not to butt in but it also really annoys me when people say “eddie would be the best big brother to will”

Your response really made me think about it and I don't think Will would love Eddie lol. I always see posts about how Eddie would love and take Will in and protect him but idk if Will would feel the same. He's kind of territorial over DnD and his friends and doesn't like change so I doubt he'd love Eddie being the new dungeon master and it not being this small little thing between him and his friends. I mean the entire reason he didn't take his DnD board to Lenora is because he didn't want to play with another party. Add that to Eddie's sometimes abrasive personality, I can't see Will looking up to him in the way Mike and Dustin did.

For the most part yeah.

I think Will would join the club to be with his friends and no doubt he'd have fun playing d&d and all... but I don't think he'd subscribe to Eddie's lifestyle or idolize him like Mike and Dustin.

If I remember right, that's pretty much the exact position Lucas is in. He joined because Mike and Dustin joined and he doesn't really look up to Eddie like that. I feel like Lucas and Will would pretty much be on the same page.

Though I suppose Will would still be the odd one out cause he doesn't attempt to get along with the popular basketball kids and he's not interested in hanging out with the d&d kids either. Or I guess, he'd be like Max kinda. Doing her own thing. (or not, cause if El were there her and Max would definitely be together so)

But yeah. Will loves d&d... with his friends. He loves going to the arcade... with his friends. He likes going to the movies... with his friends (and his family). So yeah, adding in all those new people and an eccentric Eddie might rub Will the wrong way sometimes.

From Eddie's point of view, I dunno how he'd view Will. I think he really likes his group + Mike and Dustin cause they listen to him and look up to him. Clearly, he doesn't extend that attention to Lucas and made an effort to get a replacement for him.

If Will is just as wish washy as Lucas is about the Hellfire Club, then I imagine Eddie wouldn't be as charitable to him either.

I really wonder how how long Will will close himself off to meeting new people and making new friends. To be honest, I kinda hoped he would in California at least a little bit. Find like, one new friend like Jonathan and Argyle. But I guess not.

They really gotta press on that isolationist situation he's in I guess.
