I find myself analyzing every little Katt and Goldie interaction even if they’re not interacting. Today I noticed that they were both in their respective homes at the same time. So I visited Goldie who had a guest over.

Klaus (who is new on the island) was pushing Goldie around her house with a mean look on his face. It looked really weird. Then he sat down abruptly in front of her workbench.

Then I finally decided to speak to Goldie. She immediately started talking about the gift she had me deliver yesterday. Usually villagers talk about them hosting a guest in this situation. But the games algorithm made her follow up with the last task.

I visited Katt shortly after. She has her baby bear on display and she’s just chillin at home.

Blurry picture, sorry. But boy, do I have a story for you.

For 3-4 months, I stopped playing Animal Crossing. In those two months, I forgot to pay off the incline to Goldie and Katt’s house. When I logged back in, I saw that they were stranded and sort of quarantined on their cliff. And on New Year’s Eve, poor Goldie was dressed up all prettily for a celebration, but she couldn’t join😭. I felt terrible, so I quickly paid off the incline.

Today was an interesting day for Goldie and Katt. Neither of them left their small cliff. Everytime I came to check in them they were hanging out in Goldie’s front lawn. I know LGBT ACNH players peg Katt to be a lesbian. And today, I really saw it. While Goldie was studying her flowers, Katt was pacing side to side. Her face alternated between happy and sad as if she were thinking of something. Then she was going back and forth between looking at her soup and Goldie. Mind you, this all happened after a big fight they had earlier (Katt had spoiled the ending of Goldie’s book).

With this, I coined a theory. While they were stranded on the cliff for months, the cat and dog grew a liking towards each other. I won’t say they’re girlfriends, but I’ll definitely say they’re close.

Big news for Goldie and Katt’s relationship today. And I have the screenshots to prove it.

Goldie bought Katt a present, but was too shy to deliver it herself.

Katt opened it to find a baby bear, her ‘one weakness.’

Katt said that they have a lot in common.

I’m excited to see how this all plays out. And I will keep documenting interactions.

I am devastated!

Goldie visited my island and I was excited to get her to move in. I was hoping one of my least favorite villagers would move out. But to no prevail.

Alas, it was Tybalt who had been meaning to move out. Tybalt was the first villager I ever had on New Horizons and I was set to hold onto him for a long time.
