hongjoong is ateez’s peter pan duh (plus the song is cute as hell and makes me wanna fly across the sky with him)

for ‘missing you’: hongjoong is such a sweetheart, he’s socially aware and i feel like the lyrics are the kind of message he would like to spread

‘missing you’ is the kind of song you listen to when you need a pick-me-up. the lyrics are both light and heavy at the same time, and personally, the song helps me feel less alone

hongjoong (and the rest of the boys) make it important to let atinys know that they’ll always be with us in spirit and in their hearts, which give me both songs’ vibes

(also this is kinda funny but apparently hongjoong had a weird reaction to a fan when they said they saw all time low in concert lol)

an intense and romantic song, just like mr park seonghwa

‘lost in stereo’ is kinda the antithesis to that

the sexual side of seonghwa basically

the song is about a girl that a guy wants to take home, but she’s basically ignoring because she’s too busy jamming lol (seonghwa is the girl, a massive tease)

the song gives me mega carnival/fair/amusement park vibes and that would be such a cute date with boyfriend yunho AAAAAA

‘if these sheets were states’ is such a beautiful song and honestly has some of the best lyrics from all time low imo

‘last young renegade’ gives me heavy yeosang vibes and i can’t even really explain why

kind of a sad song but happy sounding, y’know?

makes me think of yeosang’s demeanor for some reason

as for ‘paint you wings’ i mostly just think of yeosang’s savageness lol

the song itself is kind of like a “fuck you” but also a “i hope things work out for you even though you fucked me over”

i feel like that’s such a yeosang thing to do, like he’s a sweetheart but also a passive-aggressive savage who doesn’t have it in him to actually say “fuck you and i hope things are shitty for you”

San: Backseat Serenade/Dear Maria, Count Me In

‘backseat serenade’ is literally about having sex in the backseat of a car soooo

idk if i haven’t made it clear yet san gives me mega sexual frustration (can you blame me though afkjdas;ghdsa)

the sex is implied, but it’s masked behind lyrics that you really have to look at before you realize “oh wait this song is about sex” (makes me think of san for some reason)

as for ‘dear maria, count me in,” it’s basically all time low’s most famous song and i feel like san is probably one of the most popular members (don’t quote me on that please; also it’s not the only reason why i think this song fits him)

is it bad that i think of san as maria lol

personally, mingi is literally therapy for me. seeing him always makes me smile

‘therapy’ was the first all time low song i listened to, so it has a special place in my heart, much like mingi was the first person who caught my eye when i got into ateez, so he has a special place in my heart :’(

it’s such a comforting song to listen to, much like ‘missing you’

in contrast, ‘the beach’ is such a fun song and mingi is such a fun guy

his laugh makes me think of the song because it’s just so fun

it’s a lighthearted, catchy song that’s easy to listen to, the perfect song for, well, a beach day lol

Wooyoung: Kids in the Dark/Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don’t)

when i think of wooyoung i think of youth. i was conflicted between ‘kids in the dark’ and ‘the reckless and the brave’ but i went with kids in the dark because i think it’s a lot lighter to listen to

yunho, san, mingi, and wooyoung are the members of ateez i think of when i listen to songs like ‘kids in the dark,’ ‘the reckless and the brave,’ and ‘for baltimore’

as for DIIDY, i think that it’s the vocals that remind me of wooyoung, especially during the chorus

it’s a fun song to listen to if you ignore the lyrics lol

the hardest-hitting songs for me (dirty laundry lyric-wise, love like war sound-wise)

i have quite personal experiences that could be associated with the lyrics of dirty laundry so it really hits home

plus it starts off pretty soft, and then at the last chorus it goes more pop punk-sounding, hitting hard

a love like war is just so powerful in every way
