Verses

These are the available verses for this blog, these verses are applied to all characters. Some of them are from my Eddsworld AU blog (prettyswellaus). Sorted in alphabetical order. More to be added later

Monster High

The crew are teenagers attending Monster High. This AU is based in Gen 1 but can be roleplayed with Gen 3 characters as well. Edd is a robot, Tom is a European dragon, Matt is a zombie-vampire hybrid, Tord is a werewolf, and Blaze is a phoenix.

Edd is 17, Blaze and Tom are 16, and Matt and Tord are 15 years old in this verse.

Newgrounds City

You know CN City? That era of Cartoon Network that had a bunch of Cartoon Network characters and their locations in one big city? Same idea here. Durdam Lane is in the suburban area a bit of a ways from the city, but not too far of course.

Nothing lore-wise changes really, this just has Eddsworld, FNF, Madness Combat, etc take place in the same universe.

Edd and the gang are all Pokemon trainers in this AU, each of them specializing in a specific type of Pokemon. Electric for Edd, Ice for Tom, Flying for Matt, Steel for Tord, and Fire for Blaze.

Splatoon

Here, Edd and the crew are inklings (except for Tord who is an octoling). Despite being adults, they never lost their love for turf war battles. Edd uses the Inkbrush, Tom uses the Krak-On Splat Roller, Matt uses the Splat Brella, Tord uses the Splat Dualies, and Blaze uses the Blaster.

Background and Personality

Blaze is a very fun-loving and passionate soul, especially in three things: Food, horror, and her friends. While, like the others, she can be impulsive and foolish, she is not without her moments of reason as well.

She can be quite the obsessive one, often getting carried away with her passions, straying into extreme methods to fulfill her desires regarding said obsession (ex: Becoming so obsessed with Halloween she flung pumpkins at houses putting on Christmas decorations.).

She's got quite the temper however, and things get to her pretty easily. Not to mention she's one to hold onto a grudge for god knows how long. She's also got some inner self-esteem issues, blame the bullying while she was in school.

Blaze was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Ezra and Johnny Thorburn. Life went well for the family until Ezra died of a heart attack when Blaze was 8 years old. Her family moved to the U.K a little while afterwards due to her father finding new work there. She met the boys in school when they defended her when she was being bullied, becoming friends with them as a result.

Blaze and her family moved back to the US during her high school years, but she still kept close to her friends through long distance and was able to be with them during vacations. She was however, an outcast in high school, and while not as bad as when she was younger, she was still picked on from time to time. 

After graduating, Blaze moved to the U.K and into Edd's house.

Her witch powers came to be as a result of an authentic witch book she bought at a yard sale...which went on to possess her and cause havoc. While the boys (sans Tord, for he was still in college) were able to stop her by burning the book, some of it's pages still survived. So her powers came back pretty slowly, though thankfully it's not able to take over her mind...usually..

After her powers returned, she got herself a newer, non-cursed, portable (smaller) spellbook.

Abilities and Quirks

Magic

Blaze has access to various spells at her disposal. As varied as her spells, there are limitations and restrictions to the extent of her powers. For one thing, her spells are reliant on physical and mental energy, and using more powerful spells for too long causes her to become exhausted with quite the headache (Though this will go away after some time, especially after a nap). Some of the more stronger spells also required a special ritual or perquisites to pull off (ex: certain ingredients or markings on the ground).

Blaze also cannot make things appear from nowhere, make people fall in love, bring people back from the dead, or kill someone directly (she can use her magic as a weapon, but has no access to "insta-death" type spells). Basically any spells that would make her too OP, kinda like the genie rules.

Her powers also become erratic and unpredictable when she's angry or under heavy stress.

*Yes he has a canon voice actor in Legacy, but due to the actions of said voice actor (I will not go into detail, but lust just say he did some bad touchies), my friend and I gave him a new voice.

Background and Personality

Despite what his clone would have you believe, Tord, the real Tord, is not evil. Sure, he can be impulsive, wild, and foolish like the rest of his friends, but his loyalty holds true.

If there's somethings that he and his clone do share, however, is their love and interest of machinery, robotics, and weapons.

In fact, Tord used to be quite trigger happy like his clone. However, that simmered down after getting mechanized. Having an arsenal of weapons originally meant to end so many lives tends to put things in perspective, ya know?

He ties with Tom as the voice of reason, but unlike Tom, Tord is a bit more stoic (not completely, mind you), less aloof, and more level-headed.

As for when he became a robot, you can thank Red Leader for that (see the lore post for more details). For when the crew were going to confront the clone, his cronies kidnapped Tord and turned him from a man into a machine.

Thankfully, he was able to escape since the people in charge of reprogramming him turned him on before the reprogramming, thus he was able to keep his (figurative) humanity intact.

Abilities and Quirks

Weapon arsenal

Tord has two modes "Attack Mode" and "Safe Mode". He made a "Safe Mode" function so he doesn't accidentally attack the innocent when out in public. When in attack mode, Tord has access to an arsenal of weapons, both non-lethal and lethal. Non-lethal weapons are used for humans and otherwise non-expendable species, whereas lethal weapons are used for robots, zombies, and all matter of expendable species, as well as a last resort. Some of these weapons are, but not limited to:

Non-lethal weapons: Knockout gas, tranquilizer darts, tazer hands, etc

Lethal weapons: Arm cannon blaster, missiles, flamethrower, etc

Microchips

Tord has various microchips kept in a drawer-like compartment of his body (ala Baymax). These chips give him several functions such as tasting food (as he originally wasn't able to after being mechanized), prevent him from being reprogramed (firewall chip), and translating and speaking other languages (as long as they are known human languages, ala French or Japanese).

Pain Immunity

He can also repair himself when he needs to, no doctors or hospital visits required!

Flight (via rocket feet)

Infinite power source

His clone discovered a type of energy that can power something indefinitely, and used just a fraction of that energy to power RoboTord.

Matt is the most energetic and outgoing of the group...as well as the most dimwitted.

If Matt loves one thing, it's himself. Mainly his face, as he is attracted to looking at his own visage in mirrors and hates it when it gets damaged or dirty. He is picky about and cares a lot about the presentation and aesthetics of things.

Despite his narcissism, he does value the others as best friends and cares about them greatly.

Matt is also a hoarder, in fact, the reason the house got a second floor in the first place was because of Matt's hoarding problem.

One fateful night led Matt to become a vampire...Halloween. When he was bitten by a vampire. Luckily for his friends, Matt sucked at being a vampire. After making the fatal mistake of going out into the sun, his vampiric abilities were dormant for quite a while, but eventually came back.

Don't ask how he came back from exploding from the sun's heat, just chock it up to cartoon logic.

Blood Consumption

Matt must feed on blood at least once a month. Otherwise his skin turns white, his eyes turn red, and he becomes significantly more fatigued.

Bat form

Cannot do this when it's day out. He will immediately return to human form once it's sunrise.

Garlic Allergy

He can get sick from eating garlic, and rashes from touching it. But otherwise it doesn't kill him per-se.

Sunlight Aversion

Cannot die in the sun, but gets sunburned pretty quickly and easily in it. He also can't turn into a bat when it's day out.

Hypnosis

He just does this to get others to do stuff for him. It does not work on inorganic beings, those without eyes, or those that have them covered.

Matt also doesn't show up in mirrors if they are blessed or made with silver. It also doesn't show up in the reflection of holy water.

Tom can be considered the voice of reason and intelligence of the group...usually. Like his other friends, he can act foolish and impulsive at times, and he is not above joining in on the fun despite his otherwise cynical and pessimistic attitude.

Tom's passions in life are music and his hatred for Christmas. The former of which is specifically with his bass, who he affectionately named "Susan". He also loves Smirnoff, like, to the point that it's a problem.

Tom is the most of aloof of the group, but don't let the frown and rude 'tude fool you, he does care about the others. He just prefers to show it in his own way.

Edd is the leader of the group, and the guy who started it all. Carefree, fun-loving, and adventurous, he's usually the one calling the shots and comes ups with the crews "bright" ideas. Not that he really seems to care about the stupidity of said ideas most of the time.

Edd can be charitably described as a kind of fool, an entertainer. He loves to crack puns and make stupid jokes, even if most others (his friends included) think they're annoying or lame.

Edd's other passion in life, aside from his love of comedy, is his love for coca cola. Not a day goes by where he as NOT had at least one can of cola. His hatred for diet cola and Pepsi is just as strong.

Like his friends, he can be foolish and impulsive. His love for cola can also be considered an obsession, since he can and often will go to great lengths to gain his delicious canned goods, for better or for worse...Usually worse. He's also got quite the ego, though nowhere on Matt's level.

The origins of his superpowers can be traced back to an incident involving his neighbors' nuclear-powered satellite. While his powers have dwindled a bit, the radiation still courses through his veins...waiting to be unleashed.

Note that most of these powers are when they are in the "active" state, which usually comes around when "agitated" (under heavy stress or anger).

Usually, his powers are in a "passive" state. His accelerated healing only slightly surpasses that of the average human (ex: an injury that would take two weeks to heal would only take one week for him to heal), Edd can only carry things twice his weight, and his eyes glow in the dark. All of his other powers are dormant, inactive in the "passive" state.
