When I was younger I hated romantic comedies. But it just occurred to me that what I actually hated was films/shows with sexist stereotypes and heteronormative bullshit. not gonna lie the show thus far has felt like rick riordan just subtly rewriting his book the way he would do it now to better develop characters and relationships and such and personally i’m here for it because it means we get shit like the consensus song and medusa being a sympathetic villain because girl she was a victim !!

I noticed this immediately and love it!! And over the years the more Percy has to put up with the gods’ bs will make his decision to turn down immortality all the more impactful!

That writers room must’ve treated the Last Olympian as some sort of bible because they truly Get the idea that Percy does not like the gods. that he does what he does in spite of his opinion. They make sure that the audience knows that Percy doesn’t find this fair and that he doesn’t like this. That he and Luke are more similar then they expect.
