i love my character encyclopedia omg patty's post reminded me of it. it's so handy and perfect with short bios, personality types, birthdays, names, short facts, and i even have pictures of who i envision each character to look like if i have a face in mind and gosh it took me so long to actually think out my projects and make it wow

fun with personality types: intp
last of the introverts omg but this is weird i don't know a single intp so i have no one to compare these kids to. well, whatever.
the INTP!
Logical, original, creative thinkers. Can become very excited about theories and ideas. Exceptionally capable and driven to turn theories into clear understandings. Highly value knowledge, competence and logic. Quiet and reserved, hard to get to know well. Individualistic, having no interest in leading or following others.
to me an INTP is almost me because i'm on the border of thinking and feeling. they're just more on the logical side of decision making than i am.
cooper bayne. he's in the same story as spencer (infj) and he's the leader more or less, but only because he was assigned that role. he had no desire to fill it until life and limb fell on the line. he's highly logical and a creative thinker. he comes up with the best ways to get back at those after he and his friends. he's so interested in finding hidden meaning and to understand his predicament. he just wants logical thinkers around him so he won't have to boss them around and he keeps to himself otherwise. no one really knows what happens in bayne's mind.
valerie (leah) cross - she's jon cross's wife that he doesn't seem to know as well as he thinks he does. she seems sweet on the outside and she is, but she has a rich set of secrets and inner workings. she's highly logical with a feeler's outer shell. she's also very independent and that is why she's facing this inner battle with someone wishing to get in her head and control her. her mind is valerie's safe haven and when that's threatened, she's forced to spring into action to save herself.
isabella halligan. she's a funny girl because's she's soft spoken but everything she says is something unexpected. people have to do a double take when they hear her speak because she's highly intelligent and impulsive with a quick wit. she is usually quiet with the same tone of voice for most of what she says. she's a risk taker and despite being a logical thinker, she applies it to the wrong set of ideas so her plans are usually dangerous. she doesn't quite understand feelings like she could, either. she just wants to do her own thing a lot of the time, but will lead if it comes down to it.
jake turner is my prototype intp. he's a musician and a graffiti artist who just hangs out in the background but plots well-thought-out ideas to be underhandedly noticed by school officials. his abstract way of thinking gives him obscure ideas on how things should be. he also lives inside his own brain, constantly finding new ideas for himself. he overanalyzes the meanings of things he comes across and it sometimes gets him into trouble in social situations. despite his way of thinking, he has a messy way of organizing the steps towards his extravagant future and it's problematic sometimes.

fun with personality types: intj
this personality type is always interesting because i know one that annoys the crap out of me sometimes, i'm pretty sure my grandpa is this type and i hate him with every fiber of my being, but one of my best friends is also this type so idk man idk anyways.
the intj
Independent, original, analytical, and determined. Have an exceptional ability to turn theories into solid plans of action. Highly value knowledge, competence, and structure. Driven to derive meaning from their visions. Long-range thinkers. Have very high standards for their performance, and the performance of others. Natural leaders, but will follow if they trust existing leaders.
well this fits my friend billy to a t. he's so shockingly independent, analytically determined for things to go his way, and driven by planning. he's convinced everything he says is correct too. he's so into his own logical ideas and structure and order and can't function without it. he's also a recluse who hates social interaction without planning it way in advance. his high standards are ridiculous too and he leads EVERYONE.
genny ryder - once again, when i was a sophomore or freshman in high school i wrote my first full novel and it involved this main character who was a complete anomaly. she hates social interaction and being forced to do things that involve it unless it's to undermine someone else. she does love her friends but would rather not hang out with them because they truly annoy her most of the time. she's always determined to get her way and because of that she's super selfish and doesn't exactly care about anyone else's feelings. she big on structure and order and setting up her life according to what she wants rather than anyone else. she's also driven by meaning and is so interested in figuring out what things mean.
joshua orth, one of my first real antagonists. he's a sociopathic, sadistic, narcissistic serial killer who's out for blood. he kills people by getting into their heads and forcing them to do things they wouldn't ever dream of, basically living their worst nightmares and lets them stew in it before finishing them off. he ends up going after genny in the same story but spares her because he feels a strong connection with her. (ironically enough i sorted them both into this personality type without noticing). he's independent and hasn't had anyone by his side in years and he likes it that way, he hates people. he's cunning and theoretical with a knack for thinking and always plotting things before doing them. he also has control issues stemming from his high standards that everyone should conform to his way of thinking.
jack raiden. this guy is my all-time favourite character. i know everything about him. he's stone cold. he has no emotions it seems because he always has the same emotionless expression on his face. and boy is he determined. he doesn't talk, he just thinks and analyzes. he trusts his gut and his ideas over anyone else's. he works alone most of the time unless he REALLY needs help. even in those cases the people piss him off. he always has a plan of action in his head that he'll go by, and nothing else. he needs competence and structure to function and he is a huge leader. he may not bark orders but he will guide people in the background and expects them to follow what he says and do it the right way, too.
oliver miles. also in the same story is the opposite end of the spectrum. this guy was abused into submission by a girl, physically and emotionally. and now he's out for blood. he's always had anger and control issues but being with that girl turned him into the controlled and it broke him mentally. he's a loner but if he's forced to work with others he'll fight to control them. he loves when he finds new prey because he'll play with them like prey and come up with plots and plans to catch them. he's in it for the game.
eli harding, the boyfriend to meg(isfj) who abuses her and takes her on a rollercoaster ride. he's a perfect embodiment of the intj when their significant other isn't able to stand up to them or understand them. he's rigid in how he wants his house and his girlfriend to behave and will flip out if it's not all in order. it's as if his feelings are all that matter and if anyone forgets to conform to his strict ways of order, planning, respect, high standards, and competence he will blow his top on them. other than that he's brooding and quiet and can be outwardly rude and obnoxious if he's not happy.
gavin clarke - my prototype history buff who's just a dark and introverted guy who hangs out in the back of the classroom and thinks he's above everyone else. he has a problem where he thinks he's the best damn thing, the smartest and most organized and the one with the great ideas who should lead everyone else because they're all dumb but when everyone hates him because he's like that he gets depressed and his self-esteem falls through the cracks. he won't change who he is because it's the only way but he'll be down on himself for being that way.

fun with personality types: infp
this one is the most awkward type to do because it's my personality type. when i figured out i had this many infp's in my ranks i was like well shit. i hate it when i have a character that even remotely resembles who i am because i am SO anti-mary sue it's not even funny god i just want to punk whoever writes with themselves in mind for the main character coughstephaniemeyercough anyways
infp
Quiet, reflective, and idealistic. Interested in serving humanity. Well-developed value system, which they strive to live in accordance with. Extremely loyal. Adaptable and laid-back unless a strongly-held value is threatened. Usually talented writers. Mentally quick, and able to see possibilities. Interested in understanding and helping people.
i know a couple infp's personally. more notably brittany and my brother zachary. so we can say 2 of the closest people in my life are infp's. zachary, himself, is a picture perfect infp. he's quiet, he's reflective, and he's idealistic in the sense that he's like me: he's got high principles and set values, as well as a need to do something meaningful in life. he's very interested in serving humanity. he's the most loyal person ever. zachary is also very adaptable and laid back. he's a writer too. he's extremely interested in helping people too.
atticus flynn is a character in a project i haven't flushed out that well yet. but he's a bby to me already. he's gay and as a result of his torment throughout his life he's turned into a huge humanitarian. he's always been quiet and introspective, never one to speak up, but he has a very strong and laid out value system when it comes to how people should be treated. he just wants to help others who may or may not have dealt with things like he has. he's super loyal to those who come into his life but he's not sure how to make friends because he's not good in social situations. he's also got big huge dreams that he's striving toward. and his adaptability is shown in the story, how he's willing to get up and go and pursue something he's been striving towards at the drop of a hat.
gracie - she appears in kress's tale and she doesn't have an official last name that she knows. as a child, she ran with the boys and was hated by the girls in her homeland. after a set of unfortunate circumstances she was sold into servantry and was assigned a family far away from her homeland. she's a very calm and laid back girl with a lot of thoughts running through her head. she's also got a quick wit though that she unleashes only when she needs to. she's got the air of a sweetheart and that's who she is in her heart even if she doesn't show it. she wants to help her friends. she cares about right and wrong, but gracie is more of the type to adapt rather than bitch, complain, or attack a problem head on if it's happening to her. she just wants to shape her life into how she wants to live it and her dreams revolve around that. she see's possibilities all around her but she doesn't believe it's her responsibility to take advantage of all of them. she's always been interested in just doing her own thing, surrounding herself with a small group of people she'll stay loyal to, and living her life her way.
jace sharp - this was the one i battled with for so long because one day i finally had to succumb to the fact that this character, the main one in this novel, had the same personality type as me. even so, she's completely different from me. jace embodies the dreamer aspect of this type. she's not as quiet as the typical infp and has the same deal as ashton when it comes to introversion. she knows what to say when she's in her element, with friends she's loud, and onstage she's a complete extrovert. she's an idealist in the sense that she has defined and serious goals she will fight to the death to achieve. her serious value system falls along the lines of never telling people they can't do something, always giving people chances, never hoarding  your money, and treating everyone fairly. she is adamant about those values too. she just wants to be liked by others. and she's extremely loyal to her friends. jace is adaptable and always moving. she's just ready to move onto the next part of her life. she itched to get out high school and she itched to get on tour and she itched to be onstage. she's not one to live in the moment because she's always interested in what the future holds. sometimes she'll find herself reflecting, but not as often as she should. jace is only laid back when she's not in her element. when she is, she turns into an energetic mess. she's a talented writer, too, the only one out of this group that is, unless we're talking prototypes. she's not exactly mentally quick though. as far as possibilities go, too, jace usually only see's the ones she likes or the ones she knows she DEFINITELY doesn't want. she's also uninterested in understanding people unless she's involved. helping people, on the other hand is one of her main goals. she wants to reach out to people through music and embrace charity work if she ever gets famous.
jasper wycliff - i've used him in an RP at one point and that helped me flush out his personality. he's always been quiet and has the greatest intentions of helping everyone around him no matter what it does to himself. he's constantly thinking and reflecting. he wants to make a difference in the world too. he's fiercely loyal and will put himself into danger for his friends. some may say he's courageous but he won't stand up for himself. only others. he's always been picked on and taken advantage of as a result of his selfless nature.
ashlynn navaro - prototype infp. she's a writer who wants to go out and see the world and write down about her travels and the things she's done. she's a loner type, not interested in being around others as long as she has a book. she's not social either, which helps her in her dream to leave and see the world. she's an observer so she doesn't like having attention. she just wants to watch the things around her and help mold life into something respectful.

man talking to sarah on thursday reminded me of this idea i began pursing 2 years ago that i called "the expendables" and then that dumb movie of the same title came out and i abandoned the idea completely even though it really wasn't the same as the movie at all.
my story was set in post-apocalyptic america 13 years after a virus ravaged through the population. people are still struggling to build lives for themselves even though the world has ended more or less. when the virus broke out it ate through the population in a startling amount of time which led some to believe that it was a terrorist attack using a stolen engineered "super virus" from scientists who had been playing with big guns they couldn't handle.
when it first broke out, the hospitals and schools were the first parts to be quarantined, due to the fast-striking nature of the viruses. a lot of the people condemned to have it were killed within days or even hours, making finding a cure impossible. it was also more susceptible to adults, rather than children, leaving behind striking numbers of babies within three years of the outbreak. vaults and safehouses were created in the old hospitals for those who survived it (codenamed population preservation units) and that's where most of the population lived for the next several years.
thirteen years later, towns are just beginning to rise up again, but with unforeseen problems. the population is mostly consisted of orphaned children from ages 10 all through age seventeen. these kids are hated among most of the remaining people because there are just too many of them and not enough people to care for all of them and raise them properly. a lot of them are used for dangerous jobs and errands because people don't quite care if they die. some people have even been rumoured to send them on long dangerous assignments with the hopes they won't come back at all. that's why i called it the expendables, because that's what the orphans were known as.
the story is set in a small town where the local school is dedicated to a group of orphaned children all taken care of by an elderly woman and her husband. the small town is the first of its kind and it's popped up on the east coast, the first area of the US to recover from the virus. the town is known as a haven so a lot of the time travelers will dump kids on them, found in parts of the explored territory, kids that were orphaned more recently, as the virus swept the nation in stages.
well, this couple is the mom and dad of the town so-to-speak. some of the kids, when they get old enough to see to themselves, move into the abandoned homes and start working for some of the adults. this is one of the first thriving towns since the virus struck. there's a kid who's sixteen, called xavier krouse. he was three when the virus hit, and he acts as a big brother of sorts to the kids. he's always aspired to be a scientist and learn how exactly the virus did what it did, but he knows his work has always been with the town and the kids. then there's ronnie rizzo who's actually seventeen, a bit older than the rest of the kids but too clingy to move on and get a job. grace parker's an animal lover who is always trying to protect the stray animals from being shot by townsfolk. she's fifteen. then there's kiera sykes, sixteen. there's juliette wickars, who's a bit scary, and lastly mikey dover, sixteen, who wants to become a doctor.
these kids are just the six oldest at the orphanage who all live inside the town's old elementary school and together they run it whenever the older couple aren't around.
so the story begins in this town when a stranger arrives and sets up shop in one of the local doctor's offices. everyone is extremely curious at first who the hell the old guy is who's moved in on their territory but the mom 'n pop of the town ensure them all to leave him alone. well of course, the kids don't and xavier ends up having to chase down three boys who decide he's a mad scientist and go to spy on him. xavier ends up meeting the man, a doctor who's come back to the town because it was the first sight of the initial breakout of the virus (thus why it was first to recover) and he's interested in finding out how it broke out. xavier is interested in what the man has to say, and eventually the man takes he and mikey on as assistants in his confidential project. eventually they learn that he worked in a university where he was studying some super huge science involving his theory on dimensions. well, in another part of the university, a group of scientists began a study involving the perfect virus. well, even though permission for the research had been denied, they took it upon themselves to experiment. the man's theory is that the virus was stolen and released by terrorists.
now, he's come back here to test a prototype of a drug that allows for subconscious travel. his theory is that since other dimensions exist in different folds of time and space, the subconscious can manifest itself inside those transparent folds and that perhaps, someone can go back in time through this method and find out exactly what happened and maybe even disrupt time and space and stop the drug from being released. the only problem is, he needs test subjects who aren't afraid of possibly dying or being trapped in another dimension. xavier volunteers but the scientist tells him no, that he won't allow him to do so. xavier finally tries to convince him to come forward with the idea and try to get volunteers, but the scientist has a different idea. instead he goes behind xavier's back and requests six of the oldest "expendables" to come work for him. finding out about the request, xavier is ticked off and volunteers along with the other five, who are all interested in the work.
together, the six of them test the drug and find themselves waking up in a different dimension of time, but in the same doctor's office. their only mission in the beginning is to document how they feel, what they can do, and so on and then return home. the problem is, none of the kids are able to return home. without contact and trapped in the old world, some of them set off to find their old families and meet their parents. eventually, the kids will have to decide if they want to find the virus and attempt to stop it on their own, try to get back to the present time like they're supposed to, or simply find their families and just exist in that reality, never going home at all.

fun with personality types: infj
i haven't done one of these in a while la la la
i just think it's really funny sometimes because i make these characters and they exist in my head, no planning needed i just know them. then i'm usually it's difficult to place them into a personality type but i do based off of i/e s/n t/f p/j and that's that but then i READ the personality type and i'm like whoa wow that's them to a T.
soooo infj
Quietly forceful, original, and sensitive. Tend to stick to things until they are done. Extremely intuitive about people, and concerned for their feelings. Well-developed value systems which they strictly adhere to. Well-respected for their perserverence in doing the right thing. Likely to be individualistic, rather than leading or following.
it's funny because 2 of the 4 guys i've ever had serious/real feelings for or a relationship with have been infj's and i had the biggest connections with them. ashton and james are similar but not identical. ashton's always been quiet but loud when he's in his element AKA on stage. he's extremely original and does things his own way. he's a black guy who wants to front a pop punk band everyone's always like "what?!" and he IS sensitive and he's got his feelings that he shows sometimes. he is one to stick with things, i mean he stuck with LC from when i quit and the band went its separate ways until we all came back 2 years later and he stuck with me too when i was off focusing on other things. he has STRONG values that weren't really discovered until recently but they've always been there somewhere, he just needed to find them. he's also very into doing the right thing and persevering when odds arent in his favour.
then there's james who is a doof. he is quietly forceful oh my god he's such a moron. and he is original too, he's a guy who isn't interested in sex until marriage and he is basically just a girl trapped in a guy's body but he's straight (we think). and good god is he sensitive wow. he's got strong intuition that never fails. he knows what's up before i do even. and obviously he has strong values too.
moving on
milo banderash is a detective in one of the first books i ever finished. he's a textbook infj with strong intuition that drives him and is usually right. he's forceful in his ideas but goes about them in the background rather than shouting about them. he's sensitive because he just wants to be liked and taken seriously. he's also got an original way of thinking that is put to the test. he's got his feeling side that drives him too because he puts his career on the line because of how he feels someone pleading with him to help them rather than what the evidence points to. he isn't a leader or a follower but likes to go his own way and stay inside his own head.
spencer hewitt's tale isn't very developed yet for the new project he's in but he appeared in a novel i wrote at the end of my senior year of high school. he's a lover, not a fighter. he's got no desire to control situations unless his intuition drives him into that. his feelings and emotions are strong and cause him to be sensitive, caring, and fiercely protective over those he loves. but he won't attack, he'll just defend. he seems to have a sixth sense too. he protects the girl he fell in love with who has severe mental problems even though she's likely to betray everyone at the drop of a hat. while he can see it, his feelings get in the way of doing something about it.
kress mchale - the protagonist of the project i'm working on in the background of things. he's a very important kid to the world and falls into duties he doesn't quite understand the severity of. he is sensitive to just about everything said about him. he's always listening to people talking about him. he goes by his gut feeling and kind of takes leaps of faith often. he cares about people too because he takes those leaps in the name of helping someone or making them happy. he is greatly interested in doing the right thing and will break rules and undermine the people who want to do the wrong things. he's also fiercely independent because while he has friends and people to boss him around, he's working usually based off of what's happening in his own head.
chase daniels - the prototype bro for the short stories i'm also doing. he's a kid in high school who wants to do the right thing and be who he is, a unique, different dude, but he's obsessed with image that he needs to keep up with. in reality, he's quiet and introspective, an artist with a big brain and lots of insight but on the outside he's got to be an obnoxious, brainless party kid in order to fit the stereotype he's been assigned. he loves obscure things and he hates drinking and drugs and just wants to have real meaning and do what makes him happy but he needs to figure out how.

i feel like talking about jordan......
basics: her name is jordan aryana valenti and she's sixteen years old. her mother was french canadian and her father was a mutt but dominantly italian which is where she got her name from. her mother picked out jordan and her father wanted her named after his mother, thus aryana, and obviously valenti is her birth last name and the one her grandparents stuck with. in the story she's in, the one heavily involving super-powered humans, her ability is to cast illusions and she uses it to give herself different haircolours primarily before she's swept away in the adventure. her natural hair colour is this deep brown that has a golden sheen to it, she is about five feet tall, with big blue eyes, and really fair skin.
background: jordan's story is lightly based off of the main character in the book "house of the spirits" but only one aspect of it. jordan had a normal upbringing through her childhood with her parents together, living in raleigh, north carolina. she was a soft-spoken little girl who mostly stayed in her own little world of imagination, never really getting the hang of making friends. due to that, she had her own way of doing things free from outside influence - because really, she never cared. while jordan has always been introverted, problems never arose until her parents were both killed. she had been driving with them when their car was hit by a semitruck and flipped off of the road on the ice. it happened just after christmas. jordan survived with minimal injuries thanks to her child seat and a set of lucky circumstances. her father died on the spot and her mother had been able to sing jordan to sleep while they awaited rescue crews. she died at the hospital. following the incident, jordan became a selective mute. she was turning seven when it happened. her grandparents took her in, her mother's parents, and she was moved to their vacation home in the blue ridge mountains where her seclusion could only get worse. she never spoke but communicated through the use of a small notebook or a dry erase board. in school she was put into remedial classes for special attention, worsening her social skills. to this day her grandmother suspects that it was this special treatment that led to her stunted maturity levels, but her grandfather insists that jordan is simply an innocent mind and a late bloomer. from age 8 all the way through middle school, jordan stayed to herself and drew pictures, spent a lot of time outside watching the world, exploring on her own, and loved to be in her room watching TV. as she aged, she found a love in music when she began listening to records she found in with her parents' old things in the attic during one of her mini-adventures. soon after, her grandmother signed her up for piano lessons and soon enough, jordan began to talk again, but only after her piano teacher caught her singing along to a song before a lesson one day. her teacher helped her with her voice and from there, her passion began. mere months before this happened, the cabin next door, which belonged to a retired couple, became home to the couple's daughter who decided to go to school in the college town, appalachian state. the girl started a repair shop out of the garage that ended up assisting jordan's grandfather in fixing up and purchasing a computer for the family. this was the first time reese met jordan and immediately, the girl looked up to reese. as she moved on into high school, jordan's grandparents became good friends with reese as she always helped with their technology needs. jordan attached herself to reese in a way and would soon start talking more and more, opening up and for the first time expressing interest in being around someone. she saw reese as an older sister and found her to be her one and only friend in the world. despite reese's original disdain and annoyance, she secretly cared for jordan, especially after jordan's grandmother talked to her about the girl's past and asked her to please look out for jordan, seeing as they would not be around forever and jordan wasn't exactly built for surviving on her own. while at first reese hated the idea of knowing jordan forever, she promised the old woman that she would always look after jordan and began to see her as family.
Likes: jordan has a deep well of love for a lot of things. she mostly enjoys girly and childlike things. she loves cartoons, art, drawing, colouring, board games, and reading books. she loves nature and animals passionately. introspecting, spending time alone, laying under trees, and looking out over the mountains are her favourite things. she loves jazz music, piano, saxophone, and big band music. she loves older genres, especially from the twenties, thirties, forties, and fifties. singing is her pastime and she's talented at it as well. this was mainly developed from her dad and obviously living with her grandparents. she does possess an eye for fashion and really enjoys creating styles for herself. simple things fascinate her. she loves cute things, disney movies, stuffed animals. taking walks, drinking tea, fireplaces, vanilla wafers, and ice cream are just a few of the greatest things to jordan. she also really loves performing at open mic nights. she has a strong love for older music, tv, books, style, and decor because of being raised by her grandparents. so while she loves kid-like things, she's also become somewhat of an old soul.
Dislikes: conflict, stress, forced social situations. she also hates not having anyone to take care of her. while jordan loves being alone, she needs to feel like someone is watching out for her. she doesn't hate many things because everything is beautiful to her. but she really doesn't like hate, control freaks, war, death, unfortunate events, etc because she barely understands them. she hates betrayal too - jordan's the type to blindly trust because she see's the good in everyone. responsibility and growing up aren't in the cards for her either, she disdains the idea of having to move on and get a job and be on her own. she doesn't get greed at all. one thing she hates is money. but she doesn't really like loud noises, the dark, bugs, or the crowded rooms. driving at night or too fast bothers her as well, understandably and she will never get behind the wheel herself. these are just some of her fears. if people are fighting around her she shuts down as well.
Strengths: in a sense, jordan finds strength in her childlike innocence and her ability to trust people. she is an optimist because she doesn't really understand looking for the worst in every situation. jordan is forgiving and understands right from wrong. her strengths lie in the fact that she is not one to fight for the sake of fighting. she doesn't hate and doesn’t believe there’s time for it. her innocence results in optimism and allows her to remain clear-headed. she's also intelligent despite not exactly showing that on the outside. she was also raised with a strong set of values.
Weaknesses: PTSD, select mutism, and social anxiety can hinder her sometimes, especially when she's misunderstood and labeled as being a nutcase by ignorant people. she doesn't talk a lot and has this problem when she looks really sad when she's in a deep well of thought and people who know of some of her issues might pin that on the issues. people tend to treat her like she's made of glass because she's really young and somewhat damaged from losing her parents but she's actually moved on from it very well ever since she began singing and see's the world so much differently than they may think. going from that, every strength has a negative side as well. her forgiving nature and inability to fight with people results in little backbone and this causes people to walk all over her. her optimism also makes for a harsher blow when things don’t turn out right. she’s also incredibly shy and quiet and that results in people missing her existence completely.
Personality: well, her personality has been laid out up there quite a bit, but in a nutshell, jordan is clearly an introvert with a need to introspect, have quiet time, and think about things. she gets so uncomfortable in crowds and around strangers unless there's a trusted figure right with her. she barely talks as well and is not very social at all. she doesn't care to get to know anyone other than those who come to her and even then, she'll push you away unless she see's something in you that she likes. it's why reese is her only friend. truly, she's hard to get to know because of her inability to share and speak up. she never talks about herself. while her inner world is really loud and vivid, she projects a calm and sheepish child on the outside. she's also very submissive and goes with the flow if someone else is leading her. she needs to be led and taken care of. if she's not brought under someone's wing then jordan will veer off course. this may be owed to the fact that everyone babied her when she stopped talking, but she's grown accustomed to it and she can't break away from having someone telling her what to do next. at the same time though she needs her freedom and loves to be alone. she loves when it's quiet or theres music playing. she likes to have her time to be isolated with nature. jordan is also incredibly gentle and sweet. she has the biggest heart and while she's a little flower most of the time she probably won't open up and tell someone she loves them, but she will definitely show it by sacrificing her own needs for others. she will stand up for her friends and family even if its quiet and in the background. jordan never boasts of anything she does and doesn't brag. she won't put herself down either on the other hand. taking from jordan's inner thoughts, she has a clear and concise hold on everything that happens around her and is very perceptive. she has an opinion formulated on just about anyone she'll meet because she's fantastic at studying her surroundings and reading people. she will never share these findings though. she's extremely interested in nature, animals, beauty, fashion, etc. jordan just loves LOOKING at the world around her and taking it all in. she's so into aesthetics. she loves cute things. animals are just the greatest things to her. jordan seems to have the inability to grow up as well and is lost in a world of innocence. she barely understands the big mean world outside her backyard and yet she's willing to accept that it's not fair. she doesn't get it, but she knows it's wrong and will rebel against it. she's okay with going against the rules for the greater good and just wants to help people she cares about. sure she's got a child's mindset, but that's the purest and most honest one to have so the people around her accept it and love jordan for who she is because she's the most genuine one they'll meet.

something i've noticed: taking college-level literature classes in high did only one thing for me: made me hate the words "is" and "was". whenever i use them in an essay or in my writing i have to go back and count the number of times, the proximity between their appearances, and decide if i can reword the sentence to eliminate them. if they appear more than three times in a paragraph i don't know what to do with myself, especially if i can't eliminate them.

man i was at 18,000 words three days ago and i just passed 30,000 and this isn't counting the scenes i've hashed out already. i've written this backwards almost, how strange my worry is that it's going to be too long for once.

“Courage, Cowards”
Distractions by the number,
Just know how to take them.
Stop closing your eyes on what matters…
Find the pieces
Pick them up when it shatters.
I won’t condemn you for what consoles you
Just don’t close your eyes the way you think I do
What gives you hope, gives you hope
So put the rest to bed
Kiss goodnight the jaded
Patch up the frayed ends
Here’s to the broken, and here’s to the end
Because
I’m not sorry for burning this toxic trend
Wave away the wounded
They’ll only keep you down
Life’s not meant to be easy
Nor is it to be dead weight
I won’t condemn you for what consoles you
Just don’t close your eyes the way you think I do
What gives you hope, gives you hope
So put the rest to bed
Kiss goodnight the jaded
Patch up the frayed ends
Here’s to the broken, and here’s to the end
Because
I’m not sorry for burning this toxic trend
Say no but not because you fear to
Say yes, the truth won’t always clear you
An intended practice of a race so young
Concocted to understand why they were then
By all means take it in stride, listen to their voices
But never agree for the sake, never give in
Not to the fear that wears you down
Never forget to breathe, don’t forget to live
