That's my point exactly, you cant "love" who dont know. But I appreciate the education that you have answered me, no insult intended, just that was my point
Why can't I, though? I don't know him personally, but so what? What are the "rules" or limitations for who you can fall in love with and who you can say you love? You don't need for someone to love you back to be in love. I also don't think you have to know everything about another person before you can say you love them, because who does? I know enough about him to like him, I like him enough, and feel all the feelings towards him that you do for the person you love. I don't have to hang out with him in real life on regular basis before I can say I feel those feelings. It's not something you choose, it something that happens. Maybe you don't think it's possible, and I know that many people say that, but I see it differently. You can also argue that I can't say I know him because I don't know him personally. I disagree with that too. But I won't get into that because I've already explained it a long time ago. I don't mean to be aggressive, I just think our view is just different that's all.

Dont get me wrong. but I think your fanaticism for Yamada crossing obsession and unhealthy obsession. I hope that life for something better because I look like a smart person.
Okeydokey. Well, don't get me wrong either, but you don't know me personally. I know how I can look to a person who doesn't know me other than through this blog. But this is a Yamada fan blog, so obviously it's all Yamada. It's not like I don't have a life outside this blog. I love him more than my own life but I can assure you my health is just fine.

Life update
Hi I'm back!! Kind of. The thing is, I will be really busy from now on too, especially the next 2-3 weeks. But I'm so sad I've missed so much and haven't had time to gif Kindaichi etc that I'll try to do what I can, but please bear with me. However, I'm excited that I can finally tell you all the reason for all this: I received a MEXT scholarship and I'll be studying a year in Daito Bunka Daigaku in Tokyo starting next month!!
Tumblr media
The thing is that I got the final confirmation really late, and the departure is like a month earlier than I expected, so I have so much to do before leaving that I'm almost going crazy here! However, I'm just so happy that my dream has finally come true that I don't even mind so much! I'm so excited about living in Japan and not to mention, I'll be seeing Yamada soon!! I don't know yet how busy I'll be during my year or how much I can do here, but I'll still definitely be here so don't worry :) Just don't mind if I'll be away/slow at times. I'll continue posting asap!!

Grasshopper Book Review
Tumblr media
I just finished reading Grasshopper last night, and I'm dying to ramble about it so I decided to collect some thoughts of the book itself, and also with the upcoming movie in mind! If you don't want to know anything, this will include spoilers (not the ending though), but if you're curious to know more about the story, Semi, and what to expect from the movie, this is for you!
The book tells a story of Suzuki, a former middle school teacher, and two assassins, Kujira and Semi, who all cross paths trying to catch a mysterious killer called "Oshiya (Pusher)". Suzuki seeks revenge for his wife's death, who was killed by Terahada, the oldest son of a shady company called Reijou. Suzuki joins the company to get closer to him, but just before they're about to finally meet, Suzuki and his co-worker Hiyoko witness Terahada to get pushed on the road and hit by a car. It seems to be the work of an assassin called "Oshiya", who pushes people under cars and then disappears without a trace. Suzuki runs after the man to follow him home, but finds out he has a family, making Suzuki not wanting to inform the company about his whereabouts until he can confirm the man really is Oshiya. Meanwhile, an assassin called Kujira is hired by a politican called Kaji, to kill his secretary. Kujira specialized in "suicide murders", forcing his victims to commit suicide by threats. Kujira is haunted by visions of his victims, and as the hallucinations get worse, he starts losing touch in reality. When Kujira hears about the mysterious Oshiya, he decides to hunt him down. However at the same time, out of distrust Kaji hires another assassin, Semi, to kill Kujira. Semi is a young boy who's a talented knife killer, working for a man called Iwanishi, who does the background work as Semi commits the murder. However, Semi feels restricted under Iwanishi's orders, and wants to break free. After Semi fails to commit the assignment, he decides to take matters in his own hands and track down the mysterious Oshiya to kill him by himself.
The story is told from three point-of-views: Suzuki, then Kujira, then Semi, as the chapters go on alternating from each point-of-view. Each character story starts from a different setting, and little by little they start tying together and crossing each other, until the characters finally come across each other in the latter half of the book.
Personally, I really loved it! The genre and the plot are really the type that I like and the whole setting was really interesting for me from the start, since I love dark movies like horror and thrillers. I liked how it started from a moment of action for each character, and would expose their back story little by little as the story goes on. Although I wish it would've got even more into the back stories, especially of Kujira and Semi, I'd like to know about their past and how they ended up becoming assassins. Suzuki as a character is quite boring to be honest. You know, the basic main character who's the good guy and always does the right thing, and that's pretty much all there is to their personality. Sure, I liked Suzuki, but his story was the least interesting to me although the setting of the revenge-seeking was good, but it shifted completely from that to him trying to get to know Asagao's (suspected Oshiya) family, which dragged a little too long although the family itself was more interesting than Suzuki himself and I really wanted to know about it. Kujira, however, I liked way more than I thought I would! How he talks his victims to suicide, having some weird, creepy "charm" in him, and how he gets haunted by his past victims and faces hallucinations that make him struggle differentiating what is real and what is not, even on moments when he would need all his focus. It gives a lot of depth to the character, and even though he's really cold and dark, there's still a side of him that's human. However, towards the end his character arc became a little repetitive and I kind of just wanted to get it over with. Or maybe I'm just bitter because... well I won't tell you.  Semi, however... oh god, Semi. I totally fell for his character way more than I thought I would. I mean, he sounded promising and not even gonna lie, I'm sure the fact that I imagined him with Yamada's face made him tons better in my mind, but I just got SO attached to him. I mean the guy is an annoying brat who kills people for a living with knives, but as a character he was so interesting, just the kind of villain that I love! Already his first appearance is awesome, and I can't wait to see how it translates into the movie. Basically, he stands in a room with two bodies, a woman yelling and crying all "What is this?!" and Semi is like "Well, that's your dead husband on the couch and your son's body on the floor, d'uh!" All the bratty remarks, creepy laughing and the badass carefree attitude - LOVE IT. My only problem is that I wanted more and more, it didn't really tell how he even got to the profession or what his past was like, I really wanted to know that. It didn't touch much the matter of how he feels about killing, he seemed quite indifferent about it mostly. Yamada said though, that he's been thinking a lot about how to portray the sadness that he has inside him, so I'm sure he'll bring even more depth to Semi. However, he's not completely cold and emotionless. What brings him complexity is his desire to become free, as he feels like he's just a puppet of Iwanishi's, but wants to prove - mostly to himself - that he's an individual who's not confined to anything. Although, even that could've gone more deeper. Could this book be longer, please??  They said the ending of the movie will be different from the book, and I'm really intrigued to find out how much. Mostly, I liked the ending and how everything with the story worked out, as well as the twists and turns, I hope they keep those. I don't want to spoil too much about it, especially because I don't know how much they'll change so I won't say much. But I feel like it was missing something, the final conclusion felt kind of rushed, and maybe not enough of a conclusion. And after that, it kind of kept going just a little more with one part of the storyline only to leave it kind of unfinished in a way that I feel like didn't even have a point. So I hope that will be different. But I wouldn't mind if they made some drastic changes too about where the characters end up, although I think it was good and if they keep focus on certain parts it might turn out even better, but there's just a few details that I wouldn't mind changing. Can't spoil. So I'll leave this annoyingly vague. I'll tell you when the movie's out ;D I'm really excited about Semi's action scenes! I just hope they won't be too gory or anything, because if they do this right they can look super awesome, but if they do it wrong they'll just be annoying to look at. On a more random, fangirly note, there's a scene where Semi steals a car so we should get to see him drive!! Which I just really want to see. Also, at the end of an assignment Semi changes his clothes to get rid of the bloody evidence. So you know, it's a really important PLOT POINT. Just for the sake of the plot, please include this scene where he changes! To make the point even clearer, how about some good shirtless action the very least? For the sake of the plot, you know, the plot! Based on the book, I have incredibly high hopes for this movie, and I really wish they treat it right and do it with quality. I'd even go as far as say I think this can be Yamada's big break as an actor, if they just give him and this movie the recognition they deserve. The character is amazing, complex and needs talent to portray - the talent that I know he has but hasn't had the chance to show us yet in its full potential. I could totally imagine him in this role and I know he will be incredible, even more than I'm imagining right now. I honestly have no idea how I'm going to first survive the loooong and painful year of waiting, and then survive this movie through. This is going to be something amazing, just wait.

I'll be posting Kindaichi starting later today, so if you don't want to see anything yet, please blacklist "#kspoilers". I'll be using this tag the following weeks as well for what I will post 1-2 days after the episode.

Random questions again! 1. Favorite western actor and actress? 2. Long or short nails? 3. The thing you love the most about yamada? ( only one thing, dont say everything about him :D) 4. Countries youve visited before? 5. Favorite color? 6. İnternet friends? 7. Favorite flower? 8. Lucky number? 9. Jeans or skirt? 10. Do you like make-up? Thanks for answers, i love your blog :)
2. Long or short nails?- For myself I don't like to keep super short nails, but if they get too long it doesn't look nice either. I usually have like 0,3cm nails, but mine grow really fast so sometimes they get even longer without noticing lol. I only cut them shorter if one breaks.
3. The thing you love the most about Yamada?- You're sneaky, I would've said everything!! ;D But if I have to say only one thing, it's his eyes. Those are what I first fell in love with. He's got so much life in his eyes and that eyesmile is to-die-for. From his eyes you can see what a kind, warm and beautiful person he is. ~Eyes are a window to the soul, and in his case I feel that's literally true.
4. Countries you've visited before?- Not including those I visited when I was too young to remember (Russia and Greece), I've been to France, Japan, Sweden and Estonia. I want to visit more countries!
5. Favorite color?- Red! But I also love blue and purple.
6. Internet friends?- Those that I also currently often talk to and are on tumblr, there's cookiekakumei and belovedreams. I have many who I've unfortunately lost contact with, and also those that I don't see much around lately and who I miss (I'm esp looking at you satorimasu, narushi, dadywatarget). There's also those I have on twitter and I may not talk to that much because of different fandoms but still hold dear, like trianglemix. I'm sorry for those who should be here but aren't, we need to talk more!! ;___;
7. Favorite flower?- I wouldn't say I have special favorites, but I've always really liked sunflowers.
8. Lucky number?- I never really had one :(
9. Jeans or skirt?- Both! I guess I wear more jeans than skirts, but rather than skirts I wear dresses. And even more than jeans I like jean shorts! It really depends what kind of style I feel like having on a certain day :D
10. Do you like make-up?- Yes definitely! I don't usually wear that much though because I'm lazy. Especially when it comes to eyeliner, I love it but I'm too lazy to apply it most of the time. I like doing my make-up and sometimes playing with it, but most of the time I keep it simple/natural-looking with good foundation+mascara+blush+eyebrows. And red lipstick, I love red lipstick! Thank you for the interest ♥
