Renge Houshakuji is the Host Club's self-proclaimed manager who tends to be incredibly loud and outspoken. She lives in France before attending Ouran and comes to the Host Club stating that she is Kyoya's fiancée despite never meeting him in person.

Haruhi Fujioka is the protagonist of the Ouran High School Host Club series. She is a highly intelligent 1st-year student from a middle-class family, though considered "poor" and "common" by the wealthy elite members attending Ouran Academy.

Takashi Morinozuka (aka Mori) is a 3rd-year student at Ouran Academy and the second-oldest member of the Ouran Host Club. As a Host, he is considered the "Wild" type in the manga and the "Strong-Silent" type in the anime.

Honey is very fond of sweets and stuffed animals. He always carries around his favorite plush bunny named Usa-chan, an abbreviation of usagi, which means rabbit (also called Bun-Bun in the manga). He once tried to hide his true nature by acting like a "real man," but after Tamaki convinced him that true courage meant being exactly who you are, he stopped pretending. Together with Mori, he joined the Host Club, attracting customers with his shotacon cuteness.

The Hitachiin twins use an act of "forbidden brotherly love" as their main draw in the Host Club. Although they are considered mischievous, they have their differences: Kaoru is more agreeable, more mature, and considerate of others, while Hikaru is more immature though he is the older twin.

Kyoya is calm, logical, and has superior intelligence. He also can come across as rather detached, and sometimes threatening when need be. He is a diligent secretary for the club and tracks continuous data on the club's guests and fortunes through his netbook, tablet or notebook.

Tamaki is a flamboyant, emotional and narcissistic boy; however, he is extremely dedicated to his duties as a host. He is the "prince" host type, who can charm any girl with sweet talk—yet he is always truthful in his compliments. To him, all girls are pretty, and the happiness of his guest is his greatest enjoyment.
