Read through Romans
I’ve been reading through the book of Romans lately and I’m always taken aback by the power that God put in those writings. Paul went IN on humanity’s total depravity, justification by faith, and the Christian’s struggles caused by the sinful desires of the flesh. The book of Romans humbles me because it always reminds me that we have NO power to save ourselves. Our faith is a product of God’s grace, exemplified through the atoning works of Jesus Christ. If Jesus didn’t die for us, then we Christians would have no security in salvation. If you’re struggling with trying to be good enough for God, stop and repent, and realize that God doesn’t need your deeds to justify you: He justifies you through the blood of His Son. Turn to Christ and away from sin! Jesus is the only Way to the Father! Salvation is a gift from God, not a reward that you can earn through being good. Believe that what Christ did is enough, be freed from the law of works, and do the good that God calls us to do: live in obedience to Him!

Carnal
Fellow Christians, beware the gospel of the world that preaches a self-serving, self-loving, self-worshipping message without conviction of sin. Beware those that deny truth and exchange it for a lie. Beware those that claim to be in Christ but whose lives prove that they still love their carnal desires more than the Lord Himself. Paul said that he would not dare preach a message that Christ Himself did not preach, yet this is exactly what we’re seeing in the postmodern church today. There are a plethora of false teachers that are starving the sheep and entertaining the goats with business methods, economic success stories, and emotional highs, rather than feeding the sheep with the Word of God, for it is the manna of heaven which we are provided with to grow in holiness in alignment with God’s perfect law. We must be careful, and continue to wear the full armor of God that the Lord Himself gives us, and bear our ultimate weapon, the Sword of the Spirit, which is His holy Word. Never grow weary in serving the Lord. Continue to walk on the narrow path that leads to life, and do not be led astray or enticed by the broad gate that leads to destruction. Those that are not in Christ cannot enter the kingdom of God. Do not believe the lies of the world that may say that you don’t need God or that you can wait until you turn to God. TODAY is the day of salvation. Turn from all evil! Never stop repenting! Always put your selfish, self-gratifying desires to death! Remember the promises of God for His children that continue to live for Him. It gets harder and harder every day, but the afflictions of this world are not worth comparing to the glory that we will have in heaven with our Lord! “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in His way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with His hand.” Psalm 37:23-24 KJV

Roses
As we all know, today is a day in which love is celebrated for how wonderful it is and makes us feel. I bought these two dozen flowers and handed them out to individual people so that I could explain to them the greatest act of love of all time: God sent His only Son to die on a cross for our sins so that we didn’t have to. In spite of all of the acts of evil we commit against Him, God still gives us blessings every day through the food we eat, the clothes on our back, the roof over our head, and a bunch of other immeasurable things. God does this because He wants us to repent, turn from our sin, and put our faith, hope and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. God wants us to obey this commandment and all of His other ones so that we can grow in love and holiness with Him. This was His plan since before time began. That is inexplicable love, and the most fantastic love of all, from a perfect God. “We love Him, because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19 KJV

If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceable with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of god, for it is written, "Vengence is mine, I will repay, says the lord." To the contrary, "if your neenmy is hungry, feed him, if he is thirsrty, give him something to dirnk; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head." Do not be overcome by evil, just overcome evil with good. Romans 12:18-21
I’ve been thinking a lot about this concept of loving my enemies lately. Although I can’t immediately think of a person that I would consider a real enemy rather than just someone who ticks me off (which is a part of my sin nature), I’m still called to obey this command as a Christian. All of God’s people are. I always wondered why this was such an emphasized command, and what the meaning behind it was, but as I read through the book of Romans, everything clicked. We are called to love our enemies because God loved us while we acted as enemies against Him. Romans 8:7 tells us that those that are in the flesh cannot please God because they are hostile against Him, and James 4:4 goes so far as to say that those who are part of the world are enemies of God. Yet, while we were sinners, God nurtured us through every second of every day, gifting us with life, food, clothing, shelter, water for drinking and cleaning with, toiletries to clean ourselves with, but most important of all, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, who died for us. We are called to love our enemies because we were once God’s enemies, yet He still loved us, and because our goodness is meant to be a witness to God’s goodness towards us that leads people to repentance (Romans 2:4). This is one of the hardest commands that the Bible gives us, because we are naturally self-centered and self righteous, but when we look at our sin on the cross that it was punished on, we have no choice but to be humbled and thank God that we weren’t the ones that had to pay the price for our transgressions. Whenever you think about that person that you just can’t forgive, or the friend that betrayed your trust, remember that God still loved you even though you betrayed Him. Repent of your unwillingness to forgive and pray for the grace of God to be poured out onto you so that you can obey His Word and do the works that He has called you to do, Christians.

Who is holier than thou?
I have to share this with everyone that may think that I now have a “holier than thou” attitude: I don’t. That’s it. I have never thought of myself as better than anyone. I will never think of myself in such a way. That’s not why I make these posts, and it’s certainly not why I follow Jesus Christ. I follow God because He has had mercy on me in spite of being the scum that I’ve been my entire life. I apologize if that’s how I’ve come off to anyone that’s reading this. I truly don’t believe that I’m better than anyone. I preach the message of the cross because I want people to know that if God can save a sinner like myself, He can definitely save anyone else. It’s such a difficult journey to be a Christian. I’m not proud of this, but I fail every single day as a follower of Christ. I stumble, I sin, I fall short, everything; I don’t deserve to be in heaven for a fact. It’s only the mercy of God that keeps me on the narrow path. If He didn’t bring me back to the path of righteousness every time I sinned, I would be dead. There’s no room for me to boast on the cross because it’s already occupied by the eternally good works of the Father and the Son. God detests the proud but gives grace to the humble. That’s why I cannot and will not ever put myself on a pedestal. If you haven’t already, I beg you to consider the eternity that’s at stake, just as I’ve had to over the years, and determine whether you’re following the God of the living Bible, or the god of this world. If it’s the latter, repent and believe in the gospel, that Jesus came to save sinners by calling them to repentance and faith in His mighty works, not their own. I can’t brag because God humbled me through the death of His Son, but I can boast about the salvation found in Christ alone, because He deserves all the glory.

Chatbox Rejection Msg
"Why did Chirst have to suffer and die? Because God truly is just. When you see him on the cross, you see just how seriously god has takes sin. He can't just wink at it. He's not just going to forgive it. It must be punished and Christ bears that punishment in our place"
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53:3-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

New Beginnings
It has occurred to me that it is REALLY hard to overcome sin by my own efforts. Attacking my own evils from a singular perspective is practically impossible, especially since I’m inclined to give in to it as a result of being in a physical body with such a corrupted nature, then try and justify it. Things such as gossip, slander, unjust anger, and a plethora of other issues plague my heart still. Am I working on mortifying such things? Of course, but not by my own efforts. By God’s grace alone, He has given me life in abundance, and with it He gives me strength to endure many trials. Not only that, but He has provided me with godly men that are more than willing to help me look for Christ in my times of struggle. There are obstacles that I am still faced with, but God has promised to bring me over them. He requires my faith alone, not my ability, because I have no ability of my own to do such a thing. Without faith in Christ, I cannot stand before God, but with it, I can go before Him in confidence because the righteousness of His Son clothes me like a white robe. If you are a Christian and struggling with a certain sin, don’t be afraid to confess your sins to God and ask godly mentors for help in how to overcome it, for when we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive them. If you aren’t a Christian and are in need of hope, look at the cross, where Jesus laid down His life so that you may have life and peace with the Father. Without the Son’s sacrifice, we cannot have peace with Him. However, while we were yet enemies of God, Christ was sent to die for us. God wants you to have peace with Him so that you may enjoy being with Him in heaven forever, for it is written, “...God calls all people everywhere to repent.” He can give you forgiveness, peace, joy, eternal life, and a variety of other things that cure the soul. Do not wait for a sign to turn to God; if you’ve been thinking about it, you’re being called! Today is the day of salvation! Genuinely and fervently call out to God for forgiveness, and the Son WILL NOT cast you out.

And he said unto the lord I trust him
Now he said to them, "these are my words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about me in the law of moses and the prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled." Then he opened thier minds to understand the Scriptures, and he said to them, "thus it is written that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third da, and the repetance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in his name to all the naions, beginning from Jurusalem. Luke 24:44-47
Today[April 12, 2020] we celebrate the most triumphant victory in history: the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The prophecies that many men died for were completed in Christ, and even today we see men and women putting their lives on the line to proclaim the most wonderful truth known to man: that Christ lived perfectly, died horrifically, and raised from death victoriously so that all those that were given to Him even before time began may have everlasting life, and will be raised up on the last day. There is no other historical figure who has had so much power and so much influence before AND after His time on earth. There is power in the name of Jesus Christ. Know all that He has done for His people, and call upon His Name for salvation from sin, death and hell. He will never turn away anyone who truly and honestly calls upon Him, because His love knows no bounds. The cross is the greatest example of that love.

For Ahmaud
Today would have been Ahmaud Arbery’s 26th birthday. A mother won’t be able to celebrate her motherhood this Sunday with her precious baby. A family will have one less light to share with the world. A community will have one less voice. These tragedies MUST come to an end. We must decriminalize black existence, but we can’t do it with violence and vengeance. We must be forgiving. We must show our power to use our voice for the sake of good without giving in to our hatred. If we only ever fought with our fists and never with our minds, the enemy would win. We would only be what they portray us to be already, and continue to use that to justify our lynchings. I’m not excusing our poor treatment under any circumstance, nor am I advocating for its continuation. Instead, I’m simply saying that we can end this treatment, this suffering, this pain, this senseless loss, by making ourselves known to the world as beautiful human beings with even more beautiful hearts. Please, for the sake of our forefathers, brothers, sisters, and children who have lost their lives because of the criminalization of black existence, don’t give birth to more hatred. Let us work together and support one another, while fighting for our right to live.

Incident Report Sacramento June 2, 2020
I have been in such an awkward place this past week. As a black male, I have been angry, terrified, and almost brought to tears at the hatred that I have felt towards myself and my family, especially my younger brother, who heard death threats when he was at a protest with our mother. Knowing that an 8-year-old child has been associated with the protesting of racism in our country to the point where he has received the same hatred as the adults surrounding him flipped a switch in me that took me to an uncomfortably dark place. I wanted to make some really awful decisions, to say the least. However, more importantly, as a Christian, I have been in an even worse state, where I felt my relationship with God was suffering immensely due to my struggles with an unbearable addiction. I felt so far away from God that I felt nothing could bring me back to Him. Seeing the brutality in our police force and the evil that has ensued in both our public servants who swore to serve and protect, and our citizens who have taken advantage of an important protest in order to cause chaos and use an innocent man’s death for their personal gain, I have been feeling so confused and angry. Yet, God has used these things to show me that a change must be made internally before a change can be made externally. I speak an unpopular message, but nonetheless it is the most important message that anyone can hear: we can never have true peace amongst ourselves unless we have peace with God. We can never have peace with God unless we have been washed with the blood of the Son of God. When you want to create a beautiful building, you must first destroy the old building and lay a new foundation. Likewise, if we want to see a true change in people, we must repent, turn away from sin and to Christ for forgiveness and salvation, and die to ourselves, our own evil desires, and our selfishness. Then, and ONLY then, can we truly change our world filled with evil. No politician, no economic system, no military, no police force, no riot, no act of violence, and no country can save us. Only Christ can truly save us, because He replaces the old, dead heart, with the new, living heart and new spirit.

The Lord's will who upon himself has returned.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.” Proverbs 3:5-7 We have a tendency to follow the path that we think is right for us simply because of how it makes us feel. We’ll seek the path that makes us happy, but not necessarily the path that leads to our growth. We want to take the easy route, where we aren’t confronted with difficulties, instead of the route that forces us to humble ourselves and make us consider our weaknesses. I can say this from experience: doing what I think is right hasn’t gotten me anywhere; it’s actually done more harm than good. That’s because my wisdom is limited to my knowledge, which there isn’t much of. However, when we submit to the will of the Lord, and we seek His wisdom and His glory, He leads us down the path that will help us to seek Him the most. He blesses us abundantly every day with life, but we tend to ruin those blessings. By His grace we are still alive and able to learn from our sins. We are given opportunities every day to choose God’s glory, God’s way, rather than our own way, which leads to destruction. He has given us a Waymaker, the Lord Jesus Christ, who sets us on a narrow path that leads to righteousness. When we repent and put our trust in Him for salvation, we are given a new path that leads to life, wisdom, growth, and love. Let us seek the straight and narrow path to life, and run from the broad path that leads to death.

Public Service Announcement
hello, everyone! I want to make a public announcement to anyone who has been feeling alone and/or believes they can't talk about the effects of the struggle that they have. I wanto to begin holding something that i would like to call purpose meetings. These meetings are for anyone and everyone struggling with depression, anxciety, suicidal thoughts/contemplations, and any other mental health issues. The idea behind these meetings is for thge sturggling person to tal kthrough the issues at hand, but more importantly, to establish the fact that this person is intrinsically valuable due to being made in the image of God, that he/she has a purpose, and that his/her life ims important and full of purpose. The goal is to instill a knowledge of the gospel that brings hope into the person's life in place of despair broguht on to this person by sin and the lies of this world (there is nothing more to life than what you see, you have no purpose, you're a cosmic mistake that happened to win the life lottery so don't bother making more out of what you have, etc.) These meetings will be confidential and can be scheduled to last up to an hour. Multiple meetings can be scheduled throughout the week if need be, or can be schedueld once a week unti lthe person has a new confidence in Christ and his shed blood on cross, or until the person is overcoing their mental health struggles and can move on from the meetings confidently. These meetings are for nayone, whether they're a believer or nonbeliever, since all human beings have this nonbeliever, since all human beings hav this intrinsic value as creations made in the image of God. However, the pricniple will remain the some with all who scheule a meeting: Christ is the Way, The Truth, and the Life for all who call upon His name, and only he is able to take on our shame, our guilt, and our burdens. He is able to show you what you ean to him through hi word Seek him, and he will reveal himself to you. Feel free to message me for more details.
To anyone that needs to hear this: Please beleive that you have people in your life that want to help and support you in your time of need, even if it's a complete stranger. I want to help anyone that feels that despair of loneliness, which is why I'm opening up my time and efforts to anyone who needs to talk about what they're going through. You're not alone in your fight; please don't believe that you are.
