Soleil Apartments was always the same. Never changing. Today, too, Miku sat at the window, watching as the residents of Soleil Apartments hurried past, busy. One of her hobbies was trying to memorize every single person who lived on her floor of the apartments.

But the girl struggling with a suitcase, a bag, and multiple boxes was unfamiliar. Miku definitely hadn’t seen her before. Could she be a new resident of apartments? Miku didn’t know, but all that luggage looked heavy.

“Hey, miss!” Miku called, leaning out the window. “Are you okay? Those look heavy! I can help you, if you want.”

Akame paused when she heard the voice. Where was it coming from. She looked this way than that until she saw the girl sticking out the window. She must have been a resident here.

“Oh yeah that would be great, I’m Akame by the way. Nice to meet you.”

Breaking the rules

Akame walked into the aquatic center. She was not planning on swimming right now but she wanted to look around. Knowing herself she would come by sooner rather than later so it can’t hurt to see everything that’s in the center. She walked past the lockers and into the pool room when she felt her stomach growl. Hmmmm going to need a snack. She grabbed her messenger bag and pulled out a piece of fried chicken she made yesterday. As she took a bite she looked at the pool goers splashing and diving overall just having a good time. She took another bite and closed her eyes concentrating on the taste.The bliss of eating amazing food however, was quickly interrupted when a loud whistle loudly echoing through the pool area.

Cooking Time

Akame got together all the ingredients she needed the chicken, pan, flour... at every ingredient or utensil she pointed her finger at reassuring herself she has everything.

 Now the oil..oil? She looked at the counter with all the kitchen stuff she had sent ahead. Hmm where was it she looked back through the large cardboard box and the old cupboards. No oil. Akame sighed she really did not want to go to the store again. Hmmm maybe one of her neighbors had some. She left her apartment and looked at the other doors on her floor. She walked down the hall until she heard music out of one of the rooms. She went and knocked saying “Excuse me I just moved in I was wondering if you have an oil I can borrow?”

Akame was walking carefully down the hallway trying to keep the large boxes balanced under her arms as she dragged a red suitcase behind her and holding a large duffel bag in the other. Only a few more doors and she could finally put everything down in her new apartment. Her arms did not ache yet but it was an extremely awkward position to hold.

Akame looked at the rabid red head in front of her demanding food, she was not too different from an old friend of hers, it caused her to pause just slightly. 

Hmm... she could tell she wasn’t being like the other self dignified customers she was just hungry. 

“You need to wait in line with everyone else.” She spoke as several customers shouted out and complained wondering why she was catering to them.

“I’ll tell the cook, just get in line to pay and it will be ready for you after it goes through the register. I’ll sneak some bacon on it for you.” She said speaking much quieter it was not often she met other people with her same love of meat.

Kyoko was walking back to her apartment from work, trying not to kill the people who were staring at her uniform. And on top of that, her stomach was not happy with her right now. She decided to cover a co-worker’s shift, because money, and she forgot to ask for her food break. She could feel her stomach’s emptiness. 

“Damn, I really need some food right now.”

And the moment she said that, her prayers were answered: McQueen. Saliva started to pool in her mouth, and she rushed into the fast-food restaurant.

She marched up to the counter, not at all ignoring the people already in line, and slamming her fist on said counter.

“One double-burger, xtra large fires, and a chocolate milkshake please!”4
