Work rant below. Fucking not in a great mood, is the long and short of it, but.

I've been at my current job for about a month now. Everything about it is brand new to me, because aside from a brief stint at an Amazon warehouse, I haven't worked before. One of my bosses is someone I went to high school with and was friends with. You'd think people would have the fucking decency to tell me when I'm fucking up long before it's potentially a huge problem.

Apparently fucking not.

Not just me. Everyone that isn't my old friend, the one older cashier lady, and the store manager doesn't get told shit about what we're doing wrong until corporate is almost due to be here. Do you know what "recovery" is? I thought (and was led to believe) it's just finding things customers put in the wrong place and putting it back where it actually goes. Only recently was I told that it's also bringing everything as close to the edge of the fucking shelf as possible and keeping the shit in a proper location without bleeding over into the other products' areas. Apparently none of us have been doing that correctly this entire time, but THEY'RE JUST NOW FUCKING TELLING US THIS.

The worst part is I KNOW my old friend and the store manager have been bitching about this to each other via written notes as well as gossip whenever they (and that older cashier lady) go on one of their million smoke breaks. They've passive aggressive. ALSO my old friend has told *me* about some of her complaints with the other two cashiers and the other assistant manager, so who fucking knows what she's saying about ME when she's with others.

I'm just fucking done and annoyed. Aren't we all fucking adults? Can't you tell me well before corporate's gonna show that I'm doing something fucking wrong instead of waiting for weeks, knowing I'm doing it incorrectly and complaining to your buds about it?!

And not only that, can't you not be so fucking condescending, saying we're "going on a walk" around the store and simultaneously talking to me like I'm five and also like someone who should know this shit already?!

I'm a frustrated crier so once I was in the van with my dad on the way home and away from my coworkers I broke down and told him what was bothering me. He offered no real sympathy, saying it's gonna be like that no matter where I work, that people bitch about their workers and bosses and coworkers--BUT THAT WASN'T THE FUCKING POINT I WAS TRYING TO MAKE!!!
