Yes, sorry for being not on! I’ve been busy with running the @gayestyugiohcharacter tournament and also my laptop broke so I couldn’t run either for a while. I’ve been thinking of getting another mod for this poll so it runs smoothly, but I’m bad with working with other people so I don’t know.

CINDERELLA TOURNAMENT SUBMISSIONS!

Submissions will be open since Monday, October 2 until Monday October, 16. I may extend submissions or end them early depending on how many characters are submitted.

Submit a Cinderella character (as in: a character who represents Cinderella; not any character in a Cinderella-themed piece of media) from any type of media (animation/live action/book/comics/etc.)

No unofficial characters (fan characters/OCs/etc.) + no real people.

You can submit more than one character, but please don't submit the same character multiple times or else they will be banned from the tournament.

Retelling & characters "acting" as Cinderella will be accepted!

The bracket will be determined depending on how many submissions there are. If there are a lot of submissions, then it will be a bigger bracket; the less submissions, then it will be a smaller bracket. The goal is to have at least a 32-poll bracket just like Red Riding Poll, but with there being more Cinderella adaptations out there than Red Riding Hood ones, I think we could easily get to a 64-poll bracket.

I reserve the right to not include a character if the piece of media for any reason.

Be nice-- this is just for fun! May the best Cinderella win!

Welcome to Tumblr Tourney to Determine the Best Monster from the Duel Monsters anime!

Rules:

This is to determine the best monster that appeared in the Duel Monsters anime! If the monster appeared AT ALL in duel monsters its eligible for the tourney.

Any monsters that appear in the manga, Toei Yugioh/Season 0, GX, 5Ds, Zexal, etc. etc. but not in Duel Monsters, then IT DO NOT COUNT. THIS IS FOR DUEL MONSTERS ONLY.

(In the future, I'll do tournaments for other Yugioh series, but for now, we're focusing on Duel monsters. There are already plenty there.)

Submissions will be open from Monday, September 11th to Monday, September 25th (2 weeks).

The size of the tournament will be determined by the amount of submissions received, but I would ideally like to do a 64, single-elimination bracket. If you want it to be less or more, then it's all up to you!

Feel free to submit as many monsters as you want, but do not submit the same monster more than once!

No monster will automatically make it to tournament! Feel free to submit anything, from the most popular to the most obscure monsters!

When submitting a monster, feel free to write some propaganda to be used during the poll!

When the poll starts proper, I will continue to accept propaganda by accepting it through the ask box and reblogging it! Anti-propaganda will be accepted ONLY after the poll begin.

(A)Kari Tsukumo from Yugioh Zexal and Haruka Kamijo/Tiadosia Kallister/Tiger from Yugioh sevens, sorry they are not good older sisters

Despite being the protagonist’s big sister, we barley see Akari do anything important, hell she doesn’t even get involved with Yuma’s journey other than yell at him

Which btw, I don’t like how they show the Tsukumo’s siblings relationship, yes siblings do bicker and argue, I should know I’m a little sister, but that’s ALL we ever seen them do. We never see Akari and Yuma actually bond or show affections like some of the past Yugioh siblings, hell we don’t even see Akari comfort Yuma when Astral was gone, and I hated that despite all she said, she barley got to do anything when Yuma was in danger. Also I don’t like how (atleast in the dub) when she saw Yuma was in the hospital she IMMEDIATELY blamed it on him for being there, girl what are you doing?????

When we’re introduced to her we see how HORRIFIED Luke is of her, to the point where he would sometimes hide behind his friends when she shows up. She gives him a reason to be scared too, she yells at him ALL the time and hits him. No one should ever be that afraid of their siblings, especially younger kids at their older siblings, that’s awful. Also Tiger had NO business being THAT mean to Luke, I get teases and noggies but holy shit Tiger is just straight up abusive at this point

Shark from YGO Zexal. Just a typical annoying tsundere, whose character motivations were always anchored to someone else (first his sister, then the Barians). Never actually developed further. Nor did he even win much either, for someone with so much hype behind him. Vector played him like a fiddle. Kite was better in every way, more sympathetic, more intimidating when he was in rival mode, more useful to the plot even in the second season, and when he changed sides, he didn't then change his mind because of a single flashback. He was cold, but once thawed, it stuck, even if took a log time. Further proved by the manga, where Shark is barely important at all (once again existing only to further Yagumo and Luna), whereas there's a lot of focus on Yuma and Kite. He's the inferior Zexal rival, no doubt. Has a unique deck, and that is it. And even that...no consistent Ace monster, cause Shark, much like his loyalties during a conflict, can never commit. On a more personal level, I hate his treatment of Quattro, given that Shark later on did something much worse, only he was forgiven with not another peep about it. To see Quattro's attitude in links, along with the fans never giving him a break for his 'sins' (that were not his own fault, as he was an abused child, and will forever have a scar to prove it), while Shark's sins are completely ignored, literally makes me hate the fandom.

Faker cause...bro literally justifies all his crap by suddenly saying it was to save Haruto...EVEN THOUGH HE ALMOST USED HIM AS A POWER SOURCE NOT TWO SECONDS AGO! Because that wouldn't kill a fragile kid, at aaaalllll. Almost killed his other son too, and lied to him just for giggles. As if Kaito wouldn't have done anything for Haruto anyway. Logic where? At least the taking over the planet thing had some. But then, you couldn't justify the man being forgiven...even though he in no way deserves it as it is. Kazuma, cause seriously, eff this man. Not only does he involve his young son in a war (cause he's totally ready for it at thirteen!), but what does he and his wife do after five years of being missing? Spend some time with their traumatized children? NAH, LET'S JUST LEAVE AGAIN AND MAYBE DIE IN SOME OLD RUINS WHERE NO ONE WILL FIND OUR CORPSES! Second verse, same as the first! Raising your children, lol, that crap is for the birds!

I am only not voting for Mirai, cause let's face it, she doesn't even have enough character to deserve a vote. Tron is already added, but his attitude to poor IV in particular was inexcusable. Also, where was he in the second season up until the moment he and Kazuma sacrifice themselves? We saw him at the end season one with his sons on the rooftop, he seemed pretty corporeal. But he was nowhere in sight in the submarine, didn't even help build the portal (and neither did Faker, btw)...guess being a dad is impossible in the Zexal world, unless you're abusing your kids! Which is, IMO, pretty crappy writing, regardless if one likes them or not.

The professor from Arc-V for being a creep and a plot device for brainwashing which is one of the worst tropes.

Kabukid from GX, the Kabuki duelist in episode 86 which is one of my least favorite episodes in the franchise. He's only there for one episode to be beaten by Judai in another boring duel. A forgettable filler character.

Aki from 5Ds, because the second season ruined her. 'I need to be a duel rider to understand Yusei', seriously, what the heck was that message? Did the first season mean nothing? Only for it to be totally pointless in the end: 'Benchwarmer'.

From Zexal, we have Kotori for being the very worst example of 'hanger on YGO girl'. Cathy, for having potential as a duelist, only to end up as nothing but the rival for the worst YGO girl. Rio, for being nothing but a shadow of her brother, who had so little plot use, she went into a coma twice.

Ruri and Rin from Arc V for being little more than carrots on sticks for men to chase after.

Ryouken from Vrains, for being the worst rival to ever grace the franchise. A genocidal maniac who never sees the error of his thinking, and still keeps it after the species he was racist against literally all died off (Duel Links). Dude, you won, let it go already! Had some of the worst fans ever too.

Yuga from SEVENS. To not make this even longer and too hateful, he was boring, a cheater, and actually a bad friend at points. Luke was a better protagonist.

Yuudias from Go Rush, for being dumb to the point of being a jerk at times. Though frankly, most Go Rush characters could go here, purely for being 'shout outs' to Sevens and not entirely their own people.

Another vote in for Rio Kamishiro. Mostly because I agree with the person who said she was a Mary Sue, but also, because she could have been kept in her coma and nothing would have changed. No skills to backup her attitude either. Kotori was at least humble in her role.
