"I haven't read Jane Eyre in ages. You do have a point about the smutty books, but sometimes it's fun to get some new ideas." She took both books, flipping them over to the back to take a look.

“Bet you get tired of telling people that.” Marcel smiled as he slid into the seat next to her. He had questioned her unique eyes himself once upon a time. Since then he had heard her having to convince dozens of others her eyes were real. “Now that looks good.”

Stefan was sure there was a measure of surprise on his face. The fact that she stood in front of him as a young woman instead of the child he once heard so much about was a testament to just how much time he had lost. "I know Klaus," he said, and there was an odd mixture of bitterness and nostalgia in his voice. "But I haven't seen him." Probably for the best. "That's why you're out here? Looking for your father?"

Then he thought on what she had said. "What do you mean by the only one that came back?" He didn't him want to consider that Silas could be roaming around somewhere.

She had been around during the time of people accusing others of being witches and getting them executed over it, so was it really that much worse? "Bartender. Which I haven't decided is good or bad for me yet considering how much I am usually the one at bars drinking. Guess we'll find out. My absolute favorite? Hard to say. Maybe Little Women. Jo is my idol. But I do enjoy those super trashy, smutty books as well."

"I was more so referring to all the vampires that seemed to find their way here. Technically they're dead too. Just more zombie like than all of this going on," she said, waving her hand around to refer to their current situation. "I'm Alexia Branson. Daughter of two long dead people. But everyone calls me Lexi. My best friend is one of you doppelganger things, but of the male variety."

From the moment it rose until it set, she was out enjoying it. It had been a long three hundred some years since she had been in the sun. "You're not Elena because she has a house. And Katherine has this snark thing going on that makes her constantly annoying. So you're another one of them. Am I right?"

"Cool. I just got my mom's dimples. And her smile. Oh and don't forget the mommy issues. At least I fit in with the cool kids," Lexi joked, wiping down a nearby table. She'd managed to compel her way into the a job at the Grill, mostly as a bartender, but she enjoyed chatting up the patrons whenever possible. "If people keep asking you though, you gotta come up with some sort of creepy story to fuck with people. Might as well take advantage of what you got."

it's funny how she could tell what people were thinking . feeling bad for having to take care of an unstable mother . how hard it was on the sisters . Haven't gotten paid yet," the vampire explained, flashing the woman a smile. "Anything you'd recommend? I don't have any preferences."
