trying to teach modern z how to play videos and he gets so frustrated he throws the controller and rage quits. 20 minutes later he's like "actually i want to try again, i can beat it this time" whole time they're just playing fortnite or some shit... (z becomes so fixated on certain games he goes out of his way to learn combos, easter eggs, how to speed run through it, and how to get all the trophies; he has like 20 saves in one game for this reason)

#i don't think zuko would like fortnite tbh #i see him being / real / into story based / strategic games #and ofc mythology and/or medieval based games #i would consider fighting games under strategic #but like minecraft? way too tedious for him #sims? way too boring. can't spend the time decorating #he hates animal crossing bc ty lee loves animal crossing and assigns villagers to him #i have this whole thing mapped out #sorry for talking so much i have a lot to say about him #meme / starter / plotting call soon

#he literally never got to have fun growing up #he doesn't even know what his hobbies are #or what they should be #outside of what he was raised to do .. raised to be! #i have headcanons that zuko knows how to play chess #is / okay / at cooking. doesn't like it per say #doesn't / have / to do it. but knows how #but playing games??? being young???? doesn't know shit #imagine trying to teach modern zuko about fnaf #he would look at ur like ur fucking insane

a big, big aspect of my 𝒛uko is the fact that he's partially blind in his left eye. it's important to note that after his father burned him, he had an even harder time with his fire - bending because of his inability to see 100%. this is not to take away from canon reasons as to why 𝒛uko has trouble fire - bending, but rather adds to it. (and adds to why 𝒛uko is so hardworking) there's a reason why 𝒛uko focuses on his right side so heavily whilst performing his moves; another reason as to why he wields dual swords better than he fire - bends, at least initially. (explanation for the latter: him relying on his other senses to train and get better).

#and tbh? we know 𝒛uko has very deep interpersonal issues #his father did a number on him emotionally #physicality aside #there is something to note about 𝒛uko feeling inadequate and useless #because he can't firebend the way his father - #- the way his village - expects him too... #there's a level of insecurity deep in him bc of his inabilities to bend the way he's expected to #and his own father disabling him doesn't help #TBT.
