The Nissan GTR. I love this car. I will never afford this car and I don’t think I really want to, but I love seeing them race through traffic on the interstate in the rare occasion that one is spotted.

This is the favorite character of my friend who loves Sherlock Holmes (the Cumberbatch version). I figured I’d give a try at drawing Irene Adler.

Purple was and still is my favorite color. So whenever there was a purple character in any media that was who I loved. (I was obsessed with Synergy from Jem & the Holograms as well!!) Figment is a lesser known Disney character. I visited Epcot when I was a little kid and loved him. He made it to screen on very few occasions, maybe ten at the most. I have several stuffed versions of him and  I decided to try my hand at a little illustration of him.

It seems like everyone is doing the hearts thing now. Sometimes they will let you take them home because I can’t sit there and draw this in 15 minutes. I love doing these though!  the R is for Ryan Kirk the photographer of @flashlighttostreetlight

A friend is a Rick & Morty fan... sketched on paper with #prismacolor and #copic markers, then scanned and sent it over to my favorite shop Tiny Buffalo on Oak Street. Love that guy, he will make anything and can problem solve graphics/computer issues like its nothing.

I love rainy days and I say that as someone who doesn’t have repetitive days of torrential rains like Arkansas or continual steady light rain like Seattle. We have quick I’m going to pound you for a few hours and done rain. We also flood, which sucks. But I love porch sitting in the rain and reading or doodling, etc. I’m not lucky enough to have a covered porch, but this coffee place close to me has a little spot out front that helps pictures like this happen.

Cardinal, the state bird of Ohio. I received a set for fine line Art Alternatives colored pens (should I call them markers?) and figured I give them a spin. Probably better for fine line monogram work but I still enjoyed this.

I don’t know exactly what type of material this plastic banner is, but its the worst. I’ve tried markers, both illustration and permanent Sharpie types, I’ve tried gel inks and now acrylics. Every medium seems to slide around on this. I hate it and because this is so difficult to work with my inspiration and overall creativeness have suffered.

I can’t seem to replicate the vibrancy of the metallic inks when I photograph the finished item.

Superman. A client wanted a Superman birthday card. I wasn’t sure what to do. She also wanted a monogram for her boyfriend and I am so used to doing women’s frilly and flourished letters that I found myself at a loss for a streamlined idea of a monogram. In the end she loved it and that’s all that matters...
