💎The general shape of crystal is called its habit. Crystal habit is helpful when deciding what kind they are.
💎Our habits also can tell what kind of people we are.
🪨💎These crystals are sometimes found inside of a hollow rock ball called geode. The lowly geode is not attractive on the outside but it is "all glorious within" (Psalm 45:13).
🪨💎It reminds us of: 1 Peter 3:3-4
"Your adornment must not be merely external-braiding the hair, and wearing gold jewelry, or putting on dresses;
but let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God."
🦪 When a piece of sand, or other substance gets inside the shell, causing irritation, the oyster makes a special substance called "nacre."
🦪 This nacre covers the foreign matter with thin layers and finally, that piece of sand or substance is enclosed in the nacre, making a pearl!
...
🦪 This reminds us that by responding to irritations (difficulties, problems, trials, sufferings) in the right way, we can develop a beauty of character that is gained in no other way. 🙏♥️
The order of the kids' activity is to mix the plaster of Paris with water, pour it to the mold, let it harden and paint!
🪨
Gypsum is a sedimentary mineral. Some useful things made from it are plaster of Paris, plaster wallboard and blackboard.
🪨
"Each mineral is different. Each person handles their tests and trials differently. It is important that we honor God by the tests in our lives. Let us continue to be a witness for God through every test or trial, like Daniel did!" 🦁
🪨
"And the deliverance of Daniel from the den of lions was another evidence that the Being whom he worshipped was the true and living God."
🪨
Daniel's secret? He practiced orderliness in his life. He prayed to God and always put Him first. 🤗🙏
Another happy Sabbath day with NWC! 🥰 Today's message was about preparing for the soon return of Jesus. Are we ready? Are we training our children to be ready for it?
On Sunday, my ate's fam together with ma and pa had lunch at home and then ate just randomly invited to go to SM. She treated us to yummy yogurts and unli food resto. Happy tummies again! Clark and I went to buy groceries while they went shopping.
With the kids this week, it was all about play and piano practices. Reading stories to them, doing chores. Having Maev join them made the house look like a daycare center plus their new slide!
It has also been almost a month since our last piano lesson and I'm so proud and happy that Kiaree got the techniques correctly with Teacher Lani commenting on how there was no wasted time for Kiaree and I. Praise the Lord! Praise Him for Kiaree's diligence and obedience in our practices at home, even in her tiny organ in Candelaria.
Oh, and since the start of April, we have had fun delivering Mango Pies here in the area! We are blessed to have people ordering and enjoying the pies we discovered in Candelaria.
Today is a special day for the Lord blessed me as I taught our kids today. It's about worshipping God when we serve others. Jesus showed this when He washed the feet of His disciples.
I also praise the Lord for the message this Sabbath entitled "I take what's left"
Matthew 13:18-23
• Soil= heart; seeds= Word of God
• Goal: Magbunga ang Salita ng Diyos sa buhay natin
• Wayside soil, matigas. Indi bumabaon ang seeds. Araw-araw nilalakaran at inaapak apakan. (Verses 18-19)
• Ganun din sa heart, indi na mapasukan ng salit ng Diyos.
• When our hearts harden, it will be hard to receive the word of God.
• Stony soil = panandalian lamang (verses 20-21)
• Stones are secret things we keep in our heart that hinders us to receive the Word
• Sa church holy, sa labas, worldly
• If we behold these stones or secret sins, transformation will be very hard
• When we behold Jesus, we become like Him
• Thorny soil (verse 22)
• Same as the stony soil, but not in secret, lantaran
• Engrossed with the cares and things of this world
• These things choke the Word of God
• Pinagsasabay ang worldly things at ang Diyos, result= unfruitful
• Good soil
• Nareceive ang Word, and beareth fruit
• What is the good soil?
• Jesus, the Sower parin ang gagawa ng paraan para maging good soil.
• Wayward soil: palalambutin Niya, bubungkalin Niya
• Stony soil: tatanggalin Niya ang stones, ang secret sins
• Thorny Soil: tatanggalin Niya ang thorns hanggang sa ugat para lumabas ang good soil
• Good soil: ready na taniman ni Jesus
Verse 23: bakit may 100%, 60% at 30%?
Still. Nagbunga.
When we live in sin long enough, it will destroy us and our capacity to bear much fruit. The Lord forgives pero ang ating potential ay mababawasan.
Classic example: David. Hindi pinayagan ni Lord na sya ang mag build ng temple, kasi madugo na ang kamay niya.
♥️♥️
Praise the Lord that we were able to discuss the messags with Kiaree at home and she loved the message too with the soil as object lesson. 🌱
We were in Candelaria this week and so opted to stay here for Aianna's birthday! We just went for a dip in the really cold waters in San Pablo, Laguna 💛 always a happy time when kids enjoy our trips!
Happy 2nd birthday our Aiamyrrh! 💕 I am soooo thankful you came into our lives. Because of your arrival I desired to stay at home for you and ate Kiaree-- to be your mama, teacher, nurse, counselor, fashion designer, chef, baker, housekeeper, hair stylist (wait, what hair, aianna?), and best friend! Best decision ever. ♥️ continue being that adorable, bold, happy little girl that you are! Can't wait to see what you will love to do more as you grow....may God use you for His work, keep and bless you always, my love. I love you sooooo much! 🤗😘
Our first time attending church here in Candelaria ♥️ The sermon was about parenting and how important it is to be present in the lives of our children. How very fitting in what we are trying to do in this True Education journey, praise the Lord!
So before all the walking and strolling in Manila, we had a really fun time the night before making sure their 20kg baggage each is intact! All the calories from the pizza, samgyup and grilled fish were burned cling wrapping their bags!
And it's time for them to go back home to Mindanao. I am so so thankful for this really wonderful time together! Sa uulitin! ♥️
Yey! Happy to bring family from Mindanao here in Manila! It was nice to be back in Fort Santiago. The last time we were here was 2019 and Kiaree was only 5 months old then and we were with mama and papa. Now having mommyla and uncle Elik with us is another memory to remember!
It's also an opportunity for PE and History class! Likewise, appreciating the beauty of the stones used for the historic buildings here. 🪨
Happy to be in the company of mommyla, her brother uncle Elik, his children Japoy, Raizah and their partners Susie and CJ! They all went here to witness and celebrate with us Raizah's achievement in graduating Jail Basic Recruit Course! Yey! Congratulations Jo1 Raizah Colongan! 🥰
For the first 3 days they were here, we just spent time in the mall, graduation ceremony, basking in the Tagaytay breeze and delicious food, bonding at home cooking, eating, painting with the kids, and playing playstation.
We are only few today, but had a fun time with the babies! 🥰
God's message thru Pastor Marfeal today is just short but powerful. In John 1:1-3, John is not arguing about the Word being God. He is simply saying it. Our focus should be on verse 14: "And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth."
Let us invite Jesus to dwell in our homes, in our hearts...and He will be the One to teach us about the Word. ♥️🙏
We had our fellowship lunch right after then home for a short nap. We invited the Gaerlans to come over and the kids had a wonderful afternoon!
