Guess what happened? Distant distand distant family comes to visit for the holidays without warning and stayed for way too long. I am about ready to kill myself.
Luckily though, the free time i mentioned goes until at the very least mid january, possibly until the end of january, so that increased productivity i mentioned is still coming!
They are still staying till sunday, so from monday on i should be ready again.

I would call that relatable, but from my experiences and from what other people told me this feeling of not wanting to show of your work is mostly because you know your work sucks big time. I can still feel for her though, especially after seeing what she had to deal with all her life.

One of my followers misunderstood something, so let me explain. You guys have probably noticed that i like to call Pisard, the starter villain of Pretty Cure....
David Bowie from Labyrinth.
That is because David Bowie was in a movie called Labyrinth, and in that movie he looked like this
So yeah. Way back when i first watched the show this comparison sprung into my mind immediately, and it never left. ^ ^
It has nothing to do with Fresh PreCure, which i haven‘t seen yet. So yeah, just wanted to make sure there aren‘t any misunderstandings.

Welp, now we know that being a complete weirdo who probably doesn’t have any friends runs in the family.
Loreweaver would absolutely love this guy.
I was going to make a screenshot of the mom saying that, but for some reason it won’t let me upload that specific file.
Anyway, we have a weird emotionally stunted robot artist, a werido who gets emotional while looking at frog eggs, and a woman who is obsessed with what people in the distant past did.
What a nice family. Mai should move in with Saki, i bet she‘d become much more social within a month.

Why would i be kidding? How does the first part of the title relate to the second one? Are spring and cicadas something to be that surprised about?
8/10 , really enjoyed that title.
Okay, that makes the scenery of spring thing actually relevant to the episode. Subtract one number from my scoring of the title.
Of course.
This would be really easy where i live. Our scenery never changes, except the one day every year it snows in winter.

Let’s see how much more i can get out of this intro by paying extra attention to the visuals of the first half. We already have another potential Mai robot face at the very beginning, so i am hopeful.
This part of the intro is just really cute.
Le sigh. More magic. I want you guys to prepare for something. You know how the battle portions of these episodes usually get very little commentary from me compared to the rest? This may shrink even further the more they go away from the heavily physical fighting of the first two seasons. So don’t be surprised if at some point the only post regarding a fight will be me rating the Uzainaa. ^^
Okay, so the guy in the intro IS Akudaikaan. Good. - 1 point for the actual evil leader having probably the worst case of Head To Body size ratio in this series so far.
Well......he obviously sucks. David Bowie from Labyrinth was incredibly weak too. Circulas was the only starter villain that was somewhat keeping up till the end.
.........You know that this will backfire spectacularly, right? I know your bluffing to not lose standing, but if you fail miserably again after declaring to have found their weak point it will make you look like even more of a useless chump.
Fighting against a teenage wizard and losing is one thing, but fighting against a teenage wizard and losing after you told your boss you have anti-magic armor is another thing entirely.

Thanks a lot Saki, i bet that pressure to live up to your expectations is exactly what Mai needed right now.
Did the art team chance between Max Heart and this? And if not, then why are so many shots of our protagonists so somewhat-but-not-completely weird looking?
Also, good job accepting in Mai’s place. We all could learn a thing or two about friendship from Saki. Not the rolemodel we need, but the rolemodel we deserve.

How in the world did you get the lead of the pencil that long?!
It really really depends on what route she takes. To be just a professional artist she’ll have to be a heck of a lot better and more unique, though if she takes on commissions and paid artwork for businesses and the like then it could work out i think.
Who are you, and what is wrong with your face?
Let’s not exaggerate here, aight? It’s good, but it’s not mindblowingly incredible.

I’d say “You’ll get used to it“, but Nagisa and Honoka never seemed to for some reason.

This was a very middle of the road episode. There is almost nothing to say about it except that i really enjoyed the family stuff. I think if you’re into base- or softball you’ll get more out of this episode than i did.
Saki was great, Mai was Mai being Mai, and overall it was a decent episode.
I’d give it 3 generations before the famine decimates life on the planet enough that a powerhungry dictator comes into power and hunts Saki and her family down to give her the ironic punishment of being eaten alive by the people who were starving because of her out of 5.

I feel ya girls. I know what loosing spectacularly feels like. Though i am pretty sure they are going to turn it around before the end of the episode.
I actually have no idea how anything that she has drawn could help them suck less at softball, so i am pretty intersted where this is going.

Oh man, are we going to do the stupid fun thing again? Those were my least favourite sport episodes last season. Crossing my fingers.

Once again, i don’t really know what to type here, but one of the rules i set for myself way back when i started this whole liveblogging business was that i would make a screenshot for every moment that provoked a particularly strong emotional reaction from me, so here we are.
Naturally, that was before i knew this show was so full of family goodness, or i probably wouldn’t have decided to do that. ^ ^
But anyway, great dad, A+ , would not want him to come to my games again because we are actually losing money everytime he does it.
This is the best school uniform ever. They are all little business people. The only thing that’s missing is the briefcase, and a distinct air of fakeness clouding the air everytime they open their mouths.
Everyone is looking shocked and i, who has never seen a baseball game in his life, have no idea what’s going on.
What does Safe mean? Is it good? Is it bad? Explain the rules to me, show! Please?
