelief.
"Me?" He questioned, tone filled with hope as he sat up a little straighter, turning to face you on the couch.
"Yes." You smiled shyly, the beating of your heart so rapid it was almost hard to focus on anything else.
"You- You have feelings for me?" Chan repeated, almost as if he were trying to convince himself of that fact, though he still looked at you for an answer.
"Not my turn." You smiled wickedly, waiting for him to comply with the rules of the game.
To your surprise, however, he didn't play along, instead leaning over to press his lips to yours in an unexpected kiss. "Fuck this fucking game." He murmured against your mouth, his hands finding your sides to tug you atop his lap in one easy action. You allowed himself to do so without protest, lips quickly responding to his deepening kiss.
You'd never expected this, never thought you'd ever be where you are now, not for a second. But what you didn't presume above all else was how good his mouth would feel moving passionately, almost desperately, against your own. He tasted like a mix of your soju and his bitter-tasting beer, the left-over flavouring of his minty toothpaste prominent as his tongue entered your mouth.
His hands shifted below the loose-fitting fabric of your shirt as he began to adjust your position, pushing you gently down against the length of the couch as he began to tower above you. Everything was happening so fast and yet not fast enough as your hands found purchase against his toned chest, nails dragging gently across the crevices of his noticeable abs.
"I just- do you really feel the same way?" Chan broke the kiss to question the legitimacy of your confession, his breath tickling your face from the closeness.
It was a strange revelation to know that he felt just as doubtful as you, just as uncertain that this was reality and not your intoxication playing tricks on you. "I do, I really do." You spoke back, still flustered from the sudden growing heat that continued to increase the longer you remained so close to him.
"We've wasted so much time." Chan chuckled, exasperated as his hand shifted up and down your body, squeezing and groping at the soft skin that ran beneath his careful grip.
"Time to make up for it then?" You quipped, tone amorous as you leaned up to kiss his lips once more, he complied with a smile, mouth moving against yours with a fever.
Your hands found his dark hair, tangling your fingers in his chocolate strands. The action had a soft moan spilling from his lips, the sound sending a wave of euphoria through you as you subconsciously arched your back. His own digits found your bra-clad breasts as he gave the left a gentle squeeze, hips delving down against your own with growing hunger.
"Fuck I don't know how it took me so long to realise how badly I want you," Chan admitted, voice low as he shifted his lips to begin kissing along your jaw, mouth trailing down until they found your neck. You tipped your head to the side, allowing him access as you revelled in the feeling of his hips crashing lazily with your own.
"I want you just as- oh fuck." Your response was cut short by his teeth nipping at the sensitive spot beside your ear, his hand falling from your breast to slip down between your thighs, fingers roughly drawing patterns across your clothed core experimentally.
"What was that, darling?" He teased, tongue darting out to lick a strip across your sore skin. You didn't mind the ache; in fact, you welcomed it, wanting badly to have the purple stain atop your body.
"I want you so bad." You repeated, his fingers toying with the zip of your jean skirt as he worked the rough material down your bare legs.
"You look so good in this little skirt, baby." He mumbled, focused on your figure as he threw the garment aside, gazing at the white lingerie that hid beneath with a lustful gaze. "And you're sure you don't like Changbin?" He tutted, fingers pressing against your lace-covered pussy as he slowly circled your clit. "Looks like baby girl was trying to get fucked tonight." His tone was low as his gaze met with yours, a fire hiding behind his eyes that you'd never seen before.
"Only by you." You responded breathlessly, wanting so badly for him to keep going. His actions were slow, almost too slow, as he continued to rub circles atop your bundle of nerves.
"These panties says otherwise, baby." He lulled, eyes never leaving your expression as he kept you in a heated gaze. "Looking all cute for your date with Changbin, would you have fucked him if I hadn't come over today?" Chan questioned, a slightly jealous tone lacing each of his words.
"No." You whined, back arching as he moved your panties aside, the cool air sending jolts of electricity through you - though it was nothing compared to the pleasure that washed through you the moment Chan began prodding at your entrance, his finger slipping into your wet, warm walls.
"Fuck, you're so wet for me, baby." He groaned, his hips thrusting into nothing. His free hand kept you in place as you began to squirm, every one of your senses sent into overdrive as you released soft moans with every drag of his finger. A proud smirk overtook his features as he added another digit, beginning to curl them in search of your most sensitive spot.
Every time his fingers drew back and forth, a squelch sounded, the melodic noise prying a growl from the man's lips. "My babies all messy already? I wonder the mess you'll make when you cum around daddies fingers." He spoke in a low voice, the sound sending chills down your spine as you clenched around his digits.
"Please." You mewled between breathy moans, your bottom lip catching between your teeth in an attempt to muffle some of the sounds that threatened to spill.
"Please what baby girl?" He questioned, lips leaving open-mouthed kisses across the expanse of your neck.
"Please, I wanna cum around your fingers." You groaned, hips moving upwards to meet the steady rhythm of his digits as they dragged in and out of your tight walls.
"Already? You're so desperate for me." Chan tutted once more, a grin on his lips as he pulled back to watch you as you squirmed beneath him. He concluded that he much preferred having you shake and wriggle below him because of the merciless thrusts of his fingers in and out of your pulsing walls than he did tickling you.
His pace picked up, the sound of your pre-cum squelching causing his dick to harden impossibly so. "Fuck, you sound amazing, baby." He moaned, increasing his pace once more as he began to push you towards your high. Your heart hammered in your chest as your walls clenched, your head tipping back against the couch as a string of moans and curse words left you involuntarily.
"Mm so close." You managed to speak, the pleasure that ran through you like an electric current numbing your brain and leaving you thoughtless as you focused entirely on him. His fingers never ceased their ministrations, his free hand shifting to circle at your clit. The added sensation had you falling over the edge rather suddenly, your moans turning to half-screams as his name left your mouth again and again.
"Fuck, you're so hot, y/n." He mused, admiring the way his fingers became even damper with your release, your juices covering his wrist and lower-arm as he rode you through your high.
"Please fuck me, please." You wondered how you were even able to speak as his fingers continued to push you through your high, the white that obscured your vision blotting away until you could clearly see his face. The sight had you clenching around him again, his furrowed brows and dark eyes making you needier for the rest of him.
You wanted so badly to feel his thick length fucking into your tight walls, knowing he'd fuck you until your head went dumb and you lost all feeling in your limbs. "Please." You moaned as he pulled his fingers from you, his digits entering his mouth as he licked the cum from its surface.
"You taste so good, baby girl." He ignored your pleads, acting like a man starved as he licked up every last drop. Just when you thought he was done, he moved between your legs, tongue darting out to lick up your release, the new sensation of his wet muscle causing your body to jolt.
His teeth nibbled lightly at your clit before he licked at it, your eyes rolling back as he began to suck and prod in all the right places and all the right ways to have your legs shaking. You felt completely out of control of your own body as you trembled beneath him, his tongue entering your walls as he sucked and kissed your soaking pussy. "Be a good girl and cum all over daddies mouth." He spoke, sending vibrations across your core.
Still sensitive from your last release, you could feel your second orgasm approaching rapidly, your hips thrusting upwards as you chased your second high. "Fuck, you feel so good, Channie." You mewled, breaths coming out in pants as you clenched around his tongue. It wasn't long before your walls began to spasm, heart racing and blood pounding as the knot in your stomach snapped.
A moan followed your release as Chan lapped up every drop, his mouth working you through your second orgasm until you were still beneath him. "Good girl." He spoke in a soft voice, one uncharacteristic of your current situation. You paid it no mind, though, far too worn out by your first two orgasms to give anything much attention, anything other than the yearning for his cock.
"Is daddy going to fuck me now?" You asked in a whine, pulling a low moan from the man as he toyed with his belt buckle.
"How are you still so needy? Such a naughty girl." He responded with that now-familiar tut.
"Just want you so badly." You admitted. "Wanted you for so long." You moaned, brain mush as you waited patiently for him to finally enter you. You watched as he stilled, looking at you with a thoughtful smile as he leaned down to press a soft kiss to your lips.
"I'm sorry for being such an idiot, sweetheart." He talked kindly, something that seemed so miss-matched in the current situation. You didn't mind, though; the soft, attentive Chan had been the man you fell for.
"Don't be." You responded, pressing another kiss to his plump lips. You'd never get used to the feeling they provided you with; you were almost certain of that. It felt brand new, and in a way, it was, but it was Chan; he had always been and always would be, he wasn't new he was old, familiar, comfortable even.
Returning to the job at hand, he got off of the couch, kicking off his jeans and removing his briefs until he was in nothing but socks. His length, happy to be freed from its confines, stood proudly against his stomach, a moan falling from your lips as you took in his size. He wasn't the biggest, nor the thickest, but he looked large enough to stretch you out in the way you wanted him so badly to.
"You ready baby girl?" He asked as he pulled a condom from his wallet, something you knew him to do ritualistically. 'Better to be safe than sorry', he had always told you, something you only understood now. The best moments were spontaneous, unexpected.
"Yes, daddy." You drawled, spreading your legs a little wider so he could slip in between. His lips found yours instantly, tongue and teeth clashing as if you'd both forgotten the method of which to follow. Neither of you cared, too desperate to become whole as he began to position his length at your entrance.
"Such a good girl, tell me if it's too much okay, baby?" He asked earnestly, pulling away from your lips to search your eyes for any hesitation. He found none, only lust and love mixed in a dangerous cocktail, the discovery driving him crazy as he slowly entered you, your nod signalling your consent to continue as he pushed all the way in.
"Oh god." You moaned out, legs wrapping around his waist as your head tipped back. "You feel amazing, Channie." You spoke between hums and groans.
"So tight, so warm, so pretty, baby." He spoke in broken sentences, his entire body almost falling limp from the intensity of the feeling that coursed through him the moment he entered you. He allowed you time to adjust to the stretch, his head burying in the crook of your neck as he pressed soft kisses to your skin.
"Please." You begged again, the anticipation driving you wild as you attempted to move your hips to relieve some of the built-up tension. Then, taking the hint without wavering, Chan moved out of you, snapping his hips back against yours as he inaugurated a steady rhythm.
"God, how did I go so long without feeling you." He murmured, repeating his actions, each one with growing haste as his motions became rougher. You were almost certain your hips would bruise as he grew more rapid, his hips drilling into yours with a harshness that none of your previous partners had ever seemed to manage. You loved it, though, the ache in your lower body only adding to the pleasure that swam through your intoxicated veins.
"So good, daddy." You whined as you felt your third high nearing embarrassingly fast, your perception becoming a blur as you felt tears fill your vision.
"Close already?" He asked, feeling the way your walls clenched around his length, making it hard for him to move without cumming himself. "Wait for daddy like a good girl," Chan warned, his hand moving from your hip to wrap gently around your throat. You welcomed the soft lul of your mind as Chan constricted your airways, making it hard to breathe as you postponed your high as effectively as you could.
"Wanna cum so bad." You whimpered, voice coming out in a croak as tears began streaming down your cheeks.
"Fuck, baby." He responded to your neediness, his dick twitching at the feeling of your constricting walls. The male could tell he was close, his relentless thrusts becoming hard to maintain as he looked at you, his large hand wrapped prettily around your small neck. It was a sight he'd not quickly forget as he felt his high approach. "Cum with daddy." Chan moaned, angling two particularly pleasurable thrusts up against your g-spot.
Your vision turned white as you came, head falling backwards and body becoming limp as you babbled and sobbed his name. Your third orgasm was the most intense of them all, the feeling of him filling you up so well causing you to spasm and jolt.
"Fuck such a good girl, baby." He moaned, and it didn't take long before Chan was spilling into the latex, his cock being milked by your walls of every last drop of cum. His motions continued lazily as he rode out your highs, soft, breathy moans passing his swollen lips with each shallow thrust. Eventually, he was stilling, breaths coming out in pants and huffs as he resisted collapsing down on top of you.
Shifting, he got up off of the couch, grabbing a tissue from the coffee table before handing it to you. You thanked him with a smile, taking the tissue and using it to clean yourself up while he disappeared to the downstairs bathroom, presumably to do the same thing.
You couldn't help the dazed and content smile that graced your lips as you threw the tissue in the bin, hands immediately shifting to tidy your hair as you basked in the euphoria of the moment. Bang Chan, your Bang Chan, loved you too. It was almost unbelievable, and yet everything that had just transpired had been more than enough to convince you that his feelings were genuine.
Getting up, you decided to change into something a little more comfortable, knowing you'd soon be wracked with aches and pains. Your legs felt like jelly once you'd found the energy to stand, your steps slow and sluggish as you walked the short distance to your bedroom. Rummaging through your wardrobe took more time than you would've liked, items piled high. Eventually, you managed to find a pair of sweats and one of Chan's many mysteriously missing shirts. Pulling your own from your body, you were about to begin toying with the strap of your bra when you felt a pair of hands beat you to it.
"Oh, hello." You spoke in slight surprise, heart instantly beginning to race once again.
"Hello, sweetheart." He chuckled, unclasping your bra and helping you remove it with ease. Then, grabbing your/his shirt, he eyed it suspiciously, a smirk growing across his features as he helped you put it on. "I wondered where this went."
"Well, now you know." You spoke, a slight blush adorning your already flushed cheeks as you turned to face him. His laugh continued at your response, arms finding your waist as he leaned down to kiss your lips.
"Sit down." He spoke softly, leading you to the edge of the bed as he grabbed your sweats, his attentive nature only causing you to fall more and more. You were almost certain falling in love with him would be a continuous process, not that you minded; you never wanted to stop. Not now you knew he loved you just as much.
Once he'd dressed you, you crawled up the length of the bed, burrowing yourself beneath the covers. You waited for him to do the same, wide grin on your lips as your gaze followed him around the room, his hands tidying your clothes away before joining you. His arms instantly engulfed you, pulling you into a hug with a similarly large smile.
It was then that you were finally able to bury your face in the crook of his neck, your prior wishes being fulfilled as your grin widened impossibly so. Your eyes fluttered shut as you basked in the comfortable silence, the soft rise and fall of his chest almost lulling you into a slumber.
"Hey, baby?" Chan spoke in a quiet voice, breaking you from your slow drifting.
"Yes, Channie?" You questioned, making no move to look up at him. All the energy you might've had from the night's events had died away the moment you cuddled up at his side.
"Truth or dare?" He asked, stifling a chuckle.
"Are you serious?" You laughed, moving to look up at him. You were surprised to find him with a stoic expression, one that was dressed with a little playfulness but nothing to indicate that he hadn't meant it.
"Come on, truth or dare?" He further employed his seriousness, his hand shifting to push stray strands of hair from your eyes.
"Ugh fine... dare?" You spoke, uncertain of your choice, as you hid a yawn behind your hand.
"I dare you to be my girlfriend." He looked down at you, those adorable dimples digging at his cheeks as he awaited your response. You couldn't help but shake your head in disbelief, raising your hand to flick his forehead. "Ouch, what was that for?"
"You're an idiot." You rolled your eyes, leaning up to press a kiss to his lips nonetheless. "My idiot." You added, watching with adoration as a smile broke out across his lips.
"I'll take that as a yes then."

JYP Takes Legal Action Against Invasion Of Stray Kids’ Privacy
Tumblr media
JYP Entertainment has announced that it has taken legal action on behalf of Stray Kids.
Earlier this year, the agency issued a stern warning that it would be taking legal action against those who invaded Stray Kids’ privacy or violated their personal rights.
On May 18, JYP Entertainment shared an update announcing that they had taken legal action against those who had repeatedly infringed on Stray Kids’ privacy and basic rights. The agency also warned that they were preparing to take additional legal action in the future, including criminal and civil complaints against the spreading of falsehoods about Stray Kids.
The agency’s full statement is as follows:
Hello, this is JYP Entertainment.
We are informing you about the progress of our legal response to the violation of our artist’s rights.
We previously announced that we would take strong legal action in cases where our artist’s basic rights, including their privacy and personal rights, were violated. In spite of this, there has been repeated senseless behavior [by certain individuals], and as a result, our artist is currently enduring severe psychological suffering.
Therefore, after obtaining evidence and witness testimony about the individuals who are routinely violating our artist’s privacy and basic rights, we have taken legal action against them, and with the help of an investigative agency, we are currently preparing to file additional legal complaints.
Additionally, we are currently gathering evidence about criminal acts that defame and insult our artist’s character, such as the spreading of falsehoods or malicious calumny about Stray Kids, through our own monitoring; and in keeping with company procedure, we plan to take strong civil and/or criminal action in response. There will be no leniency or settlements in our response.
Once again, we are notifying you that in the future, we will continue to take strong legal action without leniency against all acts that violate our artist’s personal rights and that hinder their ability to promote safely. We also ask fans to actively report any evidence they may have gathered related to these sorts of illegal acts.
Thank you.
