Diwali and Air Pollution: Protecting Your Respiratory Health with Ziqitza Healthcare
Tumblr media
Diwali, known as the festival of lights, is a cherished celebration that takes place with great excitement throughout India. Families come together to enjoy delightful sweets and witness spectacular fireworks displays. However, amidst the festivities lies a concerning issue: a significant rise in air pollution. In this blog post, we will delve into the connection between Diwali and air pollution while offering practical suggestions to minimize exposure to pollutants. Additionally, we will explore how you can safeguard your respiratory health by learning about Ziqitza Healthcare and its visionary founder, Sweta Mangal.
Understanding the Link between Diwali and Air Pollution The link between Diwali and air pollution is undeniable. Firecrackers, which are a central aspect of Diwali festivities, release a harmful mix of chemicals into the air. This includes sulfur dioxide, heavy metals, and fine particulate matter (PM2.5). These pollutants can greatly affect the quality of the air we breathe and can have severe consequences on respiratory health, especially for children, older adults, and individuals with preexisting respiratory conditions.
As we celebrate the beautiful cultural tradition of Diwali, it is important to find a balance between enjoyment and environmental responsibility. Ziqitza Healthcare ltd, founded by Sweta Mangal, recognizes the importance of safeguarding public health during this festive season. They actively work towards mitigating the impact of air pollution on respiratory health.
Tips for Reducing Exposure to Air Pollutants during Diwali
Choose Eco-Friendly Fireworks: Consider choosing fireworks that are eco-friendly and emit fewer pollutants, minimizing their impact on air quality.
Limit Firecracker Usage: By limiting the number of firecrackers you set off, you can help reduce pollution levels. Enjoy the festivities without the excessive use of fireworks.
Close Windows and Doors: To minimize the impact of outdoor air pollutants, it is recommended to keep your windows and doors closed during peak fireworks hours. This will help maintain a cleaner indoor environment.
Ventilation Systems: Install air purifiers and maintain ventilation systems to filter and circulate clean air indoors.
Stay Informed: Keep an eye on air quality levels in your area through various air quality monitoring apps and stay indoors when air quality is poor.
Protecting Your Respiratory Health with Masks and Air Purifiers
Masks: Masks, especially N95 masks, are effective in filtering out harmful particles from the air. This straightforward measure can offer significant protection against air pollutants. It is important to use masks that are specifically approved for safeguarding against fine particulate matter.
Air Purifiers: Improve indoor air quality with air purifiers equipped with HEPA filters. Ziqitza limited understands the significance of clean air and provides expert advice on choosing and properly using the ideal air purifier for your home.
Post-Diwali Detox and Lung Health Maintenance
Stay Hydrated: Drinking enough water helps your body eliminate toxins and supports its natural detoxification processes.
Consume Antioxidant-Rich Foods: Include antioxidant-rich foods like fruits and vegetables in your diet to combat the oxidative stress caused by air pollutants.
Regular Exercise: Engage in regular physical activity to strengthen your respiratory system and improve lung health.
Seek Medical Advice: If you experience any respiratory discomfort or persistent symptoms following Diwali celebrations, it is advisable to consult a healthcare professional. They will conduct a comprehensive evaluation and recommend appropriate treatment as needed.
Sweta Mangal, Founder of Ziqitza and Ziqitza Rajasthan

Conclusion
Diwali is a time of celebration and happiness, but it's important to have responsible festivities. Understanding the connection between Diwali and air pollution can help us reduce our exposure to pollutants and protect our respiratory health. By using masks and air purifiers, we can enjoy the festival while minimizing any negative effects on our well-being. Companies like Ziqitza limited, are actively involved in promoting respiratory health and combating the impact of air pollution. Ziqitza Healthcare - The Health Benefits of Fasting During Karva Chauth
Tumblr media
Karva Chauth, a notable Hindu festival, is widely observed by married women in India. They fast from dawn until the appearance of the moon for their husbands' well-being. This tradition also brings potential health benefits. We will delve into these benefits and the historic value of this custom in this post. We'll discuss about the health perks of brief food breaks, give useful tips to stay energetic and hydrated, and how to merge tradition with today's diet standards. The roles of Ziqitza and Ziqitza Healthcare, under the lead of Sweta Mangal, will also be discussed.
Explaining the Fasting Tradition During Karva Chauth
Karva Chauth is a day of devotion and prayer observed by married women. On this day, they fast from sunrise until the moon is sighted. The fast is broken only after offering prayers to the moon, signaling the end of the day-long fast. Women traditionally believe that fasting on this auspicious day will bring blessings for their husbands' well-being and longevity.
The Potential Health Benefits of Intermittent Fasting
Intermittent fasting has gained popularity in recent years, and it's interesting to see how the Karva Chauth tradition aligns with some of the potential health benefits associated with this practice:
Weight Management: Fasting can be an effective strategy for managing weight by reducing calorie intake. The sunrise-to-moonrise fast observed during Karva Chauth, for example, can help create a caloric deficit and contribute to weight control.
Blood Sugar Regulation: Research has shown that intermittent fasting can have positive effects on insulin sensitivity and blood sugar control. Considering this, a well-structured fast such as Karva Chauth may also contribute to improved blood sugar regulation.
Cellular Repair and Longevity: Fasting triggers a cellular repair process called autophagy. In Karva Chauth fasting, the intention is to promote the longevity of one's spouse. Interestingly, intermittent fasting is also associated with longevity and improved cellular health.
Heart Health: Research indicates that intermittent fasting has the potential to enhance heart health by lowering risk factors such as cholesterol levels and blood pressure. Although the fast observed during Karva Chauth is of a shorter duration, it may still provide similar advantages.
Tips for Maintaining Energy and Hydration During the Fast
Pre-fast Meal: Before the fast begins, consume a balanced meal that includes complex carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats. This will provide sustained energy throughout the day.
Stay Hydrated: It's important to drink enough water before and after fasting to prevent weakness and dizziness. Make sure you consume ample water before starting the fast and when breaking it. Including hydrating foods like watermelon and cucumber in your pre-fast meal can also be beneficial.
Energy-Boosting Foods: Nuts, dried fruits, and fruits that are naturally high in sugars are great options for boosting your energy levels. It's a good idea to keep these snacks readily available for a quick and easy energy boost.
Avoid Overexertion: On Karva Chauth, it's best to avoid engaging in strenuous physical activities. Instead, prioritize rest and relaxation to conserve your energy.
Moderation is Key: Finding balance is key when breaking a fast. It's important to resist the temptation to overindulge and instead opt for a balanced, nutritious meal to avoid any discomfort.
Balancing Tradition with Modern Dietary Guidelines
While fasting during Karva Chauth may have potential health benefits, it's important to strike a balance between traditional and modern dietary guidelines. Seeking guidance from healthcare professionals, such as those at Ziqitza Healthcare ltd, can offer valuable insights on maintaining good health while fasting.
Ziqitza Rajasthan, led by Sweta Mangal Ziqitza, is a highly respected healthcare organization dedicated to delivering emergency medical services and healthcare solutions. They recognize the significance of cultural traditions and their influence on health. That's why they encourage safe fasting practices and provide guidance on maintaining good health during festivals like Karva Chauth.
Choosing to fast is a personal decision that can hold cultural and spiritual importance. However, it's important to prioritize your health and well-being. By following modern dietary guidelines and seeking guidance from healthcare professionals like Ziqitza limited, you can experience the benefits of traditional practices without compromising your health.
Conclusion
Wrapping this up, following the custom of Karva Chauth fasting could provide health benefits similar to what eating at certain times offers. The trick is to keep energy levels high and drink enough water throughout the day. Striking a balance between this tradition and modern eating advice, with help from healthcare experts such as Ziqitza Health care limited, makes it possible to keep Karva Chauth and look after your health. In the end, this practice has a special role in tightening the bond with your other half, while also looking after your own health.

Ziqitza Healthcare ltd – How Ziqitza can help you in setting up prevention health check-up camps for your organization with sustainable reporting and data.
Tumblr media
Many of us today live stressful lives as a result of demanding social responsibilities or pressing deadlines. However, in the midst of all of this commotion, we are more likely to neglect our health on a regular basis. Preventive treatment is extremely important since good health helps us to enjoy life and live well.
Chronic disease is responsible for the majority of fatalities and deaths, and half of them can be averted by recognizing early symptoms and risks through adequate screening and regular check-ups. A routine check-up will not only assess your overall health but will also identify any diseases or health issues before they manifest. In actuality, preventive health screenings can save our lives by keeping us informed about how fit and healthy we are.
Preventive health check-up packages and wellness checks are aimed to help people avoid diseases and afflictions caused by a number of factors such as genetic predisposition, environmental factors, lifestyle choices, and disease agents. Ziqitza Healthcare can help you in establishing a preventative health check-up camp for your company with long-term reporting and data. We can arrange health camps all over India to raise awareness about preventive health checkups. The benefit of health camps is that we offer services at affordable prices. The goal of the health camp is to raise awareness about preventive health screenings.
Ziqitza – Why Should You Get a Health checkup?
The global burden of non-communicable Diseases (NCDs) such as Cancer, Coronary Artery Disease, High Blood Pressure, High Blood Sugar (Diabetes), Cancer, and other diseases has increased drastically. NCDs claim the lives of more than 38 million people each year around the world. Unfortunately, NCDs are responsible for 17% of all deaths in India.
People who live in cities are more vulnerable to NCDs than those who do not. Fortunately, most of these problems can be avoided if detected and treated early on, and/or can be effectively managed if not cured in a few cases.
Health checks might help you discover a potential sickness or condition even if you don’t have any symptoms. Early detection and treatment can improve medical results and lower the chance of serious repercussions.
Ziqitza  – How Can Routine Check-Ups Help Your Health?
Regular health checks may help you uncover if you are suffering from an undiagnosed serious illness that requires treatment. Even if you don’t have any symptoms, regular health checkups can detect potentially deadly conditions early on. That’s why they’re so important. You may be able to spot any latent conditions that can be treated and ensure that you live a healthy life if you schedule regular health check-ups. For example, you may be unaware that you have excessive blood sugar, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol levels because the symptoms are minor at first.
The sooner a doctor recognizes and treats an ailment, the higher the chances of a full recovery. Many tests should be performed at each wellness check-up. A healthcare practitioner may recommend blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol, mammography, HIV testing, blood glucose testing, genetic testing for specific diseases (breast or ovarian cancer for some women), osteoporosis screening, and a variety of other tests. Basic health checks that should be done on a regular basis Our bodies become a breeding ground for a variety of illnesses as we get older. As early as your twenties and thirties, you may experience health issues and challenges. As you become older, you become more careful. After you reach your forties, in addition to all of the tests required at the age of 20, add the following to your list. An increase in blood sugar levels is a symptom of diabetes.
Some of the most common checkups include checking blood pressure, biannual dental exams and cleanings, cholesterol and glucose levels, and periodic blood testing. It is vital for persons who are sexually active to see a doctor for regular exams and screenings, as well as a yearly pap smear if they are female.
Glaucoma Eye Exam: If not treated promptly, this can lead to a partial (or complete) loss of vision.
Women’s Mammography: A mammogram is an x-ray of the breast that is used to identify breast cancer even when there are no symptoms. Regular self-exams will ensure that your breasts are not ignored. Consult a doctor if you notice any carcinogenic signs (such as lumps or swelling, redness, scaling, or discharge from the nipples).
Regular Gynecologist Visits: Every year, women should undergo a pap smear. A Pap smear is a cervical screening test that looks for precancerous and cancerous cells in the cervix.

Ziqitza Healthcare ltd – Safe Handling of the Morbidly Obese Patient
Tumblr media
What is Morbidly Obese Patient
It’s critical to have a precise definition of morbid obesity because it helps doctors choose the best treatment choices for patients who are overweight. If a person’s weight is more than 80 to 100 pounds above their optimal body weight, they are labeled grossly obese.
The body mass index is a more commonly recognized and precise technique to characterize morbid obesity (BMI). The BMI is calculated using the following formula:
BMI = weight (kg) divided by height (m) (m2)
A BMI of 40 or above implies that the person is morbidly obese and hence a candidate for bariatric surgery. People with a BMI of 35 to 40 who have life-threatening cardiac disorders, diabetes, or any of the other medical conditions listed below may benefit from bariatric surgery. Motivation and behavior, like with other obesity therapies, can influence good outcomes.
Obese people are more likely to have medical concerns. As one’s weight rises, the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and early mortality rises drastically. Guys between the ages of 25 and 35 who are morbidly obese have a 12-fold higher chance of dying prematurely than men of the same age who are normal weight.
Ziqitza Rajasthan –  Some of the ways to handle the Morbidly Obese Patient are
Dietary restrictions
Diets that are low in calories
Your doctor may prescribe a lower-calorie diet of 1,200 to 1,500 calories per day for women and 1,500 to 1,800 calories per day for men. Your body weight and level of physical activity impact the number of calories you consume. A low-calorie diet rich in a variety of nutritious foods can supply you with all of the nutrients you need to be healthy.
Fasting on a regular basis
Intermittent fasting is another method of limiting food consumption that is gaining popularity as a weight-loss and health-promoting technique. Alternate-day fasting is a kind of intermittent fasting that involves alternating between a “fast day” (eating no calories to one-fourth of caloric needs) and a “fed day,” or a day with no restrictions. Intermittent fasting as a weight-loss method has only been studied in a few research. They don’t have any long-term data on the safety and efficacy of intermittent fasting.
Physical activity and exercise
Calories are burned through physical activity and exercise. The number of calories expended is determined by the activity’s nature, duration, and intensity. It also depends on the person’s weight. Because the strain of carrying those extra 80 pounds must be taken in, a 200-pound person will burn more calories jogging 1 mile than a 120-pound person. However, exercise is most successful as an obesity therapy when paired with a diet and weight-loss regimen. Activity alone, without dietary adjustments, has a limited effect on weight loss since it takes a lot of exercises to drop one pound. Regular exercise, on the other hand, is a crucial aspect of a healthy lifestyle for long-term weight maintenance. When compared to individuals who diet alone, frequent exercise as part of a weight-reduction program results in a larger loss of body fat vs lean muscle.
Exercise guidelines in general
Five to seven days a week, preferably daily, engage in 20-30 minutes of moderate activity. Stationary bicycles, treadmill walking or jogging, stair climbing devices, running, and swimming are all examples of exercise.
Smaller 10-minute sessions might be used to break up the exercise.
Begin cautiously and gradually to minimize harm, unnecessary discomfort, or exhaustion. Over time, gradually increase your daily exercise to 30-60 minutes of moderate to intense activity.
It is never too late to begin exercising. Even older people who are feeble (70-90 years old) can increase their strength and balance.
Take safety precautions.
Before engaging in strenuous activity, the following persons should get medical advice:
Men and women in their forties and fifties
Heart or lung illness, asthma, arthritis, or osteoporosis patients
Individuals who rapidly acquire weariness or shortness of breath, or who suffer chest tightness or discomfort with exertion
Individuals with symptoms or lifestyle factors that raise their risk of coronary heart disease, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, cigarette smoking, high blood cholesterol, or a family history of early-onset heart attacks and coronary heart disease.

Ziqitza Healthcare ltd – celebrates World Diabetes Day
Tumblr media
Ziqitza is a well-known provider of primary healthcare services in India and the Gulf, with 42 million Indians served to date. In the previous year, around 2.5 lakh Covid patients were supplied. The Times Social Impact Award went to Ziqitza Limited, which is placed #34 in the Global Real Impact Awards.
Since 2005, we’ve built a highly successful and differentiated Public Private Partnership business in five Indian states, where we provide Primary Response Medical Service to the urban and rural sectors with a network of 3000 ambulances staffed by trained paramedics and drivers to attend to both emergency and non-emergency patients.
With the support of its frontline Corona Warriors, Ziqitza Healthcare Ltd, Asia’s largest emergency service provider, served 32000 COVID cases in Punjab from April to September. As it does every year, Ziqitza Healthcare ltd will observe World Diabetes Day.It is an annual global awareness campaign focusing on diabetes mellitus that takes place on November 14th. Ziqitza Healthcare Ltd has successfully served over 2 million people in Punjab. With a fleet of 242 ambulances, Ziqitza Limited commenced operations in Punjab in 2011. Ziqitza Healthcare works with the state government in Punjab to provide medical emergency services to the general public.
Every year on November 14th, World Diabetes Day is the primary global awareness campaign focusing on diabetes mellitus.
Each World Diabetes Day, organised by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), focuses on a different issue linked to diabetes; type-2 diabetes is a mostly preventable and treatable non-communicable illness that is quickly increasing in prevalence around the world. Although type 1 diabetes cannot be prevented, it can be controlled with insulin injections. Diabetes and human rights, diabetes and lifestyle, diabetes and obesity, diabetes among the poor and vulnerable, and diabetes in children and adolescents have all been discussed. While the campaigns run throughout the year, the day itself commemorates Frederick Banting’s birthday, when he, along with Charles Best and John James Rickard Macleod, came up with the idea that led to the discovery of insulin in 1922.
HISTORY OF WORLD DIABETES DAY
The International Diabetes Federation and the World Health Organization (WHO) established World Diabetes Day in 1991 in response to the significant rise of diabetes around the world.
By 2016, approximately 230 IDF member associations in over 160 countries and territories, as well as other organisations, enterprises, healthcare professionals, politicians, celebrities, and people living with diabetes and their families, were commemorating World Diabetes Day. Diabetes screening programmes, radio and television ads, sports events, and other activities are among the activities.
HOW TO OBSERVE WORLD DIABETES DAY
Wear the blue circle
The blue circle emblem is recognised around the world as a symbol of diabetes awareness. Wear a t-shirt, necklace, or bracelet with the logo on World Diabetes Day, or make one yourself, to raise awareness of this serious disease and its consequences.
Organize a diabetes fair
Collaborate with local health officials to host a diabetes expo at your workplace or in your community. Provide diabetes screenings, distribute information and pamphlets, and advise individuals on how to avoid type 2 diabetes and be healthy.
Get tested
Excessive urine excretion, thirst, persistent hunger, weight loss, eyesight problems, and exhaustion are just a few of the symptoms of diabetes. Furthermore, being overweight or obese significantly raises the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Undiagnosed diabetes affects one out of every two adults. If you have any risk factors or symptoms, use World Diabetes Day as a reminder to get checked.
WHY WORLD DIABETES DAY IS IMPORTANT
It raises awareness about the diabetes epidemic
Diabetic diagnoses grew by 380 percent over a 25-year period (from 1988 to 2013). And these diagnoses are dangerous: the World Health Organization expects that diabetes will be the world’s eighth biggest cause of death by 2030. This condition necessitates attention, which is why dedicating an entire day to it is critical.
Diabetes type 2 can be avoided
World Diabetes Day acts as a wake-up call to live a healthier lifestyle. Type II diabetes can be controlled by eating a balanced diet, exercising regularly, and maintaining a healthy weight. Tobacco usage aggravates type 2 diabetes and should be avoided.
It’s a good reminder to stay informed about diabetes
Although type 2 diabetes has reached pandemic proportions, type I diabetes, often known as juvenile diabetes, is a severe health issue. Type I diabetes affects around 1.25 million Americans, although the source of the condition is unknown. The health consequences, on the other hand, are exactly as bad as type 2 diabetes. World Diabetes Day acts as a reminder to be aware of diabetes symptoms, to be diagnosed, and to receive treatment.
