This isnt a request. I was just looking for some advice for writing for Zim. Your really talented and very good at producing accurate depictions of Zim so I was hoping you could give me a little advice on how to do that, if that's okay with you. Thank you💞❤

Hi! Thank you so much for the compliments, your words really mean a lot to me. I’m so glad you think how I portray Zim is accurate. As for advice, I’m not the best at giving it, but I can try my best!  If it’s been a hot minute since seeing the show or the movie, watching clips with Zim, especially his interactions with others, helps a lot. Tak the Hideous New Girl can be used as a good reference for certain scenarios. Or even just looking at the transcripts available on the Invader Zim fandom wiki. Mainly just keeping in mind that Zim doesn’t have a grasp on affection, at least in a human sense. But I think the most important thing, at least that I try to incorporate, is that he’s very much a bit of a tsundere type egotist. If he wants affection or contact, he absolutely will not directly ask for it, rather try to make it seem like the reader’s idea, or make his intentions not seem obvious (although usually failing miserably because it’s Zim we’re talking about).  Like previously stated, he’s very much an egotist, but I like to think he’s always trying to impress the reader, or is seeking validation or approval of some kind. It’s like with his Tallest, if he cares about your opinion, he does everything in his power to impress you. He’s also incredibly dramatic at times imo. Another one of my personal writing headcanons is that he’s very protective, jealous, and possessive, although not to a problematic or toxic extent. In his mind, Zim belongs to the reader, and the reader belongs to Zim. If Dib is in the equation, especially in a love triangle, those traits get cranked up even higher with an added competitive component. Overall, he genuinely wants to do everything he can to be the best lovepig he can be, even though he shows his affection in his own special Zim way. I’m in no way an expert for writing Zim or anything, but these are just some little things I do, or at least try to do. There’s no set formula for writing, and I feel like everyone puts their own spin on a character in one way or another.

Hi, yes I did. I haven’t been on tumblr in almost a month, I’ve been busy with classes and other things in my personal life, and I just haven’t had a lot of time for tumblr recently.  This is just a personal thing, and it’s not to be rude, but leaving a reminder ask in my box every day since the original set of asks isn’t the best way to go about it. I know you didn’t mean anything by it, and I don’t mean anything by this, but please refrain from doing that. It stresses me out because I don’t want to feel like I’m neglecting people when I have my own things I’m trying to juggle right now outside of this account.  I’m not sure when I will get to your requests, since I have 20+ asks in my box right now. That being said, you’re welcome to drop your requests with someone else as well since it might be a while before I can get around to them.

I believe you’re referring to where someone submits specific information relevant to them, and the author pairs them with a character?

Unfortunately, no, I don’t do those. I’ve done them on a separate blog for a different fandom, and I just got so burnt out. I wish I could point you in the direction of an IZ blog who does participate in ships, but I’m not quite sure. I’m sorry!!

On the off chance you were referring to ships between canon characters (one shots or headcanons), I do write for that, I just never get requests for them.

Oh, I love them!! I have one shot like that in my long list of WIPs. It’s a fun dynamic to mess around with, and I’m super excited for when I can finally get around to writing it. I also have another one shot coming up where Dib and Zim both liking the reader is minorly involved, although the Dib x reader isn’t the main focus of it.

Remind me to never edit anything on mobile ever again. I just slightly changed a title of one of my fics and THE ENITRE BODY of the post (the fic itself, aka everything but the tags and title) DELETED ITSELF.

Luckily I don’t actually type them on tumblr (except for headcanons) so I have a base copy saved somewhere else, for this exact reason I might add. Every single time I’ve edited something on mobile something goes wrong. Sometimes it’s the read more links disappearing, so I have to go back on desktop to fix it, or in this case, it was the whole damn fic leaving the chat. I’m assuming no one noticed that it happened, but just in case you did, this was why lmao.
