she’s always imagined the day she’d see her father again. despite her wanting a happy ending, having a relationship every little girl always wanted with their father, she knows that she’d never have that with him. but at least she knows that she’ll be making a name for herself and proving her father wrong, proving anyone who was ever against her wrong. “the day will come, i’m sure,” she says with confidence, a smile gracing her lips. “who knows, maybe i’ll surprise myself and get onto the stage. what about you? is broadway your dream?”

“whatever legacy you see fit, mr. weston.” there’s a gentle smile to her lips as he calls her one of the best dancers. she prides herself in it and grateful that her parents enrolled her in all those ballet classes when she was a child. she’s stretching, elongating her spine with one leg lifted onto the barre as she listens to his story. “well, you could have had me fooled. you look like you could play baseball — or any sport, for that matter.” she chuckles softly, removing her leg from the barre so that both feet now lay flat on the floor. quinn nods understandably, relating to an unsupportive father. “at least you still have him around to shove your successful path back in his face.” what she would give to show her own father where she’d ended up now, though he would probably still manage to find something he disapproves of. “i don’t know — i don’t think broadway’s for me,” she starts, walking over to her bag to pick up her water bottle. “maybe the small or big screen.”

HE  HUMS  SOFTLY  ,  nodding  his  head  a  bit.             he  definitely  was  grateful  that  he  could  throw  everything  back  in  his  dad’s  face.         maybe  one  day  that  would  be  the  case.           he  shakes  his  head  ,  gaze  following  her  momentarily  before  looking  out  of  the  large  windows  looking  out  over  new  york.                  ❛      well.       you’ll  make  it  onto  one  of  those  screens  &  show  everyone  just  how  great  you  are.        ❜
